I had always dreamed about walking down the aisle to the romantic sound of a single violin at my wedding someday, and thanks to Rebecca and Arreaux Strings my dream became a beautiful reality last month! I booked Rebecca as a solo violin with an amp and a custom arrangement in mind for my big moment. Rebecca was extremely easy to work with leading up to the big day and was enthusiastic and receptive to my ideas for the song I wanted to walk out to. They have a very impressive music catalog that guests happily listened to as they arrived. I feel awful I didn't get to actually speak to her on wedding day (busy day for the bride lol!) but that's a testament to how professional and trustworthy she was. We didn't need to go over any last minute details and I had one less thing to think about on wedding day! She had worked with our venue before so she was knowledgeable in when and where to arrive, where to set up, and what she needed to work. I would recommend Arreaux Strings to anyone looking to give their wedding ceremony a special touch from kind, trustworthy, and talented musicians.

Whether a wedding, private party, or your grandmother's 90th birthday, you can impress your guests with live chamber music. We have years of experience organizing wedding music, as well as music for other events including art gallery openings and brunches, dinner events, fundraisers, batmitzvahs, funerals, recordings, and (you guessed it) 90th birthday parties. Choose from a large assortment of music: classical, pop, ragtime, or opera and showtune favorites. (String Quartet has the most varied selection.) Special requests can be arranged, given enough time, for a $25 fee per song. We are happy to work with vocalists and church music directors. We have experience playing music for Catholic masses!

On the day of our wedding, Rebecca and the other musicians arrived on time, set up and played lovely prelude music for our guests. When I was walking down the aisle I even noticed how incredible Arreaux Strings sounded. The ceremony went off without a hitch! We also had the string ensemble play during our cocktail hour. Our guests raved about the Bridgerton vibes that I had requested, and again Arreaux strings over delivered!

We communicated with Rebecca Shaw and she was incredibly professional and prompt for every email and phone call/zoom! We wanted to have a string duo playing current music all throughout our dinner to provide a nice background ambiance and fun atmosphere for our guests. Especially since we weren’t allowed to dance and there were only about 20 people. Arreaux were perfect and exactly what we wanted, our guests loved guessing the songs and it was a fun surprise since they were expecting classical music! They have a huge catalog of current music available to play and learned 2 new songs just for us that they didn’t have in the catalog. I can’t say enough how happy we were to work with them! They even replayed a song so my dad and I could have a little unplanned father daughter dance, which was really special. I highly recommend using Arreaux Strings for your event! It couldn’t have gone better!

I didn't have to worry about set-up or timing, which I also really appreciated! It was clear that the group is very familiar with playing at wedding ceremonies, and that meant Rebecca didn't need to ask me for lots of little details. I'd previously considered trying to find a music student to save some money, but I am SO GLAD I chose Arreaux Strings instead. Their music and professionalism helped my ceremony feel elegant and many guests mentioned them specifically as an amazing part of the day.
