About this vendor
Arrowood Photography & Cinema is a San Francisco wedding photography and film team led by Tara Arrowood, with cinematographer Martin Meyer. For 26 years, Tara has photographed weddings across San Francisco, Napa, Sonoma, Monterey and Carmel, from City Hall elopements to multi-day Indian and multicultural celebrations.
Our approach is documentary. We offer calm guidance when you need it, then step back so the real moments can happen. Photography and cinema are planned together by one team, so the two work as one instead of competing for the same moments. Every gallery is delivered within two weeks.

Tara was so amazing to work with! She made us feel so comfortable taking photos, that by the end of it, we wanted to do even more! Getting to work with her for our engagement photo...
s was a great way to meet her and get comfortable having our photos taken. She is also very comfortable with your furry friends! She gave us the perfect number of adjustments in photos so we didn’t feel like we were overly posing, but we also got amazing photos. During the events, her team was so unobtrusive but still got a ton of beautiful candid shots and portraits. She also knew how to manage large families for the family portraits. The entire family loved working with her team! We loved that she gave us a sneak peek of the photos the week after the wedding and gave us the full set within 2.5 weeks of the wedding.
Calling Tara amazing doesn’t begin to cover it! Tara captured our wedding with her exceptional eye for photography that transforms her work into fine art. Tara's unique artistic, y...
et photojournalistic style captured photos from across the spectrum: from stunning formal portraits, to unobtrusively capturing our most intimate and raw moments, to hilarious candid photos on the dance floor! Her work expands beyond simple photojournalism--she creates ethereal, fine art worthy of canvas!
Tara helped us feel relaxed and natural in front of the camera and captured the intense, raw emotions we felt that day. Tara went above and beyond what we expected of a wedding photographer--she held our wedding rings for us, helped with dress and veil fluffing, dress bustling (and unbustling), and even held my bouquet. She was also an excellent bridal party wrangler! Documenting our wedding through photos and video were the two most important things to my husband and me. It was an investment for sure, but it was without a doubt worth every penny. We are so happy we went with Tara and we love looking at our wedding photos and album over and over again! If you're considering hiring Tara, stop thinking about it and hire her before someone else scoops her up (she books up fast!)!
Hands down the best photographer out there! Patient, creative, fun, easy-going, wonderful & amazing!!! Would highly recommend to everyone...and will definitely use again!!!
