The art museum made a beautiful reception space for our wedding. We loved the bar area once we had it decorated, and loved the floor to ceiling windows letting in natural light and looking out into downtown. Our guests also loved that they were able to stroll around and go into the exhibits while they waited on us to take pictures. Bree was great and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a night to remember!
I had a great time at the museum for my reception. It was a beautiful venue and downtown Beaumont is a cool place to invite my out of town guests to. They got to see the pretty side of Beaumont. The art galleries were a great diversion for guests to enjoy before the wedding party got there. The staff was very helpful in getting me to the day of with checklists and support. The only negative would be that the space seems a little divided between the main floor and the seating for guests in the cafe. It worked. It may have even helped people get out of their seats.
I cannot be more happy that we chose The Art Museum of South Texas for our wedding day! Being from Corpus, there are only so many places that you can imagine getting married that haven't been used over and over again. We looked at 1 other venue, Gaslight Square, and ended up choosing the Art Museum because of it's size and the fact that Norman Rockwell was going to be exhibited while our wedding was there. We worked with Vicki Beck from the start and she really made sure that everything came together as it should. She was great with all the other vendors during walk-thrus, making sure that my vision could be completed while keeping the artwork safe and protected. The day of the wedding, my wedding party and I were upstairs getting ready as Marilyn made sure that the vendors knew where to go and when. Thanks to everyone at the Art Museum, my the preparation for the ceremony was more relaxing and peaceful than I ever could have imagined. We are SO pleased with the Art Museum and all of their staff.
very good venue
I loved the cultural aspect of it and I loved how beautiful and cultured it looked lit up at night.;Really small dance floor and the on site wedding person was great until wedding day when she was a little pushy and rude to vendors! Staff is a little strange they grabbed a bottle of wine and drank it while we were there!
