Artemis Photo is a wedding photography company based in Whippany, NJ. Owner Ryan Greene has been a professional photographer since 2005. He is passionate about his craft, and he loves working with happy couples who share his enthusiasm for quality work. Ryan is proud to have been a part of so many special days, and he cannot wait to join you for the next chapter of your incredible journey.
Ryan enjoys science fiction, comics, and all things nerdy, and he is happy to help couples incorporate their preferred fandom into their wedding photos. He personality is incredible, relaxing and fun and he delivers with incredible photography. Prior to the wedding, Ryan would always answer any questions myself or my wife had, and always kept us/our wedding day in mind. We did our engagement shoot with Ryan, which was a wonderful experience! My wife and I have not taken professional photos together, and Ryan ensured we felt comfortable doing so, while capturing amazing content both in the daytime and at night. On the day of the wedding, Ryan and his assistants were impeccable on timing which was so important to us. He made sure we stuck to schedule (without rushing), made sure we got all our photos and was so fun to be with for the entire day. We had a very large wedding with alot of family photos we wanted to captured and he led the room (fill with loud ready to party family members) to ensure we got every photo perfect. He also ensures all in the photos are posed correctly not just the bride a groom. A small detail that makes the finished product that much better. Ryan is such an incredible photographer - he has such an amazing eye for good shots, lighting, poses, etc. Our wedding photos are more than my wife could have ever dreamed of, that I know we will cherish forever. presence that I didn’t even remember he was in the room at some points. He made us feel so comfortable and natural posing for pictures (something we aren’t used to doing at all) and kept the mood light with his quiet jokes. We were also so impressed with how flexible he was with our schedule, we had planned a grand exit with bubbles and he could tell that we were having too much fun on the dance floor to stop the party in order to set up for those photos so he communicated that with us perfectly. Even though we wish we had those photos it was the best decision because our guests had so much fun and danced the night away. We also got the photos back so quickly and they’re absolutely beautiful. call. Ryan is a great photographer, really knows what he is doing. We wanted want photos that are vibrant, rich, and showed the true colors – instead of the more washed out “light and airy” photos (just not our style). Every single one of our pictures are exactly that and are beautiful! We got all of our pictures in less than 3 weeks, which was fantastic.
We got all of the key portraits and most of the photos on our list, but, we did miss a couple shots that would have liked. This is understandable given 1 photographer and trying to beat the rainy weather. We were hoping for a few more candid’s overall and some more fun/posed action pictures of us and the wedding party rather than just regular portraits. A little more direction or ideas for fun non-portraits would have been helpful, it is an overwhelming day for the bride and groom to remember all the ideas on the spot. All that said, we would definitely use Ryan again, but maybe would just coordinate a little more.

You will be there, and will say to yourself "yea, this is going to be a great shot" but when you see the final photos, even the previews, its more than you imagined. He can find the right angle to take a shot from great to amazing. Always prepared and very well organized. He will be upfront with you from the beginning and be receptive to your thoughts and needs, so you will be sure to get those shots you wanted, but he will bring them to the next level and offer his recommendations. Ryan will also be on the look out for shots on the fly. He will see a great photo opportunity and make it possible.
His creative range is quite vast. He is very experience in traditional, posed photos and he can take those traditional photos and step it up a notch by finding interesting scenery options, poses and angles so it looks a little different, if that is what you want. He is also excellent at taking more offbeat and non-traditional photos that are less "posey." Plus, he is very talented with candid moments.
We were extremely pleased with all the photos he took of me and my husband. Ryan was detailed in location in the park we were taking our shots at, what we needed to be prepared for and asked for anything in specific we wanted. The day of was extremely smooth and even fun! He captured some of the most amazing photos of us.
