Julie was wonderful, as was our wedding cake. Honestly, the cake was the highlight of the evening for everyone—so beautiful and unique. Julie was so great during the whole process. I will be recommending her whenever I can.

Julie is INCREDIBLE at what she does, it’s hard to find the words to describe her talent! She is so accommodating to food allergies and we’ve always had an awesome experience with her. Super affordable prices for insanely good desserts! They not only taste good but they also look amazing. Highly recommend.

Planning and coordinating my wedding took a great deal of time and effort. Every single detail was mulled over because I wanted everything to be perfect. And that certainly included finding the perfect cake designer. We scheduled a few tastings and meetings with different cake chef/designers. We sat, we tasted but one clearly stood out from the rest. Artful Cakery by Julie was everything I was looking and hoped for. I wanted a designer who would be able to conjure up magic from the vague descriptions we gave of what we wanted. We had a theme, a color pallet, and that was about it. Julie listened, asked all the right questions, drew up some examples, and voila, created the cake of my dreams! It was absolutely perfect and incredibly delicious! Even my Gluten-free tier was scrumptious! Julie completely exceeded our expectations. I STILL get comments on how delicious our cake was. Not only are her designs artful and cakes bursting with flavor, but Julie is an incredible human to boot. I could tell that she genuinely cared about us, our journey together, and ensuring that our special night was as magical as we had hoped for. Her care, communication, attention to detail, enthusiasm, and all out professionalism allowed me the freedom to take this oh so important task off my proverbial plate. I walked away from our meeting feeling really good about letting go and that in and of itself, is priceless. Julie is now our forever go to for all of our event desserts. I might even make up some events in between the real ones ;) Thank you so much Julie!

Julie with Artful Cakery has been our baker for years now. She has made my wedding cakes, baby shower cake, and now my son's birthday cakes. Her communication is timely and professional, and she can make anything I ask for. Her cakes and treats are not only well priced but absolutely delicious!! Any time she supplies for my events everyone raves about her pastries and ask for her information. I will never use another vendor again. If you are looking for a beautiful, delicious cake for a wedding (or any event) I recommend Artful Cakery! 10/10 experience, taste, and pricing! You can't beat it.

So, I really needed a traditional Italian Rum wedding cake for our wedding. Good luck!! After trying many, many vendors, Julie responded and said she could do it. When we tried the cake, my fiance, who is Italian, said it was "perfection." I loved it too! Rum soaked cake, custard, whipped cream and almonds...to die for! She delivered it herself and our guests were so impressed. I am ordering one every year for our anniversary from now on. Incredible. Thank you, Julie for our beautiful cake and making our day magical...

I cannot say enough about the level of professionalism and care Julie brought to our occasion. She has truly gone above and beyond for me. I have a gluten allergy and she helped me have the perfect wedding cake that I could have and eat it too! She also brought me gluten free samples to a bridal show we were both attending. I will be using Julie for all of our family and specialty cakes!

We started planning with Julie in March for an October wedding (and shower). She has gone above and beyond expectation, and the desserts she did for our shower (mini cupcakes, decorated cookies, cake pops, and brownie bites) were beautiful and so very tasty.
She worked with both bride and groom for custom wedding/groom cake designs; she arranged cake tastings so they could try a variety and choose their favorites; she is delivering to our event (not a venue) in the mountains, and we simply couldn’t be more pleased.

Best experience ever!!! Our cake was beautiful, and Julie was so nice and so easy to work with!!! She also made our grooms cake, which was James Bond themed!!! It was a hit!! I highly recommend her, she is 5 Stars in my book!!!!❤️

I loved designing the wedding cake to go along with the stand and special table you ordered. I think it was classy and out of the ordinary! The Bond theme was so much fun and I liked the whimsy it added to the wedding.

I initially met Julie at a wedding expo, she spent a great deal of time with me answering questions even though there were so many others waiting to speak and sample her delights. When I reached out to her, she remembered our conversation from that expo. Additionally, she scheduled a tasting where she provided the flavor combination I requested (chocolate and almond layers with butter cream icing). My initial order was two top tiers with 30 cupcakes (chocolate, almond, and vanilla) to support 30 guests. Actually 58 guests attended and raved over the cake; there was nothing left but the actual topper layer which I was able to save for the 1st anniversary. I was truly impressed because not only does she provide a flavorful product, but she provides awesome service, set up and delivery. She knows her business and represents it well through the product and service that she offers. I can talk about the amazing taste as well as the affordability, but the truth is she offers and delivers so much more. Julie initially provided services for my daughters first wedding, and she has guaranteed her spot to service the upcoming reception. Additionally, I will call upon her for any future needs that she can support. Anyone working with her would be pleased with her services as she is the total package in specialty baking!

Julie’s cakes are amazing! Our wedding cake was more beautiful than I could have imagined. The cake was classy and elegant on the outside with a little fun surprise on the inside. The pale green icing between the layers was perfect for our St. Patrick’s Day wedding. It was exactly what we asked for. Every year for our anniversary, she continues to make the top tier of our wedding cake which is always a beautiful reminder of our wedding day and now our kids get to celebrate our wedding with us. Julie continues to make cakes for our family for various celebrations. We keep coming back to her!

I grew up on a family farm in South Georgia surrounded by women who were excellent cooks. From a young age you could find me standing on a stool so I could see over the countertop “helping” my grandmas make meals for our family and treats for special occasions. When I went away to college, my roommates were from all over the country so they were not near family for birthdays and I decided to bake cakes for them. I got married and we had our first child in 1998 and I began baking and decorating cakes for family and friend birthdays. As my children grew up, I began to get requests from party guests to make cakes. As my confidence and experience grew, I began to make more elaborate and creative cakes. In 2009, I made my first wedding cake for a close friend's daughter. The cake requests continued to come in. In 2013 I wanted to make sure I was doing things the right way and got a Cottage Food License, business license, and sales tax permit. Artful Cakery by Julie was officially opened for business! The more creative, unique, and elaborate a cake, the more I enjoy it!
