We took lessons our wedding first dance at Arthur Murray Boston. We were very pleased with the level of choreography and care from the Arthur Murray team--if we had to reschedule lessons, they were always very accommodating and the hand-offs between the different instructors was smooth. We did the 10 lesson package and felt it was right for us, as a couple who didn't have any ballroom dancing experience. By the end, we felt quite confident and polished in the routine. During the wedding, we were able to recover from an early mistake and nobody could tell!

We cannot say enough good things about our experience working with AM to learn our first dance! We started taking classes about 6 months before the wedding. I had some dance experience, but my husband did not. Our music choice was fairly niche and we had a vague idea of what we were looking for, but were honestly not sure it would be possible. We splurged on a 16-class package and worked primarily with Lance. Lance was incredible!! He was creative, patient and friendly. He had a strong vision for the dance and tailored it to our experience level and practical things like my dress. When we finished learning our dance, he spent a few classes teaching some fun reception dance moves. We also made use of the couples dance classes on Saturdays. We had so much fun at the wedding and people loved our dance. All in all, this was one of the most memorable parts of wedding prep.

My husband and I took dance lessons before our wedding at Arthur Murray in Cambridge. We had a somewhat unique situation, living bicoastally while planning a wedding, but Christian and his team were able to devise a plan for classes that would allow us to have a choreographed first dance. We worked with several instructors (Lance, Rubin, Christian, Maddie), and liked how they each could add different insight and suggestions to our lessons. We had such a great time taking lessons for our wedding that we plan to continue them in the future.

We weren't sure it would actually be possible to do a first dance to a song from Coco (particularly because one of us is *brand* new to dancing) but the team choreographed the whole thing wonderfully. We worked with Pedro and Mady on both the first dance and some social dancing and they were both awesome. Our first dance was a huge hit, and we used a lot of the social dancing during our wedding reception just for fun!

We had the absolute best time at Arthur Murray. From the moment we walked in, Christian made us feel comfortable and excited to begin dance lessons. We worked almost entirely on our first dance with Lance. He is truly THE BEST! We looked forward to dance lessons and even did extra lessons because we were having so much fun and learning so much from Lance. We truly cannot say enough good things about our experience.

My husband and I took dance lessons at Arthur Murray before our wedding! We were recommended to Arthur Murray by a friend who used them for her wedding dance lessons! with just 7 weeks until our wedding the instructors at Arthur Murray taught us everything we needed to know, listened to our “wants” for the dance, and corrected our “faults” in such a kind, constructive way. The owner also took time after 2 of our lessons to really break things down with us and dance with both of us to make sure we felt more comfortable with our spins / turns. We primarily worked with Melissa who was FANTASTIC! Everyone there was super nice but we truly loved working with Melissa - she is an incredible dancer and instructor! Neither my husband or I had any dance experience previously but we left Arthur Murray feeling confident and “wow-ed” the guests at our wedding as they definitely did not expect us to do a fun upbeat choreographed dance! Our song was I love you always forever by Donna Lewis!

We had so much fun at our dance lessons! I was initially hesitant to add something else to the pre-wedding to-do list, but my husband convinced me, and I’m so happy he did! We even took several more lessons after the wedding, and I’m hoping to go back again in the future. We worked mostly with Dave on our wedding dance, and I was really impressed with how many details he thought through (taking into account the dress length, positioning of the photographer, etc.) We also each did one lesson with our parents the day before the wedding and I think even my dad had fun :)

We worked with Lance and Mac who choreographed an incredible wedding first dance for us! Both of them had such an incredible and lovely energy and we are so grateful they made our first dance very special. We had so much fun learning ballroom fundamentals with them and we especially loved the lessons with Lance where we worked on emotions and connecting to each other. Christian was also lovely and made sure to check in on us frequently to make sure we were happy throughout the entire process. I highly recommend this studio, you will be in good hands!

Arthur Murray was amazing!! We worked with Maddy & Mac for several weeks, and took on a pretty ambitious project, choreographing an entire song. They were so kind and helpful, and we really enjoyed all of the lessons- it was the most fun part of our wedding planning for sure! We had an absolute blast showing off our dance at the wedding, and all our guests commented that it was the best first dance they'd ever seen. Thank you so much!!

We had the best time learning the Waltz at Arthur Murray studio for our wedding. The staff is very polite and patient towards inexperienced dancers. We also got to perform our wedding dance in front of an audience as a spotlight at one of the parties. Everything was great and we highly recommend this studio.

Arthur Murray Dance Studio worked with us over two months, and 10 lessons to get my fiancee and I up and running with a complicated Viennese Waltz. We worked primarily with Catherine and Mady who did a great job accommodating the opposite learning styles that my wife and I have! They were flexible and made tweaks to the choreography to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. They recorded us practicing and also recorded themselves doing the choreography as an extra tool for learning. The studio is a pleasant space to be, and it wasn't difficult to schedule extra time outside of our lessons to use the space for free to practice. They also did an event the week before our wedding where we could perform our dance together in front of other students. It was scary, but it helped work out some of the nerves so that we felt ready and comfortable on our wedding day. We were very pleased with how everything went. Thank you!

We couldn't recommend Arthur Murray more highly! We wanted to prepare for our first wedding dance, and needed something to do while we were stuck inside over quarantine winter, so we turned to Arthur Murray and their virtual dance class offerings. Everyone we interacted with at Artur Murray was extremely talented, very helpful, and excited to help us in whatever way they could. We learned multiple dances that went along with our song, plus some other dances for quicker songs. The coaches also gave us a framework for the choreography so that we could have something to work from that made the dance look and feel great, and didn't require memorizing exactly what to do step by step for the entire song. It felt as though everyone at Arthur Murray was personally invested in making our first dance exactly what we wanted it to be.
