We had lessons with Mallorie before our wedding day and she was amazing! My husband and I both wanted to have a little more of an involved dance than just swaying back and forth, but neither of us had any ballroom dance experience so were a bit nervous about getting lessons. But Mallorie made everything so easy! She worked with us at our level and gave us a routine that fit so well with our song - it had enough structure that we got to do some fun steps, spins, and a dip at the end, but there wasn't so much going on that we felt worried about remembering it. And the dance went off perfectly on our wedding day! She also helped me prepare for my Father of the bride dance (My dad lives in a different city so we weren't able to practice together), and she was able to help me with that just by watching the video of what the dance was going to be! We are so grateful for her help and highly recommend her and the studio if you are wanting dance lessons!
We enjoeyed the lessons. It gave us a start in what we wanted to do for our first dance.
Jed is the all time best dance instructor EVER! The entire crew does an awesome job, and everybody is so kind. They offer group classes all week that are free to attend to all of their students, so that you can learn multiple dances at one time. They make dancing fun and can create a wonderful and fun dance for you and your future spouse.
Waste of money. your "private lessons" are with an instructor on a crowded dance floor mixed in with other couples and sometimes even group classes. Not to mention there's a constant fight over the stereo amongst all the instructors so you only get to practice to your song for about 30 seconds at a time. My husband and I did get a couple dance moves to incorporate into our first dance, but for the cost of this place it's definitely not worth it!
My fiance and I tried a Arthur Murray on for a dance lesson at a reduced rate for a one time lesson. We had heard great things about the studio and were looking forward to gaining some coordination. We have no negatives to say about the service, our instructor was very kind and a lot of fun and all the instructors that attended us were very polite and eager to teach. The lesson went great, but when we saw the figures to continue we just couldn't do it. If you're willing to pay the price I would recommend Arthur Murray for the the enthusiastic instructors and fun feel they provide but we just couldn't bear to spend all that money.
I've danced all my life, but never ballroom styles. This studio is a great place to learn and help make the groom feel comfortable. Their packages seem pricey at first but when enrolled you can attend unlimited amounts of group lessons and parties! Their instructors are amazing and I will continue to take lessons even after the wedding. Our first dance was beautiful and everyone at the reception loved it! They tailor to your style and personalities!
