We loved our lessons at Arthur Murray! We had Aaron and Sydney as our instructors. We can't say enough good things about our experience with Aaron and Sydney! From the moment we started our first dance lessons, their energy and positivity were contagious. They made learning to dance not only fun but a truly special part of our wedding preparation. Their enthusiasm created an atmosphere that was both relaxed and motivating, making us excited to keep learning with every session. What really stood out was how they took the time to style our dance, helping us create a performance that felt personal and magical. It was clear they genuinely cared about making this part of our wedding journey memorable. Their professionalism, patience, and creative guidance turned what we thought would be a daunting task into one of the most enjoyable and fun experiences of the entire process—plus, it doubled as a perfect date night! My fiancé and I had an exceptional experience learning our first dance at The Arthur Murray Dance Studio. We completed the 15-lesson package in preparation for our upcoming wedding, primarily with the talented instructor, Connor Morris, although we also had lessons with other excellent instructors. Each lesson was enjoyable, engaging, and low-stress, which not only helped us learn our first dance but also instilled a sense of pride in our progress by lesson 15. The dance lessons have proven to be our favorite investment throughout the wedding planning process, encouraging us to schedule weekly dance dates, acquire new skills, and enjoy ourselves amidst the demands of wedding planning. I highly recommend Arthur Murray Dance Studio, and we are eager to return for further lessons in the future.

My wife had asked me to try out Arthur Murray 2.5 years ago so we could go to NYE parties and swing dance. Since then we have learned dances ranging from swing to tango. We have had so much fun learning these dances, we had asked if they would choreograph our first dance at our wedding. We didn’t stop there as I wanted to include choreographed dances with my mother in law and mother. The instructors created the dances which were elegant and easy to follow. Each instructor has been extremely patient with me as I was/am incapable of keeping a beat. Even though taking ballroom dance lessons have been way outside my comfort zone, I have been so thankful my wife suggested we start. The lessons are a great way to have a structured date. We try to encourage our friends and everyone else we meet to give them a shot. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and personable. Getting to know each of them has added to the experience and keeps us coming back.

We loved Kaitlyn! She was easy to work with and we loved her choreography. She was so patient and often broke steps down multiple times for us until we got it down.

Katelyn and Connor were so awesome to work with and extremely professional. They helped us out so much and made us look so good!

My now husband and I got the ten dance lessons package for our first dance at our wedding and the lessons were incredibly fun and helped us perform our first dance well! We did not want an over choreographed dance and did not want to be a couple just swaying back and forth either. They taught us the basics and then built on them to come up with a dance to a song that we chose. Aaron and Rachel were patient and attentive to detail. From the fun date nights to the actual dance on your big day, you will not regret booking this! We now have more dancing skills for life as well! Thanks Aaron and Rachel!

Aaron and Kaitlyn did such an amazing job teaching us an entire dance routine in just 6 lessons! They worked so well with our, tight, timeline, and our dance preferences. We have truly been enjoying our lessons leading up to the big day. The whole team is super professional and gives great tips and easy instructions when learning new dances. We saw the studio driving by a few times and are so happy we’ve been able to learn to dance together! We are hoping to join some group classes after our wedding!

Rachel and Sydney are amazing. Looking around seeing the skill and interest in their dancers, I suspect all instructors are excellent at the Lenexa location. This is a place where beauty is created. My daughter and I learned a dance for a wedding reception father-daughter dance, which we kept secret from everyone. I had no dance experience. Instruction was thorough and patient. They got us both comfortable to do this in front of 100 people. We highly recommend these two instructors. If seeking assistance, the instructors (more broadly) at this location are the folks you want to work with. You won’t regret it.

The whole team has been very professional and helpful to us learning how to dance. I don't remember all of the instructors we've had but shout out to all of them! We are becoming better and better on our dancing thanks to the studio staff! We can't wait to show off what we've learned to our guests at our wedding! Thank you all so much!.

Dance lessons at Arthur Murray have been such an enjoyable experience! First and foremost, all of the instructors we’ve worked with have been delightful. Rachel, Aaron, and Connor have been so helpful in guiding us to be better dancers. We had limited experience with formal dance training before our lessons at Arthur Murray, and now we feel confident in our ability to dance with each other. The entire staff is incredibly supportive, positive, energetic, and downright fun to work with. I could not recommend them more highly! And if you’re not sure if dance lessons are worth the investment, let me add that in the chaos of trying to balance work schedules and wedding planning timelines, my fiancé and I always looked forward to our dance lessons. Not only did we get to learn a lot and truly gain an understanding of how to better dance with each other, but having a regularly scheduled time to just be together and focus on each other has been something that kept us feeling connected during the wedding planning process. My fiance and I have never taken formal dance lessons before, let alone feel very comfortable dancing in general. We wanted to challenge ourselves to learn some form of dancing before our wedding. We had no idea what to expect, but they sat us down, asked what reasons we have for wanting to learn, and worked with us diligently to find the style of dance best suited to our needs. From there, we signed up for a 10 private and 5 group Dance lessons, and it was absolutely worth every penny! We picked our song, and Aaron and Sydney guided our dance routine every step of the way. They are both so fantastic! They detailed the dance to fit our style as a couple and fit within the theme of our wedding. Both of them helped add unique pieces of flair and fantastic notes on how to improve each time. Working with them was so wonderful. Everyone at Arthur Murray is so kind and talented, I'd recommend this dance studio to anyone! Completely a beginner or working on improving established skills, they'll definitely be able to help.

We love working with Connor! He is so knowledgeable, a great teacher, and so fun! Every time we go we feel like it’s a date night. We feel so much more comfortable now that we took lessons! It is such a fun thing to do to prepare to be married.

If you have doubt about booking, literally JUST DO IT. Wedding planning can get stressful at times, however this allowed us to have built in date nights and learn something together as a couple we will take with us the rest of our lives. Our instructors were Aaron and Rachel. I have nothing but amazing things to say about both of them. Rachel feels like your biggest hype girl. Her energy is so contagious and she is amazing at what she does. She is so positive while giving very helpful cues to polish your skills. Aaron is FANTASTIC. He is of course an incredible dancer and teacher. He provides feedback in such a receptive and encouraging manner. He is professional, yet makes it playful and fun! Both Aaron and Rachel share genuine excitement when you execute new moves, which is very encouraging. I would highly recommend Arthur Murray! If possible - request Aaron and Rachel!

We have no dance experience prior but knew we wanted some help to make our first dance special. Sydney and Aaron made learning our wedding dance so much fun!

We have loved our 1:1 lessons with Aerin and Sydney! They are wonderful and have helped take the pressure off our first dance. We look forward to working with them each week!

My fiance and I knew we wanted to have a choreographed dance for our wedding, we went to a consultation here and knew they would be the best option. Lauren has primarily been the one working with us and she has been so great! We have never danced before and all the teachers are very patient and encouraging. We like that they completely plan out your dance and teach you step by step, they are willing to work in any specific moves you want as well. We are so excited to surprise our wedding guests with a special dance and are feeling so accomplished already!

My fiancé and I signed up for dance lessons for our first dance at our wedding. Kaitlyn is our dance instructor and we absolutely love her! Our first dance song is ‘Someone by Aaron Lewis. Kaitlyn is putting together a rumba dance with twirls and intimate moments that are making the song and us come alive! We highly recommend this place!

We took dance lessons here for our wedding! We had 3 instructors, Rachel- who started us with the beginning, Kaitlyn- who did majority of our lessons and was awesome, and also Aaron- who was there for our last class to help fine tune our dance. Would recommend if you’d like to learn a cute dance for your first dance!

My fiancé and I weren’t dancers so we decided to take lessons and surprise our guests with a choreographed first dance. This was easily the best part of wedding planning! From the beginning, the staff was so welcoming and supportive. They helped us narrow down our song selection to “Can’t Help Falling In Love” by Kina Grannis and determine the Rumba steps fit it. Each lesson was a little date night for us to learn something new together and the team even threw in a few different dips. Everyone we worked with was exceptional - we loved Kaitlyn (and her infectious personality), Aaron, and Connor! I would encourage every couple to consider Arthur Murray!

My fiancé and I felt so comfortable at Arthur Murray from the second we walked inside. We got a free complimentary dance lesson to start. After our first lesson they sat down with us to go over lesson package options and were not at all pressuring us about our budget. We signed up for 10 lessons to prepare for our first wedding dance. We have done 4 sessions so far with Rachel and she has been soooo amazing! I am a very shy dancer and she has made me feel so confident and not at all embarrassed. My fiancé and I look forward to our weekly dance lessons- truly the most relaxing part of wedding planning!

Love this. Great experience! Lauren and the rest of the staff were so lovely in teaching us. We never felt uncomfortable. And for first time dancers, they made it really easy to learn basic moves that look very fluid and professional. We can’t wait to show everyone our dance on our wedding day! We went from not knowing how to take simple steps in time together to having a fully choreographed dance for our wedding. It was insane how in just a couple months time we got that "Woah, that was amazing" feeling.

My Fiance Tyler and I first went to Arthur Murray to ask about lessons a month out from our wedding. I realized I procrastinated and should have reached out sooner but the instructors are so accommodating and we were able to squeeze in all our lessons prior to the wedding to make sure we felt comfortable and gave us enough time to learn our choreographed dance. They asked us what we wanted from our lessons and they definitely helped us achieve what we were looking for. Joshua and I loved working with Kaitlyn and the other dance instructors for our six dance lessons to prepare for our first dance. We feel confident going into our wedding dancing to "The Nearness of You" by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong and we can't wait to show it off to our guests. It's been a good opportunity for Joshua and I to connect weekly outside of the other stressors that come with wedding prep.

Everyone there is so incredibly friendly! My fiancé and I had never danced before and needed a lot of help, but each instructor made us feel at ease and took their time to teach us what we needed to know! Very low stress environment and learned in such a fun way how to dance for our wedding.

My fiance and I decided to take private lessons to learn a first dance for our wedding reception. The staff at Arthur Murray are all so nice and bubbly. Rachel was our teacher for our private lessons and she was awesome! She was so kind, supportive and took into account what we wanted. They really focus on your skill set and make sure the dance is clean and that the couple feels comfortable. Rachel always answered our questions and made sure we were comfortable with our steps before moving on. We have grown together in this new activity and plan to come back after we are married to learn more about dancing as a couple. We also got a package that included group lessons. These lessons were for multiple couples/singles to come learn at least 3 new steps to dance to. This was really helpful to learn ways to dance to numerous songs at our reception. It was so much fun and staff was so helpful. We highly recommend this dance studio and are so pleased with making the memory of our first dance so special.

They were fantastic to work with. They asked us initially what style/vibe we were going for with our first dance and after that initial consult they created an amazing dance for us that we learned over 10 sessions. They were so fun to learn from with every lesson. Highly recommend if you are looking for a fun choreographed first dance!

We really enjoyed working with the team at Arthur Murray. We were able to learn from a few different people who noticed different areas where we could improve. We are happy that we chose to take the 15 lesson package, because we were able to finalized our first dance in the first 10 sessions and then tweak and polish on the the last 5 lessons. It really was the perfect amount that we needed. They also got us excited about learning other dances and we may take up dancing as a hobby!

Aaron was great getting us ready for our first dance in under a month and a half. They listened to the first song that we picked out and helped put together the dance routine. We got so many compliments from our families and friends. The dance studio was very fun and cheerful. We had so much fun that we decided to continue with the classes after our wedding.

If I had known how much fun we would have, how much we would learn, how amazing the staff all were and how elegant we look dancing our wedding song, I would have started much earlier and paid way more. These lessons were so much fun! My fiancé and I always left laughing and in a great mood. The teachers were awesome and usually pretty in sync with each other from week to week (you sometimes have different instructors). I am so glad we did this. I do wish the price was a bit lower, or the dance would have been more extravagant. I felt like we learned a very basic step for a not so basic price.

My wife and I took a few months of lessons to prepare for our first dance at our wedding. Rachel was our teacher and she was so so great. Both my wife and I aren't the most graceful bunch, and my wife isn't the most patient with things like that. Despite all that, Rachel was able to choreograph a dance that matched our skill level and still impressed our guests. An extra shout out to her for mashing up two songs into one track for us so that we could dance to both. We had a lot of fun, and the lessons really helped alleviate our nerves so that we could concentrate on each other instead! Thanks to the studio and Rachel for your part in making our day so memorable!

These people are so great!! They go above and beyond to make sure that you not only have a great routine for your wedding dance but they make sure you have fun doing so too! Our instructor Rachel is the best!! We recommend them to anyone who wants a unique dance for your wedding!!

Renee was a phenomenal teacher who rolled with the punches of our subpar dancing skills and helped us feel confident both in our first dance and when dancing for fun at other occasions! Everybody we met was energetic and enthusiastic!

We're about halfway through our classes with Rachel (for our wedding first dance), and she's been wonderful! It's been amazing to gain confidence and see that we'll be as prepared as we can for our big day. She's thoughtful in her notes, super personable, guides us well, considers our music throughout all choreo...all the things you could ask for as a beginner! We also had a minor setback in our progress when we had to have other instructors step in from time to time to briefly cover, but they were just as lovely and helpful (just tricky to get varying instruction). All in all, while it's definitely an investment, it's SO worth it to go through Arthur Murray for your wedding dance classes. Everyone is so friendly, instructors are amazing, space feels welcoming...can't recommend it enough!

We first came to Arthur Murray to learn a choreographed dance for our first dance at our wedding. Rachel choreographed our first dance and helped us learn it. She is such an excellent instructor and we would highly recommend her. Our first dance turned out amazing and it's all thanks to her!

We found AMDS through a quick Google search and we’re both SOOO nervous before having our consultation, but after we knew 100% we were going with them. We both have ZERO skills when it comes to dancing but our instructor is AMAZING! I can’t wait to showcase our dance at the wedding! We also did some group classes and those were a blast! Such a fun way to spend a evening! Everyone we have worked with is incredible! 10/10 recommend!
