n three or four group lessons as well. Simply put, we had a great experience. Neither of us came in with any dance experience at all, and that was no problem for Ashley. Her instruction was so much more than just showing us the steps - there was a lot of specific attention to detail for my wife and I individually as we learned various moves, and more importantly, an effort to really make us feel comfrtable doing something that clearly made us kind of uncomfortable (at first). She did a great job tailoring her teaching methods to fit our personalities - for example, my wife and I are both engineers, and Ashley was quick to realize that we learned a bit faster when we focused on the count of the steps. Apart from everything said above, I think the most important thing to note about our experience is how much fun we ended up having. I'll be the first to admit that I wasn't always looking forward to our weekly dance lesson, but I came out of every session having had a blast learning some new moves. Our progression was so linear each session - we learned a ton and gained so much confidence every week. That alone turned dance lessons from a potential chore into something really enjoyable. We actually enjoyed what we were learning so much that we ended up practicing every night at home between lessons. In the end, we put on quite a performance at our wedding! We had plenty of friends and family come up to us at dinner and tell us they were totally surprised by our moves out on the dance floor. It was a total success! Ashley and the team over at Arthur Murray have a real talent and passion for their craft, and we couldn't recommend them more!

Taking these lessons was an awesome opportunity for us to spend some time together during the week, and the end result was totally worth it. If you are on the fence, I would highly recommend trying some lessons - you won't regret it!
