For over 30 years Arthur Murray Swansea Dance Center, has been working with dance students teaching ballroom, swing and all of the Latin dances for any social occasion.
Here at Arthur Murray, we specialize in wedding dances. An important highlight of any reception is a newly married couple's first dance. It is our experience that every couple has different needs, preferences and time schedules but everyone has the ability to be a good dancer with enough time. Wouldn’t it be great to have the romance of dancing for the rest of your lives together! We can put something together that is uniquely yours.
For only $39.90, our introductory wedding dance lesson includes a consultation, studio tour, and private lesson by one of our certified and trained instructors. We offer flexible hours and late night and weekend availability. We can also coordinate dances for parents and complete wedding parties.

We joined Arthur Murray of Swansea with Rick and Robin in January 2024. Our goal was to learn basic dance moves to create a polished first dance for our wedding this past April. What we came out with was so much more.
My husband has no formal dancing experience and is far from impressive on the dance floor (he wrote that not me😊). I have had some level of dancing experience over the years.
Rick and Robin create a welcoming, judgement free atmosphere in their studio and are thorough teachers. My husband came in thinking that he wouldn’t be able to catch on and was quickly surprised at how dancing can be learned and mastered with time and practice. Rick and Robin teach to the student and are patient with each dancer every step of the way.
After we joined in January, our first dance was “wedding ready” by the beginning of March. Not only did we work on our wedding dance, but we were introduced to other types of dances such as Waltz, Swing, Fox Trot, and much more.
We have had so much fun with Rick and Robin that we have decided to continue on with our lessons with Arthur Murray. It has provided us with an additional social outlet and has helped us grow even closer together as a couple.

Robin and Rick were such incredible teachers. We went from never having danced to performing an incredible wedding dance in just a few months. Our dance included several tricky steps and an amazing lift that wowed our guests and ourselves!!
Robin and Rick are patient, professional, and flexible. A mixture of group and private lessons really helped us to gain confidence and their monthly parties helped us worth through stage fright.
We’ve learned many types of dance too so we can break out some moves to nearly any songs. This is an investment that will last a lifetime. We found a hobby that we love because of them and will continue to take lessons with them!
If you’re thinking about ballroom lessons you’ve found the right place!!!

I feel like 5 stars is not enough! It was such a wonderful experience at Arthur Murray. Robin and Rick were wonderful teachers and make the lessons really enjoyable. They don't just choreograph a routine but actually teach you to dance. Our wedding dance was a highlight of our wedding and all of our guests were so impressed. I would recommend them to anybody looking for wedding dance lessons or anyone just wanting a fun date night!

Robin and Rick at Arthur Murray Swansea are fantastic! My now-husband and I took eight private dance lessons together to prepare for our first dance at our wedding. We started out uncoordinated and struggling but looked really good by the end of the lessons! They're both really good instructors. We would highly recommend them.

My wife and I had a very memorable experience attending Arthur Murray dance studio. Rick and robin are enthusiastic, supportive and cut straight to the chase on what you did wrong and what you are doing correctly. Not only did we learn our dance routine we wanted for our wedding but we gained a skill and hobby we both enjoy. Never thought I’d find myself on the dance floor but I find myself having a blast with my wife every time. Highly recommended.

OK, if you have 2 left feet like me, you need to check out Arthur Murray Dance school in Swansea, which is run by Robin & Rick.
I have never really danced, never thought I could. However my Fiance, Bobby and I decided that we would like to learn together, so we can dance at my son's upcoming wedding, and at our wedding.
I am a visual learner and need a lot of repetition. Robin is an intuitive instructor, and can sense what the student needs. She is great at breaking down the dance steps and explaining the rationale behind things. She also dances with you and your partner, so you can get the correct feel, which is incredibly helpful.
The studio, is more that just dance, we have met so many nice people and Rick and Robin go out of their way to incorporate a family like atmosphere. They go above and beyond, incorporating, Dance Parties, and other events to get us all mingling, and moving. HIGHLY recommend.

My new husband and I so happy we followed through and got dancing lessons. Weddings are so expensive and we were looking for ways to cut some costs, but it made our day so much more special knowing that our first dance was beautiful. We received so many compliments!
Robin and Rick are so friendly and fun. It didn't feel like any work to learn. My husband isn't the "let's dance' type, but agreed to do it at my prodding. He was so inspired by Rick that HE was asking ME to practice!
This was a great way for us to do something fun together. We may even take dancing lessons again once everything has settled down.

Our experience with Arthur Murray Dance Centers in Swansea, MA began as a Valentine gift for my husband two years ago. Our oldest son is getting married next year and we wanted to be ready to dance at the wedding. We’ve progressed from beginner dancers to intermediate dancers. Husband and wife team Rick and Robin have both taught us how to dance the Waltz, Foxtrot, Rumba, Swing, Cha Cha, Tango, Merengue, Samba, Salsa, Mambo, and Hustle. While we’re more proficient in some dances than others, we’ve enjoyed learning and dancing all at both private and group lessons, practice sessions and monthly dance parties. During the shutdown, Rick and Robin even made zoom dancing fun and instructional! We’ve progressed in our dances, and while we’re still learning new steps, we’re actually dancing! While our dancing is not perfect, it’s both fun and great exercise, and also very social! Rick and Robin have different teaching styles, but complement each other! To summarize, our experience at Arthur Murray Dance Centers in Swansea, MA has been nothing but positive, and I would highly recommend Rick and Robin for couples getting married, parents, and even those just interested in social dancing!💃🕺

My husband and I decided to take dancing lessons while we were wedding planning to really nail down our first dance. We took private and group lessons at Arthur Murry Dance and it became our favorite date night. We had such a blast and the instructors were amazing. We nailed our first dance and certainly wowed our guests. Thank you Robyn and Team for making our first dance one to remember!

I would like to start off by saying how amazing Rick and Robin were to work with. Our original wedding date was supposed to be May 24, 2020. Unfortunately Covid 19 had happened and we had to postpone the reception for the following year. We still decided to do a backyard wedding on our original date as it was upsetting for us and many that had to deal with postponing. Rick and Robin made sure to always keep in contact with us until the day we felt we were ready to go back. It wasn’t like a job for them they love doing what they do and you can see it in their personalities. They made every class enjoyable. Now fast forward a year later to my new wedding date June 12,2021 we had the wedding I envisioned and what made it more special was “Our Dance”. I thought originally that this day would be very nerve-racking but because they didn’t actually do choreography it was just based off following what my husband decided to do at that moment. They are wonderful to work with and I will remember those moments forever.

Between my partner and I we had four left feet before coming to Arthur Murray, but with the help of Robin and Rick and their team at Arthur Murray of Swansea our first dance was easily the most memorable part of our wedding day. Our guests were blown away with what we had put together and the video will be something we watch together forever. Arthur Murray of Swansea made learning to dance legitimately fun! We made new friends there that will last a lifetime. And we continue to take lessons now years later because of how amazing Arthur Murray of Swansea is. It's our perfect date night. Knowing we had our first dance figured out made our wedding day SO much less stressful. And we enjoyed doing it as much as our friends and family enjoyed watching it. I'd highly recommend taking lessons, as many as you can, at Arthur Murray of Swansea if you want your special day to be even more special, and if you want memories that last a lifetime. We are so thankful we did it.

We started taking lessons with Rick and Robin for our wedding back in 2017 and we still take lessons and do group sessions to this day! We love it as a fun date night activity and we have made some great friends along the way. We especially enjoy being a part of showcases and group outings. Now when we go out to weddings or other parties we usually steal the show on the dance floor! Thanks so much Rick and Robin for the great experiences we have had with you.

As a wedding shower gift, I gave my friends a gift certificate for couples dance lessons so they could put on a good show during their first dance - and it was incredible! From what they told me, the classes were fun and they enjoyed having some time together to plan this surprise dance for their guests. I saw the final result at the reception and they looked so beautiful and graceful on the dance floor! They got a standing ovation from the crowd and you could really tell they enjoyed every minute of it! I would certainly recommend anyone shopping for shower gifts consider the gift of dance!

We decided for our first dance we'd like to do something other than the traditional middle school dance. So we took a few lessons and didn't practice much but our dance was enjoyed by all of our guests. We had a very friendly and patient dance instructor

We got introduced to the studio at a bridal show I went to. I filled out the info & we received a call saying we got a free trial private & group class. We decided to try it & got hooked because of the 2 instructors we had for those lessons. We kept this a secret from everyone & it all went off perfectly! We shocked everyone!

I made Robert take lessons because I didn't want to be one of those couples who just move around in a circle. We had a hard dance considering we were told people don't usually learn this until 2-3 years into taking lessons. The instructers, we had Tiffany and Jay, were so fun to dance with we are continuing with the lessons just because. Try it and you will be stuck.

Our 1st dance was great thanks to Jay and the other instructors at this dance studio! We had a great time learning to dance and despite our nerves, we pulled off the dance perfectly! We plan to keep going for lessons just for fun, its a great date night.
