Artisan Bake Shop

e the pinterest pictures with our specific touches. Meredith even matched the shade of purple for the bridesmaids dresses with the sugar flowers. It was also nice to have different flavors for the different tiers for guests to choose. Another huge plus was the gluten free/dairy free individual cupcakes for guests based on their dietary restrictions which was soooo nice. Another stand out factor is the option for a first anniversary cake instead of freezing the top tier per tradition. Cannot recommend Artisan enough!

on we wanted -- they're ALL delicious and you can't go wrong! We ended up choosing a champagne cake with raspberry filling, and Meredith really impressed us with all her different design concepts inspired by our wedding color palette and aesthetics. The result was a cake that everyone loved -- one friend who's a huge dessert fanatic called it the best wedding cake he'd ever tasted, and we agree! Our only regret from the wedding day is not being able to eat more of it, but as a lovely final touch, Meredith gave us the option of freezing a piece or a gift card for her to make us a new piece the next time we visit town. We can't wait to have it again!

ding cake tasting box was incredible. It included a little booklet with instructions and paper to take notes on. We drove to our favorite beach and ate each flavor until we were stuffed! On our wedding day, our cake was incredibly beautiful. Meredith's sketch of it that we approved just absolutely came to life and we were in awe. It was also DELICIOUS and all our guests were SO happy with it! Meredith even made individual cupcakes for all our guests with dietary restrictions - multiple guests came up to us telling us how much they appreciated that.

il I came across Artisan Bake Shop. They made such a stunning cake and macaron tower for us plus the taste of everything was beyond amazing!!! On top of making our dream cake, they made individual cupcakes for every child that attended and anyone with allergies. Plus they included our anniversary cake which made it back safely to NC. I couldn’t recommend a more friendly, accommodating staff!

before and all the desserts were a big hit at both weddings. We had a small cutting cake and a dessert table, and everything was absolutely delicious and looked beautiful too. Meredith asked us which guests had allergies prior to the wedding and made specialized desserts that were delivered to their tables. Before the wedding we ordered tasting boxes for the cake and desserts, it was fun to try everything and pick our favorites for the wedding! We can’t wait for our anniversary cake next year!

ting a few months before the wedding was easy and we got some free leftover treats to take home. The dessert table was beautiful and guests raved anout it! At least two people said they were the best chocolate chip cookies they’ve ever had. My personal favorite was the key lime cups. My husband and I fed each other cake pops instead of cutting a cake. I loved that we could rent the display stands for a small fee so it was one less decor thing to think about, and return was easy as well.

s were beautiful and delicious and our guests are still raving about them! Thank you Meredith and Tabitha! I highly highly recommend Artisan Bake Shop for any occasion!

ng about how delicious dessert was! Meredith worked with me to create a custom dessert option that came out better than I could have hoped for and really made our wedding dessert table extra special. She was communicative through the whole process and answered all my questions. I would highly reccomend!

y delicious and we received compliments from guests for weeks after our wedding! Can’t wait for our 1 year anniversary cake.

ss. Never mind how delicious and beautiful our cake, desserts, and displays were! This bakeshop is outstanding at what they do! 100% recommend!!!

cakes, party treats and brunch items. Everything is always so fresh and absolutely delicious! We knew right away we needed to use Artisan for our wedding dessert. Meredith was wonderful to work with start to finish. I was able to share images of inspiration and details about our day. We sampled the most delicious cake combinations and although it was a difficult decision, we picked our favorite combo, as well as Key Lime mini pies, classic whoopie pies and cider donuts (fall wedding). I also love and appreciate a woman run business, as well as a organized business owner. Meredith is so organized! Every detail is clearly laid out for you. She and Tabitha even set everything up that day of and it was perfect! Our guests loved it and we love it! Thank you for making our wedding day so special. We cannot wait for our mini anniversary cake next year!

. During our tasting and consultation, she was warm and welcoming, and really listened to what we were looking for to try to perfectly match our vision. She even had an elegant silver plateau stand that was exactly what I had been looking for! Another thing I loved about working with Meredith was that she was very conscious of our guest’s’ dietary restrictions. She was thoughtful enough to offer to make individual cupcakes for anyone who couldn’t eat our other desserts. To fit our rustic-elegant theme, we chose a lemon cake with berry jam filling that made even this chocolate-lover’s mouth water! My husband, who prefers cookies to cake, couldn’t stop talking about it either! We are looking forward to having it again on our anniversary and making it a yearly tradition!

and affordable as well! The tasting was intimate and fun! So much amazing flavors to choose from. There was even a gluten free slice of cake made for a family member with celiac which was so great and helped everyone at the wedding feel included and gave everyone the perfect sugar high for the dance floor!!

the details of the cake were so beautiful. It tasted even more amazing! For our wedding we did a 2 tier cake, kitchen cake & multiple cupcakes options. Everything was to die for! The cake absolutely exceeded my expectations. Meredith & her team brought my vision to life & it was beautiful beyond words. I can’t thank them enough for helping to make our day so perfect. We can’t wait to work with them again!! 🤍🤍

ade it easy to figure out. You'll have a sugar high after your tasting. That was lots of fun too!

incredible to work with!

le to sketch it on paper and make it a reality. Our three-tier wedding cake and cupcakes were absolutely beautiful, and delicious too! She even accommodated our last minute request for baklava, which was also amazing. We can't wait for our next opportunity to order a cake from Meredith!

ith is so detail oriented from the first time you meet her to go for your tasting. She spent so much time with us talking about our vision and literally sitting there sketching out our dream cake as we did our tasting. She came up with the most amazing design that I could have ever imagined. The flavors of her cakes and fillings are out of this world and it makes it so hard to choose, but you can’t go wrong with anything from her. We received so many compliments are our wedding on how this was the best wedding cake anyone has ever had. We also had cupcakes from Meredith at my bridal shower and got many of the same compliments there! I highly highly highly recommend going with Meredith for your wedding cake. It will be the easiest decision, and one of the best decisions, that you make. You will have peace of mind knowing she has everything handled from a coordination and detail perspective and you will have one of the most amazing cakes you’ve ever had.

to get a dessert for a special occasion because we know that Artisan will always exceed our expectations. We had the chocolate cake with marshmallow filling and a buttercream frosting for one option, and a vanilla cake with strawberry puree filling and buttercream frosting as a second option and they were just incredible. If you're trying to decide if you should go with Artisan for your wedding cake, wedding dessert, or any dessert in general, DO IT! You won't be disappointed.

uten free options but Artisan Bake Shop was unbelievably accommodating from the very beginning. We had the absolute best experience tasting with Meredith and I couldn't believe how many gluten free options you made for me and how amazing all of the flavors were (my family raved about the gluten-filled flavors too). Meredith is so warm and welcoming and immediately understood our vision for the day. She made it easy to design our cake and select our flavors and really listened to all of our ideas and needs. For our wedding the desserts came out amazing (in both taste and look) and our guests raved about them. Artisan Bake Shop was so accommodating with all of our special dietary needs (especially my own!) and our gluten and dairy free guests were so thrilled that they got their own special treats. Our cutting cake was stunning and we literally brought it with us on our minimoon to keep enjoying it all week. We already can't wait to come back for our anniversary cake next year and hopefully find many more opportunities to involve these treats in our future celebrations!

our idea and completely rocked it! She threw a unique twist on it and brought it to life. We had a cookie cake which consisted of layers of chocolate chip cookie, whipped cream, and cookie dough cream which we were still able to cut and enjoy. Aside from that she was able to set up a beautiful display with flowers and tree trunk stands with 5 different flavors of cookies and guests were able to go up to our buffet and grab whichever cookie they desired. I will highly recommend Meredith to any couple that is getting married within her area, She was just absolutely amazing from beginning to end she was so thorough and accommodating during our meeting. She even drew us up distinct color coordinated diagrams so we were able to visualize our design before the big day. We loved her and had 0 stress or issues!!

weets, especially cake, so I was thinking if he didn't really like anything at our tasting, maybe we'd go with another dessert option. But wow! We were both blown away with the number of cake, frosting, and filling flavors available. The amount provided at the tasting was so generous (and they didn't mind my sister attending too), and it was so difficult to choose a favorite, even for my husband. We ended up ordering three cakes, all with different flavors, and our guests loved them! Not only were the cakes beautiful (we went with the "semi-naked" cake style), but even the non-dairy chocolate that we ordered was just as delicious as the normal chocolate flavor we tried at our tasting. We can't wait for our 1st year anniversary to have more cake, but we'll have to make the tough decision on which flavor to order! We highly recommend Artisan Bake Shop (even my not-usually-cake-loving husband)!

ust got to enjoy the amazing sweets!!

ooked and my boyfriend and said we're definitely getting a cake from here for our wedding. Fast forward 9 months and we were at our own cake tasting with Meredith. I didnt try 1 flavor of cake, filling, or frosting I didnt like. She sketches a bunch of pictures for you to choose from and is just so organized she puts your mind at ease. We ended up picking marble cake with an almond filling which was amazing but I ended up chickening out in case of nut allergies at the wedding (I didnt want ER trips!) we didnt even try the oreo filling at the tasting but I has her switch it to that because I knew there was no way it wouldnt be delicious and all my guests raved about it. Initially, too, we were supposed to have 5 layers but I had to cut back to 4 cause 5 was just too much cake for my guest count and the cake was still MASSIVE and beautiful. Thank you Meredith!

ve! Artisans desserts are all incredible. For the wedding we opted for assorted cupcakes and mousse shots. The chocolate and lemon mousse shots are both to die for. Meredith was so easy to work with, very responsive to emails and calls, knowledgeable about food allergies (we had nut allergies and gluten free guests), and her desserts are out of this world delicious. Thank you for everything Meredith and artisan bake shop!!!!

ith hands down makes the best gluten free baked goods I have ever had. Our guests couldn't tell the difference between the GF and regular cupcakes. From the time we made the appt for a cake testing till the day of the wedding, Meredith was always available for recommendations or any stupid question we had. The hardest part of our cake testing was deciding what flavor cupcakes to have at the wedding. We ended up having five different flavors and they were all a hit (Apply Spice cake with caramel filling and vanilla buttercream was my fav!!!!!!). Since our cake testing over a year ago, Artisan is our go to for baked good. They've done every birthday cake, cupcakes for get togethers, and the desserts for our rehearsal dinner (apple and blueberry crisp... to die for!!!). Don't hesitate, give Artisan a call for a cake testing. They will NOT disappoint!!!!

e. It was nearly impossible to narrow it down to four flavors during the tasting, since everything was exquisite. The day of the wedding, everything looked as I had envisioned it. Our guests wouldn’t stop talking about how delicious everything was. Thank you so much!

uten free chocolate mousse) were DELICIOUS. Everyone complimented us on our desserts and how pretty everything looked!

th Artisan Bake Shop as soon as we began our tasting. The tasting was amazing – everything was delicious and presented beautifully. Meredith was extremely patient and accommodating and helped us to put together a wide selection of deserts; she even drew us different options for a custom-designed slicing cake. She is extremely organized and had tons of pictures for us to look at; she was also easy to contact if any questions came up. The day of our wedding Meredith came to our venue and personally set up the desert bar to make sure it looked just the way we had envisioned. It looked amazing and everything was delicious – everyone was saying how wonderful it was. We can’t wait to use our gift card Meredith gave us for our 1-year anniversary. I highly recommend booking Artisan Bake Shop for your wedding!

nk you for the beautiful wedding cakes that tasted and looked amazing. We will continue to use Artisan Bakeshop as our cake bakery in the future.

sional and so friendly. During the cake tasting, we sat with her and told her our vision and looked through samples. She sat there and hand drew so many designs for us, I was SO impressed. After picking one of her designs, I was so excited to see it play out in real life. The cake looked beautiful and most importantly, it tasted delicious! We picked 2 flavors and our guests kept coming up to us asking what each was and saying how they loved them both. I am so happy we picked Meredith and the Artisan Bake Shop team. My husband and I are so excited to go back for our anniversary.

e calls. They even delivered the cake to the reception for us at an affordable price.

wedding on the Cape, and our guests kept on coming back for more cake pops and cookies! People were raving about the deliciousness of it all. If you are looking for an awesome wedding cake or dessert stand, look no further than Artisan Bake Shop!

t to use them again for upcoming events!

i pies and pudding shooters with a two-tiered blueberry citrus wedding cake as the centerpiece—everything was beyond amazing. In addition to the desserts being both delicious and beautiful, and Meredith being so easy to work with, there were a few little details that made the experience all the more special. We had several gluten free people at the wedding and Meredith requested their names and table numbers in advance so she could put together personal boxes for each of them with items from the table that were gluten free, in some cases even altering the recipe slightly if it was an individual shooter. She also made up a box of desserts for my husband and I to take home at the end of the night (and devour the next day) and for the first anniversary she provides a gift card to use for a new cake in lieu of needing to freeze yours for a year. Thank you so much, Meredith and team! I only wish we lived closer so we could have your delicious treats more often.

some previous designs for inspiration and then drew exactly what we wanted by taking what we liked from those and incorporating our own ideas! The buttercream frosting wasn't grainy and was super creamy! Each cupcake was so different (chocolate with raspberry filling, lemon with lemon curd and chocolate with peanut butter)! We were thrilled when we saw our very own cake and even more so when we got to eat it! Our guests kept commenting on how delicious everything was. We trusted Meredith as soon as we met her and we're so happy we did! We can't imagine working with anyone else. We highly recommend the team at Artisan Bake Shop!

commend to other couples!

about how delicious it was. Thank you!

don't live nearby, and they were flexible about getting us a tasting box to go so that we could taste everything on our own schedule, despite the fact that we could only get to the bakery on a day that they happened to be out of town. They gave great guidance on how much of everything we needed, how many different things would be too much, and where to buy the candy that we wanted to add to our table. The displays that they provided for our tables were perfect for our decor (classic and a bit rustic as well), and they arrived and set everything up perfectly, complete with signage. And of course, everything was DELICIOUS. They offer such a great variety and so many of our favorite things. We opted to not have a wedding cake but nobody missed it - everyone was thrilled with the whoopie pies, cookies, cupcakes, cake pops, brownies, and single serve strawberry shortcakes and key lime pies! We also had our candy shipped directly to them and they handled everything which made it so easy for us. I will definitely be buying more baked goods from them even though the wedding's over!

d designed our cake, with only minor changes later on, and selected our flavors. Later, when I called to confirm our order about a month out, Meredith prompted me for information on our dietary-challenged guests, of which we had many! Not to worry, she jumped right in and made selections for each of them that they were able to enjoy. Day of, the cake arrived in beautiful condition, sat on it's table all evening exceeding our hopes for presentation, and when it was finally time to eat, it tasted fantastic! We had four tiers and opted to do 2 different flavors (awesome choice, by the way!) My husband and I are eagerly awaiting our anniversary when we can go back and use our certificate!

d working with Meredith! My husband, maid of honor and I went to Artisan Bake shop in the early spring for a cake tasting and we had the best time! I had no idea what I was looking for in a cake but Meredith let us take as much time as we needed to taste everything, gave suggestions on combinations for cake and filling, and drew us several sketches. About two weeks before the wedding it dawned on me that I had a guest with a gluten allergy- I was worried it was too late to come up with anything at that point but Meredith emailed me back almost right away and said not to worry - they would provide a gluten free alternative at no extra charge. For a bride doing 100 things two weeks before their wedding - I couldn't have been more grateful and relieved! My husband and I were amazed when last week we pulled out our contract and compared it to the picture of our actual cake. It was spot on! To the texture of the tiers to all of the little details on the actual cake. Meredith and her team are so talented - we can't wait to come back for special occasions in the future. Thank you Artisan Bake Shop! The Brazers

out exactly what we were looking for and gave us a lot of advice on what would look best. We were very happy with the sketch she drew up right away. She also helped me pick out the perfect cake topper for our nautical wedding! We were blown away by how beautiful the cake turned out, it was perfect!! More than that, we got SO MANY comments on how delicious the cake was. Everybody loved it (we had two flavors and most people tried both and loved them both!) My husband and I didn't get to eat much of it (I only had the little bit that didn't get smushed on my face during the cake cutting ;) ! ) However, we are having our top tier made fresh on our one year anniversary, and we are super excited to eat more than our share. Thank you again Meredith and the team there, you guys are awesome!!! -Alycia and Mitchell Bisson

s, and come up with a beautiful cake and cupcakes (We didn’t even know we wanted cupcakes!) . She incorporated all the features I liked in a cake, and came up with pages of designs, that we were able to choose from. She made it extremely easy, fun, and truly shows her incredible talents. The cake was the best cake I have ever had, and we were able to choose lots of fun flavors for the cupcakes. I was beyond impressed with her artistic and baking talents, as well as her beautiful personality.

w professional Meredith was and the different varieties and flavors of cakes and filling we were able to taste. Meredith designed our cake right on the spot and then when I wanted to add a few changes to it after we booked she was happy to accommodate them and give me a few additional options. Our cake tasted and looked amazing! It was everything we imagined! Our guests are still raving about how delicious it was! I will definitely be ordering more cakes from artisan bake shop in the future!!
