e decision to use Kristen from Artistic Soup. Kristen's personality is very conscientious and sweet. Kristen was very open to all of our ideas and it was apparent she wanted to do all she could to see to it that we were completely satisfied with her work. During the ceremony, Kristen captured so many candid moments, yet at the same time was barely noticeable. We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome! We would highly recommend Artistic Soup & Kristen ~ they were incredible!

he was very helpful in going over everything so that it all ran smoothly. We have a large family and she responded well to all the requests of pictures I wanted to get done in a short amount of time, and on the day of we were able to fit everything in. We just got our pictures in the mail and they all turned out better than I could have expected. Very creative and great quality! I first met Angela when she did my senior pictures a few years before. So when we got engaged, Angela was the first person that came to mind and I knew I didn't want any one else. Both times were full of great pictures. So just know that if you have Angela take pictures for your occasion, you won't want another photographer again.

inute to schedule my bridal portraits, but she was very flexible and she captured images that were absolutely stunning. In one hour she got over 250 pictures, and most of them were "keepers." For the wedding day, both Angela and Mandy were my photographers. Not only were they super friendly and organized, but they were patient and easily navigated through the dozens of formal pictures I'd requested. In total, I think they captured 1650 images from the day. I was able to see all the images within a week of the wedding day, and they are all just breathtaking. Angela has a great eye for detail and got pictures of the church and reception venue that I hadn't even thought of! I am so happy that I choose them as my photographers and will definitely be using them again for any future portrait needs. If you haven't already, book with Artistic Soup, you wont be disappointed!

ght that completed our business with Artistic Soup. Fast forward 3 years, our house was affected by the Good Friday tornado. Unfortunately, our wedding album was damaged by water that got into our living room. When we re-contacted Angela to try and replace it, she responded immediately. Not only did she still have a DVD archived of all of the photos that were taken, she was willing to help us re-design the album to modernize it. I was extremely pleased with how quickly she worked with us, not to mention that she still remembering photographing our wedding! I would highly recommend Artistic Soup, not only for the excellent photography and professionalism, but also because of the great customer service - even years after the event.

Artistic Soup has the nuts and bolts of the event down so that you never have to worry if things are being covered. They are in constant contact, but not overbearing. And that continues right through the wedding, where they understand that you want lots of photos but you don't want to feel hounded. They are flexible enough to take direction as well as offer some good direction if you're just not certain. We all know how easy it is to become overwhelmed during these things, and they helped to alleviate a lot of the stress so we could enjoy the day. I would recommend them again and again.

ht light and shadows. In the photos where there was an attempt to feature my dress it was hung up on a candelabra. I was disappointed in the photographers ability to organize the photographs with multiple people. She did not utilize the second photographer to help with people placement or to make sure the details were attended to, i.e. necklace straight, train of gown organized, flower placement, where to look, etc. She was very kind and personable but I felt she lacked the presence to organize and place the people within the photograph. We were very surprised at the number of pictures of inanimate objects compared to the number of those that included people. We were disappointed that no pictures were taken during the cocktail hour and a very small number of pictures were taken of the actual people at the reception. Since my husband is an amateur photographer we requested the RAW images so that we could manipulate and remove some of the distracting elements of the photographs as well as enlarge some of the group shots to a larger photograph without losing photo clarity. The photographer refused this request. We were also disappointed with the overall number of pictures that were taken for the number of hours that we hired her for. Overall impression: Angela is nice, very personable and seemed eager to please. There were many good pictures, a handful of special ones but overall the majority of people oriented/formal pictures were disappointing.

y scared me as she got a large package that was over $4000! Angela was very understanding, answered all of my questions, and was not pushy in the least. What struck me about her was that she actually listened to what I wanted. I met with other photographers that basically wanted me to do what THEY envisioned (what they do for everyother wedding!). One even went as far to tell me I needed to move the time of my wedding! Angela showed me some of her work from recent weddings, told me she could work with my time constraints, and really put my mind at ease. She did our engagement session and was very flexible with the time. Pictures were posted very quicky, and they were great. Any questions I had were answered very quickly whether it was by email or phone. The day of the wedding she had Christina helping her, and both were great! I had a list of "must have" photos, and they checked them off the list as they got each one. The were very unintrusive during the wedding, and got some awesome shots! After all formal shots were taken, Christina went to the reception hall to take photos before guests started arriving, and Angela took some great pictures of us in downtown Kirkwood. They tag-teamed the event, and they didn't miss a thing! It was great!

our ceremony, respectful of our time constraints, and prepared with questions for me that I wouldn't have known to ask (about specific shots, timing, etc.). Downsides: our pictures were decent but not amazing. Some of the shots were really fantastic, exactly what I was envisioning. Many were just so-so or didn't turn out at all how I'd hoped. We were a bit pressed for time in our photos, so we didn't get a lot of great ones with just my bridesmaids and I (some with just the 6 of us did not turn out as well as I'd hoped) or more spontaneous shots. Even some of our "fun" shots ended up looking a bit posed, which was a disappointment. I think I would have been better off to tell the photographer specifically what I wanted by showing her other photos that I liked a lot, but I figured she was the photographer and I should let her do her thing for the most part. Don't get me wrong, I'm pleased with the photos and I'm sure the album (when we make it) will be lovely.

wedding party really liked her fun ideas for poses and it was a breeze getting everything in I wanted with all my quirky details and such of the big day. She was great at communicating what I was wanting, did not miss any details, and was fantastic to work with! I would definitely recommend them in the future to anyone who wants a great and flawless experience with their pictures!

rian (day of photographer) was great and got all the shots I hoped for and then some! My husband got tired of all the "Oh my god, did you see this shot? Look at this one!" exclamations the next day because I loved them all so much!! Christina (photobooth photographer) did fantastic with getting the fun shots with the open air photobooth- even when our little flower girl and her friend basically took it over, haha! Everyone was just so wonderful to work with and such great quality of work (and so quickly processed- ready the next morning) that I would choose them again in a heartbeat!

she satisfied any last-minute photo requests. She also brought along an assistant, Christina, for the wedding day, and together, they were able to make sure that no special moments were missed. When it got to wedding day, I was pretty much done with controlling and planning everything, so I let Angela take charge of the photography. This allowed Angela’s wealth of experience to really shine, as we got so many beautiful pictures of the wedding party and of my husband and me. She really knows how to balance the number of group pictures with number of pictures of the couple, and she has so many ideas for cute poses and can spot a great, unplanned photography setting. My husband and I also got the digital images within a few weeks of the wedding, and it was clear that they had been professionally edited. For example, we had photos taken down by the Arch, and even though there were many other people at the Arch that day, in our photos, it looks like we had the place all to ourselves. We also appreciate that we have the print release for our photos, as that was one of our essential criteria when choosing a photographer, and that the photography prices were more reasonable than many of the other studios we looked at. My husband and I are thrilled with how our pictures turned out, and we would recommend Angela to anyone looking for a photographer!!! We hope to hire her again in the future!

ess than 4 weeks from the wedding, we had our album and photos with a copyright release. I would recommend them, not only for price, but quality and ease of use to anyone. Another wonderful feature was the album was separate from the photos and copyright. This allowed my husband and I to spread cost out slightly and not pay for the album until after the wedding. Fabulous Job!

d early and captured EVERY detail. Angela and Kristina were very professional as well as personable. They blended well with my family and friends and their presence did not interfere with our day. Angela was always quick to respond to my many e-mails no matter what time it was--NO, REALLY!! My husband and I were VERY happy with their work and their turn around time. It is truly the most amazing day of your life, and in the end your pictures are what you have left. Our pictures definitely tell a story of how amazing that day was for my husband and I. The pictures are more beautiful than I could have ever imagined and I had such a great time working with Artistic Soup!

They gave us creative poses to try and took a lot of pictures we didn't even know they took (but were glad they did). It was so hard to chose which ones we liked the best. The lighting, the poses, the angles were all beautiful and unique. An amazing company with no bad remarks to be said.

wonderful things about them. Gara, who was our lead photographer the day of our wedding, went above and beyond to get all the shots we wanted, plus several unique and artistic shots of her own. We couldn't be more pleased!!!! She worked hard to make sure she got great photos -- she was on the ground, running in front of us, etc, etc. She has a true passion for what she does and she captured our day perfectly!! An added bonus - her sweet and bubbly personality made her so much fun to work with!! So, not only is she the best photographer I know, she's also one of the sweetest people I've ever met and she cares about her clients. When you work with Gara, you're getting the whole package. And of course, our photos are FABULOUS!!! It's been four months and I can't stop looking at them! Artistic Soup is also very, very reasonably price, and I love that we have copyright to ALL the images Gara took, not just the ones we chose for our album. I can't wait to the next big event we need photographed in our family -- we'll be using their services again and I would recommend Gara and Angela to any bride out there! r did not make the selections for us). We elected to buy the CD with all the photos instead of choosing prints - and this option was more affordable than other vendors. I love having access to all the photos with copyright. Overall service was good. Communication was quick. We were only unhappy with the quality of some of the photos - unfortunately they were all the photos taken with the groom's parents - it was a very bright day and the photos look very overexposed. When we asked for them to be retouched, I felt like it was an issue, and the retouched versions ended up being unusable anyway. I felt this detail could have been handled better, but overall we were very pleased. It was expensive, but still significantly less than many others charged.
