Even though I was a very indecisive bride she had patience with me, she was able to envision our wedding the same as I was, and she was able to put it into action with some very creative ideas that I would have never thought of! With her emails and phone calls, she was always checking in to make sure I was doing what was needed, she made me feel as though I was her only bride, with her full attention and that I had hired her for more than just Day of Coordination. Had I known what I know now, I would have hired Julie earlier in the wedding planning process and for her full service! (And my now husband totally agrees!) Having a Day of Coordinator was such a relief – being able to completely trust Julie and knowing she wouldn't let a single wrong thing happen the day of the wedding, I didn’t have anything to worry about! And for that I couldn't be more appreciative of her and her staff! Julie is definitely the best at what she does and our special day wouldn't have been so memorable without her!

I myself am an event planner so I knew I didn't want to worry about all the day-of details but I was terrified that I wasn't going to be able to communicate my vision to make it a reality. We are also from out of town so we had to rely on emailing and phone calls, limited face-to-face meetings, when it came to communicating exactly what we wanted. Julie and her staff took our words and ideas and made them even better than we could have ever imagined! My mom was also the coordinator for my sister's previous wedding and I knew what a headache and hassle it was and all the moments she missed worrying about setting things up, I didn't want her to feel that way on my day. She certainly did not and I know her & my dad enjoyed multiple dances thanks to Julie's amazing coordination! We got married at the Hermitage Museum & Gardens in Norfolk which is already a spectacular venue, we had so many small personal details to our event that I wanted to make sure went perfectly. My mom and I were very DIY and we were able to pass off all of our tiny details to Julie and she set everything up exactly how we wanted. It was great to do that hand off 2 weeks before the wedding so I could focus on being the bride and enjoying family in town. It has been almost 3 weeks since our wedding and our guests are still talking about how amazing it was and how everyone was PERFECT! My groom was also extremely pleased with Julie and her amazing staff. We would recommend her to anyone and everyone.

We were able to pull a last minute tent but the entire evening had to be reworked as far as the layout and flow of the night. Julie took care of everything and did it with a smile on her face. She brought two assistants who also worked their tails off and I will forever be grateful for all three of them saving my butt on my wedding day.

She did a great job of keeping the bride up-to-date on what was going on as planning got more and more detailed. Julie asked a lot of questions to make sure she had a clear understanding of what we were looking for and then she worked to make all those ideas into one cohesive theme. I especially appreciated her vendor recommendations and that she usually gave me at least three choices so that I could really find the ones who best fit our personalities. Some of the vendors I ended up choosing were well known in our area and I might have found them on my own but there were several that I would never have found and they turned out to be absolutely top notch people--real hidden gems that I hope soon get all the accolades they deserve! I really had no idea about all the things that a wedding coordinator will do! Julie made the planning so easy. It was so great to be able to send her copies of all my vendor contracts and have another pair of eyes to review all the details and catch any discrepancies that I might have missed. Her attention to detail prevented many errors, including the planned delivery of the groom's cake to the rehearsal dinner (instead of the reception, which is where it was really supposed to be!). It was so helpful to have her at the vendor meetings and multiple walk throughs at the venue. Julie really worked hard to make sure everyone was on the same page and that on the event day things would run as smoothly as possible. I feel like we really benefitted from Julie's prior relationships with a lot of the vendors. She knew exactly what to expect from them and that made planning the day go more smoothly. I also appreciated that she knew the venue so well and knew exactly what they would and wouldn't allow. It was especially great to have Julie there for Tara's bridal portrait appointment! She really styled that whole event and it would not have been the same without her! Her ideas for accessories and jewelry were fabulous and really allowed Tara to have several different "looks" for her pictures. Her suggestion for having a makeup artist/hair stylist onsite really paid off. Without Julie, it would have been a completely different experience. Julie was key in providing ideas for so many different aspects of the wedding! Both the bride and I follow her blog and love that she is on top of all of the new wedding trends. In particular, her blog was directly responsible for our selection of bridesmaid dresses and the amazing brooch bouquet. Neither of us had ever seen or heard of brooch bouquets but once we saw a picture of one on the blog it was love at first sight and then it really became one of the themes of the whole wedding. We were able to include brooches from my late sister's jewelry collection on the beautiful wedding cake and the florists added some jewelry bling to the arrangements, all at Julie's suggestion. Her attention to detail became apparent as soon as the guests walked into the ceremony site and all the elements came together to present the themes of the wedding--romance and vintage elegance. She maintained a binder specific to us with our contracts, timeline, room diagram, seating chart, etc. We even met the weekof the wedding to do a mock set up, which she took pictured to capture the perfect table scape and decor I wanted. I simply loved how she wanted everything to be beyond perfect for us on our day! The whole day was seamless. If anything went wrong I certainly don't know about it. She is definately on her game and can give David Tutera a run for his money any day!
