She finished exactly on time and I was able to get to my wedding early, which is impressive with the large party I had. I also have very thick and relatively long hair, but she is very experienced and had no issues making it look beautiful in the limited time we had. From the hair & makeup trial through the wedding day, she made the whole process stress-free and lovely. My bridesmaids and mom raved about their hair and makeup, and her! She was exceptionally communicative, on-time, fun, and just an all around pleasure to be around. She also took the time to take incredible pictures of my before and after looks and my bridal party and family getting ready in our suite, including posting an amazing reel of our getting ready time, and I'm so grateful to have these shots before we receive our official wedding photos! For my wedding, she did a phenomenal job on my hair and make up as well as my bridesmaids my mother-in-law and my mom. I would say she shines at creating a glamorous look, but even my bridesmaids whom weren't really used to wearing makeup, she captured their beauty amazingly! Like many other brides recently, we were engaged for nearly three years and made three separate wedding plans with two postponements due to COVID. Finding new vendors was no easy feat when we had to move our wedding from Vermont to DC, and I am so glad we chose Asal to work with. Throughout the process, Asal was professional and listened to each person's preferences. I would hire her again in a heartbeat, and can say for certain that if you choose Asal as your vendor you will be blown away.

She has experience working with all types of people and skin tones and we would be able to perfect my look at the trial. Asal was super responsive and would always get back to any questions or comments I had within a timely manner. My trial was done in time for my bridal shower, and even though I wasn’t quite sure about some parts, Asal knew what would look good and encouraged me to give it some time to sink in so I’d have a better gauge about how I felt about it (I generally don’t wear too much makeup on a day to day basis). She made me look and feel beautiful without making it look like I was wearing a ton of makeup. I was getting compliments all day on my hair and makeup. I tried an updo that morning and it did not budge all day until I took it out in the evening. Skip forward to the wedding day. In addition to me, Asal did hair and makeup for my mother and best friend. She listened to what they had in mind and brought out their natural beauty. Neither my mom nor my best friend wear a lot of makeup and Asal did a great job doing natural looks for them. I had a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony in the morning, for which she gave me an updo. I wore a headdress and so she planned my hair around being able to work with that, no problem. As for makeup, I had an unfortunate accident the day before the wedding that resulted in some mild bruising on my face that started to appear the day of. Asal was not fazed at all and made it disappear, like magic, with it still feeling seamless with the rest of my makeup. No one could have guessed anything was out of the ordinary. She stayed the extra time for me to have a change in hairstyle (updo to half down) and do a makeup touch up. I had brought a hair accessory that she incorporated beautifully. My makeup and hair were flawless all day (aside from some tears welling in my eyes that Asal took care of during the touch up). I could not have asked for a better person for the job. I am so glad I found Asal and am so happy with how everything turned out. I will be going to her for any of my future makeup/hair needs. I cannot recommend her more highly! Thank you so much Asal!

cause they are all so picky! I went with airbrush makeup and we had a slight problem with it not drying on my nose properly. Asal was able to quickly redo the makeup on my nose without the airbrush finish and still blend it perfectly with the rest of my face that was airbrushed which was a huge relief. My hair also stayed perfectly curled all day and night which never happens! I would highly recommend Asal for hair and makeup for your wedding day. She is very professional and has a real talent for hair and makeup.

I absolutely loved my wedding makeup and hair, and all of our hair and makeup stayed perfectly intact for 15 hours or more. Asal also has a really good eye and instinct for what would look good with your dress and the general look you're going for, even if you're unsure of exactly what you want, which was enormously helpful to all of us. She was able to accommodate my trial on a late afternoon, listened to what I wanted and after the trial I booked her on the spot. I will say that I was very picky with my hair and makeup and prior to finding her I went to a few trials and none of them turned out the way I was envisioning. Finding the makeup/hair artist was the most difficult thing for me in the wedding planning process and I was so thankful when I met Asal. Everyone in my wedding party loved their hair and makeup. I couldn’t have made a better choice by selecting her.
