One of my best decisions was to hire Asal Studios for my wedding. She made our special day even more special with amazing and classy bridal make-up and hair. She has a wonderful personality and we had a fun time for a few hours together. Highly recommended!

Asal is a truly amazing hairdresser to work with for weddings. She is very professional and also just a very nice person. She made me, the bride, and all my bridesmaids look spectacular on my wedding day! I had 7 bridesmaids, but it was no issue for her to work with a large group. She finished exactly on time and I was able to get to my wedding early, which is impressive with the large party I had. I also have very thick and relatively long hair, but she is very experienced and had no issues making it look beautiful in the limited time we had. She is also very prompt at responding to messages and very accommodating of any requests. Lastly, her prices are very reasonable for the quality of service that you are getting. You will definitely not be disappointed if you choose Asal for your special event!

Asal was amazing from beginning to end. During my trial she was extremely knowledgeable and was able to create a full hair and makeup look for me from just a few example photos. She spent time above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with my look for the wedding day. I felt glamorous without feeling like I had put on a pound of makeup. On the days leading up to the wedding she was communicative, helpful and flexible with shifts in the timeline. On the wedding day, her assistant and her were punctual and professional. My final look was a refined flawless version of the trial day. She really went the extra mile to help everyone of the ladies in my bridal party feel and look their best. I will 100% be recommending her to all my friends in the DMV area!

Words cannot describe how happy I was with Asal’s services for all events of my wedding!! She first did my hair and makeup for my engagement photos, as I am very picky and wanted to see how she did. She blew me away with the airbrush makeup, and was able to easily work with my clip in extensions. For my wedding, she did a phenomenal job on my hair and make up as well as my bridesmaids my mother-in-law and my mom. My sister, who has never liked her make up done professionally, raved and raved about how Asal is the only one who could make her feel beautiful. Asal is punctual, professional and extremely courteous of what you ask of her. Her studio is clean and nice and she is also so much fun to chat with! I will be using Asal’s services for all future events and photo shoots I have coming up. She even recommended a lash formula to help my eyelashes grow in preparation for the big day. Asal is simply the best! I worked with Asal for my engagement shoot and my wedding day for both hair and make up and I truly love her. She worked with my large bridal party and was so accommodating to everyone. She truly went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt beautiful (from my 16 year old sister, to my 80 year old grandmother). All of my friends and family were raving about her for weeks and weeks after the wedding! Asal was so wonderful to work with and had my bride tribe and myself ALL feeling like princesses on my wedding day. She has a tremendous amount of experience and listens to all of your requests, concerns, and thoroughly answered all of our questions. I would say she shines at creating a glamorous look, but even my bridesmaids whom weren't really used to wearing makeup, she captured their beauty amazingly! The pictures look wonderful and my makeup lasted all night and late into the night! My hair also looked fantastic and held in even a July day and me dancing up a storm into the evening. What an amazing experience we had with Asal. She did an incredible job with all makeup and hair for me, my mom, and my mother-in-law. I have never heard my mom say that she felt gorgeous, but even two weeks after our wedding, she can't stop raving about how the makeup and hair made her feel. And I am still getting compliments about how great she was to work with from everyone I've spoken with. Like many other brides recently, we were engaged for nearly three years and made three separate wedding plans with two postponements due to COVID. Finding new vendors was no easy feat when we had to move our wedding from Vermont to DC, and I am so glad we chose Asal to work with. Throughout the process, Asal was professional and listened to each person's preferences. I would hire her again in a heartbeat, and can say for certain that if you choose Asal as your vendor you will be blown away.

Asal was great from the very beginning. I appreciated her taking the time for the consultation to find out what I was looking for. I shared with her previous bad experiences I’d had with make up artists not knowing how to deal with my skin tone and she assured me we would be able avoid this. She has experience working with all types of people and skin tones and we would be able to perfect my look at the trial. Asal was super responsive and would always get back to any questions or comments I had within a timely manner. My trial was done in time for my bridal shower, and even though I wasn’t quite sure about some parts, Asal knew what would look good and encouraged me to give it some time to sink in so I’d have a better gauge about how I felt about it (I generally don’t wear too much makeup on a day to day basis). She made me look and feel beautiful without making it look like I was wearing a ton of makeup. I was getting compliments all day on my hair and makeup. I tried an updo that morning and it did not budge all day until I took it out in the evening. Skip forward to the wedding day. In addition to me, Asal did hair and makeup for my mother and best friend. She listened to what they had in mind and brought out their natural beauty. Neither my mom nor my best friend wear a lot of makeup and Asal did a great job doing natural looks for them. I had a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony in the morning, for which she gave me an updo. I wore a headdress and so she planned my hair around being able to work with that, no problem. As for makeup, I had an unfortunate accident the day before the wedding that resulted in some mild bruising on my face that started to appear the day of. Asal was not fazed at all and made it disappear, like magic, with it still feeling seamless with the rest of my makeup. No one could have guessed anything was out of the ordinary. She stayed the extra time for me to have a change in hairstyle (updo to half down) and do a makeup touch up. I had brought a hair accessory that she incorporated beautifully. My makeup and hair were flawless all day (aside from some tears welling in my eyes that Asal took care of during the touch up). I could not have asked for a better person for the job. I am so glad I found Asal and am so happy with how everything turned out. I will be going to her for any of my future makeup/hair needs. I cannot recommend her more highly! Thank you so much Asal!

Asal was wonderful to work with. She did my hair and makeup as the bride, 6 bridesmaids, and my mother for my wedding day. Everyone loved their hair and makeup which was amazing because they are all so picky! I went with airbrush makeup and we had a slight problem with it not drying on my nose properly. Asal was able to quickly redo the makeup on my nose without the airbrush finish and still blend it perfectly with the rest of my face that was airbrushed which was a huge relief. My hair also stayed perfectly curled all day and night which never happens! I would highly recommend Asal for hair and makeup for your wedding day. She is very professional and has a real talent for hair and makeup.

Asal did an outstanding job with my wedding hair and makeup. I had to make some changes to the arrangements due to COVID and reschedule the reception to December, but still went forward with the wedding ceremony in May as originally planned. Asal was very flexible with all the changes. She is easy to work with, and was very patient with all my requests. The airbrush makeup turned out absolutely flawless and lasted all day. I looked through a lot of makeup artists for my wedding and loved Asal's style so much more than anyone else I saw. My bridal party all wanted pretty different looks, and Asal and her team gave everyone exactly what they wanted, whether it was a more natural look or something more dramatic. I absolutely loved my wedding makeup and hair, and all of our hair and makeup stayed perfectly intact for 15 hours or more. Asal also has a really good eye and instinct for what would look good with your dress and the general look you're going for, even if you're unsure of exactly what you want, which was enormously helpful to all of us. I'll definitely be recommending her to all my friends and relatives who get married or have big events.

She was able to accommodate my trial on a late afternoon, listened to what I wanted and after the trial I booked her on the spot. I will say that I was very picky with my hair and makeup and prior to finding her I went to a few trials and none of them turned out the way I was envisioning. Asal was a dream to work with for my wedding. After a previous hair and makeup artist flaked on me for my wedding, I was so happy to have Asal recommended by a friend. The trial run was great, and you can tell she pays attention to detail. My maid of honor went to the trial with me and gave Asal the stamp of approval too, so I knew she’d be a good choice. On the day of the wedding, Asal and her assistant kept to their schedule and I think may have even finished a little early. All of my girls’ hair and makeup looked amazing. Some of them do not normally wear heavy makeup, and Asal did a good job to not pile it on heavy for them. My mom also got her hair and makeup done, and was very indecisive about what her look should be. Asal made great recommendations to her and executed a flawless look for my mom as well. We all looked great! My hair and makeup lasted all night, which as a bride who had to brave some wind outside and likes to dance A LOT, that was so amazing to not have to worry about my hair falling out or my face melting off! I felt truly beautiful on the inside and out on my wedding day thanks to Asal.

Asal is incredible! I live in Colorado but had my wedding in Virginia. Asal and I were not able to line up our schedules before my wedding so we weren't able to book a trial. Despite going into it blind, Asal did a phenomenal job. She listened to what I wanted and checked in with me along the way to make sure I was happy with each step. The makeup she used lasted all day and didn't look or feel caked on/heavy. Asal was a dream to work with-- I would highly recommend her services!

I was so glad I hired Asal and her team of beauticians for my wedding day. She personally did my hair and makeup, and all the makeup of my bridal party while her assistant did the hair of all of the bridal party members. During my hair and makeup trial, Asal worked with me/my complexion/my style to find a look that worked for me and made me look natural. We tried out several different eye makeup styles and Asal was very patient with me through the entire process (even though I changed my mind about both my hair and makeup several times!!). A few days before the wedding, we had one additional person who decided to get their hair and makeup done Asal was easily able to accommodate for that extra person. She was not only a pleasure to work with, but she was so kind and so wonderful to be around. She is clearly a very skilled hair and makeup artist - the pictures speak for themselves. But what they don't show is how pleasant and easy she is to work with. I highly recommend hiring Asal for your wedding day - it was one of the best decisions I made!

Couldn't have picked a better makeup artist for my wedding. She is amazing! So sweet & very responsive - I knew immediately after my trial that I wanted her for my big day. I told Asal I wanted nude lips, smokey eyes and lots of lashes- she nailed it! I still looked like myself and the makeup lasted from noon until after mid night. She did makeup & hair exactly as I asked her! I can’t recommend her enough! Definitely book her for your wedding! :)

Asal did such a great job with both my hair and makeup for my recent wedding! She did it exactly as we had planned during the trial and was able to complete the makeup for all of my bridesmaids and my mom and mother-in-law. Although I started to get a little worried when it seemed like we may run out of time before the limo was arriving to pick us up, she remained calm and reassuring and was able to finish in enough time. We did a trial run and I thought I was happy with the way the makeup was, but I decided a couple days before the wedding that I wanted to go with a different look. I could not say enough great things about Asal! We planned a wedding in under a month and I contacted Asal the week of my wedding and luckily she was available! I had Asal for my bridal makeup and hair, and I could not have been happier. She is a very talented artist, yet so humble. I first had a trial session with her, and I was very impressed with her work that day. I asked her for some last minute changes on the day of, and she easily accommodated my requests. After seeing the photos of my trial makeup, my mother decided to have Asal for her makeup and hair on my wedding day as well. She was very much satisfied too. I should note that Asal is very professional and personally very patient. My apartment was a bit hectic on my wedding day while she was working, yet she easily managed to keep herself and us focused so that we could be ready on time. She also has a calming attitude which is much appreciated on the wedding day. During the wedding, I received a lot of compliments about both my makeup and hair. Overall, I think Asal is a 5 star artist.

Asal is like the meaning behind her her name. She is as close to perfection you can get and will not be disappointed which is transparent in her work! Imagine, it was just one week away from my wedding and my mother and I didn’t have our hair and makeup booked, any other bride would have freaked out. Asal was highly recommended by where I do facials ( Nilou Spa), the combination of prepping my skin and Asal's art made me feel like a bride, I am extremely grateful that we all crossed paths! I went to Asal for my hair and makeup trial one week before my wedding; she worked with my mom and I to create the look we envisioned and was very accommodating making minor changes after the day of our wedding. I had her do both airbrush (trial) and foundation (wedding), both lasted all night. I highly recommend future brides to do their first and hopefully only trial with Asal for both bridal hair and makeup. Further, bridal hair and makeup trials are very important and must, as they set the tone, is a chance for brides and their artist to be acquainted and comfortable with one another. I really appreciate her passion and dedication following up after both the trial and our wedding, that meant a lot. On the day of our wedding she arrived at our hotel on time and waited patiently despite a no show from our rental company which pushed back things. She was an extremely calming presence and took time perfecting every detail. Everyone complimented me on how beautiful I looked and l was the happiest bride ever smiling all night. Also, I will never forget the look of my husband when he saw me saw me walk down the isle, he could not stop smiling from the time he saw me till the next day! Our hair and makeup lasted all night through the tears, rain, multiple ceremonies, and nonstop dancing without any touch ups. Not to mention beautiful photos! She exceeded our expectations and a genuinely wonderful person. We will book all future events and she is just AMAZING!
