Ascend Events Planning

We just had our wedding in early September of this year and have received amazing feedback about the event. Short review: Kayla did a fantastic job and we're very pleased with the outcome. Long review: We first spoke with Kayla in late October of last year (2022). Even though geographically she was not as local as we were looking for (My then-fiancee gave me a list of people, I messed up), we were immediately impressed and ready to move forward with her after speaking with 5 or so other options. Kayla's real. Of every wedding planner we spoke with, they started off by telling us how they already had an idea for what to do. Kayla and Ascend Events were the only option that told us that, not only does she not have an idea yet because she didn't KNOW us, she also was honest with how weddings are ultimately tough, things may go wrong and that if we selected her, we could be confident that she'd help us pivot and be successful. Nearly a year of regular phone calls, updates and (honestly, Kayla going above and beyond the initial expectations she set - for instance, she contacted more vendors than she was contractually obligated to), we had a great day with a fantastic team. All of our vendors were quirky, personable and just pleasant to be around. The day of was incredibly smooth. My groomsmen were given frequent instructions, and my wife and I, most importantly, ate quite a bit of food (which we've learned is not the usual experience.) We highly recommend Kayla. We are definitely hopeful that we won't personally need her wedding services in the future, but we happily would refer her to those close to us.
