About the owner: Blake Smith, also known as DJ Ascension, is a talented multi-genre turntablist who began his career over two decades ago. Since then, he has performed at countless festivals, including Bonnaroo, AfterGlow, EDC Las Vegas, Burning Man, and countless more. DJ Ascension earned an associate's degree in Live Performance Disc Jockey techniques and Audio Engineering from Scottsdale Community College and now teaches DJs and MCs at Mesa Community College.
Ascension Productions is available for rehearsals, ceremonies, receptions, and after-parties. DJ Ascension's vast, genre-spanning music library includes all your favorite classical, country, dance, disco, EDM, hip-hop, pop, and rock favorites. He had some solid cocktail playlists that we used to get ideas. The website and portal was very user friendly and made it a seamless experience to select reception songs off a list.
During the reception the music was awesome and transitions were smooth. He got up on a chair and played electric guitar and our guests loved it. He even played a little bit of trumpet which was a fun touch that led to a memorable experience. Extremely engaging. Overall a 10/10 experience that we will never forget. Thanks Blake!

In addition you need to add his trumpet and guitar performances to your package as he absolutely killed it and the whole wedding loved it. If Blake wasn’t a DJ, he’d be an incredible planner as when our planner stepped away he stepped in and made sure the wedding stayed on track.
