Horrific customer service! I booked via Expedia, needed to cancel - thought I did on Expedia. Could not find confirmation. Called Ash Mill. Girl at desk told me not to worry. Now I...
’m being charged and owner is unwilling to help. Seriously? Why did we have a conversation? Why did you tell me no worries? Thanks for screwing me over. I will continue to share my experience
We were looking at Ash Mill Farm for a possible wedding venue for next year, so we went to their Wedding Expo and decided to stay the weekend. What a joke!
In my opinion the owner...
has no idea what he is doing. Our room had a filthy hot tub that we had to clean before we used it, a broken toilet seat, and broken glass panels at the back door, where the smell of the pasture and barn would waft
In.
We were allowed by one of the innkeepers, Joe, to go into the pasture and visit with the animals; however, we weren't told about Poe, the goat who tends to attack people (both my fiance and I experienced that firsthand). Even
one of the wedding vendors admitted that she'd gotten bruises from Poe butting into her hip.
I was accused by the owner of having had "too many mimosas" when I spoke to him regarding the issues I had (such as Poe being dangerous and a liability, especially to small children who could easily get into the pasture, or folks getting E. Coli from all of the animal excrement.) I have an autoimmune disease and CANNOT have alcohol. My doctors can easily vouch for that. I had plain orange juice. To accuse me of that was rude, unprofessional and out of line. But what should I expect from someone who, instead of helping out with the Wedding Expo, was rolling around the pasture with his animals and their excrement for much of the time?
And the so-called "Expo" was small. Very small. One DJ, no live bands, three examples of "sweetheart" tables, three examples of guests' tables, main courses that we could look at but couldn't taste, no option for a cash bar or alcohol-free, a tent that seemed like it was going to blow away since it was a windy day, an old barn located right above the pasture that they insist can do a cocktail hour/small ceremony in (as long as, again, you don’t mind the smell of excrement wafting up and in—just imagine it on a hot summer day) was very underwhelming.
Just don't bother with this place.
We absolutely loved our wedding at Ash Mill Farm! We had to change venues fairly close to our date because our original venue couldn’t host us, and Lisa welcomed us with open arms....
It was a blessing in disguise having to change venues because everything about Ash Mill was perfect. We are so grateful to Lisa! She is kind, patient, experienced and thorough and was a huge source of support for us. Thanks to her, our day went off smoothly! The facilities were beautiful and so picturesque! If you want an outdoor bucks county wedding, look no further! Highly recommend!
The venue was beautiful, our event manager was so helpful, and it all came together for the most magical of days! 10/10 we would get married here again! We had beautiful weather so...
did not have to enact the rainy day plan, but the venue has one in place. Single caterer, we went with the basic food package and it was fabulous. We also opted to do our rehearsal dinner on the property since you get it for the whole weekend, and that required our own organization of food and beverages for that night but it worked out well. We did rent a bathroom trailer and the majority of guests utilized that so would do again, there are 2 bathrooms on site but one is hard to get to for elderly guests. Plenty of parking in the back field, and the shuttle didn't have any problem finding the place or turning around in the driveway.
