Shynna and Ashley were such a joy to be around during the trial session and, more importantly, on the big day. They were on time and ready to go the morning of the wedding and kept...
to the schedule for all girls and mothers. The bride (my daughter) looked like a Jane Austin character which made her extremely happy. And, as mother of the bride, I asked for an old Hollywood glamour wave and it was perfect. Much of the make-up was a custom blend for each girl and everyone looked natural and fantastic. The pictures look great. I highly recommend this beauty team.
I could not have asked for a better beauty team. Both the trial and the day of the wedding, we had a blast. Shoutout to Shynna for my hair and makeup - she is curly girl approved...

Ashley and Shynna do a great job of understanding what look you want, and they have an ability to deliver a range of looks. From my mom's more traditional instincts to my more glam approach to my SIL's more avant-garde aesthetic, they made every person look her best in their own way. I would recommend them to anyone.

hose brides who doesn't know exactly what she wants her hair and makeup to look like, which can make it intimidating to find stylists. But Shynna and Ashley helped me find a look that I absolutely loved. On the day of the wedding they were right on time and made me look beautiful. I'd recommend them to anyone!

ut what I was looking for for my big wedding weekend. I had two ceremonies (an Indian and a western style) with two very different looks on each day. They did two separate trials for me and made sure I loved the look. I really appreciated Ashley's attention to detail in getting my hair right for the Indian ceremony even though it was something she hasn't worked on before! It looks fabulous. As for makeup, I was quite adamant about working with someone who knew how to work with darker skin tones, and Shynna was incredible. She made me feel very comfortable throughout, often checking in on me to make sure that I was still loving the look and was open to any changes I wanted to make on the day of the ceremony. I cannot recommend A&S highly enough - they made me look and feel incredible. My whole bridal party & close family also loved getting made up with their team - each of their stylists made my family look and feel their best. Thank you both for being a part of that amazing day!
I can't say enough good things about Ashley and Shynna. From the first time I met them when they did my friend's makeup for her wedding, I knew they were going to be the team for m...
y wedding. They were professional, kind, and so talented at what they did. Everything was hammered out in our trial and the morning of the wedding was stress free. I felt so beautiful and so did my gorgeous mama, who had her hair and makeup done by them too.

hair, I was so humbled. On top of their amazing hair and makeup skills, Ashley & Shynna were just such a blessing to have around on the wedding morning. They were so fun, and brought so much calm to the pre-wedding jitters.
Highly recommend! The hair and makeup team was fantastic and fabulous. They styled all the ladies and both grooms beautifully for my wedding.
A friend of mine recommended Ashley ...
and Shynna to hire for hair and makeup to style the grooms and wedding party for my wedding, and they were fun, fantastic and wonderful! Overall, it was a magical experience.
I. Loved. Them. So. Much. When I connected with Ashley and Shynna they met with me right away for a virtual consultation, and they were within my budget but so freaking talented an...
d knowledgeable. Throughout the process, they always got back to me right away whenever I had any random question, and made adjustments right up to the last minute--even when I realized a week before I needed to add one extra friend to get hair and makeup. They were lovely to spend time with, and did an incredible trial for me. Shynna nailed the color palette I wanted, and even recommended a makeup remover I'm now obsessed with. And after the trial, when I decided I wanted to go a different direction with my hair, Ashley got exactly what I was going for and it was perfect. I looked better than I ever could have imagined!
Yoooooo. As a woman of color with natural hair, it was almost IMPOSSIBLE to find someone to do my hair and makeup. So I am beyond grateful and thankful that I found Ashes and Shine...
. True professionals from the make-up trial to the actual day, showed up on time and ready to make everyone look and feel good. I would HIGHLY recommend hiring them and will hire them again in the future.
Ashes & Shine did an amazing job with my hair and makeup for my wedding! I especially want to recommend them for curly haired brides. I wanted to keep my curls natural but elevated...
and so they came in and wet my hair down, did it curl by curl, and dried it so that it would be my same natural hair but super gorgeous. Also loved the makeup, and in general their energy was so sweet and lovely. You spend hours with a hair and makeup person on your wedding day, so it has to be someone who is as kind and wonderful as Ashley and Shynna. Also, I really appreciated the trial it was a nice experience to get to know them a little better and make me feel more comfortable with my wedding look!

They also came to multiple locations and had multiple assistants who do incredible work! If you don't like it, they will fix it. They are responsive and fun fact have been friends for a long time so they work well together! BOOK THEM, you won't regret it!
