Promise and Callie are so talented. They took time to access what everyone had envisioned for their looks and what would look best based on features of each individual. Promise took time with our make up, and listened to everyone's concerns. In particular, I am very pale and have had make-up artists that used heavy bronzer to try to "fix" my skin tone. Promise listened to the fact that I know I am pale and while a touch of bronzer is ok, I know I will not look tan. Additionally, Promise took extra time with my sister in law (who is Asian) to ensure that her eye make-up suited her eye shape and looked perfect. Promise even made everyone little touch up kits with a small sample of the makeup used so that we could re-apply if needed. Callie got a burst of energy once she saw everyone's inspiration pictures. It was evident she was enjoying what she does. And it definitely showed in the final product!
Plus, the ladies were fun. Hair and makeup for 5 people takes some time. But they fit right in like they were part of the gang. We made sure they were fed well (although it wasn't required in the contract) and had a fun time getting ready with them.
I would recommend Asheville Beauty Bar to anyone who needed hair and/or make-up for an event. And wish they lived closer to home so I could use them for all my upcoming events.

Asheville Beauty Bar was more than flexible with the new scheduling and even rose to the occasion to add on hair services at the last minute when my initial salon was not able to make the new date. ing did not make that easy for Promise and the hair stylist, Tasha. The first two appointments were late by about 10 minutes and those ten minutes make a huge difference – be there, and be on time, the earlier the better.
Everything about makeup and hair got delayed from there on at no fault of theirs, they were there early and set up, and THEN I had some ladies who didn’t know what they wanted which risked spending time changing things up; so bride, have your girls know what they want or have all your girls get the same thing. And THEN I had family friends try to add a service the DAY OF and whew, I was stressed but these girls showed their experience!! They handled every single curveball with ease and even helped calm my nerves and advocate for me when something unexpected came up at our wedding.
Promise and her team go above and beyond what I think is the duty of a makeup artist so I can say I highly recommend them! Makeup and hair is not something you will want to underestimate, or do by chance, as it does take up the most time in the background; one wrong move, and the day goes left! I'm happy to say we all still made it on time, looking good, with little complimentary touch up bags with our lipstick color, applicator, and a straw for everyone and an additional powder puff for the bride, ALL because of Promise and Tasha from Asheville Beauty Bar!

The week of the wedding I found out that unfortunately she would not be the one attending to do my makeup, but she assured me that she was sending one of her top makeup artists in her place. She sent me several photos of Martiza's work and Martiza did not disappoint! Every girl in my bridal party (including me) LOVED her work. Our makeup looked natural and beautiful. Several of my bridesmaids also had their hair done. Our hair looked great and I loved what the stylist did with mine.
