I cannot recommend Ashley enough! We were introduced to Ashley through our wedding planner, and from the moment we met her, we instantly loved her! Our engagement shoot in North Lake Tahoe was a fantastic experience. Ashley helped us find the perfect location at the Palisades, which was exactly the scenery we wanted. We wanted to include our dog in our engagement photos and she captured his personality perfectly as well. It felt like we were working with a close friend the whole time. We're not used to having our pictures taken and were a little nervous at first, but Ashley made the process feel so natural and easy. We really enjoyed the entire experience and the photos came out perfectly candid, capturing our personalities so well. On our wedding day, Ashley and her team were a dream to work with. We got all the pictures we wanted with our family and friends without it feeling overwhelming or time-consuming. She kept everything fun and made us laugh, which we really appreciated. She delivered our sneak peak only after a couple days! The photos are light, airy, and exactly what we envisioned. We couldn't be happier or more grateful to Ashley for perfectly capturing our special day. Her work is stunning and we are so happy we worked with her. Thank you for everything Ashley!!

Ashley is an amazing photographer and a truly wonderful person. She took the most beautiful photos of us at our wedding, which was no easy feat because we both hate having our picture taken. She was very good at helping us relax and embrace the moment. She used all her tips and tricks to get us to look natural in the amazing photos she captured. From the first meeting we had with Ashley, she understood our vibe. We didn’t want to do an engagement photo shoot and instead of pressuring us to do that (like some other photographers did), she told us that she completely understood and gave us the option of her coming to our welcome party instead of an engagement shoot, which ended up working out incredibly well. Ashley went above and beyond to prepare for our wedding. She had never photographed at our venue before, but she made a point of making several trips to the venue prior to our wedding weekend to scope out the best places for photographs and talk to the wedding coordinator at the venue to make sure she knew all the best spots for photos. She worked extremely well with all of our vendors and our wedding planner is still gushing about how wonderful Ashley was and how she can’t wait to work with her again. Ashley also navigated our families so well and made everyone feel special and seen on our wedding day. Ashley and her second shooter, Morgan, were an amazing team, and we have the best photos to remember everything. I cannot recommend Ashley enough! She’s the best!

We hired Ashley to photograph our wedding in July 2022. She is talented, professional, and genuinely fun to work with. She was attentive and organized when photographing us and our extended family before, during, and after the ceremony, and she also captured some excellent candid shots while roaming the venue during the welcome dinner and reception. Ashley cheerfully went above and beyond, indulging us when we wanted to sneak away for an unplanned sunset picture on the bluffs after the ceremony, and offering beautiful portraits of our friends and family during the reception. In brief, Ashley is great at what she does, and I highly recommend her.

BOOK IMMEDIATELY. My husband and I were very thoughtful in our plan for all of our vendors, but the most important thing was the feeling we got when we met someone and if we could envision ourselves spending the day with them. Not only are you vendors responsible for the content/memories/feeling of your day but they spend time with you. ESPECIALLY your photographer on the day of the wedding- sharing some of the most intimate moments with you. The second we met Ashley we knew we found our person, she is an incredible human being. Not only is she extremely talented, but she makes you feel so comfortable and nothing ever felt forced!! During some of the most intimate moments, we never felt like anyone was with us and during times where we needed support she was friendly and warm. I wish we could celebrate all over again just to spend time with her. Also, she went above and beyond when she didnt even need too... my bridesmaids and I booked Uber XLs to take us to the venue and needless to say one was very late! But we were saved because Ashley ended up driving me and three of my girls to our wedding :) best card ride ever!!! She is a dream to work with and please read her weekly newsletters because SO MANY helpful tips a tricks. We only have our "teasers" so far and I can already tell you that these are some of the best photos of us we've ever seen. Lastly, many vendors dont provide these additional services included in her package but Ashley came with everything included. We adore you Ashley - best vendor ever!

Ashley Carlascio was phenomenal start to finish. She is so kind, talented, professional, easy to work with and honestly the list goes on and on about how great she is as a person and photographer. We are beyond happy with our experience and how perfectly she captured our big day. Our sneak peak was sent so so fast and our full album was beyond what we every expected! So incredibly pleased with everything Ashley did for us!

Ashley was a dream wedding photographer from start to finish. Before the wedding we chatted many times & she was easy to work with, professional, genuinely nice, & gave great advice for the whole process. She created a detailed timeline and went through it with us prior to the wedding and it was exactly what we wanted. On the actual wedding day Ashley made everything so stress free. Pictures went so quickly and were so easy with her guiding everything. She has a GREAT eye for detail and makes sure the pictures are perfect. She also learned many people’s names from the wedding party which speaks to her professionalism & how much she cares about her clients. There were no awkward moments when taking pictures and she managed a large group of people & kids with ease! We got a sneak peek of almost 40 picture by the next day and they were absolutely perfect. Every single picture!! I would use Ashley for any pictures I need in the future & would recommend her to anyone + everyone.

We were beyond elated to have Ashley as our photographer at our wedding! From the planning stages, Ashley was thoughtful about our whole timeline for the evening and walked us through our photo choices (like whether to get sunset photos at the nearby beach, or closer onsite which would let us spend more time with our guests). She was so thorough with her timeline, we actually used her timeline over any created by our coordinators to plan our day. Ashley did such an incredible job putting us at ease and bringing out genuine moments of happiness between us, that she then captured beautifully. Both Ashley and her second shooter Morgan, navigated through our many family members efficiently and in such a friendly upbeat manner. We had multiple family members and guests comment on how great our photographers were at directing groups for photos and being present everywhere there was a moment to capture. Beyond their photography role, Ashley and Morgan felt more like friends than vendors on our wedding day. They helped us pin our boutonnière, figure out a pocket square, kept an eye for straightening Alyssa’s tie, and fashioned a tie clip from a bobby pin to keep the tie straight through the rest of the night. They thoughtfully brought a water bottle for us as we traipsed around the redwoods taking photos before our ceremony, and gave us snacks as they hid us in their car when guests were arriving to the ceremony site. As a queer couple, Ashley was the most conscientious vendor we worked with - from having neutral gender on her paperwork, to picking up on the subtle cues of what language we used to describe each other, we felt incredibly accepted and comfortable with her. We were initially drawn to Ashley for her creative vision - we loved the way she managed to capture moments of emotion and her images highlighting the nature surrounding her subjects. Our engagement photos in Yosemite and the sneak-peek photos of our wedding have been everything we hoped for, and we are so excited to see more!

Ashley was the photographer for both our engagement shoot and wedding. I am so in LOVE with all of our photos. She made both experiences so much fun and as seamless as possible. We were a little nervous about taking our engagement photos but now it’s one of our favorite memories from the whole wedding planning process. We had so much fun! She is so awesome and I would hire again in a heartbeat. She has great communication and puts a lot of care and detail into what she does. I'm a big advocate for hiring wedding vendors who are talented, are good people, and who I personally connect with. There was no doubt that Ashley checked those boxes and more. Ashley has an infectious positive personality. She is sweet, passionate, caring, kind, communicative, professional, fun, has a heart of gold and without question, talented. My husband and I have never taken professional photos before our engagement shoot with Ashley and were nervous about how "awkward" we would feel or look in front of the camera. If you are like us, do not worry, because Ashley truly has the gift of making everyone feel comfortable and beautiful in front of the camera from the start. Her work is breathtaking (literally when I opened our engagement photos and wedding sneak peaks -which she gave us in less than 24 hours!- she took my breath away). My fiancé and I were so lucky to find Ashley! From start to finish, Ashley was easy to work with and extremely professional. I think most people worry about feeling awkward posing for photos, but Ashley takes care of all that! She gives guidance for poses and provides really great cueing throughout the shoot. I love the style of her photography - clean, bright, and true-to-color. Ashley had our photos edited and back to us in only 2 weeks! The photoshoot itself was so fun! We planned a last minute micro wedding. I was searching online for a photographer about a week before the wedding and luckily was connected to Ashley! She was such a great choice for us! We wanted photographs that capture emotion, motion and rich color, plus a photographer who was easy to work with! She was so organized, thoughtful, and helpful on the day of. One the day of, she made us feel so so incredibly comfortable. A few things that shows she goes above and beyond: 1) she knew all of the Hindu terms (outfit, ceremony, etc) 2) she learned all of our family members names and made the experience so personal 3) she sent us the most thoughtful newlywed gift. Ashley exceeded all my expectations! From our first meeting to the day of the wedding, she made me feel special. I was so nervous when trying to find a photographer, everyone tells you it is one of the most important vendors you can pick. From the first phone call with Ashley I knew she was the woman for us! Of course we LOVE her photos, the use of natural light and enhancing the natural beauty behind the couples along with the pure joy and love she captures. BUT the best part is working with Ashley! She is the sweetest human and put us at ease from moment one. So capable, organized and personal, you can tell she truly loves what she does and her clients :) With COVID-19 we had to re-imagine our dream wedding. This meant moving our larger celebration to 2021 and hosting a small ceremony in my parents backyard. The one thing I knew was I wanted Ashley to capture both days. Ashley worked with us on pricing out an elopement contract and flew down to southern CA and to capture our 20 person event. THEN she turned around preview photos in basically 24 hours. CANNOT wait to see the rest and am so grateful we get to do it all again in 2021!

We have nothing but great things to say about AVH Photography! Ashley took our engagement pictures for us, which gave us a good chance to get comfortable with her and the idea of someone taking pictures of us not looking goofy (rare) and meet our dogs, who would later also be part of the wedding. The engagement pics turned out great so we knew we had made the right choice. When picking a photographer, I think it's very important to pick a photographer that you feel comfortable with on a personal level. You spent basically the entire day with this person! If you don't get along, or find them to be annoying, it's not going to be a good experience. LUCKILY, we just loved Ashley. She's fun but not intrusive and she totally knows what she's doing. She makes great use of her time (taking detail shots while bridesmaids are getting ready, had assistant to take pics of the groomsmen, etc. she kept busy THE WHOLE TIME) and she's very organized with taking the big family photos, which can be tedious. Ashley took SO MANY great pictures and she got them back to us faster than she had told us she would in the contract. We were seriously delighted and had such a great experience. Everyone who has seen our photos love them and have said what a great job she did! We HIGHLY recommend her and will definitely hire her again in the future for other sessions.

Our overall experience with Ashley could not have been easier or more wonderful! I’ve now done a few shoots with Ashley and her photos are some of my most treasured things. From start to finish she makes the whole process enjoyable- even got my now husband comfortable behind the camera;) I highly recommend booking a package that includes engagement photos, we were both anticipating an awkward photo shoot, and Ashley immediately eased those nerves and made the whole process so fun! It took all the nerves out of the photo process for our wedding day too- we both just looked forward to seeing her! Ashley was incredible! We had a small intimate city hall wedding in San Francisco. We had originally booked a larger wedding for a later date and ended up changing our plans, date, and majorly downsizing our wedding pretty last minute. Ashley stayed professional, flexible, and considerate with all the changes and kept a smile and her energy high and contagious through the whole process. She is so sweet! Not to mention the pictures we received after look like something out of a freaking bridal magazine. I 100% recommend her to others looking to have their wedding dreams come true. Ashley was the photographer for my wedding back in 2016, and she did an amazing job. I was incredibly happy with my photos. She and Nate are great to work with; they’re very personable, professional and patient. I showed her some examples of poses I found online that I liked and we were able to recreate those poses along with her many other great ideas. When looking through all the photos, it read like a story, from the start of the day getting ready all the way until the end of the night dancing. Overall great quality photos that I couldn’t be happier with. I would definitely recommend AVH Photography.
