I take pride in providing couples with natural, beautiful images that radiate their personalities and love with candid and touching photos. I strive to capture things others may not notice-the way dad looks as you dance for the first time, the way your MOH cries when you say "I do" - every moment matters! I offer my own personal assistance as we prepare for your wedding day-we will meet, talk often, & discuss the timeline for your day to ensure it will be stress-free for you!

100/10, I cannot say enough good things about Ashley (and her husband Chris.) She made my day absolutely wonderful and I cannot stop looking at all of our pictures! I found Ashley through The Knot, I think she was the 5th or 6th photographer I had messaged with and as soon as we spoke on the phone I knew I wanted to book with her. We clicked immediately. I was going for photos that were candid, colorful and truly captured what the day was like and Ashley went above and beyond. My husband and I are both awkward people, especially when it comes to being the center of attention the way you are when being photographed, but nope, not around Ashley. Our wedding was also anything but conventional, we did not go the normal route of a formal venue and when things got a little hectic during the day because of this, Ashley was right there the whole time reminding us that it was our day and everyone was on our schedule--not the other way around. And as the night went on and people let loose, Ashley went right along with it and got some of the best shots of the day. She was absolutely more of a friend/guest than a vendor and will always be a bright spot when we reminisce about our big day. Again, I cannot say enough good things about her. She has such a fun and comforting personality while also being so professional. I cannot wait to work with her again for a family photoshoot and if you book with her you will NOT be disappointed.

If you’re in Indiana and looking for a photographer, Ashley is YOUR GIRL. We had a super small, intimate wedding at a large, local distillery. We opted for the two photographer option, and her and her husband were incredible. We moved to Texas halfway through wedding planning, which made things way more complicated. But Ashley helped to make it as smooth as possible while being a whole time zone away! We had multiple phone calls to discuss what my husband and I envisioned and she helped to create a timeline for the day. Being so far away was stressful, but she helped ease that stress. She helped communicate with the distillery staff on the day of (for transportation from my location, to the place where the actual ceremony would take place, etc). We didn’t have a wedding planner/ coordinator, so Ashley sort of stepped into that role and kept the day rolling and organized. Her personality kept everyone laughing (like a lot!), and helped everyone feel at ease! We had to switch gears when we discovered that because of previous weather, we couldn’t walk around as much as we intended without getting muddy. Her professionalism shone during this, and she found an even better spot than we originally had in mind! She and her husband took wonderful pictures throughout the whole day, but her vision for after the ceremony and her ideas for our “running through the twilit woods”was INCREDIBLE. She helped us come up with a timeline for the reception and again helped to communicate with the distillery staff to keep things rolling and on time. I can’t say enough great things about her and her skills as a photographer. I wish we still lived in Indiana so we could book her again for something! Even in Texas, I tell everyone about how amazing our wedding photographer was! Thank you so much Ashley!

I found Ashley Ellis Photos on the Knot and I could not have been happier with her!!! We got married 10/26/2024. She was super thorough and helpful, even when she wasnt taking photos. Ashley was an amazing photographer for us! Our photos came out beautiful and she really understood the vibe we were going for. Beyond that, she was there for us on our wedding day. Ready to help, step in, or advocate for us to really make our wedding day and photos the best that it could be. Choosing Ashley to be our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made. She was always there for us throughout the entire process and took the time to get to know us. She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera despite my husband and I being a little shy when it comes to being the center of attention. She also helped create our wedding day timeline and made sure we stayed on track without rushing us and even allotted time for unplanned organic moments. She genuinely made our wedding day experience memorable in the best way. The photos turned out better than we could have imagined and every time we look at them it brings us back to those moments that we will forever cherish. I seriously cannot say enough about Ashley. I knew from the start photographer was one of the most important things to me- as my parents wedding was a disaster. Ashely exceeded my expectations and was literally amazing. The day of our engagement session was so cold and windy, and we did not get the pictures we were wanting to achieve - Ashely (without us having to even voice this) immediately offered to do another session the following weekend because she wanted us to have our perfects photos and nicer weather. This is just one case in went she went above and beyond! She also answered every single question I had - no matter the time or day, and also helped me plan my wedding timeline which took so much stress off my plate. The day of the wedding she kept us on time, and made the day so light hearted and stress free. I made her aware of family members ahead of time that would be trouble. And she made sure they did not ruin my day! On top of providing us with the most amazing pictures, she was there every step of the way that day in whatever way she could. Even if it looked like grabbing me a Truly or helping me fan myself from getting sweaty. If you do not hire this girl - YOU ARE MISSING OUT. PERIOD.

Ashley captured our wedding photos for us in August and we still look at our pictures daily. Her patience, help, and last second bridal help kit were everything we needed. We were worried that looking for a photographer that was happy to do a queer wedding in Indiana would be a challenge, but she didn’t bat an eye. She was more than a photographer, and felt like an all around assist to keeping our day on track. She took our ideas and ran with them and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. Our family and friends raved about her, and we couldn’t have found someone to fit our day better. She made us feel so beautiful and relaxed. AND, we had a few edited photos delivered before the reception was half way through, which made it extra easy to share the next day. 10/10, 5 stars, best of the best, would recommend time and again! IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A SIGN FOR A GOOD PHOTOGRAPHER, THIS IS IT!!!! All I can say is WOW!!!! We had our wedding back in June and to THIS DAY I can’t stop telling other couples to go to Ashley!!! Her style is truly a work of art and you can tell she has such a passion for photography. My favorite thing about her work was that it all felt so natural. Yes there were some “hi look at the camera!” pictures but for majority of the day she was very behind the scenes yet captured unforgettable memories that we will cherish forever!! I also ADORED her caring heart!!! She was constantly checking in on me and the wedding party and was willing to help with anything. Her personality is so fun and upbeat with both the brides side and the groom. She was very professional when it came to creating/sticking to the timeline but I never once felt rushed or overwhelmed when it came to pictures. Ashley was the absolute best photographer I’ve ever had in my life. She captured my wedding day and even came earlier / stayed later than she was planning to! I really liked her package breakdown and how she was very responsive when I had a concern about the timeline of my wedding. We had several phone calls talking about the organization, things I wanted captured, the timeline, etc! Her pricing is also extremely fair - I had done my engagement session already and when I purchased one of her packages, she added 2 hours onto our time since my engagement session was already done! So awesome! If you’re looking for a sweet, communicative, responsible, and VERY talented photographer, please book her! I actually found Ashley on The Knot after searching tons of photographers for our wedding. I really didn’t know what “style” I was looking for but knew I wanted bright and candid shots as I wanted our photos to show the joy of the day (not staged). I clicked on Ashley’s page and found just that! Ashley was excellent from the first communication I had with her inquiring about her services. She was prompt to respond back to my messages and addressed all the questions I had for her. When it came to scheduling our engagement photos, she was very accommodating to our schedule and got them scheduled with plenty of time to get our Save-the-Dates out AND they turned out so good! I have seen many photographers not give the same effort in the engagement photos as the wedding, but that was not the case with Ashley and really out did herself with ours! Then came our wedding day and all I could say is Ashley was wonderful. She was punctual, helped us stayed on a schedule, and captured our wedding beautifully. She helped provide ideas on shots (as I had no idea what I wanted) and edited a ton of sneak peeks on the spot. On top of all of that, Ashley was fun, takes interest in her Client’s needs, and pride in her work. We have now used her for our family shots - she is a lifer with our family. You won’t be disappointed going with Ashley for your wedding photographer - I can promise you that!

Ashley (and Chris) were out of this world amazing to work with and felt like life long friends by the end of the night. We talked about the plan a few weeks out from the wedding and Ashley was willing to work with us to be sure we were covering all of our must haves. Day of they showed up ready to hit the ground running and joined right in with the laughing and celebrating. They kept the schedule running smoothly and didn't make us feel like we were being rushed or not heard if things needed adjusting. Ashley's schedule built in buffer times throughout the day to give us a safety cushion and also some moments just to breath and take everything in. She was kind enough to give me a look at her camera screen multiple times throughout the day and kept checking in to make sure we were getting everything we wanted. The photos we got back after the fact are out of this world and just the cherry on top to such a great experience. It's the perfect balance of traditional shots, portraits, and in the moment snapshots. I will be looking to the images with such a happy heart forever and cannot thank her and Chris enough for all their hard work.

HIRE THIS AMAZING WOMEN - I will recommend Ashley Ellis for every single couple needing a wonderful, talented, caring, and compassionate photographer to make their day the most special day of you lives! I am still in awe of our wedding photos! Her detail photos are fantastic, and she so perfectly captured the special little moments shared between my husband and I. Our wedding did not exactly go as planned... the venue we chose was a NIGHTMARE!!! There were swarms of flies covering the grounds, getting stuck in my dress and veil, and the staff was incredibly rude practically harassing myself AND my wedding vendors, it was awful! Literally the only saving grace that helped to keep my head cool and collected was the care and compassion from my photographer and my DJ. Ashley checked in with me and actually made sure I had everything I needed. She had a whole emergency kit that we utilized several times for the items that we didn't even think we needed. When my wedding coordinators skipped over items and completely screwed our timeline, she stayed later to make sure we captured our sparkler send off. She prioritized us, the couple, over family members opinions, and helped to make us feel so so special. She kept me informed every step of the way on where she was at in editing and updated me as my gallery became available. On my way to our honey moon the following evening, I had several beautiful photos to reminisce on from our special day. I truly have her to thank for making my wedding day special, and I will recommend her to every single other person who needs a wedding photographer!

Where do I even begin? Ashley was absolutely fantastic from start to finish at our engagement session and our wedding. She is so easy to be around, she’s very fun and knows how to put people at ease and help them relax on what can be such a nervous day. She’s very accommodating as well, if you have any poses or special requests to include, she makes sure to add them in. Every smile in all our photos was genuine, thanks in no small part to her. 25 out of 10, highly, highly recommend!!

Looking for the best photographer ever?! Ashley is seriously one of a kind. We have been using her for couple sessions and engagement sessions since 2019. We just had our wedding 9.10.22 and she had sent back so many amazing sneak peeks! We cannot wait to see the rest. We don’t know what we would've done without her on our big day. She kept us on track and it was so stress free the entire day! She always makes you look your best by posing you (which we need help with) and she guides you through the pictures which is so helpful! Seriously though, if you need a photographer she is your woman.
