We worked with Kris on the actual wedding day and having here there while we got ready was so much fun! Makeup by Ashley Mooney) for a two bride wedding where we had an enormous divergence between women who are comfortable with lots of makeup vs. women who *never* wear makeup and don't feel comfortable in much at all. That includes two brides, 5 bridesmaids, and two moms. MBAM did an AMAZING job accommodating each woman and her specific needs, desires, and comfort levels. There is one story, I want to convey, though, that speaks VERY HIGHLY of Ashley Mooney and her team: My (now) wife went to her makeup trial before I did. My wife doesn't wear makeup often, and certainly doesn't speak the language of makeup or know how to explain what she wants. When she got her trial, it was too heavy for her taste, but she didn't feel comfortable to criticize it, because she didn't have the language and is shy. She came home feeling dejected and confused. (None of this was MBAM's fault) However, we emailed with Ashley shortly afterwards, and she was AMAZINGLY ACCOMMODATING. She was immediately warm and accommodating, and scheduled my wife for another makeup trial (free of charge) with me the following evening. Ashley was wonderful about making us feel comfortable in a situation where we were nervous. If you are a woman who doesn't feel comfortable with makeup, being in a lot of makeup, or feel otherwise awkward about makeup - but you want to look amazing in *very comfortable* makeup on your wedding day - MBAM is the makeup vendor for you. MBAM did an incredibly job from start to finish. Highly, highly, recommend.

I had brought a number of pictures of looks I liked to our consultation and they were able to work with me to determine the best look for my wedding day. On the big day, Ashley, Paula, Erin and Kerri showed up with big smiles and high energy. My MOH (who lives in NYC and has her and makeup done often) kept commenting on what an amazing job Ashley and her team did - and she's hard to please! Although I wear a full face of make-up daily, it is a very natural look and didn’t want to not look like myself on my wedding day – Ashley was completely on point for achieving that look. I simply looked like a glammed up version of myself – and I loved it! And Erin nailed the hairstyle I was going for - and made me look like I had much more hair that I actually do. Ashley’s whole team listened to each of our requests and tweaked things as they went along to make sure everyone felt their best - and they even finished ahead of schedule. Our hair and make-up lasted through some very windy outdoor shots and lots of dancing and hugging at the reception. I couldn’t recommend Ashley Mooney and her team more – they were a dream to work with!

I was never rushed out of the door or told I only have 1 hour (like the other makeup studios). So I booked them for my day! They traveled to my parents' house for my wedding day and Krystal did airbrushing and eyelashes for me and all my bridesmaids. Every single one of them looked drop dead gorgeous! The make-up stayed on all night, even with tearing up a few times. I STRONGLY recommend Makeup by Ashley Mooney. I even recommended them to my future sister-in-law. Their professionalism and knowledge was beyond any other makeup vendor I worked with.

you look for in a vendor is dependability. Ashley was prompt the day of, (early, if memory serves me correctly), and my wedding was two hours away in the middle of nowhere! She was nothing but positive and professional when she arrived. I paid for Ashley to do some touch-ups after the wedding..mid-June weddings aren't the best for oily faces. She also did one of my bridesmaids' makeup and my mom's. My mother was gorgeous, and since mom constantly worries about "being over done," Ashley LISTENED and did exactly what my mom pictured. As for my makeup- it lasted all night! I loved that Ashley looked at my photographer's film in between pictures to make sure the makeup looked okay on camera. She went above and beyond to make my day even more special, including DRIVE ME to my wedding ceremony! One of my bridesmaids is now using Makeup by Ashley Mooney for her wedding in June! Thank you so much Ashley, and I can't wait until my next event where I can get dolled up by you!

ng vendor I hired. First and foremost, a wedding vendor must meet the requirements outlined in a contract. In Ashley’s case, this means making you the most beautiful version of yourself. Secondly, the vendor must complete their required assignment in a timely manner. Third and lastly, the vendor must render a service for a reasonable fee for the work performed. A bonus would be hiring a vendor with a great attitude and remaining professional from the first meeting to the last. Ashley not only meets all four of these expectations, she exceeds them. I’ll start at the beginning. From the moment I first contacted Ashley to inquire about her services, I felt her excitement. Then, I went for my consultation and trial run; that was impressive. I walked in and she was fully prepared with a professional make-up chair, professional lighting, and every high-end make-up product you could imagine. With her brush “belt” tied around her waist and a big smile on her face, she asked me what my expectations and concerns were. Ashley was wonderful at explaining how she would set up and handle the make-up for the day. She even made a detailed timeline which made me feel so comfortable knowing I didn’t have to worry about that first part of the day. Ashley showed up promptly at my hotel on the day of the wedding- chair, lighting, and make-up in tow. She had a giant smile on her face and I could tell she was just as excited to be there as I was to have her. Ashley did an amazing job working around the hair stylist’s schedule and overcoming other small obstacles without hesitation. She made me laugh, calmed me down, and encouraged me all while working. She made the morning! Now as for the technical side, Ashley used airbrush foundation and we looked flawless from early afternoon to late evening without any touch-ups. Ashley also applied false eyelashes and my husband even said after the wedding, “Can you wear those all the time?” I should mention that he never notices make-up . Needless to say, Ashley did an outstanding job at making us look naturally beautiful. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ashley but if you only take one thing away from this recommendation, please remember: Ashley GENIUNELY LOVES being a part of YOUR day. I can’t say that for most vendors. They are there to do their jobs and go home. Ashley is there to be excited with you and to make your day that much more special, in addition to making you look beautiful. Ashley was by far the best wedding vendor I hired and suggest you do the same. Your day will be one to never forget.

he actual wedding itself, I rehired her for the reception party in New York City the following weekend! Ashley was phenomenal two times in a row! I had a trial run consultation with her and decided on airbrush natural look. I absolutely loved her airbrush technique followed by her choice of colors! If you can do airbrush, I highly recommend it. My skin looked flawless and very natural, and felt so ethereal! My makeup stayed on through dancing, greetings and tears and it looked beautiful in all the pictures, from beginning of the night to the after parties both times! (which was super late, we partied till 3am) For my friends and family Ashley used either airbrush or traditional makeup and that came out beautifully on everyone! They all loved Ashley and were all very happy with their makeup and service. While I hired Ashley for makeup, she was voluntarily instrumental in organizing the flow of preparation for both events. She instituted a hair and makeup timeline, which she distributed to not only me, but to my photographer and wedding coordinator. Ashley was able to communicate my wedding vision to all the vendors so everyone was working together towards a unified goal. Since I am not an event planner myself, this was incredibly helpful, I didn't have to worry about a thing! I was very relaxed, and enjoyed the hair & makeup preparations for both wedding events because all vendors were calm and functioning on schedule. I simply had to go from the hair stylist’s chair to the makeup chair to meeting the photographer. All hair & makeup events went perfectly as planned. It was wonderful! Local or Destination, I highly recommend Makeup By Ashley Mooney!
