very thorough and detailed in making sure she understood what we were envisioning for our wedding day and she delivered on it all. On the day of the wedding she was such a calming presence. She was able to get a perfect mix of posed and candid pictures throughout the day and gently guided us through pictures when we awkwardly did not know what to do. My husband and I do not take pictures often and I typically don’t like how I look in pictures, but I feel beautiful in every picture Ashley took. Each picture we have gotten back is absolutely stunning, we want to frame them all! y a breeze. There are so many aspects to look for in a wedding photographer: day of vibe/timing, intuition, style/talent, and much more. And Ashley's got it all! I've been in weddings where the wedding photographer is kind of a downer, and doesn't help keep the day rolling at all. I've seen this really bring the vibe of the day down for the whole wedding party, so this one was VERY important for me! From first reach out to delivering the gallery, I've always looked forward to talking to Ashley. She's very easy-going, sweet, and enthusiastic. I can tell she really cared that this experience was positive for us the whole way through - especially the wedding day. There is so much joy, but also anxiety on the day of and Ashley eliminated any stress with her upbeat attitude and excitement for us. I'm still blown away by how much fun we had the whole day through, and Ashley was a huge part of that. Wedding day can be stressful and a hustle, but Ashley kept our timeline in control while keeping everyone upbeat and setting the tone for us in way I will always be grateful for. One thing that blew me away about our photos was how many special moments Ashley caught that I had no idea happened until I saw our gallery. For example, our only living grandparents holding hands and chatting while waiting for the ceremony to start. A hug between our fathers that just made my heart melt. A very proud look on my parents face during the ceremony. A hug my brother gave me when he first saw me that day (a moment I never even thought about being so special, and she caught it and the tears we shared). Ashley's experience gives her an intuition to be in the right spot when something amazing is about to happen. All of those little moments were so big for me when I saw the gallery and still bring me to tears when I see them. I love Ashley's photography style. Before this experience, I didn't even know what an editorial style photo was. In her pre-wedding questionnaire, I was able to learn about the different photo styles and let her know which I liked best. I'm so glad she gave me the tools to communicate what I like because some of my favorites from the day are in that style. We have such a great variety of photos from the day (typical family photos, catching the moments, B&W/color, editorial style, and more). This really helps when putting together an album or picking which photos to hang! The whole process of working with Ashley was wonderful and I couldn't be happier with our decision for her to be apart of our day! In the beginning, we were able to have a meeting with Ashley to get to know each other. Her easy process helped put our minds at ease knowing she had this all under control, when we're stressing about many other things. You could tell her attention to detail and knowledge of indoor / outdoor lighting helped her pick the perfect spots for pictures. Above all, she made my husband and I feel natural. Our pictures were not overly posed and looked extremely genuine. Ashley made sure to give us space to enjoy special quiet moments alone throughout the day. She also went above and beyond for our sneak peaks, giving us a lot more photos than expected the day after the wedding. Overall, she’s incredible! I highly recommend her for engagement and wedding photos.

Ashley was exceptionally responsive via email and phone throughout the planning process, provided her own photography timeline (which you know speaks to this planner's heart), super communicative and fun to work with day of, open to adjustments as needed throughout the day/night and extremely professional. Louis, and Ashley made planning from afar so easy. She was quick to communicate all the time with me, my husband, and my coordinator when the time came. She even took time out during the early stages to facetime with us to make sure that it would be the perfect fit. On the photography side of things - Ashley's photos are absolute perfection. I show our photos to pretty much anyone who will look, and each reaction is the same - STUNNING. On our day it was important to us to capture our families/bridal parties on time, but also to have ample time just for photos of my husband and I. She was eager to accommodate everything we wanted as best she could (even laying down in the fall leaves to get some unique and adventurous shots!) Coming in from out of town, we had an idea of where we wanted our photos taken following the ceremony but didn't really know big details. Ashley took care of it all right down to giving our party-bus driver directions. We felt comfortable in front of the camera the whole time and I really loved how she'd give us just a few directions on what to do/where to go/little tips on poses but mostly just let us wander and captured it all! We were incredibly happy & thankful to have Ashley photograph the biggest day of our lives so far + would recommend her to all for their big day.

all of the “big company” photographers were very impersonal and had packages full of things that we just didn’t need or want. We reached out to Ashley Pieper after a bit of research and we were immediately met by someone who exemplified kindness, care, and professionalism. She set up a facetime chat with us so we could have a chance to get to know one another and see if it would be a good fit, and then she went into prices and package details. Similar to with the larger companies, some of what she offered in her package we didn’t need/already had taken care of previously (in our case, an engagement session). Without skipping a beat, she let us swap out the engagement session for other things that were important to us, and she took the time to detail out to us EXACTLY what everything meant, and she helped us set up a payment plan. About a month out from the wedding, she sent us a questionnaire of our photography and wedding priorities. Then, using this information, she sent us a detailed schedule for the wedding and how/when certain pictures would take place. She was always very easy to get in contact with and very flexible to what we wanted for our wedding. On the day of the wedding, she arrived early at the first photo location and was able to get set up very quickly and efficiently. While this was the first official time we’d met in person, through all of our communications it felt like she was an old friend joining us on our special day. She was a very comfortable balance between being directive and taking input on what we wanted. My wife and I both have a fairly large families, yet we were still able to finish family pictures with time to spare, which made for more time to give to candid photos. Separately, we had also hired a videographer to be with us on the day of the wedding. We gave Ashley direction that photos were a priority over video for us, and she managed any conflicts that came up with the videographer for us. I cannot express strongly enough how much Ashley added to our special day. If we could do it all over again, Ashley Pieper Photography would be the very first vendor we book. We will be recommending her to all of our friends and family, and I would recommend her to anyone else who is looking for a seamless photo experience. Thanks, Ashley!
