the trees bloomed and it was absolutely stunning. For my husband and I, we had the honor of having Ty’Asia Peoples as our wedding planner, she was amazing! She was so kind and words can express how attentive she was, she made sure everyone and everything was exactly how we wanted it to be. She made sure my Husband and I were taken care of and didn’t have to worry about anything. She also had an amazing assist, Liz, who was also so kind and fun!! They both made the day so much fun and not stressful at all. Thank you to them and Ashton Gardens!

light pouring through the windows created the most perfect, dreamy backdrop for our ceremony. It was elegant, peaceful, and felt like something out of a magazine. The reception space was just as impressive. The ballrooms were transformed with beautiful uplighting that gave the entire evening a warm, romantic glow. Every detail was thoughtfully executed, and nothing felt overlooked. Hosting 250 guests could have felt overwhelming, but Ashton Gardens handled it effortlessly—serving everyone in an incredibly efficient and seamless timeline without sacrificing quality or experience. The DJ kept the energy high and the dance floor full all night long—it truly felt like a celebration from start to finish. And while everything appeared flawless to us, we know that behind the scenes, Ty’Asia was making it all happen. Any challenge that arose was handled without us ever knowing, allowing us to stay fully present and enjoy every moment. A special note about Ty’Asia: she is truly exceptional. Her calm presence, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate needs before they even arise set her apart. She didn’t just coordinate our wedding—she protected our experience. Every moving piece, every transition, every moment of the day felt effortless because of her. We are beyond grateful for her dedication, professionalism, and heart. She is an absolute gem, and Ashton Gardens is incredibly lucky to have her. If you are looking for a venue that delivers beauty, organization, and an unforgettable experience, Ashton Gardens exceeds every expectation.

many friends and family tell us afterward that the food was awesome. We utilized 2 of the venue’s approved vendors including Cohost Entertainment for the DJ and Lyons Paperie for invitations and programs. I will say that I considered giving this review 4 stars because I did not think the DJ did a great job (made mistakes announcing, did not follow requested instructions, and didn’t mix songs well). However, I kept it 5 stars because I think the venue itself and its staff deserve the 5 stars. I would just suggesting looking at other DJ options instead. 

dinator as part of the package was also huge! Just with her experience, advice and encouragement to make our wedding our own. All the vendors they have in house are also so good and I am grateful to not have had to put brain power towards seeking vendors! Truly it was beautiful and I have 0 regrets/second guessing/doubts that we made the best choice in a venue with Ashton Gardens.

5 tiered wedding cake and a large groom's cake were all eaten... then we found out they started throwing it out before the reception was over. We were told to go outside for the grand exit so some guests who wanted to leave could and we were told those of us who wanted to could continue the reception after, they told us to leave all of our stuff there. When we got back in they had already broken down the tables, throwing away full drinks, piling up cell phones and wallets on a table in the hall. Another issue was they only had three servers for a guest count of 170+, by the time I received my plated dinner it was cold and the people in the back of the room had started to leave. I had several people come up to me because they kept taking the drinks and dumping them. They neglected to announce the wedding party upon entrance to the reception hall. We wanted them to count down a married couple's dance and they did not. The bridal room had been broken down with everyone’s personal items tossed in boxes. We had an out time of 10pm and we felt kicked out at 8:30. It was a very disappointing end to a beautiful day. The venue is beautiful and the ceremony was wonderful.

the reception wasn’t set the night before. I was not aware of some of the issues until after. Mackensie was sweet but the Serving Staff became VERY RUDE when problems were addressed. I wanted a first touch. It happened 5 minutes before walking down the aisle. The groomsman, who were already lined up, set up the shot. When doing entrances, they do not introduce party. I do not have a video of my first dance because we were rushed and the DJ was VERY muffled. We chose a plated dinner hoping everyone would eat together and the opposite happened. There were only 3 servers for 173 guest. I was told over 150 guests, I would have TWO BARS and only one was set up leaving Guests standing for over 15 minutes . The change was NEVER DISCUSSED. All planning showed two bars. I went up to the venue several times and we were told we would have two grooms rooms. Grooms room are closet size and we had 9 men in our party, never shown the other room. I planned for the aging couples dance. No ages were called out and I wanted that moment with the grandparents. When it was time for cake cutting, NOBODY could understand the DJ to know to pay attention. I had a 5 tier cake with a BRAVES STADIUM grooms cake. We cut the cake and that was the only cake offered. We had 4 different flavors of cake. Almond, strawberry, banana pudding, and s’mores. Wedding planner was given 100 Togo containers for cake. ( My family used to cater so we knew we’d have extra.) Only seated guests got offered cake. The guest who were dancing tried to go get cake after, and it was GONE. A FIVE TIER CAKE AND ONLY SOME GUEST GOT A PIECE. THE GROOMS CAKE WAS NEVER CUT UNTIL AFTER THE WEDDING AND GROOMS MOTHER WAS THE ONE WHO CUT IT. When We addressed the staff, about the rest of the cake, the staff was very rude and not understanding at all. They admitted to throwing all cake away. I told the staff before the wedding that I did not want to keep any of the cake and I wanted it to be all handed out to the guest with to go boxes. We did an early sendoff, but we had the venue until 10 PM. Sendoff was at 8:30. By the time we had gotten back inside, tables were busted down, everybody’s drinks were thrown away, and over $1000+ worth of cake was gone. We felt rushed out. They were told to hand out all of the cake, but I know a lot people didn’t even get to try the cake. They had no sympathy except Wedding planner offered to get me a cake if that would fix the issue. After leaving the venue, the staff no longer cared about how they messed up. When previously catering plated weddings, we left the cake out on the table until all of the guests were gone and each server had three tables to focus on to make sure everybody was taken care of. Not three staff for the whole wedding. Several guest saw a staff member throwing up and when several people say it, it’s hard to not believe especially when the night before was New Year’s Eve. I tried to address concerns after the wedding and the coordinator was dismissive and lied in her response to cover up major issues. I fell in love with the venue when I first walked in, but there were a lot of issues during the wedding that shouldn’t have been. I hope this helps in your venue finding or if you were in love like I was, make sure these issues don’t happen for yourself.

She adjusted our timeline even on the day of the wedding based on the crowd and me/the groom were feeling. It was truly perfect. <3

She managed the timeline with precision, kept everyone on schedule, and handled all the last-minute details without any stress. We didn’t have to worry about a thing because we knew Merritt was in control. The ceremony and reception went off without a hitch, and we were able to fully enjoy the day knowing that everything was taken care of. Merritt's warm and approachable demeanor made her a joy to work with, and we could tell she genuinely cares about making each couple's day as special as possible. If you're planning a wedding at Ashton Gardens, we can't recommend Merritt enough. She’s a true professional who helped make our dream wedding come to life. Thank you, Merritt!
