more quickly. Some things felt they were left hanging in the air for too long and the handoff felt a bit incomplete. I’m pretty laid back so some of this might have been myself not being more straight forward. However I want to give a shout out to our day of coordinators! Ivy was amazing and so sweet! We were surprised to be her first wedding the venue - she was an absolute boss.  Kennedi was awesome at keeping everyone moving and things communicated, on time, and still keeping a sense of humor. Basically - don’t hesitate. It’s a beautiful venue - you can edit the packages you need based on how much time you and your spouse has to dedicate to organizing - or as little. Someone else mentioned obviously a package is still going to cost you - but you can mix and match. We had our own photography, DJ, and Photo Booth and some of our own decor. As long as you communicate you can get what you need from them and take on as much as you like. No regrets here! 💗

e it incredibly stress free! I can’t sing Janeen’s praises enough, she dealt with family drama, timing, decor, EVERYTHING!! She was so amazing and I cannot get over how wonderful she was to us and kept our day relaxing (as relaxing as it could be). The food was amazing (deviled eggs, roasted potatoes, chicken, and rolls are all I had to eat but the eggs were flavorful, chicken was moist, potatoes were great, and the rolls were soft). We also served margaritas and they were great. We personally brought our own flavorings because we also served sodas and people added the flavorings to the margaritas too. Highly recommend bringing more flavorings if you go the signature drink route. My husband and I had a private dinner and they set it up beautifully and no one was allowed to disturb us and it was so wonderful. I loved that you could have the venue be as inclusive as you wanted it to be. We used their DJ and caterers but went elsewhere for cake and florals (H‑E‑B) and I made the decor and stationary myself. I would recommend either going private with a DJ or requesting a different one than we had. We had Omar and he is the only reason we didn’t give Ashton Gardens a five star rating. He didn’t follow the notes we left and wouldn’t contact me to review the cues and things. Granted, he was told a week before the wedding that he would be filling in due to an emergency with our other DJ but there were notes and he didn’t follow any of them. For entrance songs he was starting them all at random parts of the songs instead of the beginnings or the cue time we had written down. We had requested the first dance song be started immediately after our entrance and he didn’t start it until the entrance song had almost ended and threw off our first dance timing. He would also abruptly stop songs and start songs instead of blending or fading in. He seemed to get his groove for DJing when the dance floor opened but he really ruined the vibe and plan for the first 30 minutes. Highly recommend not using Omar or requesting someone else if he is assigned to you. Janeen could’ve gotten the 5 star rating all on her own. She even went and talked to the DJ for us to get things settled. She was so super amazing and personable. 10/10 recommend Janeen for anyone and everyone. Madison was amazing leading up to the day as well but Janeen finished the planning so we had more face to face time with her. Again, everything (other than the DJ) was phenomenal!!! If I had to plan another wedding it would be at this venue again.
