This review is for the AAM as a wedding venue. It was AWESOME. When we found out that the AAM could be rented out for weddings, we knew that we had to have it here. The space is...
absolutely gorgeous as anyone who has been there knows and photographs beautifully. There are few places in SF that can match the grandeur of the AAM, much less the cultural and historical atmosphere of it as well.
As anyone who has planned a wedding knows, the facility staff plays a huge role in your overall happiness, stress level, and successful execution of the event. We had the fortune and pleasure of working with Minda who was fantastic to work with and very accommodating and experienced at these events! Because of her help with us during our planning phase, we never once felt stressed about anything which sounds weird even when I say it since I always thought it was supposed to be stressful. Well it wasn't with AAM and it was definitely because of Minda and her great team!
In short, we had an absolute blast hosting our wedding here and our guests did too, in fact it was so epic that we got covered by several media outlets and it was no doubt because of the overall epicness that was the AAM and its epicest team that helped make our dreams a reality!
5 Stars all around: venue beauty, venue ease of working with, venue staff, venue environment, venue preferred vendors, venue epicness
I loved Asian Art Museum as my wedding venue! It photographs beautifully! They were super professional and nice during the process. We had our ceremony on the staircase which was...
beautiful but a couple things to keep in mind:
1. My dress was super poofy and navigating the stairs for the ceremony was a little challenging
2. Your guests will be standing to watch you and since it will most likely be a formal wedding most ladies will be wearing heels... might want to up the number of chairs for cocktail hour. Some of our elderly guests were not super thrilled.
