Saige and Charles, the creative forces behind the company, aim to blend artistic creativity with technical photographic knowledge to create a beautiful story that captures a couple's essence. The company name originates from various languages. Astrid comes from the old Norse word for "god" and "beautiful," and it can mean godly strength or even divine beauty. Aria in Sanskrit means "noble" or "honorable." In Italian, the word "aria" also means "air" or a melody. These are all aspects and qualities that Astrid & Aria try to encapsulate in their art. At Astrid & Aria, the photographers want to make the experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. They will provide high-quality images for couples to cherish for years to come. Based in Northeast Ohio, Saige specializes in creating authentic and stunning portraits that capture the essence of her clients. Saige's journey began in Beachwood, Ohio, where she honed her skills and developed a deep appreciation for the art of photography. Her formal education at Humber College in Toronto further solidified her expertise, equipping her with the technical knowledge and creative vision to excel in her field. With over a decade of experience, Saige has a knack for making her clients feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. Meet Charles Dakota, Owner and Director at Astrid & Aria Charles Dakota's love for photography began during his travels around the world. After leaving his sales career in 2015 and embarking on a trip to Tokyo, he picked up a camera and never looked back. His adventures in Tucson, Los Angeles, Austin, Fukuoka, Ciudad Obregon, and Melbourne have shaped him into the passionate photographer he is today. As a dedicated father, Charles finds inspiration and motivation in his children. His love for family fuels his creativity and drives him to capture moments that will be cherished for generations. With a degree from the University of Arizona and years of on-the-job experience, Charles has developed a unique style that blends natural light with off-camera flash for stunning results. He believes in capturing authentic moments without excessive editing, focusing on enhancing the natural beauty of his subjects. liments on the photos from our actual engagement photos (where Saige hid in a tree), our engagement shoot, and our wedding. saige made sure that everything was organized day of and a timeline was in place. She kept us on track and ensured the necessary parties were where they were supposed to be at all times. My dad‘s always been an amateur photographer (more so on the nature side), but he’s always taken my photos for proms and high school events. Saige had a wonderful idea to take a photo of my dad photographing me in my wedding dress. It’s probably one of my favorite photos of my dad and I from the wedding. If you’re looking for a wedding group who treats you like a friend and family, then Astrid and Aria is who you’re looking for.

Our wedding day was essentially perfect. Saige and Cody were there early on in the day and had a great timeline so that we could maximize time spent with our guests. The times they pulled us aside for photos were PERFECT and they captured some amazing shots. They are so good at capturing the raw emotions of the day, which is exactly what we wanted. We were so impressed with our gallery and their talent. If you are looking to have a confident, creative team that is easy to work with and will make you feel like naturals in front of the camera, look no further. Would recommend them hands down, over and over again.

They worked seamlessly together from start to finish, making sure every angle, moment, and detail was taken care of. With a large bridal party, I worried about everyone being in the right place at the right time, but they went above and beyond to keep everything organized and running smoothly. They also captured intimate moments in both getting-ready rooms, which we especially loved since we didn’t do a first look. The experience of working with Saige and Cody is unforgettable. I wanted a mix of documentary-style, traditional posed portraits, and creative, artistic shots captured naturally without feeling intrusive. They surpassed those expectations, capturing authentic emotions, subtle details we might have missed, and a beautiful balance of heartfelt and funny moments. perience of working with her as a person. Saige is not only talented at what she does but is so lovely, kind, and exactly who you want around on your big day. We were really hoping to find a photographer that was going to help us balance out our vision with reality. Our ideal wedding pics would capture our event like a documentary - candid, authentic, and truly us, not an overly posed / awkward version of ourselves. EXCEPT, we also wanted to look hot and were so scared that if we were too undirected we’d end up with some wack pictures. Saige (and her amazing assistant, we love you too!) blended this PERFECTLY, giving us so so many pictures that give us the best of both. On a very transparent note, it can be so hard to feel confident in our appearances these days. When getting married there’s so much noise and expectation around beauty, it can be overwhelming at the easiest of times. There’s a lot of pressure to fit a mold that truly so few of us do. I’m so, so glad I went with Saige above all because she never once made me feel judged, insecure, or weird throughout the entire process. in the venue's lake on our wedding day!! After a few months passed and we purchased a 6 person paddle board, the idea seemed more reasonable and we aimed for fall so we could capture the foliage that I had originally wanted on my wedding day. We reached out to Saige, proposed the idea and she LOVED it! Saige did so much more than capture our idea, she made it come alive and stretched (literally and figuratively!) us to consider more. I loved working with Saige from the moment I met her. She was so fun, energetic, positive, personable and upbeat. She loved our idea and had plenty of ways to implement it. She took as much time with us as we wanted. She even went into the water to capture a few shots. The quality of the pictures were priceless.
