Cory C was awesome. He played what we asked for, did not play what we did not want and was extremely flexible when it came to moving around the venue for the different events.

DJ Cory C was amazing and did everything we asked. Couldn't have had a better DJ for our wedding.

Danny is the absolute best DJ you could ever hire! He was absolutely amazing. He and his team crafted a personalized processional song for our ceremony that was everything we ever dreamed of. Then he kept our dance floor going all night! Everyone raved about him, and we loved working with him. We have brainstormed parties to host so we can have him be our DJ again!

We used Astro for our DJ at out sept 2023 wedding. We had Valente as our DJ he came recommended to use from our Day of coordinator. Valente was the best DJ ever. He knew exactly what he was doing and picked up on all my cues. We meet a few times prior to wedding to discuss what we wanted for the day and he of course NAILED IT!! Since the wedding i have run into him at a few other events and he remembered me and asked how we were doing. Loved him and highly recommend!

DJ Cory was EXCELLENT! He was quick to coordinate with us prior to our wedding, and then made sure he was covering the fine details throughout the night. Very, very happy with our decision to go with Astro. We’ve attended 3 weddings since our own and, while we might be biased, our DJ Cory was far better than any other we’ve seen.

Everyone I delt with was top notch. It was a pleasant experience dealing with them. Cory was or DJ and he was awesome! He even stayed a little longer than planed because we were all having such a good time and didn't want it to end.

We got married on 10/28/23 and Freddy Cabrera of Astro Event Company was the DJ. He was perfect! We would absolutely hire him again for any event. He listened and understood what type of mood and atmosphere we were going for with our wedding and he nailed it, from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. He was the perfect host for the evening, from taking requests to accepting changes on the fly. Every song selection he made was a certified banger!! He had everyone on the dance floor from children all the way up to grandparents. And the transitions between songs were always smooth. We sincerely can't rate Freddy and Astro DJ highly enough. They were perfect. We also rented a photobooth from Astro, and a younger man named Bryant (I believe that is his name) was the photobooth attendant, and he was absolutely perfect as well. He was fun and energetic. He offered ideas for poses if guests didn't know what they wanted to do. He was never bored or disinterested in being there. His presence and energy at the photobooth was a small detail that added greatly to the wedding. Truly appreciate him for that.

DJ Solertec was amazing at our wedding! He knew exactly what to play to keep our guests hyped and dancing the entire time. The photo booth was great too. A need for the kind of crazy crowd we had. The company is organized by a great team overall that made booking a DJ easy and carefree. Five stars, wouldn't go with anyone else for a wedding!

Bryan was professional and was able to keep us on the dance floor. We had a blast and was able to mix in our wide taste in music.

We used Astro Event Company as our DJ for our wedding and they were amazing to work with! Nick was our DJ and was very friendly, professional and exceeded our expectations. Danny helped explain their services and get everything scheduled. They also completed check ins before the wedding to make sure all our needs and expectations were met. If we ever need a DJ again in the future, we will definitely be using Astro Event Company!

Astro Events provided the DJ for our 7/22/23 wedding at The Obici House in Suffolk, and they were terrific! DJ Julz Gat was great at using my requested songs but arranging them in a way that kept our guests dancing. We were an older crowd but he still got us line dancing and singing along, lol. Julz handled our ceremony music, the cocktail hour, dinner , and dancing perfectly.

Astro Event company was AMAZING! We were assigned one DJ, but the owner called us the Monday before the wedding and offered to reassign us one of their top DJs, DJ Freddy - and boy did DJ Freddy DELIVER! We got so many compliments on his music choices, his transitions, his ability to "read the room" - all our guests (and us!) had such a blast at our wedding, and he was a huge part of why. Astro also really came through on several other aspects of our wedding -- my mother-in-law worked with them to provide transportation for a brunch cruise the day before our wedding (where, coincidentally, DJ Silver was dj'ing and was also awesome!!), and they provided up-lighting and a gorgeous fairy-light backdrop for our sweetheart table. Would SO HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company!

Our DJ, Carlito, was professional, improvised well and was great on the mic. Played songs that weren't on our request list but made the night fun. Astro only assigned our DJ the Tuesday before our Saturday wedding (5 days before) when he should've been assigned at least 2 weeks prior, which definitely created a lot of unnecessary stress as we were only able to get in contact with our DJ the day before the wedding. Other than that, everything was great.

We got Rodney assigned to us as our DJ and we were obsessed with him!!! When I talked to him the first time to give him an idea of what I wanted, I knew he was going to be amazing. He took a playlist with hours of music and played the BEST of that list. He made sure our guests had a great time. They are still talking about how good the music was!

Loved the fact we were assigned a DJ the week of the wedding. It was really comforting to know that we were the only thing in the agenda for the week. The DJ we received was very unenergetic- did not announce for large events such as cutting of the cake. Expected more from such a well known company.

Our DJ for our wedding was great. Got to choose our songs and he took requests from guests. It was great and we all had a blast dancing the night away!

We used Astro Entertainment to find a DJ for our wedding. Through browsing the DJs they had available, we chose Valente because he already had so many raving review and rightfully so! Valente was an amazing MC and DJ. Kept our event running smoothly and our guests entertained. Even had a few cute surprises in store for us and it made the night so much fun! Highly recommend DJ Valente for your wedding or any event! We also utilized their live streaming services, they streamed our entire ceremony and reception, and we still have access to those videos now to look back on. We didn't have a videographer so these videos are a nice bonus while our our-of-town family also had the opportunity to watch our wedding.

Astro Entertainment is fantastic! We hired our wedding DJ through Astro. We loved the portal for selecting music. DJ Danny Grey is the BEST! He had the party going all night. Our guests were raving about him. We had the best time! We are forever grateful for you, Danny!

Chassie, our Day-Of Coordinator, was incredibly kind and knowledgeable as she helped us nail down the final details in the weeks leading up to the event. On the day of the wedding, she was indispensable, making sure that all ran smoothly so that we could relax and enjoy the day. The DJ was excellent both during the ceremony with the processional music as well as during the reception, where there was a great variety of music that suited our style. We would highly recommend Astro Event Company.

DJ Danny Gray came highly recommended to us by many and choosing to go with him as our DJ was truly THE BEST decision we could have made. It is now 4 weeks after our wedding and everyone we talk to STILL talks about how awesome our DJ was. He took the time to get to know us, took pride in what he did, and truly made all efforts to have our vision for the day come to life (and not only behind the dj booth). He helped move chairs, he helped our photographer, florist, caterer, you name it… he was there to lend a helping hand. Our main/only request was to just do his thing and keep the dance floor going. And that he did… all night long! Danny was truly the MVP of the night. The night was so memorable and Danny deserves a ton of credit for that. You will not regret booking with Danny. He is simply THE BEST.

Roger was wonderful!!! We chatted on the phone a couple days before the wedding and he really made sure he understood our vision for our wedding night! People were on the dance floor the ENTIRE reception... it was never not crowded!! He was helpful in playing songs and stopping them at the specific points we wanted (for recessional, precessional, FoB and MoG dances) as well. Highly recommend him!!!!

The team at astro were absolutely amazing to work with. Our day of coordinator Chassie was super helpful, professional and easy to work with. She went above amd beyond to help make our wedding day truly the best day ever. Our dj Nick at Astro was also amazing. He made sure to play all of our music that made our ceremony run smoothly and read the room when it came to party time to make sur people stayed dancing. We had an absolute blast, and we are so thankful to have been able to choose Astro for our wedding day!!

Ok, let's just start out by saying we got married on the day Hurricane Ian struck VB. That did not stop the Astro team from making our big day the best night of our LIFE! Their professionalism, timeliness, attention to detail, and positive energy put everyone at ease! Pari was the best day-of coordinator a girl for ask for. She was on top of everything and made sure I did not have to lift a finger! So thoughtful, yet so chill! She set the perfect tone for the wedding! DJ Danny was THE MOST EPIC DJ EVER! We still have family and friends singing his praises! He helped pull off a surprise video toast from our buddy overseas, remembered our family's names throughout the evening, and kept the dance floor grooving until the end (which is huge because we do not come from dancing families!)... please do yourself a favor and book Astro. You will NOT be disappointed!! (Shout-outs also to Jeremy, Larry, Johnny, and Rachel!)

This review is for both our day-of coordinator (Sara) and our DJ (Richard Davis). We are very pleased with Astro Entertainment and the services they provided for our wedding. We booked a day-of coordinator, a DJ, and uplighting through the company. Richard was the life of the party! He was funny, enthusiastic, and professional. He was right on cue with all requested music and had everyone dancing the entire night. Sara was also very hard-working. Along with her assistant, she made sure everything was set up and taken down perfectly on our special day! She was very accommodating and easy to communicate with via email. The only thing was we just wish we would have gotten our wedding timeline slightly earlier than we did. Other than that, Astro was a great wedding vendor!

Wow we have to say that Astro was the best for entertainment during our wedding! We had DJ Richie Rich and he was definitely a fun DJ to have for our wedding as he was helping to get our guest dancing for the reception (yes he dances himself) and we were absolutely delighted with the overall service prior to the wedding working with Jeremy to get what we wanted for our wedding. Both my wife and I have lived in Virginia Beach for quite sometime and known of Astro for all major events and we were so impressed with how much they can take care of our wedding from lighting, to uplighting, to X mirror photo booth, to helping to plan everything out with proper song list and just overall taking the worry out of our big day! We highly recommend Astro and DJ Richie Rich for all weddings!

We were not assigned a DJ until the day before, and they did not contact us directly about anything at all. But Nick knew what he needed to do, and he was great about changing the songs based on how people were reacting. For example, there wasn't much dancing at first, but the last two hours EVERYONE was on the dance floor. That is a big deal considering how many of those people claim to have two left feet.

This is a review for both my coordinator (Pari) and DJ (Valente). The day went SO SO SMOOTH. Pari made sure everything was perfect, and set up beautifully. Everything she did made my life so much easier. She deserves every bit of praise!! And Valente was just amazing. I gave him the vibe I wanted for the music, and it was executed PERFECTLY. Everyone was on the dance floor the entire night and he hyped everyone up. I cannot say enough about them!!!

We hired Rodney through Astro Entertainment for our wedding on 4/16/22 and he was absolutely amazing! They were so easy to communicate with and very organized which helped make our wedding day effortless. Before the wedding we had the opportunity to meet with Rodney in person to go over our day and the type of music we liked. On the wedding day, he LITERALLY kept us on the dance floor all night long. No one wanted to leave! If you need a DJ look no further!

We cannot recommend Astro highly enough!! Pari was our incredible wedding Day-of-Coordinator and Valente was our outrageously amazing DJ! Pari was so incredible helpful from day one, but she kicked it into *high-gear* as soon as I passed along my (very-detailed) plans to her 30 days before the wedding. She totally got my vision and anticipated all the little things I would have never thought of. The major moment that she saved the day though was when our charter bus company that was taking everyone from the hotel in Virginia Beach to the Hermitage in Norfolk CANCELED 2 day before the wedding! She and the entire Astro team made it their mission to find us a bus company to replace them, even though everyone was booked. And magically - the DID! Not only did they find a better, nicer bus company, it was cheaper too than the original. I truly don’t know how they found it, but I can say they literally saved our wedding day! From there, when I say the wedding day went off without a hitch - I truly mean it. It was perfect. Pari made sure everything went off effortlessly and allowed the momentum to flow beautifully from a perfectly orchestrated romantic wedding ceremony through to a *rager* of a reception by the end of the night. We have so much to thank her for! 100 out of 10 :D Speaking of the rager of a reception - DJ VALENTE absolutely brought it. He perfectly timed the music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and *everyone* was talking about how great the DJ was! He was so personable, hilarious, and genuine, and he set the vibe perfectly at every point of the day. He also played every song we asked for that was important to us (and none of those we didnt!), and blended songs in between that went with that vibe while really getting people on the dance floor. We are so beyond grateful to Valente, Pari, and the whole Astro team. Our wedding truly would not have been the amazing day it was without them - for us and for every single one of our guests. Thank you times infinity Pari, Valente, & the whole Astro team!

Astro came highly recommended from both our wedding planner Amanda (Sincerely Jane) and venue (Gala 417) and they did not disappoint! We have a very eclectic taste in music and they made it flow beautifully. Astro takes playlists and makes it work. Very professional and great to work with.

I hired Astro for a month-of wedding coordinator (including day-of coordination and set up), DJ, café lights, wireless uplighting, and visual package for my wedding at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens. Astro, and specifically Sara Sanders, were so incredibly wonderful to work with. All of their services were phenomenal and it was so simple to work with a single company for everything. Coordinator: Sara - 11/10 would recommend. Sara was professional, responsive, organized, fun, and creative. My wedding was perfect, thanks to Sara. If anything went wrong during my wedding, I didn't know about it! DJ: Greg Chappell - Greg was incredible. He kept the party going all night until the very end. We had a mixed crowd of 20-30s and 50-60s age range and Greg played the perfect music to keep everyone dancing. He has the best MC voice too!

We went with Astro for our wedding after having several great experiences at other events and I am so glad that we did. Working with Danny leading up to the event was great - he was super responsive, flexible when we needed to postpone from 2020 to 2021 and very organized. For the event, Paul was a superstar- we had a lot of specific requests and he nailed every single one of them! And the dance floor was hopping all night long. I would absolutely recommend Astro overall and Paul specifically!

The photo booth and DJ were great! Our guests had a great time! They were very prepared and checked in on us monthly to make sure our wedding day ran as smoothly as possible!

DJ Larry was outstanding! Our guests would not leave the dance floor all night! He continued to play great songs and had a great mentality about keeping everything fun and upbeat, just like we wanted for our wedding night!

Astro Entertainment is the way to go when looking for friendly staff and a great DJ! Danny was great and so helpful throughout the whole planning process, especially when the pandemic caused us to postpone our wedding. And Valente was the best DJ we could have asked for! He was hilarious and had everyone up and dancing and gave us the party atmosphere we wanted for our reception! Highly recommended! We also used Astro for our photo booth and I’m so glad we did! The magic mirror was a major hit and everyone loved it! The photo booth attendant was really nice and the pictures come out great!

There was no doubt who we would call when we booked the DJ for my daughter’s wedding. Our family has worked with Astro for years – through birthday parties to Girl Scout events to school events. Their DJs are always professional and do an excellent job with managing music for a wide range of ages. Our favorite DJ is Richard Davis. He was the DJ for our daughter’s 13th birthday party, 8th grade class celebration, and her Sweet 16 celebration. She only wanted Richard for her wedding, and he did not disappoint. He kept the crowd dancing throughout the evening and helped to manage the crowd for the cake cutting, bouquet toss, etc. The photo booth wasn’t part of our original plan, but it turned into a fun part of the evening. Guests enjoyed taking photos and making videos. They walked away with a set of prints formatted specifically for the wedding and the newlyweds will receive all the photos and videos in the coming weeks. Dawson was professional and managed some individuals and groups with calm and grace. Chassie was our “Day Of” planner. She worked with us to manage details in the weeks leading up to the wedding. On the day of the wedding, she and Shay made sure vendors arrived on time; that they brought all the contracted items; and that they completed their set up. They also worked with the wedding party, the venue, and the photographer to keep the flow moving and the timeline in order. We weren’t sure about contracting for a planner in the beginning, but we are so glad we did. The peace of mind it provided allowed us to enjoy the day with the bride and groom and wedding party. We rented up-lighting, pipe and drape backdrops and acrylic easels for a reasonable cost that looked beautiful. The Astro management team worked with us through two postponements due to Covid. They were helpful and flexible as we tweaked our plans each time. Until next time!

Our DJ, Valente, kept the dance floor packed during our wedding! We submitted a playlist of songs we knew our guest would love, but he did a great job adding in more songs and keeping the energy up. Our guests after the wedding could not stop talking about how amazing our DJ was! I cannot recommend him enough!!

You will not make a mistake in hiring Valente from Astro as your wedding DJ! My husband is a big music guy and Valente totally catered to his music selections and let him be involved, but he also killed it at the reception! Getting everyone on the dance floor! We wanted a very short first dance - we hate attention -- and Valente promised to keep it short and cut it early. He was wonderful. Then after the daddy daughter dance, he did a wonderful really special dance that brought all the couples out to the floor- even people I didn't expect! It was all his doing! Valente included hilarious sound effects in my dad's never-ending speech to spice it up. He had everyone dancing all night! A big old dance circle of all ages!! Some priceless dance videos of my guests. Valente was one of the highlights of the evening with people asking me for his info after the wedding or telling us how amazing our DJ was. On top of it, he is just a wonderfully nice person! Thank you Valente and Astro!!!!

Astro was amazing. We used them for DJ Services, casino game tables, day-of planning, and lighting. Everything was awesome! Our guests loved the casino tables and it was great for anyone that didn't want to dance. The best part of all of Astro's services was the day-of planning. Sara was our planner and she made everything so stress free! She even bustled my dress and got my husband a drink when he forgot one for the toast. Everyone was on top of it for everything and I was so happy we went through Astro for all of our entertainment and planning.

When we asked our wedding coordinator for DJ recommendations, she recommended Astro Entertainment and told us that they were the best in the business. After working with Danny at Astro, we couldn’t agree more. Danny is professional, helpful, attentive to the details (e.g., he nailed all of the wedding party members' names), kind, and just really freaking good at his job. He had everyone dancing all night long, and our guests raved about him. It was our pleasure to work with Danny, and we highly recommend him to those looking for a DJ at their next event!

Astro Entertainment is beyond awesome! We had DJ Roger Cruz as our DJ for our wedding and he is THE MAN! He kept everyone on the dance floor! He made sure everyone had a blast. He played such great music and did such an amazing job announcing and keeping the crowd entertained at our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Roger is truly the best of the best and we highly recommend him! We also got the chance to talk to DJ Danny Gray a bit prior to the wedding to help with planning, lighting, etc. and he is amazing as well and made sure everything was all set up for our big day! Our uplighting was beautiful and we LOVED our GOBO light that was projected on the wall at our reception! Thank you so much Astro Entertainment for the amazing services!!

When searching for our wedding DJ we had MANY personal recommendations for Roger, “Rogers the best, “you gotta go with Roger!”, etc. After those, we looked at some of his reviews online and they were hard to believe they were real, every review saying he was the greatest DJ they’ve ever had, etc. It seemed a little over the top, but after so many positive sentiments, we figured we couldn’t go wrong despite never actually hearing him DJ. Roger was super accessible leading up to the wedding (we had a long meet and greet at a bridal expo before we booked him). He gave us an easy phone meeting 30 days out and even checked in on us a couple nights before the wedding! Roger has such an excellent energy. We always felt like he was so hype about our wedding even if he does/says that for everyone ! Needless to say he KILLED it on the wedding night. All mics and ceremony plans went off without a hitch, with him doing all the proper fading in and out as needed without even needing to discuss. As a professional with some much experience he just did the “things” without needing to be told or asked about it for the whole night to make the night flow. Then came reception and we had the BEST time of our lives. He took so many of the “play if possible” songs that we passed on the client portal and in our 30 day meeting to heart, and he played the exact vibe we were going for with a lot of songs that we didn’t even request or think of! He was so flexible in the best possible way to keep our guests on the dance floor, doing the little things like coordinating with the photographer and wedding coordinator (who confirmed with us) to push the cake cutting to the right and delay because the dance floor had gotten flooded right at the original time, and he knew it might have cut into the dancing flow so he played a little longer, it was perfect. His mash ups and mixes are spot on. We were EXTREMELY happy we hired Roger and couldn’t have asked for anything better, he lived up to every glowing review, and we literally cannot say good enough things about our experience with him and Astro.

Working with Astro has been a joy! We used both their DJ services and day of planning coordination. From hiring to the music list to working with Cory, the process was seamless. Sara was super helpful in answering all our questions and keeping us on track. Cory played everything that was asked for and kept our tough crowd out on the dance floor!

We used Astro for our day of coordinator as well as dj. Our day of Pari was AMAZING as was her assistant Rachel!!! Pari was way then there just day of, she was involved for the month prior to the wedding and took SO much off of my plate. She was able to ease my mind with the bad weather we ended up with and helped to create a tented atmosphere I would not have imagined. Rodney our DJ was AWESOME! He listened to exactly what we wanted and crushed it. Our guests never left the dance floor. He kept the party going. Sara in the office was also awesome, responsive and able to get us exactly what we needed for the day. Could not recommend Astro enough!

So thrilled with the music and entertainment at our wedding. Taylor in the office was responsive with emails during the planning. The online portal to enter our selections and details was easy to use. And DJ Taylor Haycox was so much fun and nailed everything we wanted. He played music for our ceremony and reception. He was friendly and made sure guests danced and had a great time. Thank you!

BOOK THEM! My husband is a big believed that the DJ makes the wedding, and it is so true! Roger kept the party going for our whole night. We gave him a list of songs we wanted. He played those, but was also able to feel the "vibe" or our guests and get people out on the dance floor. We had so many people come up to us and tell us how good our DJ was. If you are looking for a party atmosphere at your wedding, you need to hire Astro!

Upon asking for DJ recommendations, DJ Danny was the most recommended and also the most booked so we were extremely lucky and blessed to have been able to lock him in for our wedding!!! He was so fun, kind, and really cared about what we wanted music wise for our entire wedding! He knew the vibe of the cocktail hour, dinner and reception and played songs accordingly. He also kept us on track by taking control of our timeline and letting us know when to start toasts, cake cutting, etc. Danny was even better than I imagined and would recommend 10/10!!!

I used Astro entertainment for our DJ, wedding planner, lighting and wedding transportation. They do it all and they are great at it!! Our wedding planner, Shaw Greenwald was truly exceptional and a lifesaver. We hired her for day of wedding planning services and she made the day so much less stressful and took care of details I had not even thought of! Our DJ, Freddie, was so fun! He went over the playlist with us before the reception, took requests and had the guests dancing all night long! The up lights were a great touch for the dance floor and the transportation was on time, clean and safe. I really couldn't ask for a better team on my wedding day! I am so thankful and would highly recommend them!

We are very pleased that we picked Astro for our wedding. They were very professional and easy to work with. Our Dj Valente was amazing!!!! He kept everyone on the dance floor. I am from Congo, so we wanted to have African music on our wedding. Valente did a great job mixing the music so all the guests could stay on the dance floor. Sarah was great to work with as well. We had to reschedule our wedding three times and every time, she worked with us on the new date. I would definitely recommend Astro!!!

My wedding was cancelled due to COVID. They were the only vendor that did not refund my money. This is particularly disappointing because there is very clearly a clause in the contract which states acts of God (communicable diseases were explicitly mentioned) mean the contract is void and the deposit is returned. I would seriously think twice about doing business with a vendor who doesn't feel the need to fulfill their own contact.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DJ Valente from Astro Entertainment for your wedding day and all events for that matter. He initially DJ’d at my friend’s wedding which is where I first met him and from that night on, I knew I had to have him for our wedding. Valente is so fun and upbeat! He was able to put all my worries at ease as he was very confident and experienced in his skills which made for such a memorable night. He kept everyone dancing literally all night. He was able to read the crowd perfectly and play music off their vibes in combination with the songs I had requested. Both the older crowd and the younger crowd had a BLAST as the music truly appealed to everyone. Our wedding was in November and people are STILL talking about how great Valente was and how the music was just perfect. In addition to the music, Valente was so timely with making announcements/introductions and coordinating with our day of coordinator. He was very flexible and just made it work. He excelled with his ability to time the songs being played for special moments (bridal party walking down the aisle, bride walking down the aisle, bridal party introductions, bride and groom introductions, etc.) and faded out the music just perfectly when applicable. Valente even went above and beyond and volunteered to run and find my mom from another area so she wouldn’t miss our sparkler send off. Just a stand-up guy that my husband and I truly consider a friend for life! If I could give him 10 stars, I would!! He does not disappoint! Seriously, right now, go book Valente through Astro Entertainment!

I'm a little late in writing this review, as my wedding was in June 2019 - but my family is STILL talking about how great DJ Roger was! He totally keyed into the crowd and the dance floor was packed all night. Could not have asked for a better night.
