Atelier On The Hudson

My husband and I celebrated our wedding reception at Atelier Ballroom last weekend and we could not have been more thrilled with how the evening went. Andrew and the entire Atelier staff did a phenomenal job managing every detail of our event. I’ll provide more detail below but we absolutely recommend Atelier for weddings/events! The Space: From the moment we first toured the room, we were blown away by the view. The huge windows make the view of the Manhattan skyline crystal clear no matter where in the room your guests are seated. The outside terrace is spacious and made for memorable photos throughout the night. The unique light fixtures look so cool in photos, but we also recommend getting the additional lighting package for extra fun party vibes. The Food/Drinks: We’ve been getting nonstop compliments about the food from all our guests. We have some picky eaters on both sides of the family and everyone was raving about it. Passed cocktail hour hors d’oeuvres were delicious and our dinner came out piping hot. For dessert, the petit fours were so cute and yummy and we did our cake through Atelier and it was SO good - definitely recommend the cannoli cream. Top shelf liquor is included in the wedding open bar package and the drinks and bar staff were fantastic. The Staff: We cannot be more thankful to the whole Atelier staff who absolutely took the best care of our guests. We’re still getting comments about how thoughtful and efficient the waitstaff were. The Planning: Andrew was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the planning process. He made us excited for all the possibilities for our reception and is an efficient/timely communicator. He was able to answer every question we threw his way and went above and beyond to make sure we had the night of our lives.

Atelier is absolutely beautiful. Andrew was the most helpful person ever and he made our wedding run seamlessly. He was always quick to answer any questions we had and worked with us to create our perfect day. Highly recommend Atelier to all future couples.

Incredible experience from start to finnish. Andrew and his team were always responsive, extremely professional and created a truly memorable wedding. The venue has astonishing views and the cocktail hour food was plentiful, beautifully displayed and served. The dinner service was impeccable. I had full confidence that the evening would be perfect and it was. Andrew is a gem!!!

Andrew was a fantastic maître d! Although he is straight & curt in his emails, he was very warm & hospitable in person. He is on point & managed our wedding event very well overseeing many small details that we had no time for. He made wonderful suggestions, assisted us with many things, kept us on track & was always there when we needed him. It was reassuring to have him with us which took away much stress during the event. The space itself is fabulous, the food great, views are amazing, staff nice. Definitely a most memorable event!

I had my wedding ceremony and reception at The Atelier Ballroom in October and couldn’t be happier! The view of the city is absolutely stunning - from sunset to glittering lights, it did not disappoint. The outdoor terrace was a big hit with our guests all through the night. The ballroom itself is spacious and beautiful as well, and the staff did a great job transitioning seamlessly from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception (with delicious food served along the way - not always a given with wedding venues!). Andrew was very communicative throughout the planning process and had impeccable attention to detail during the event. The Atelier Ballroom was perfect - I highly recommend it!

We held my daughter's bat mitzvah at the Atelier Ballroom. The location is perfect - right on the water with a great outdoor patio overlooking the Hudson and NYC. Food options were excellent and is much better than standard hotel buffets. Service was excellent and Andrew was very helpful in making sure the event ran smoothly.

I recently celebrated my wedding ceremony and reception at Atelier Ballroom and the night surpassed all of my hopes and dreams! Andrew was very communicative for about a year planning period. He provided helpful suggestions throughout and with how well the night flowed I knew he put a lot of time into prepping staff. The night of the wedding he checked on me multiple times and we had to make a last minute call to move indoors and his team did that with ease. Note to mention, one of the staff members danced with my husband’s grandmother at one point, I thought that was so thoughtful and adorable. Our family and friends are still raving about the quality of the food, the spectacular view, the kind and helpful staff. If I could plan this wedding again I would go with Atelier a million times over. Everything was wonderful!

Andrew and his team helped me plan a multi birthday celebration and reunion for my family this year. My family was in heaven. The staff was fantastic, the food was soooo delicious, the view is incredible. I would recommend this venue and this team of people to anyone. The food was so good that members of my family who had never been there before said they would come back for dinner! Make sure you plan way ahead! This place will book up fast!

We could not be more grateful for Andrew and the entire Atelier staff for helping us have a BEAUTIFUL wedding- Andrew is so responsive and was in close communication from the time we booked the venue through the end of the reception, and he was so accommodating. Hudson & Co. is one of the best Jersey City restaurants, and the food was divine, but more importantly, the staff was endlessly attentive and friendly- they really went above and beyond. I 100% recommend Atelier Ballroom!

Wow where do I begin! I had my wedding there on September 3 2022. First off , you’ll never find a better view of the skyline of NYC from any other venue. We toured many other venues and the Atelier was by far the most beautiful. We also had private access to the outdoor patio for our entire event. The food was delicious and exceeded my expectations. We’ve all been to weddings where the food is just OK, but definitely not here, it was 5 stars all the way. Andrew the maitre D, was absolutely the best! He responds to emails faster than anyone I’ve ever met! Any questions or concerns I had were met by Andrews very prompt and clear answers. He directed the day perfectly and truly helped make my wedding day even more special. With a sincere heart I cannot thank Andrew and the atelier staff enough! If anyone is planning a wedding or private party , I would highly recommend the Atelier!

My wife and I had our wedding at the Atelier Ballroom and it was a fantastic night! Andrew was helpful and professional from the moment we booked the venue up until the end of our party. Andrew knows all the details and can envision a perfect night so you and your guests can enjoy such a memorable night. Had my wedding reception at The Atelier Ballroom and it was an unforgettable experience! We booked this venue over 1.5 years ago and Andrew kept communication open through the entire process. He and his team setup the venue meticulously and handled every minor detail with so much attention and care. I did not have a single worry about reception on my wedding day and everything was absolutely beautiful. I cannot rave enough about Andrew and the space!

Hosted our corporate event here and not only was the view of the NYC skyline absolutely beautiful, but the staff's attention to detail and their attentiveness was what made our event such a success. We had our engagement party here and it was incredible! Andrew was amazing to work with and maintained good communication throughout the whole planning process. The night of the party everyone raved about the food and how much fun they had. Everything was perfect on top of the beautiful place and location!

Best first birthday party ever for my little princess, thanks to the whole staff and thanks to Andrew for planing everything to the perfection. Highly recommended.

Andrew is very rude and unprofessional. I reached out to them via email and received a call back. I was starting to discuss the wedding details and he wanted to hang up the phone because apparently he has an appointment with another potential customer and asked me to email. Maybe don’t call people, when you have other appointments. Didn’t even try to listen what I wanted or tried to setup an appointment. Please stay away from this place!

Andrew and his team were the most thorough, attentive, and amazing people to work with. They helped me have the most memorable 30th birthday. My friends and family raved about the service, food, and drinks. They were amazing. 10/10 would recommend for any event!!!

Hosted a Bridal Shower at the Atelier and it was absolutely perfect! The director Andrew and the staff were very easy to work with and were exceptionally kind to making this event a success and special for the bride to be. The food and the bar was wonderful! The venue as well as the location is very beautiful, especially with the city views which all the guests took advantage of when it came to taking pictures. I do hope on booking Atelier again for future events.

I had my wedding at the Atelier and it was perfect! I had no idea on how to plan anything when it came to cakes, food, ceremony details, etc. Andrew the director, helped me figure all these things out and gave me beautiful ideas when I was totally clueless. He was super quick to answer all my questions and on the day of, he helped coordinate everything and made sure everything was just perfect. The location is absolutely beautiful with the river and the skyline in the background, my guests couldn't get enough of the view and it made it perfect for stunning pictures. To be honest, I didn't really need to decorate the place because it is already so pretty on its own! I highly recommend the Atelier and of course Andrew who will make your day really really special!

I have used Atelier several times to host a few cocktail parties. I love the extra bonus of having the terrace with the ballroom. Andrew and the staff were AMAZING! The chef even came out to ensure the stations looked good, in my eyes they were to perfection. This place is a hidden golden gem.

We just hosted a rehearsal dinner for our first grandchild, the view at this event space is spectacular! Great menu choices, I was happy they were willing to customize the menu I had interest in. The Staff was extremely professional, Andrew is fantastic with replying quickly on emails and offers excellent customer service. We had such a great time!

The Atellier is spectacular! Recently I celebrated my daughter’s sweet 16 at the ballroom. Perfect place to celebrate this special day. The staircase was so beautiful for my daughters official entrance. The food was on point, the dance floor was the perfect size and facing the city. My daughter’s friends and our family were very impressed.

This place was fantastic. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bartender was consistant and the food was delicious. Im so glad we took a chance after having read a few reviews. They must have had a bad day because it was nothing but great! Thanks for an awesome time guys!

This place provides THE WORST customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. I’ve booked many events at high end banquet halls in NJ and never have I had an experience like I had while trying to book an event at Atelier Ballroom. Let me start by saying it should have been a red flag that every Saturday I inquired about on short notice (in the prime months of April & May) were all available. For starters, the event coordinator I worked with, Chelsi, was extremely unresponsive to my emails. Every time I had an inquiry, she’d say she’d get back to me with an answer, and I wouldn’t hear back from her. I’d literary have to send an email (which I rarely received a response from) then call to track her down. I felt like I was chasing her to give her my money. On top of that, the menu items they offer for the price of $140 per person is pitiful. Tater tots, pub fries, pizza, buffalo wings, spinach and artichoke dip.. I’m sorry, is this a sports bar or an upscale catering facility? They also tried to tell me they would provide me with 6 pizzas (8 slices per) for 125 guests!! I couldn’t believe my ears. Were more than half my guests supposed to just not have food to eat?! Last I heard from Chelsi, she was supposed to get back to me about different menu options. It’s been a week and I haven’t heard a thing. Well guess what? I took my business elsewhere! Oh, and by the way, they don’t have free parking for guests, and they don’t validate at the garage nearby, so that’s another expense you’re left having to foot the bill for.

We had a company cocktail reception at the Atelier Ballroom. Everything was Wonderful! The food, the staff, the views! The feedback from both clients and our internal folks was all Positive. Everyone loved everything. Paul and Michele helped ensure that our event went just perfectly. Thank you. We will be back.

I had a party in the summer 250 total. EVERYTHING was amazing staff, food, service, venue and that view!!!! I highly recommend Atelier for any type of special event.
