I am not a flower expert, yet she knew exactly what I was looking for and put it together perfectly. The mockup was amazing, and yet the day of was even more beautiful than we imagined! t the same time we wanted florals that made a nod to tradition. We were having a Hindu marriage ceremony which required a Mandap (four pillar structure) with florals and fabric decorating it. Our venue had a large statement wall where we wanted a foraged, nature-inspired, autumn-themed art installation, and with an eye towards conservation, we wanted to reuse florals from one even to another. Shuheng is just an incredibly talented, caring, attentive person who as a vendor embodies all these qualities as well. She listened closely to all we had to say and then put together a vision book for us with a prospectus and a vision board incorporating colors, specific florals, leaves, branches and trees in different moments that would coordinate with the seasonal outdoor venue. It was really impressive. As the day approached, she put together an in-person staging for us to better visualize the colors, fabrics, florals and light (we used a lot of glowy candles) together in one space. It was beautiful, but nothing compared to the day-of. The mandap looked like something out of a magical or mythical story. The natural beauty of the setting was never diminished by decor, but complemented and amplified. Shuheng decorated the Mandap so that light would come through in dappled pools, and allowed for the fabric the blow in the breeze - she created movement, not just a structure frozen for the pictures. The look and feel of your wedding is undoubtedly critical - working with Shuheng to create our event’s not just look, but feel, was the best decision we made.

ptured the vibe we were going for (romantic, lush, dreamy elegance) in everything she created, from the gorgeous bouquets, boutonnière, corsages and flower crown, to the exquisitely decorated chuppah and striking aisle arrangements for the ceremony, to the bud vase arrangements and votive candles at cocktail hour, to the larger centerpieces and taper candles at the reception. She created some dreamy lush green moments with the greenery wrapped around the staircase and on the entryway mirror. She also decorated our wedding cake beautifully with flowers and provided the perfect flowers for my photographer for the flat lay shots. Truly, everything was just picture perfect. Shuheng is not only a floral genius, she is also an exceptionally lovely person. She made suggestions in a thoughtful way, working with us patiently to help us refine our vision down to the smallest detail. Perhaps most helpful of all, she created a “mockup” of many of the arrangements in her studio a few months before the wedding! Shuheng’s artistry and professionalism are unparalleled. The Athabold team was also able to pickup candles we wanted for the decor to compliment the arrangements we had asked for, which made our own transporting of wedding favors and last minute items that much easier. The team had no hiccups setting up and breaking down. We did this without a wedding planner, so I can't believe how effortless this was. It goes without saying the arrangements and flowers themselves were absolutely stunning. Muted tones to compliment the already green landscape was a nice accent to the day - nothing too loud but the detail and design was nothing short of amazing.

I loved how she had a walk through appointment in her studio before the big day so we could make any necessary adjustments. Although, she nailed it on the head and there was not much to change!! Everything was done tastefully and in the color scheme and style we liked! We especially appreciated the sample design session a couple months before the wedding where we visited Shuheng at the Athabold office to review the sample flower arrangements and designs she had put together. She took copious notes on all the feedback we gave and the end result was exactly what we discussed. As a bonus we got to take home some of the flowers she created! She was incredibly easy to work with and really understood our vision and direction of the flower palette and overall aesthetic of our wedding. Highly recommend going with Athabold for your floral and wedding design! You will not regret it!

We had one organizational hiccup - we used their chuppah and had agreed that Athabold would provide a cloth to act as our tallit, which somehow didn't make it to the venue. We used a scarf I had brought with me instead, which worked out just fine as long as you didn't look too closely! We had them make flower bracelets for the women in my family instead of bouquets, since we didn't have a wedding party, and they were beautiful arrangements of dried flowers. Unfortunately a few started to come apart partway through the event, but perhaps just because we all danced so hard??

While many other florists I reached out to had high minimums that wouldn’t work for my small sized event, I was met with Shuheng who was gracious and sweet and welcoming to me even though I didn’t need florals for a large wedding. As a client she made me feel important and just as much of a priority as if I was ordering florals for a 100+ person event. After a brief phone call I knew that Shuheng understood my vision. She sent over a mood board and I immediately booked her. Shuheng and I communicated via email back and forth (she is so patient) for many months and met in person for a design meeting, which was so helpful. Again, the fact that this is even offered as part of the package is incredible! I was hoping my florals would be romantic, whimsical, textured and wanted my dinner tables to feel like a fantastic garden party. The florals were everything I could have hoped for and more. They were gorgeous. Shuheng even tossed in some surprises with a couple of flowers that I had mentioned liking in passing but didn’t know would be in the arrangements. And to top it all off, since my wedding took place at an Airbnb not far from Athabold’s shop, Shuheng allowed me to keep my arrangements for 3 days after the wedding to enjoy them as long as possible. I was meant to drop off the vessels at her shop but she ended up sending someone from her team to come pick them up from me. Just amazing customer service all around and such beautiful flowers. They really helped bring my wedding to life and I’m so grateful I found Shuheng and Athabold!

I also loved that she worked with a variety of flowers and color tones. Her portfolio is extremely diverse! When Shuheng and I initially spoke about the floral design for the wedding day, I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted. I showed her a picture of a bouquet that I had found on pinterest, and it essentially became the jumping off point for the design. Over the next several months, we must have spoken four to five times, once including an in-person visit to her studio where she showed me two centerpiece mock-ups (they were gorgeous!!). As the design continued to evolve, Shuheng was so patient and understanding, and she always gave me her honest feedback. In the end, we landed on a whimsical, garden-inspired design with rich fall tones to complement our mid-November wedding date. We also added fun textural elements throughout the space to balance out the design, while not overwhelming the gorgeous industrial venue. On the day of the wedding, I was absolutely blow away! I knew everything was going to be beautiful, but it was so much more than I ever could have imagined. Believe me when I say this – Athabold Flowers is the absolute best! get. We did a mockup meeting a few weeks before our wedding which was great and gave us a chance to see the actual flowers she was planning on using and make adjustments. Shuheng was super helpful and worked with us to make some tweaks to ensure our flowers were perfect. Shuheng was also able to deliver a wide arrange of looks for our day – from gorgeous bouqets to a variety of centerpieces ranging from candles and greenery to stunning arrangements to high “tree” arrangements to deliver the look we were after. Shuheng also proactively worked with the venue to come up with a rain plan given the weather forecast was not looking good on our wedding day. Everything ended up being fine but it was comforting to know there was a plan and that we were in safe hands at what was a pretty stressful time.

This made it so easy to make sure I was staying within my budget. She also is incredibly responsive and has the patience of a saint (I changed my mind many times!).
