During the planning process, we were impressed by the staff's professionalism and their attention to detail. They were quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had, making us feel at ease throughout the entire journey. This made such a difference for us as we navigated the complexities of organizing a wedding. They also recommended a lot of good vendors for us. While there were some areas where improvements could be made, such as parking for vendors, the overall experience at the Atlantic Sands Hotel was fantastic. The ease of coordinating with them and the beautiful final setup far outweighed any minor hiccups we encountered. In addition, their food are fantastic and the open bar was great. In conclusion, we are so grateful to the Atlantic Sands Hotel for playing a significant role in making our special day unforgettable. From the stunning decorations to the pleasant interactions with the staff, we couldn't have asked for a better venue for our wedding celebration.

nue itself being lovely. We also planned a Bachelor/Bachelorette party the evening before the wedding, using one of the Sands' meeting rooms. Our first event coordinator (Joe) let us know that they had a basic set up for the tables and we could choose linen colors. Otherwise we could decorate the tables ourselves however we chose. There would be no menu tasting due to the small size of our wedding. We were offered a 10% discount on food/beverages for choosing a Sunday evening date, which we did. Out next event coordinator, Mercedes, (Joe was fired or quit?) was great. She was clearly working to elevate the Sands' wedding services. Her planning was more inclusive and our pricing (we had signed a contract and placed a deposit) was honored. We were provided with additional choices for decor and invited for a menu tasting which was wonderful. Mercedes was very responsive and detail oriented, which made me feel much more comfortable and confident with the Sands. Two weeks prior to our wedding date, Mercedes was fired and Megan took over as the event coordinator. Fortunately she had access to all the details, notes, and emails from the previous months of planning. Needless to say, my fiance and I were were upset and felt very uneasy. Megan and her staff worked very hard to show us that they were on top of things and that out party and reception would be wonderful. Aside from a couple minor hiccups, both events were absolutely fabulous. My biggest disappointment aside from going through 3 event coordinators, was the fact that the drone footage of our wedding ceremony was never provided to us despite my reaching out by email and text to Megan (maybe she quit or was fired as well???) nor was our money refunded for that particular service.

venue to anyone looking for the full beach wedding experience! Also, having everything in one place meant we did not need to worry about anyone driving back to their hotels or need to offer any transportation. We only had one issue which was another wedding being on our weekend (theirs was 10/1/21) which really clogged up the room availability for our guests. The hotel had to add more rooms to our block but some people still ended up having to stay off-site. Joe was fantastic to work with and he really made sure that I had everything I wanted (and my husband, too!) and really took care of us throughout the planning process.

did the most fantastic job as our wedding coordinator; he was sociable, patient, responsive, accommodating, and extremely professional. The bridal suite had a beautiful oceanfront view, a jacuzzi, and plenty of space. My husband and I were offered our own private cocktail hour to unwind after the ceremony. We can't recommend this venue enough!

the center pieces and decorations for us. For the ceremony they provided a station for guests to leave their shoes and bush off their feet, apply sun screen and gave bottled water. I could not have asked for a more beautiful and perfect venue. Joe and Mercedes are amazing at what they do. I still have guests talking to me about the food. Everyone loved it. We will be having future events here.

I am so glad I got married at Atlantic Sands! EVERYTHING was perfect. Joe, Mercedes, and the entire team were phenomenal. Joe really made the entire process seamless & was genuine....

We did our tasting on my in-laws 30th anniversary and Joe had a complimentary bottle of champagne and a handwritten note sent to their room. I love that it is all inclusive. They have a huge variety of decorations to choose from so you barely have to think of anything. The whole staff was friendly and accommodating. We loved the ocean front bridal suite- it was perfect for getting ready. I am just so happy with the ceremony set up and the reception! We were a bit behind schedule but one of the waitresses took time to calm my nerves and make sure we had a tray of appetizers on our table when we arrived from pictures. All my guests enjoyed their rooms, the pool, and raved about the reception. From the rehearsal dinner to the sparkler exit, Atlantic Sands made my wedding day dreams come true! I do not have my professional pictures back yet but here are some that were taken by friends/family. The food was delicious, the views are gorgeous, and Joe made the whole process so easy. I highly recommend Atlantic Sands for your wedding venue.

e moment we met Mr. McDonald (Joe) we knew we would be in great hands. We did a destination wedding to our favorite beach town with a total attending guest list of about 65 people. Joe and his staff answered literally dozens of emails with questions, recommendations, and assistance. They never once made me feel like an imposition. They had things we could be loaned to help fill out our decor and helped make our vision perfect. The week of the wedding we met with the whole team to go over final details. When we found out that the weather was not going to cooperate, they helped move our welcome party for our guests into the Grille where our rehearsal took place. They also helped move the wedding into the ballroom which turned out to be even better than we could have thought. They let us in early to set up the wedding and took care of so much. They made us feel like we were their only wedding even though they had three in that weekend. Even after the wedding they continued to make us feel like we were special. I really can't thank them enough. If you are looking for a venue that will maintain communication, help guide you through the questions and process, and provide an absolutely wonderful experience...please contact The Atlantic Sands. Joe, Megan, and Mercedes have our absolute thanks for making our dream reality.

right fit. Joe and his team made us feel welcome and answered each and every single one of our questions and requests (trust me there were a lot of both) throughout the year. The venue is pretty. It's spacious. It's accommodating. Everything is right there. The food was outstanding. The drink line-up was lenghty. The backdrop was beautiful. Talking to outside vendors we hired for various things, most of them all said they love dealing with the people at Atlantic Sands ... and we understand why. Joe and staff made us feel like family. They are the type of people you would invite to your wedding. Your magical day is going to be a special one no matter what; but the right partner, the right audience and the right venue can make it extra special.

cor on the day of and give you many suggestions prior to the day. Joe also was there with us at the rehearsal, wedding and ceremony. He came and got us from our rooms every time and prepped us for what was to happen. My wife and I were so happy with him. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! 😊😍

decorate the ballroom on Friday and clean up on Sunday which helped make Saturday stress free. All of our guests had an amazing time as well and everyone raved about the food. We chose the plated option and had salmon or short ribs. Our honeymoon suite was absolutely wonderful! ption. However, the planning process could have gone much smoother. For example, when my Mom, MOH and I showed up for our scheduled tasting day the Food and Beverage director informed us that the Chef was off that day. Unacceptable. Especially since I live in Louisiana and don't travel to my hometown to Delaware very often. Our event was passed through many different coordinators and I never really knew who my main point of contact was. I also heard complaints from some of my friends that the front desk was rude when they tried to make their reservations. The hors ‘oeuvres were fantastic and the staff brought an assorted tray with champagne for the bridal party to enjoy in the bridal suite during the cocktail hour. The food was pretty good- the vegetable side was a little boring and bland. A big perk was that management comped my room (the bridal suite) for the entire week I stayed there which was really nice! And I believe all of our guests were able to get the very reasonable block rate.
