Atlas the Band

If you are looking for a wedding band I HIGHLY recommend Atlas!! We interviewed many bands and DJs in CNY and after watching Atlas' youtube videos we decided to go with them and it was one of the best decisions we made regarding our wedding. Firstly, John and the whole band were so amazing to work with leading up to and during the wedding. They helped us plan out the flow of events during the reception and made sure the set list matched our vibe. They had a wide range of song types, era, genres they could play and we also were able to play some more modern "DJ'ed music during their breaks so it was a great mix. Working with John leading up to the wedding made us 100% confident that everything would be great. During the wedding itself, it's really hard to describe how awesome the band was! The whole band is incredibly talented, and they knew exactly what to play to get everyone on the dance floor. The vibe was SO MUCH FUN and everyone was on the dance floor the entire time. They were also super engaging with the crowd, singing with our guests and joining the dance floor at times. We all danced and sang the literally the entire time they were on. I can genuinely say that having Atlas play was the #1 factor in how fun our wedding was. We had SO many people come up to us during/after the wedding saying it was the most fun wedding they've ever been to (I think in great part thanks to Atlas) and asking where on earth did we find such an amazing band!! Everyone was seriously so blown away by Atlas and could NOT stop talking about how great they were and how fun the dance floor was. In my opinion, flowers, elaborate decorations, cute favors, etc are NOT what makes a wedding memorable. In a few weeks/months/years no one (bride and groom included) will remember those details BUT they will remember how much fun they had and how they felt. If you're considering a DJ vs a Band vs other ways to allocate your wedding budget, I HIGHLY recommend putting your money toward Atlas if you can get them, because you will be guaranteed to have a fun and memorable wedding! If you're deciding between bands, check out their youtube and reviews, and take it from me as someone who did hours of research every band/DJ in CNY, they really are the best :)

Atlas surpassed all of our wildest expectations. First of all, they were extremely professional in coordinating with us. John was always courteous and clearly wanted the day to live up to all of our expectations. Atlas’s keyboardist performed for our ceremony and he was terrific. The band may focus more on R&B, pop, and the like, but he was just as comfortable performing classical piano for our ceremony. We were so happy with his contribution to the event. As far as the main event, we had watched videos of Atlas prior to hiring them, but they blew us away. From Michael Jackson to Dua Lipa to Chicago, they nailed every song that they played, and our guests could not believe how amazing they were. 6 months later, the first thing everyone says when mentioning our wedding is that they’ve never been to a wedding with a better band. They kept everyone on the dance floor all night and truly made it the perfect night for us. Even beyond their talent musically, they were extremely professional and went above and beyond with the little things. When we were struggling to decide whether to do our ceremony indoors or outside due to weather, they were patient and worked with us. They also did longer sets than they needed to do to keep the party going when things got delayed. We could not recommend Atlas more highly. They’re so good that we’ll be trying to see them live again next time we’re back in the Finger Lakes. Definitely make them a part of your perfect day!

John was amazing to work with leading up to his wedding, even with a last minute request to add a piano player during our ceremony. When the band showed up to play, they were truly amazing. People are still talking about how great they are.

Can't say enough about these guys. Pre-wedding communication was great, put us at ease right away. They were the highlight of the wedding night - if you love good music and you're even a little bit on the fence about a band versus a DJ, just look them up and pull the trigger, you won't regret it.

Seamlessly communicated with us, set up on time, and absolutely blew us away with the talented ensemble of band members. Our family and friends are still raving about them and so are we. Must have/see band for your event!

Atlas played for our daughter's wedding reception and everyone, including the staff at the establishment, absolutely loved the band's energy and performance! We had so much fun! Atlas is truly a professional and outstanding musical experience. The members are interactive with the audience and quite the crowd pleasers! We've followed the band for many years and immediately sought them out as our must have for the wedding reception! If you can book Atlas, do it! They will not disappoint!

We were so happy to have Altas for our wedding reception. They are a top notch band. They had absolutely everyone on the dance-floor all night long. We couldn’t have asked for a better reception and that had a lot to do with Atlas!!!

Atlas is such a freaking blast. They are a band that have been around for years and they truly know how to start a party and keep it going. Their song list is mostly funk/boogie/oldies but they play a fair amount of current and popular songs as well (we preferred typical, older wedding classics to modern things anyway). Their energy is unmatchable and you can tell that they have such an incredible time playing together and love what they do. Every guest who has commented on our wedding has told us how amazing our band was and my coworkers all want to hire them for a company event. People who I’ve never seen dance at other weddings were jamming so hard at ours. We asked Atlas the week before the wedding if they happened to know a song that my dad and I were dancing to, because we thought it would be great for them to play certain parts of it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t something on their set list… but the day of, they joined in the exact part I had dreamed of and played along to amp up the vibe (mine and my dad’s goal was to get everyone to join in dancing and Atlas understood the assignment!!). It was so fun and perfect. I simultaneously cry and bop along to the music in any cell phone video recordings because they’re just so dang good. They also last minute jumped in to help us with our ceremony sound because we never realized our venue wasn’t taking care of that! John and the rest of the band were very chill and easy to work with. The only feedback we’d give them is to just lay out a timeline of when the couple should be contacting them or reaching out to plan. We didn’t know what to expect so when the rest of our vendors were contacting us 1-2 months before the wedding, we were worried when we weren’t hearing from Atlas (there were a few times the response time could have been better, but we knew Atlas knew exactly what they were doing, so we weren’t too worried). Would 100% recommend Atlas to anyone and I so so hope we get to attend another wedding or event that they’re playing at!

Atlas was our wedding band in 2015 and I have to say our guests are STILL talking about it. They got people up and dancing right away until the very end of the night. We were so pleased with their performance - as well as how easy they were to book and work with - that I hired them for an event for work in 2022. People at the event remembered how fun they were at their own weddings and had such a great time, we've booked them for next year's event already!

If you want to WOW your guests with first rate entertainment hire ATLAS!!! They are a non-stop, high energy band with incredible vocals and precision moves! I recently hired them for a very important occasion and EVERYONE (all ages) loved the show! Do yourself and your guests a favor! This is one choice that is guaranteed to please!

Atlas was amazing at our anniversary party. They kept everyone on the dance floor the whole night. Afterwards, many people asked who they were and where they were from because they had never heard a band that good. If you want to have a great time and get thee party dancing them!

Booking the Atlas Band was the greatest decision we made for our wedding. They were all anyone could talk about all night. The energy that a live band brings to the venue is unmatched. The music was fantastic and the dance floor was filled all night. I would book this band for anything and everything. They were so nice and accommodated anything we wanted throughout the night. This band went above and beyond on our wedding night to make it so amazing for us and all of our guests. We heard "Your band was so amazing" probably 50 times! We would pick them again and again if we had to. We have friends weddings in Skaneateles that are using them as well. THANK YOU ATLAS!

THE BEST NIGHT EVER THANKS TO ATLAS! If you are considering having a live band at your wedding you can stop looking and contact Atlas. We had Atlas perform at our wedding and they absolutely blew the roof off the place. The dance floor was packed from start to finish. They have an incredible energy on stage, sound amazing, and got everyone shaking their booties. Lol it was so good that when they finished their last song people started chanting for an encore and they delivered! We still have people to this day tell us how incredible the band was and how much fun they had that night. When looking into the entertainment we were considering a DJ at 1st. We both had been to a couple weddings with live music and those ones were always a step above the others. We were worried it was going to be too much additional stuff to plan and a hit to our budget. Atlas was very reasonably priced for everything they provide and was beyond worth it. Communication was great, they were in contact with us every step of the way from the initial quote conversations to after the wedding. We were able to provide a list of songs we wanted to hear played and I believe they knew everyone. They were very responsive and receptive to input on how we wanted the timeline to flow, so we had little to no stress on this portion of the wedding. Wedding party introductions, speeches, dances, etc.. all went off without a hitch. If you are considering live music do yourself a favor and at least reach out to them and see where it goes. If you are on the fence between a DJ or live music I encourage you to go with Atlas if you have it in your budget. Having them perform made for a memorable night for everyone. I have had the pleasure of working with ATLAS for years as we are both technically in the wedding business, but I never could appreciate what they "do" until I hired them for my daughter's wedding at the Aurora Inn. We had to postpone the original wedding date due to COVID and John and I stayed in relative contact during that uncertain year. He was so comforting and promised me they would be there no matter what date my daughter chose. Another date we set and the wedding was moving forward. My daughter is very particular and picky, so she had a long list of requests for the band. Music was one of the most important elements of her wedding and ATLAS outdid themselves on every level. She wanted to walk down the aisle to September but wanted the "live" version to be played by Atlas's horn section. John was so accommodating to her every wish. The band arrived early, they were dressed very professionally, they checked with us repeatedly during the pre-ceremony preparations, and the processional was incredible. All of our guests were dancing as we walked our daughter down the aisle. The tone for the entire evening was set. Atlas also played during the cocktail hour. It brought so much elegance and energy, even before the reception started. As usual, Atlas delivered an incredible product! My experience with them as a vendor for over 25 years has always been incredible, but playing for my daughter's wedding was extra special. It was a smaller affair, (90 people) but the dance floor was packed the entire night. They updated their playlist, had incredible energy, sounded magnificent, and kept the party going. Our guests did not want the party to stop, yelling "one more song, one more song." Atlas made it a night to remember. I have always been an advocate for live music as they bring so much more to a party, and ATLAS is that band that takes it to another level. The professionalism, the accommodating service, the quality of sound, (equipment and musicians) and the energy of the band is off the charts. After seeing Atlas at several local festivals I knew I wanted them at my wedding. And they rocked beyond expectations! Every single guest was on the dance floor, and many of them told me it was the most fun wedding they’ve ever been to. Atlas also performed live music during my ceremony and played recordings during the cocktail hour. I didn’t have to worry about a thing besides providing my must-play songs, they handled everything else and it was perfect. If you are getting married in the Buff/Roch/Syr area and have a crowd that likes to party, you MUST check Atlas out.

We were so fortunate to acquire Atlas as our music entertainment for our daughter and son in law’s wedding. Very professional and talented group of musicians that added an added dimension to the wedding! This group will not disappoint and their cost was very reasonable as to the talent and services they provided us on our special celebration! … DJ included in-between sets too!!

We hired Atlas to perform at our wedding and they exceeded all expectations. We could not recommend them enough. They created an incredible environment for us and our guests and made for an unforgettable night.

When we first got engaged, and were planning our wedding our first thought was "we can't pick a date until we know if Atlas is available." They bring the party to the wedding. We begged our venue to let them stay longer because everyone was truly LOVING it. They engage with the crowd, they play music you can dance to, and you don't feel like you are at a prom! I wish we could do it all over just to have Atlas again. Simply the best.

My biggest piece of wedding advice to any couple is, hire a band!!! Better yet, hire a GREAT band! Atlas is the very best investment we made! They are talented beyond words and you will not have a wedding guest in their seat the minute they start to play. Not only are they talented but they are so kind, and accommodating. My wedding guests are still talking about how awesome they were! If you are low on a budget, find other areas to cut down on - flowers, decor, guest list! We had 68 guests and it was beyond perfect! BOOK ATLAS!

This band is AMAZING!!! Atlas ROCKED our wedding! They played at my sister’s wedding in 2019 and they CRUSHED it. I knew then that this is the band I had to have at my wedding. When we started planning, we immediately contacted them and scheduled our date around their availability. John was so helpful and had great advice while we were putting details together. As a result, the reception was flawless. These incredible musicians were extremely interactive with our guests and had EVERYONE dancing from start to finish. As excited as we were, they took it to a level we didn't think was possible. We're both musicians and to this day, our colleagues are still commenting on how great our band was. Atlas was punctual, professional, and great people hang out with. We cannot recommend Atlas enough. If you have a chance to book them, do it. You won’t regret it!

Wow! Atlas-Atlas-Atlas! We saw them at another wedding in 2018 in Syracuse and were blown away. When I reached out and booked them for our wedding, I knew we made the right choice. John made the planning process fun and had great recommendations to help us out. This band was everything I had hoped for and more when it came to playing the music for my big day. Our dance floor was PACKED the entire night! I’m still getting comments about how great the band was from our guests. It was what I had always dreamed of. Amazing party. Don't be a fool, book this band for your wedding!!!!

Wow!! Honestly the best band and a great value! I was a bit hesitant to book a band where I wouldn’t be able to see them play in advance (wedding was in Buffalo, we live in NYC), but I have friends in Buffalo that have seen ATLAS at other weddings and they were highly recommended. When our wedding arrived, they absolutely killed it! My only regret is not getting a bigger dancefloor. Everyone danced from start to finish because the band was incredibly talented, interacted with our guests, and maintained an incredible energy level all night long! Book them now :)

Atlas is amazing, they totally made our wedding. They were easy to work with all following up to the wedding. They play a variety of songs that everyone enjoys. I would highly recommend this band for your big day!

We had Atlas play our wedding reception! They really got the crowd moving! They are a performance band, that dance and even join the crowd with their instruments! When I think of them, I remember the line of singers dancing and spinning with their mic stands. The staff at our reception were excited that they were playing, especially since we were one of the first weddings of the spring/summer season. They play oldies but goodies, with some new stuff mixed in; which is good for a diverse crowd that you would have for a wedding. They were great to work with and accommodated our requests.

We've heard Atlas play a number of times and I wouldn't have had anyone else play at my wedding. Not only do they have a fantastic group of performers, but the music is to die for. Everyone danced the night away and I keep trying to think of excuses to hire them for something else!

They are the best band I have ever seen at any wedding or event. Music was fantastic and the one thing at the wedding that everyone kept talking about was the band.;They are good and they know it. Pricing is high and they are not quick at getting back to you.
