It’s been almost a month since our wedding, and I’m still getting rave reviews about the band. Multiple guests have told me they had always planned on having a DJ at their own wedding, but after seeing AFP perform, they’re now seriously considering hiring a live band instead. That’s how incredible they were.
From the planning process to the wedding day itself, everything was seamless. They made it so easy to finalize our music selections and played all of the songs that were important to us. They also gave us the sweetest surprise that we’ll never forget. Our first dance was to a slow cover of First Date by Blink-182, and without us knowing, they ended the night by playing the original version. It was the perfect full-circle moment and such a thoughtful touch that made the ending of our wedding feel even more special.
We had Brandi, Sharisse, and Christian as our lead vocalists, and they were incredible. Their voices were unbelievably powerful, their energy was contagious, and they kept the dance floor packed from the first song to the last. Every musician in the band was exceptionally talented, and together they created an atmosphere that was so much fun and impossible not to dance to.
AFP didn’t just provide music—they created an unforgettable experience. Christian, one of the male singers, was absolutely amazing. I can't say enough good things about his talent and energy. And our band coordinator Julia was out of this world, making sure we stayed on schedule while pivoting seamlessly to accommodate everything we wanted throughout the night.

The 9 piece was perfect for the vibe we wanted. The musicians for our ceremony did beautiful, tear-jerking renditions of Sunshine On My Shoulders and Blackbird, the cocktail hour duo created the perfect ambiance, and I'm not even sure how to begin to describe the reception. Our MC, Julia, was fantastic - she was so organized checking in with us throughout the evening so that we were in the loop on the progression of the night with speeches and breaks, and she was so kind in addition to her talent. Our vocalists, Brandi, Scott, and Helen - WOW. They were all so incredibly gifted, and brought so much energy to the reception. None of our guests wanted to leave the dance floor, and Scott worked the room so well with his dance moves. Their song choices were perfect - they totally captured the vibe we wanted, and spanned the generations perfectly so that everyone in attendance wanted to be up and dancing. He went above and beyond to support our vision of having live jazz musicians for our ceremony and cocktail reception, and he did an incredible job finding the perfect team for the rest of the celebration — connecting us with day-of coordinator, Reggie, and DJ Sam for the dancing portion of the night. The transitions between live music and DJ sets were seamless and elevated the entire experience.
Andy and I received countless compliments from our guests, many of whom said that DJ Sam, day-of coordinator Reggie, and live musicians were truly world-class. The energy, professionalism, and musical talent were evident throughout the entire night.

researching many local New York bands, we were invited to an AFP Showcase where the band put their talents on full display. As soon as we heard the caliber of the musicians, the voices and passion of the singers, their electric energy, and the range of types of songs they were performing, we were sold.
Once we moved into planning stages, we had the pleasure of working with Sariah to answer all of our questions. Sariah was incredibly helpful, positive and supportive every step of the way. The team worked with us to choose all of our favorite songs, styles of music and favorite artists, so we went into our wedding day feeling confident that they would knock it out of the park.
From start to finish, the process was seamless! The band truly exceeded our expectations - energetic and extremely musically talented! So many of our guests complimented the band as one of their favorite parts of the wedding - and we agree!! Our onsite coordinator Julia really brought the energy in MC-ing. A total rockstar!!

Honestly, I am not usually an avid dancer, but turned into one at my own wedding, all thanks to the energy and magic that Atomic Funk Project brought to the day. So many people came up to me and asked where I found the band, and complimented our wedding saying it was the “most fun wedding they’d ever been to.” For context, our friends who also got married this year gave us that compliment. I can’t say enough about how fun and how talented they were. Adding instruments to play during the ceremony and cocktail hour was also such a beautiful touch that made the day feel ethereal. As far as the lead up to the wedding, Atomic Funk Project was so communicative and helpful. Their dedicated coordinator, Sariah, is so kind, responsive, and accommodating. We planned a backyard wedding at my parents’ house, which is something I always dreamed of, but proved to be logistically difficult. The band was so helpful in giving us electrical requirements and other information that helped us host the band at a private residence. The band was also happy to change some lyrics to songs like the “21st night of September” to the “20th night of September” which was our wedding date. I really can’t say enough. They were incredible, insanely talented, and lovely to work with. If they have availability, don’t think twice, book them ASAP! Atomic Funk Project, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
