And during the wedding, the band sounded absolutely unreal while still being fun and engaging with the crowd--which made the vibe on the dance floor nothing short of magical. So many of our guests said the band was their favorite part of the wedding, and the dance floor was definitely the highlight for my husband and I. Our guests LOVED the band, too. Everyone was up on the dance floor all night and we had so many guests ask for their name throughout the night.
Steve and his team were so helpful getting everything prepared ahead of the day, and Cliff made sure everything ran seamlessly on the day. They really are an amazing team of people.

azz bass, so he was not going to accept anything less than the best. AFP surpassed all of our expectations. Multiple times our guests (many of whom are musicians themselves) came up to us and expressed how great the band was.
From the moment they started playing, the dance floor was alive with energy and joy. Song after song, they brought down the house. The atmosphere they created was electric. Their seamless blend of soulful melodies and infectious Motown rhythms had everyone, from our youngest guests to our grandparents, out on the dance floor having the time of their lives. It was a super hot and muggy night, but nothing could keep our guests off the dance floor when the music was THAT good.
AFP absolutely nailed our special request songs and were even able to source additional instrumentalists for our classical ceremony music. Later in the evening, AFP went above and beyond by inviting my husband's teenage cousin onto the stage to sing with them for a song. She is an aspiring singer and they made her feel like an absolute star. Afterwards, i noticed two of the singers taking her aside to compliment her talent and encourage her to pursue her dream! It honestly brought tears to my eyes.
Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without Atomic Funk Project, and we're so grateful for the memories they helped us create. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our special day truly magical!

We were able to customize a set list from their song book - we’re very into Funk and Disco and they created a great mix of this style of music along with select modern songs that fit right in. They also were able to accommodate our request for a first dance song that wasn’t on their list. The quality of the band and musicians was unmatched - it felt like we were at a professional concert the whole time. The group interacted and played around with the guests and the bride (me!) while performing, making the night very fun and memorable. The music and dancing was the highlight of the night for myself and many of our guests, and we all ended the night wanting more!

Cocktail hour was accompanied by a pianist that was fantastic (and a friend of a guest surprisingly!)
Cliff was our band manager/emcee and ended up being so much more. Advocated for the groom to get a beer quickly and worked fabulously with our venue staff.
The band kept our party dancing until the very last second and our guests were blown away with the range and skill of the band. “If you didn’t look, you’d think they were playing recordings” were reviews of guests. They played so well for our party AND listened to requests like Christmas songs in April and worked through our little emergencies on the day of.

Our MC for the night, Sariah, was outstanding. She was so warm, so organized, and so willing to be flexible during the night to make sure the timing was right.
The band learned 3 songs to be played during our ceremony and 3 different songs that they played during our reception and you’d never know they weren’t part of their original setlist.
If you’re not booking Atomic Funk Project for your wedding you’re doing it wrong!!! It wouldn’t have been the same party without them, that’s for sure.

The artists are truly world class in every sense of the word. Musically gifted with a healthy dose of showmanship! We contacted Steve from AFP pretty early into our wedding planning. Steve walked us through all the logistics and was truly a pleasure to communicate with. A few months prior to the wedding Steve had us fill out a very detailed form that outlined our three requested songs, favorite genres, favorite artists, etc. I have to add that when I think about how they played our first dance song, Anyone by Justin Bieber, it brings a tear to my eye. It was so beautiful. The band and our MC, Julia, were incredible the entire evening. The music was perfectly suited for every part of the evening. They are such professionals and really know how to read a room full of 112 people. They made my “elegant dinner party turned live rooftop concert” dreams come true. These guys played their hearts out the whole night and people were on the dance floor nonstop. Practically never took breaks. Our wedding was the exact dance party we wanted it to be!!!

seen a band this great (wedding or not!) My friends are trying to find out when they're playing a show next so that we can all go out dancing. Even a bunch of the older guests stayed on the dance floor until the bitter end because it was just SUCH a great time! Def one of the perks of throwing a wedding in NYC, the talent pool here is just off the charts and you can tell every performer up there is giving their absolute 1000% to blow the lid off the night!

fter making contact with their manager Steve Davis, I received a number of videos from actual weddings. In addition, I went to see a live performance at a public venue in Brooklyn. Every performance that I experienced was fantastic. My only concern was that Atomic Funk’s business model is that they rotate their performers based upon availability. After discussing my concern with Steve Davis, I decided to hire the band as he assured me that there would be consistent high quality with all the performers. True to Steve’s word, the band was absolutely great. From the very first song, the guests at my wedding (young and old) could not get off the dance floor. The amount of compliments I received the night of the event and in the months that followed was truly amazing. In addition, Steve and his administrative staff are well organized and the process of planning the event and choosing the songs/ genre was smooth and enjoyable.
