Augusta is an amazing photographer and person. We have seen the work she has done for many friends and family, so we were really excited to hire her for our recent engagement shoot. She was so easy to work with, great with communication and scheduling, and was so genuinely excited and happy to be there with us. She made us feel so comfortable being ourselves in front of the camera, and it was just an incredible experience overall. We absolutely recommend hiring Augusta to be your photographer. We can't wait for her to capture our wedding as well!

From the moment we met Augusta I knew we had to choose her as our photographer. In one meeting she understood and embraced our vision for our wedding photos. We received the photos and it truly solidified our decision. The photos were everything we wanted.

We 100% felt safe and comfortable throughout the photoshoot process. We had a kind of weird wedding with very few guests, which meant that our photographer also needed to be a comfortable person to be around. She was so easy to talk to and everyone loved her. A wedding photographer is meant to capture, as close as they can, how the day *feels* to the couple. Wedding days fly by and it can be hard to remember the details yourself, whether it's a big ballroom event or an intimate little shindig, so the couple needs to rely on the photographer to capture those memories so they don't get lost. Being uncomfortable or self-conscious around them makes for bad pictures, which kind of makes for worse memories of the day itself. Augusta's photos capture how the day actually felt. There is literally not a single one that we don't like! We loved everything about working with her - not only phenomenal photos, but a pleasure to work with, incredibly flexible with our date change, and a great guest that we loved getting to know. I would absolutely recommend Augusta - and I already have enthusiastically! We'll definitely be reaching out for the next life event :)

We could not have chosen a better photographer. We are retired and, because of the pandemic, could not have our family with us. Our elopement package to western MA did not include photos and we weren’t sure if we could find someone last minute for such a tiny event. And there was Augusta Rose getting back to us immediately. We felt an immediate connection and loved her personal touches. We also have what my son referred to as the photo of the year! Perfect. ❤️

She has also photographed weddings for so many of my friends which all came out so beautiful and captured the energy of each celebration perfectly. Augusta shot out engagement, it was an outdoor event and it was amazing. I was so in the experience, I didn't even notice Augusta working. She captured so many angles, me and my partner, the nature, the people witnessing us. Most importantly for me-- she captured the beauty and emotion of the event. Not just me, and my partner but us as a couple. She captured the love and the experience. As a queer human, I am so grateful to have found Augusta. I highly recommend her work.

My husband and I asked Augusta to photograph our wedding at an art & music festival outside of Seattle. She intuitively felt what we needed and was able to capture it - we never had to tell her what we wanted. Augusta truly embraces who you are. Her technique is empathic and empowering. We were able to let go, enjoy the moment, and feel safe to be only ourselves. The photos captured during this time were pure magic. We will cherish the experience and final product forever.

The photos Gussa captured of our wedding day are amazing and we treasure them. Her relaxed but professional demeanor was a joy to have at the ceremony and made working with her easy. Getting photos with all the members of our large family was important to us. We appreciated Gussa gathering people together quickly, putting them at ease, and taking excellent shots of each group. She was thoroughly professional and easy to communicate with before, during, and after the ceremony. Highly recommend her.

Augusta's talent as a photographer, open heart, and creativity were key components in making our elopement feel special, and in helping us share it with family and friends after our return. I asked Augusta to capture what it felt like for us to be in nature as we got married, focusing less on typical close-up/stand-up presentational wedding photos, and more on a documentary style reflecting our surroundings. She really captured what I wanted, and built upon it to more than I had originally been able to put into words. Her presence at our small ceremony never felt intrusive, even though it was such a private affair, and she was a fantastic officiant as well. The photos immediately bring us back to the magical calm feeling of being on Black Sands Beach in the fog, and our families were able to gain a sense of it as well--a sort of 'being there' without having any guests. I truly believe that no other photographer could have pulled this off--from Augusta's flexibility as the day and location changed, to her grounded and adventurous spirit, to her open-mindedness and ability to listen to our concerns/discomfort with the staged formality of 'typical' wedding photography. Augusta literally "made" our wedding!

"KATRINA, THESE PHOTOS-THEY MADE ME FEEL LIKE I WAS THERE" "THESE ARE THE BEST WEDDING PHOTOS I HAVE EVER SEEN" Those were some of the comments we got after posting over her photos to Facebook from Augusta Rose Photography documenting our wedding weekend. And every time we saw someone out they'd say "Congratulations! Your photos were GORGEOUS!" Knowing her personally, Augusta was the first person we went to talk photography when we got engaged. When we did our engagement shoot, she went with our ideas and captured our personalities. Her editing is phenomenal and she was able to accommodate our requests. During our wedding planning, I had at least two phone consults after our initial and she did a venue scout with us. I also sent her crazy lists of what I wanted done for pictures from Pinterest --she agreed to all of my requests, but on the day that list was far from my mind and Augusta did her own thing mostly, which I was grateful for. Augusta was present at the wedding for each traditional shot and reception event. She didn't skip a beat. She went above and beyond. When I asked Augusta for specific photos I wanted for our thank you cards--she delivered them a day later. Again, beautiful delivery and timing of our wedding photos. She delivered over 800 photos to us, which told the story of our weekend. We laughed and we cried as Augusta went through each of our photos with us! We have no regrets in our choice and we recommend Augusta Rose Photography to all couples. You won't regret it either!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Augusta, who made us feel so at ease and whose warmth and friendliness was such a wonderful addition to our wedding day! She was so patient with the millions of family photos our families wanted to take. I sometimes feel uncomfortable in photos but Augusta was adept at encouraging us to be ourselves while also making sure we were in the best light for her to do her work properly. It meant so much to us, a queer lady couple, to have someone so affirming of us capturing our intimate wedding. In short, I am so glad we chose Augusta as our photographer!

Augusta Rose captured my impromptu elopement with grace and poise. Having had no time to connect beforehand and no exchange of vision communicated, she skillfully and beautifully immortalized our ceremony and captured our love. I am in awe of her instinct behind the camera! Each photo brought to life our connection so honestly, but also captured our environment in such a way that nature became a part of the story being told. Hiring Augusta to join us for our wedding weekend on Martha's Vineyard and to capture our LOVE STORY through her photography was the best possible decision we could have made!! Augusta immediately fit in with our quirky family & friends at our guests' welcome reception the day before the wedding. It was as if Augusta had known all of us her whole life, and she took the time to speak with each of our closest friends and family members so that she knew who to focus her attention on the next day, with her wonderfully refreshing and candid style of photography. We love how each photo portrays our wedding day in such a unique, natural, playful, and most of all "LOVE FILLED" way, staying true to Vanessa and I's vision for a fun and casual nontraditional wedding. We are truly grateful to Augusta for everything she did for us over our wedding weekend and we will certainly treasure and admire the photos she took and the memories she captured for the rest of our lives! Augusta is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The experience working with her was a 12 out of 10. Augusta is a beautiful soul and a brilliant photographer. She is so incredibly talented and I love every single one of our wedding photos. I didn't even notice her taking photos the day of, yet she captured each and every moment perfectly. I felt 100% comfortable with Augusta throughout the entire process. She connects with other human beings on such a deep level and truly respects their space, privacy, thoughts, feelings, etc. My husband is not fond of having his photo taken, but because of the trust and friendship that Augusta took the time to build with him before our wedding, he was incredibly relaxed and she got some truly magical photos of him. On the day of, she was quiet and non-intrusive and had a calming presence whenever I spoke to her. I felt like our wedding day was truly safe in her more than capable hands.
