Handcrafted by women for women in Beirut, Lebanon, these luxury combs and hair pieces meld a celebration of femininity with an appreciation for high fashion. They are designed for contemporary and adventurous women who want to embody the historical figures and goddesses of Greece, Rome, Arabia, and the Ottoman Empire. Owner and designer Carolina Chammas has spent her career in the fashion industry. After working as a Brand Manager for Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs, and Roberto Cavalli, she pursued a Master’s in Fashion Marketing at the Instituto Marangoni. While working at Elle magazine, Carolina was craving and unable to find the boho-chic hair jewelry she dreamed of. Taking matters into her own hands, she founded her company in order to create breathtaking artisanal headpieces for herself and others. AURA Headpieces offers a line of products that are dipped in 14k gold and sterling silver and range from combs to headbands to full crowns. These stunning accessories are then set with local metal leaves, Swarovski-certified diamonds, semi-precious stones, culture pearls, and fabrics such as chiffon and lace. Clients can browse the online collection or get in touch with the designers in order to create their own bespoke headpieces. The brand also provides veil and bouquet customization and even can craft these from scratch.
