About this vendor
I am the proud owner of Aurora Photography, an International, published and award winning wedding photography studio.
I specialize in elegant, fine art, documentary-style wedding photography based in Atlanta. Whether your wedding is intimate or grand, adventurous or simple, I take the time to create timeless, bespoke images that you will treasure forever. Ones you want your children and even grandchildren to see and gawk at how amazing not just your special day was but the love that you two have for each other. You will get to relive the most magical day for the rest of your lives through these captured moments. All the smiles. All the laughs. All the tears of joys immortalized and captured through my lens.
I've shot over 150 weddings with different prestigious studios in the Atlanta area and have traveled and shot weddings overseas. While I’m a natural light photographer when I have beautiful natural lighting, I'm also trained and well adverse in technical off camera flash. This allows me to be able to wield my own light. So I’ll never be limited by the dark or poor lighting and can create my own beautiful lighting. Lighting is only one part of my expertise, I also provide couples with my posing skills. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had couples come to me saying they are so worried about posing and feeling awkward in front of the camera. My immediate response is, “I got you!” I’ve made it my mission to master the art of posing and details, knowing even the slightest changes can transform an image from “good” to “amazing”.
At the end of the day I love what I do. When people ask me what is my dream, I say I’m already living it. You have to love the craft as much as the two people promising themselves to each other. What can I say? I'm a romantic with a camera who loves to capture love no matter how challenging or unpredictable the circumstances maybe. Willing to have the flexibility and understanding that things change, and adapting on the fly and still capturing something beautiful is the best part of the job. It’s your day, your love story. As overwhelming, stressful or crazy planning your wedding day may feel (I was in your shoes not too long ago so I know exactly what you're going through), when your big day is finally here. what actually matters boils down to the love you have for each other. It will be the best day ever (trust me, it will be worth all the stress!) But it will also be over before you know it. So I’ll be there by your sides capturing each moment. While I would love to be your wedding photographer, I’d love to be even more. Someone you two trust. Your friend. Your “Lifetime” photographer. I specialize in wedding photography, but I also have a passion for maternity and newborn photography. Your wedding day is just the start of your love story and I’d love to be there to capture every new and exciting chapter there is to follow it.

I can’t rave about Rachael and Aurora Photography enough! Hands-down the best decision we made for our big day. Not only does she have an artistic eye and capture beautiful photos,...
she brings an organized and calming presence to your special day. It truly feels like you’ve hired a long-time friend to capture something to important. Communication is always quick, timelines of final photo edits are as promised or earlier, and she will now be my family photographer for all of life’s special moments. I don’t consider myself comfortable in front of a camera (neither does my husband!) but we had so much fun taking our wedding photos.
Three years ago, I was a bridesmaid in my brother’s wedding. As I was enjoying the day, I noticed how much I loved working with the photographer he hired. She was on schedule, kind...
, and a joy to work with. She also has a great personality and makes you feel like you have been friends for years. When his wedding gallery came back, we were blown away by the results. I knew then and there, I would have to use this same photographer. What better way to find a photographer than experience their work first hand in someone else’s wedding! Flash forward to my own engagement, and the first thing I did was reach out to Rachael to gauge her availability. I refused to sign my venue contract until I knew she was available. Best choice I made for my wedding! Rachael was amazing with communication, and even recommended me to the majority of the other amazing vendors I used! She was a joy to work with on the day of, blended seamlessly with the other vendors, and stayed on schedule. The sneak peak we received that same weekend exceeded our expectations; the photos were BEAUTIFUL and we had over 20 to view. A few weeks later we received our whole gallery and we were so happy we chose Aurora Photography!
Rachael is the best! She is so incredibly talented. She truly is there for the bride and groom. I started to get overwhelmed while we were taking family photos and she knew exactly...
what to do to help calm me in the moment. She also is so good at helping me feel comfortable in front of the camera. I am not very good with taking photos of modeling. She made me feel like a natural!! There is no question on whether or not you should book Rachael. You most definitely should!! We LOVE her!!
We had a great experience with Rachael!! She was so kind and fun to work with. The photos turned out beautiful. You can tell that she is passionate about her craft with her attenti...
on to detail. She is great at giving direction on the little things that make a big difference in the final product, but she also captures the candid moments throughout the day. We received our sneak preview the day after our wedding, and the photos are absolutely stunning. Thank you, Rachael, for capturing our special day so beautifully. I highly recommend working with Rachael!
One of the absolute best things I did for my wedding, was hire Rachael, with Aurora Photography. Like literally THE best thing I could've done. There are a million and one wedding ...
photographers out there, but Rachael is the one you need to hire. Everything about her is top notch. Her services, her photos, her direction, her professionalism, her personality, her work, her experience, and the way she will capture your day - it will all be everything you could ever want. My photos turned out flawlessly, and I cannot get over them. She listens, is a gem of a person, and will help your day run so smoothly. She studied my timelines and knew all my photo wants. She captured everything I wanted and more! I mean let the pictures speak for themselves. She also did my engagement shoot (killed it!), and since I took way too long to write this review (hah - I got married 3/4/23) I have hired her to do my maternity shoot this January 2024. I love having her there to capture my life's journey! She offers a clean, bright, romantic, and realistic aesthetic to her pictures that was exactly what I was looking for when shopping wedding photographers. If that is you, look no further! You have to hire her! She's the best of the best!
Rachael was the perfect choice for the style we wanted and we are so happy with the memories she captured of our wedding!
It was great having someone who was not only an amazing ...
photographer, but also knew our venue already, and from the first conversation made us feel so comfortable. As two people who are not the best about being in front of the camera spotlight, Rachael made us feel so relaxed and the results were great. She and her team were there to capture every moment for us and they worked so well with our entire digital team (videographers and content creators).
We were so glad to have taken advantage of our engagement shoot as well, as this really built on the relationship and comfort level leading up to the wedding.
We highly recommend Rachael for any of your photo needs, not just weddings, as she is great to work with and has great ideas to get you the best moments to look back on.
Rachel was such a crucial part to our wedding and such an amazing photographer! My husband and I are not big on taking pictures and she made us feel so comfortable behind the camer...
a. She was so easy to work with and helped make sure we got all the photos we wanted to remember our day. I am so glad we hired Rachel to help capture the day!

amily members appreciated every picture. You are such a talented photographer, and we were thrilled with the results of your work. From the beginning, your friendliness and calm manner gave us all the confidence we needed. In addition to that, the excellent services you offered were very reasonable. We are really grateful for your work and will save these stunning shots for the future. You are a great photographer and your professionalism is beyond doubt. We are going to book you for future events as well.

r photos, she put myself and my husband at ease, and our photos were amazing. She captured the classy yet the funniest moments of our wedding. I feel so honored she was our wedding photographer as I know that my family and friends will treasure our photographs.
Rachael was our photographer for our wedding at Little River Farms and she was phenomenal! I met with multiple photographers, but when I met Rachael, I knew she was the one and I d...
idn’t give it a second thought. Her photography is so romantic, artistic and she is super talented! To top it off, she has such an approachable, sweet, positive, and radiant personality. She was so easy to communicate with and talk to. I had a vision, and she made that vision come to life and she even exceeded my expectations!
She captured so many details and special moments that were so meaningful to me. I had a Persian ceremony, and she captured the details perfectly.
Rachael was amazing at directing the bridal party, our families and keeping us on track with the timeline. My friends who have already had weddings were so impressed with her direction and talent! My husband and I are camera shy, and we are not used to taking pictures. The candid moments and poses looked so natural that she made us look and feel like models!
Rachael is a true artist and I highly recommend her!
Loving photography, having gorgeous photos to treasure and forever remember our day was one of the most important things to me in planning our wedding. Therefore, choosing the phot...
ographer, knowing that they only had one “shot” to get it right, was an incredibly stressful decision. Then we met Rachael and it just felt right! From the moment you view her portfolio, you can easily see that she’s talented and has an artistic gift. What’s more, though, for a couple who’s not entirely comfortable being the center of attention, is her down-to-earth, engaging, yet calming demeanor that immediately puts you at ease. With her skill, she is very clearly a sought-after photographer in the greater Atlanta area, but not only was she incredibly empathetic and accommodating throughout the pandemic, but every time we worked with her, she was fully present, attentive, and focused on capturing the best of us in each moment.
Having booked her for both our engagement photos and wedding, I loved the continuity and relationship that we were able to establish. As a business owner, Rachael is everything you could hope for—candid, immediately responsive with excellent communication throughout the entire process, highly organized and dependable. She has a rapid turnaround time by industry standards and always delivered on time as promised! On a personal level, she is an absolute delight to work with! She brings an upbeat, fun energy to any space, gently guiding while still being friendly and engaging. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, as a professional and artist, her photos are simply beautiful! I have repeatedly poured over each album for hours and each time I go back to them, I’m transported back to that day and feel each and every emotion that was so purposefully and carefully captured. The photos we received are a gift, invaluable keepsakes that we will treasure always.
Hands down, hiring Rachael was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! If you’re searching for a strong female photographer who has it all, book Aurora Photography and breathe a sigh of relief knowing that you will be in amazing hands! Her fantastic energy, patient direction, and skilled eye make her a master of her craft and the person you absolutely want capturing you! Rachael, there aren’t words sufficient enough, but thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping to ensure that we had and will always remember the most special day we could have asked for!
I seriously cannot say enough amazing things about Rachael with Aurora Photography. She was sweet and professional and DEFINITELY knows her craft! She is amazing at placement and a...
ngles and also editing. She can control a crowd (we had 7 bridesmaids and groomsmen, plus the family pictures). My favorite thing about her was that any pictures I wanted, or any requests I had she made sure we got them. She never told me no or that a specific shot wouldn't look good. She is also okay with off the wall shots! We took a picture showing our custom underwear and she made it so fun for us! I highly recommend Rachael and Aurora photography and can't wait to use her again in the future for other photo needs. YOU NEED THIS PHOTOGRPAHER!!!
My husband and I used Rachael as our photographer for our engagement and wedding photos, and we love each. She was a dream to work with, and very flexible regarding the date, time,...
and location of our engagement shoot. I was visiting from our of town so we had a narrow timeframe to get them done in, and when we arrived to the place we'd chosen we found it was closed due to COVID. Rachael thankfully knew the area well and was able to suggest a nearby park, which we loved. The photos came out beautifully.
For the wedding, we had a call about two weeks before where we went over the schedule of the day and discussed details so she'd have everything she needed. I sent over a list of family portraits for after the ceremony to make sure we didn't forget any important configurations on the day of, and I also told her a few specific shots I had in mind (my mom fastening the pearl necklace on me rat she wore at her own wedding). She sent our sneak peaks over a few days later on our honeymoon, which was such a quick turnaround in a busy wedding season. We got all of the shots back within six weeks from the wedding date. I was so impressed not only by her professionalism and timeliness, but we adored the shots. I made photo books for my mom and MIL for Christmas, and my mom made photo books for my grandparents. It was difficult to choose which photos to use when I loved so many of them.
We're so grateful to Rachael for capturing our wedding day, as I feel like it flew by so quickly the pictures help remind me of those special moments. She is an incredible photographer, works well with organizing the wedding party as a whole (including our rambunctious ring bearer), and did a phenomenal job. We couldn't be happier.
Amazing work, super down to earth and made us feel so comfortable when taking our wedding photos. Always making sure our voice was herd. Everyone in our wedding loved how she took ...
our photos! Thank you

ven had other friends reach out to her since mine. I have been in quite a few weddings and her pictures and style are just truly incredible. She was so easy to work with, accommodating and also let's you have some creative freedom, if you want! The quality of her pictures aren't fake or incredibly edited like a lot do now and that's what I loved most about her, she just naturally nails the shot she needs! I got so many compliments on my pictures and I will forever be grateful for my high quality pictures and that I have so many to choose from!
The main thing you should invest in at your wedding is your photographer! Pictures are your forever memories and Rachael is absolutely amazing. I couldn't recommend her enough!
Rachael was truly amazing. She has a very sweet personality, so doing the engagement shoot was super easy and she pointed us in the right direction in pretty much every photo. She ...
captured every photo wonderfully, and I was 110% happy with her overall work at my wedding. I think my favorite photos were outside. It was 1,000 degrees it seemed like, and still,' every picture came out breath-taking. Thank you for capturing our big day!

dent in front of the camera - something we are both not used to. She is fun, creative, and you can feel how much she loves her job. She is also especially talented at night/flash photography which was important to us since we knew we were going to be fighting daylight on our wedding day with the timeline we had set.
We loved our engagement photos and were drooling over the sneak peek we've gotten from our 11/12/21 wedding - we can't wait to see the full gallery! We've already passed on her name to various friends who are planning engagements, and know we will come back to her for any future family photos! We 1000% recommend Aurora Photography!
Rachel is an absolute sweetheart and her photography is incredible!! She truly captured the happiness and magic I felt on my wedding.

le experience with Rachel. We knew she was good when we brought our dog to our engagement photos! Rachel was absolutely thrilled to see him and captured some incredible photos of us with our pup. Its really hard to get him to pay attention, but she made it look easy! We had so much fun with her the rest of the day. We felt completely at ease with her and honestly we began to see her as more of a friend than a photographer. We got sneak peaks within 2 days and all the pictures right when she said they'd be done! We are still getting compliments on them! That would have been great on its own. But, Rachel went above and beyond on our wedding day. She did an incredible job of capturing the most fun and precious moments. We had so much fun and she kept us at ease all day. From family to bridal party to extended family to friends, Rachel captured each one with joy and professionalism. The sneak peaks made me cry. The best day of our lives wouldn't have been the same without her. We can't wait to see the rest of our pictures! Look no further, Rachel is the best in the business!

hat I mentioned I wanted and delivered above and beyond. During my wedding (photography aside) there were some minor things she went above and beyond with she didn't have to but she did which I will always cherish and remember. Not only is she a great photographer but she ended up being a great friend too! Thank you for everything! <3

I found out she had three wedding the weekend I got married, but she managed to email me three sneak peak photos just 2 days after the wedding..which I really appreciated. And I got all the phtotos less than 3 weeks after the wedding. HIGHLY RECOMMEND her for any event photos you made need!!
Rachael was amazing to work with. We originally had her booked for our May 9th wedding, but then covid hit and we ended up pushing our ceremony back to July 4th. We were so thank...
ful she could squeeze us in with only a couple months notice. As May 9th rolled around, my husband and I wanted to keep our original wedding date and Rachael offered to photograph that day as well. We were so happy that she captured some of the best pictures of us in the same spot we got engaged and with our little fur baby! Our ceremony on July 4th was so hot and she was so understanding of the heat and worked with us to keep us inside as much as possible. Her photos are AMAZING, she was always on time, responsive to communication. Even after we received our photos, she was able to help me with getting prints for our home. I have already recommended her to several others. You will love her photographs. 110% would recommend Rachael and Aurora Photography. She also does new born pictures!!!

e was the best photographer ever.. I am really picky about photos /quality/ and even the personality of my photographer. But when she showed me her camera screen after taking the same shot I did I knew then that if and when I got married, she would have to photograph it.
She makes it fun and easy and the photos never disappoint.
You’re dumb if you don’t book her. If you are worried about money then throw out some unnecessary crap because besides the memories and a piece of paper - the photos are the only things you can look back and live those moments again.

my makeup was running a little late she gathered the stuff for the details photos when I couldn’t move. She made the whole day comfortable and easy for us. We aren’t used to being in front of the camera so she guided us in everything. She was very flexible with the schedule and allowed us to sneak off during the wedding to take extra pictures! She was down to do everything we wanted and gave us options when we didn’t know what we wanted. The pictures were done exactly when she said they would be and we’re amazing! I would forever recommend her and am so thankful she captured the night for us to have forever.
