. It's always a little nerve racking with buffets but it was just as amazing as our tasting. We did the Coffee Crusted Beef Medallions and Pecan Chicken...UNREAL. They picked up and ordered all our rentals. They made the tables look beautiful. I cannot recommend them enough. I can't wait to use them in future for smaller events.

The food tasting was an enjoyable little experience and K.D., our main point of contact, was very nice, professional, and courteous. I did not hear a single complaint from the guest about this company's crew. If you want your food and wedding done right, choose this team. Seriously, they're great.

K.D. and I exchanged countless emails trying to make sure everything was set for the big day. I didn't have a planner and she definitely assisted me with questions and ideas that I hadn't even thought of. She even took the time out of her day to meet me at my venue to go over everything and envision it together. During the wedding, Mervin was our Cater and he was AMAZING as well. When we got to the reception after the ceremony, my husband and I got greeted by him with champagne glasses and appetizers ready for us to quickly eat before the photographs with the photographer. He was on top of it! He went as far as to find a vase for my flowers so that they wouldn't wilt. I was so impressed with all of the Austin Catering Staff, they all worked so hard to make it come together so beautifully. Besides the amazing service, the food was incredibly delicious. I did get to eat a plate!!! That's so rare from what I've heard, but Mervin made it happen. I also had a signature glass of my fav jalapeño margaritas ("The Lola") in my hand all night long. Everyone raved about the food and the drinks. I was so happy that I went with Austin Catering. I hope that you read this and trust me when I say, you need to book them.

A lot of times couples/clients don't know the importance of hiring companies with good service because it's usually their first time doing it - good service is important because it sets the tone throughout the event. Things like not slamming the door during toasts, or always being professional around guests. I cannot speak highly enough about Austin Catering. They actually catered my wedding last year - which I think says a lot considering how many companies I work with. A perfect example of their amazing service: originally we had mac and cheese on the menu because it's my favorite food, but we ended up swapping it out because it didn't go with the rest of the meal. KD (the event manager) knew it was my favorite food, so she made sure they added it to my plate even though it was no longer on the menu. Don't hesitate, reach out and do a tasting. I am a perfectionist and very picky, they made sure to answer all of my MANY emails quickly and with perfect solutions. I have absolutely no regrets that I chose Austin Catering! During the wedding, Lisa and her staff took charge and got things set up quickly. Once our guests arrived, they were always taken care of with food and drink. We had lots of guests raving about how good the food was, especially for a buffet, and Monica and I got to try a little of everything, which was perfect in our whirlwind day. Austin Catering helped us put last-minute touches on our cake and left the venue (Mercury Hall) in better shape than we had found it. The staff was super helpful, and we were so thrilled to see Lisa take charge of everything once she arrived and help the food and beverage service run so smoothly. We had such a beautiful wedding and Austin Catering was a huge part of that — the perfect start to our life together :-)

Catering because they were affordable and had a great variety to satisfy my foodies and my pickies. At the tasting, I knew I picked correctly. They made boring green beans delicious! Anything they cook will taste great. K.D. was great to work with. I made a lot of changes throughout the months and I never felt like I couldn't. Even though I had a smaller wedding of 75, I still felt like I got the attention and service I deserved. The team was professional the day-of, and they provided my groom and me with to-go dinners just in case we didn't get to eat much at the ceremony. We had them contract with Texas Pie Company to bring in pies (served with HEB creamy creations of course), which I highly recommend. They served the cake and pie. We provided the alcohol, and they provided the bartenders.

ure the wedding party had appetizers while they were taking pictures. You know they care when they bring you (the bride) a fried avocado taco and a beer after stressful family photos. Amazing people and out of this world cuisine.

and she was nothing short of phenomenal. She tolerated all of my repeated and absent minded questions and menu changes like a champ and was always supportive. The team went above and beyond for my guests with vegetarian and gluten free diets by creating appetizers and entrees specifically for them. Seriously, my friend who can only eat GF got an entire plate of appetizers catered to her diet restrictions. I didn't even know they were doing that. We opted for family style dining and are so happy we did, guests haven't stopped talking about how delicious everything was. If you are looking for a caterer this is seriously the route to go. We couldn't recommend them more. Also, they handled all of our rentals, set ups and breakdowns too. They're just awesome!

They were very caring to my husband and I and even packed up a plate and desserts for each of us to take with us. The bartenders were great as well, I don't recall a line ever forming and we had 130 people. Seriously I cant recommend this catering company enough! I worked with Susan and she was so organized and wonderful to work with!

One thing that really made Austin Catering stand out to us was the way they plate their food. I was very hesitant to do a buffet style food service at my wedding, but seeing their food presentation and how everything was plated on beautiful serving dishes and not standard chaffing dishes was a huge plus! Most importantly though, the food was absolutely INCREDIBLE! Our friends and family raved about the food and drinks - specifically the smoke salmon. I am still amazed that they were able to keep the food tasting so delicious when feeding around 200 people. The whole evening truly couldn't have been better and Austin Catering played a major role in making it so special. I only hope to one day plan another event in Austin so that we can use Austin Catering again!

We did a buffet, but they made it so gorgeous by using serving platters and bringing the food out in small batches rather than chafing dishes. The food was DELICIOUS - we got so many compliments from our guests after the wedding on how amazing the food was. The service was also fantastic - they even set up a romantic little private able for my husband and I to eat dinner before our grand entrance, which was such a nice surprise and a great moment for us to spend with each other in the middle of the wedding.

rue success is in the details. I had been working with another caterer up until about 3 months before my wedding date, and simply could not continue with the horrible service. I contacted Lisa at Austin Catering, and instantly all of my frustration and stress were wiped clean. Not only was Lisa able to accommodate our date on pretty much zero notice, but she worked with my schedule to get a tasting set up, made sure each and every detail was covered, and turned a daunting task into one I thoroughly enjoyed. And, as if all of that wasn't enough, my wedding vendor MVP award goes to Lisa for this one - 1.5 hours before my ceremony was set to begin, Lisa approached me and informed me that my rental company had not brought any plates!!! Of course, I immediately started panicking. But, before I could even start thinking of what to do, Lisa gave me three options for solutions and simply asked, "Are any of these options unacceptable?". At the end of the day, somehow, she managed to get her warehouse to supply our plates and get them to the venue and set up, all in time, without one more word or concern from there. Austin Catering is now my one and only go-to catering company. I've never been so impressed, top to bottom, with a catering company. If you're still in the market for a catering company for your special day, look no further.

Their coordinator, Susan, was so professional and accommodating for all of the changes that inevitably occurred during our wedding planning. The tasting was also professional (and delicious!) and gave us the opportunity to meet some of the staff in person. We went with a mediterranean inspired menu (the roasted beef with salsa verde, orzo, and spinach ricotta tarts were amazing!) and got so many compliments on how great the food was. Our wedding had a little hitch in the beginning that caused an hour-or-so delay, and the staff was flexible enough to bump up appetizer hour a little early. Dinner was still served right on time. Great catering is always a little pricey, but when we saw it all come together so beautifully, we realized that it was totally worth it! My husband and I even received cute to-go boxes from them to enjoy the meal after all the festivities ended! Exquisite! Highly recommended!

f are wonderful to work with. We must have changed our mind at least 20 times on the food combinations that we wanted and K.D. was flexible and understanding each time. The set up on the day of was beautiful and we could not be happier with how everything turned out!

o eat! In fact, Austin Catering assigned us a PERSONAL waiter named Victor (per Bethany's request/suggestion) who brought us waters, drinks, meals - anything we needed! We took 15 minutes post vows to eat and take a moment with each other in our getting ready suite, and the meal was AMAZING. Latin inspired pork, chicken, veggies, salad - so good! I heard that a few folks didn't feel full, but we opted for Family Style meals - so that could have been a problem at just one table. I didn't get to see much else after that, but I've heard nothing but great things about them from the guests. Even my big italian family LOVED the meal, and they can be wary of anything outside of pasta. They were great - they helped set up, tear down, mix drinks, you name it! They even booked us in for a fast tasting on Dec 22 - which is a REALLY busy time of year. They picked up linens, bussed tables, and helped clean red wine spills. We even had a young guest (2 years old) who got really sick during the dinner, and the parents had to take him home fast - and Austin Catering boxed up three meals "to go" for them! They provided vendor meals at a discounted rate, and were generally awesome.

Susan was easy to work with, responded to us quickly, and made some great recommendations for us. Additionally, they handled several special requests our venue had for their dishes without any problems. We considered good food service to be a very important part of our day, and Austin Catering exceeded all our expectations, and we had several guests telling us it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding - and not just good for wedding food, actually very good food! ut things were definitely not 5 stars on my wedding day. Apparently there was a catering manager there, but she never introduced herself to me. My only two interactions with her was when she told me I should have provided the bitters, to which I had to prove to her that Susan and I had already coordinated that Austin Catering would provide that. She fixed it, but I was not happy with the way that she approached me RIGHT before my ceremony. It was also something that I shouldn't have had to deal with at all. Secondly, they ran out of the appetizers pretty quickly. When I confronted her about she said they only had enough for an hour. Passed appetizers didn't start until after 5:30 and were all gone by 6:13. That's not an hour. People were really upset that they didn't get to try any at all. And that leads me to the same dinner issue. While I didn't run out of food, I had several people that weren't able to show up at the last minute, so I paid for SEVERAL extra people in my headcount and received ZERO leftovers. My husband and I were given two small "to-go plates", but if that was ALL of the leftovers, then they didn't provide nearly enough food. So BOTH the appetizers and dinner were very under provided, especially given I gave a higher headcount than showed up. I should have had a ton of leftovers if they planned accurately. If I did have leftovers, they were either thrown away or taken by the staff. The buffet food was also cold, and I was the first to eat. Sweet potatoes were almost raw and really unimpressive. I didn't hear any actual complaints luckily, but the tasting we had months ago was significantly better than the day of. All I can think is that maybe this just isn't the caterer for a small wedding. Most items were prepared offsite, I was not assigned a chef onsite. I had a pretty small wedding and I feel like I wasn't given the attention the other folks on here with 5 star reviews were given.

We had 115 guests and 2 bartenders, which worked well. I would suggest hiring a separate bartending service for brunches and after-parties, however. So many people told us not to expect things to be perfect because it is challenging to prepare food for an off site location and have it be fresh and hot. They were wrong. Each item was beautifully presented, perfectly prepared and served at the appropriate temperature. Kristin and Louise were constantly monitoring the food replenishment. So many guests raved about the food especially the beef tenderloin. I would heartily recommend Austin Catering to anyone having a Hill Country event!!

so I knew what our cost would be regardless of the RSVPs we received (since we were so unsure of what it would actually be). Christy even met us at the venue to do a run through with our venue coordinator , that way they both knew what our timeline/plans were. That was awesome of Christy considering our venue was about 45 min away! She was so accommodating and just awesome to work with the whole time, I just cant rave about Christy enough! ...But on top of our awesome catering coordinator, the food was delicious too. Our menu was prosciutto stuffed chicken, with beef medallions, pesto pasta, and veggies (plus Caesar salad). It was delicious!!! They even served kids meals, and vendor meals for half the cost (which was nice because catering can get pricey)!! But even with this level of service, and extensive menu, they were still in the top two "best priced" options. I was very impressed with everything we got for what we paid!! Definitely give them a call, you wont be disappointed!! :)

Many people asked for the name of the caterer and said it was the best wedding food they ever had tasted. We are a same-sex couple, and as one would hope, this was completely NOT an issue. That was definitely the right decision. At every step of the process Susan Higgins, our contact, was very patient and helpful. Our wedding was a mid-size wedding (100 people) and not especially lavish, but at no point did we feel like our needs and concerns were unimportant. Austin Catering knows what they're doing and it really showed. With so many things to worry about in planning a wedding, it was a relief to never be concerned that Austin Catering might drop the ball. These guys are pros. So if you're reviewing a caterer I suppose the most important thing to talk about is the food...which is something our guests are STILL doing. This was not mass produced, bland "wedding food." The food was super high quality and the carefully selected menu reflected our diverse regional preferences. The number of positive comments about the food was overwhelming. Big thumbs up. One major concern we had was how to handle the potential for rain that was threatening on our wedding day. It was incredibly important to us to be married outside and Austin Catering was especially sensitive to this desire. Rather than push us towards changing to a safer indoors plan, they were patient and waited as long as possible. In the end the rain mostly held off and we were able to have things almost according to our original plan. Picking your caterer is probably the most important decision you'll make and we definitely made the right choice with Austin Catering.

We received quite a few quotes for our reception dinner, and Susan sent back a menu that was exactly what we wanted at exactly the right price. When we made a request for something that they had never done before (toasted ravioli), she never balked, and the toasted ravioli turned out delicious! Even the St. Louis people, who tend to be snobs about their t-ravs, raved about how they turned out and about the food in general. Throughout the planning process, Susan was very quick to respond to any question or request I had and when we did the tasting a few months before the wedding, I knew we had made the right choice. The food at the wedding for 120 people tasted just as good as the tasting we did for 2. Their staff were very friendly and even made plates for my husband and I so that we could sit down and enjoy the food during dinner. And they sent us away with a to-go box that came in handy later that night. Susan came out to the wedding venue with us to do a walk through and was extremely helpful in more than just the catering aspects, especially since I didn’t have a wedding planner. I would highly recommend Austin Catering for their food, presentation, and service! I only wish I had eaten more of the food at the wedding!

mount of people! We had more compliments on the food than we would have ever imagined. We chose the beef medallions, pecan crusted check with Dijon, roasted vegetables, and mac and cheese. Our guests raved about everything, especially the mac and cheese! Audrey was wonderful to work with and quick to respond to our questions (and our wedding planner will tell you, we had a ton!) I am so glad that we chose Austin Catering as our caterer.
