Austyn-Marie Captures

om my grandma crying during my first dance to the kids with their orange slice smiles. For one person it is amazing how much she captured and you didn't even know she was there. With the one on one shoot with my husband and I she was so creative but at the same time gave us space to be ourselves and really captured our relationship and love for each other, some are beautifully romantic and breathtaking others are silly and put a smile on my face but they are us. I would 100% use her again, I would love to do just a whole day photoshoot with her and recommend her for your wedding.

apher who could capture all the fun scenes on the dance floor was a priority for us. Most photographers responded with a rate sheet and some sample photos, almost all of which seemed to be styled / posed shots, with hardly any shots of standard dance floor shenanigans. Of all the photographers I reached out to, Austyn was the ONLY one that specifically addressed my priorities in her initial response. She created a sample album to show me that was filled entirely with reception photos of guests just letting lose and having fun! Right off the bat I loved her attention to detail and her caring attitude. She also had incredible response times! She pretty much always responded to my emails within 24 hours, and it was usually even less than that! Once we booked her, she continued to impress. She was so accommodating throughout the entire process, always willing to change and flex as our day-of timeline started to take shape. On the day of the wedding she had such a bubbly energy, she was honestly just so fun to be around!! I had multiple guests come up and ask who our photographer was, specifically commenting on how fun she was, genuinely enjoying the moment and giggling along anytime something funny happened. She seemed to be everywhere at once, always capturing the silliest moment. She sent us a sneak peek album just one day after our wedding!! I was so impressed! We just got the rest of the photos and they are fabulous. The only minor piece of regret was that we didn't end up getting one of the shots that we had put on the list of shots to get during the reception. To Austyn's credit, she had asked me multiple times about getting that shot, but I was so wrapped up in the moment that I told her not to worry about it. In reality, we really wished we took the time to get that shot. But that's not Austyn's fault, just a small regret of my own. All the other photos and the amazing experience we had with Austyn more than makes up for it!! We will gladly hire her again for any other major life moments we want captured. Thank you Austyn!!!

my husband's posed portraits with his groomsmen and moms so she had more time to spend with me getting some fun getting ready photos. She had our engagement photos to us within a week and over 1300 photos from our wedding back in just a little over a month (extremely impressive, especially considering she was the only ceremony/reception shooter and Mardi Gras festivities started the weekend of our wedding). She put a creative spin on some of our photos, while also giving us the perfect amount of posed and candid photos. We could not be happier with her work and I'm still wondering how she managed to be in multiple places at once during our reception. And on top of her gleaming personality and creativity, she hand delivered our photo USB directly to our home in a sweet handmade box with a thank you card. We plan to use her in the future for any photographs we need to take; you absolutely cannot go wrong in hiring her and you will not be disappointed!

t at capturing all the “Special personalized items “we had set up for our guests-and there were many... when ever something was picture perfect and I was looked for her she was already there taking pix ... We had a fairly large wedding that was somewhat spread out....grooms party in one house ..bridal party in another ...the ceremony and reception were outdoors under the beautiful Live oak trees at Stella Plantation... I still don’t know how she managed to capture everything going on and so beautifully... but she did... when we look at the pictures it’s like reliving the wedding every time ... he was the voice that kept telling me, "take a breath." And the photos! They are truly beautiful. The colors, the quality, the framing... she did a wonderful job. In short, she's great. She's not going to disappoint you because I don't think she can. It's not in her DNA, but what is built in there is a desire to help people find their smile. We're beaming from ear to ear.

Our spring engagement shoot in City Park was such a fun adventure and even more special in that Austyn was able to arrange getting a permit to photograph us in the Botanical Gardens...we even got to visit the gazebo where my fiancé proposed! The entire session was fun and full of laughs, plus the shots came out absolutely beautiful! On our wedding day, which took place in my parents’ backyard in Mandeville, Austyn arrived early to capture some special getting-ready time, and was so wonderful and patient, especially as much of my focus was on my little dog Sadie, who was getting nervous preparing to be our ring bearer. At the end of our ceremony, my fiancé attempted to do a fancy “dip” with me as part of our first kiss, which ended in us both momentarily crashing to the floor (no one was injured - it was my dress’s fault :)). Austyn captured the entire progression of the mishap that ended up being the funniest and most memorable part of the day. The entire rest of the day was such a beautiful whirlwind, and she so accurately documented the people, things and moments that made our wedding day the happiest and most magical day ever! A close friend of ours recommended Austyn, and she is going to be shooting their upcoming wedding as well, and I can’t wait to see her in person and thank her again for all she did for us. Austyn is not only an incredibly talented photographer, but also a genuinely kind and fantastic person. Thank you, Austyn!

so we got to see it through their eyes as well as have pictures of dear family and friends smiling, laughing, and having a blast not just staged, posed pictures. She knows New Orleans so well and had the ideal spot picked to take our wedding portraits. She also edited the photos beautifully and got them back to us quicker than we expected. My husband and I will cherish all of these images forever.

Not only was Austyn professional from start to finish, she was so easy to work with, and we didn't even notice her half the time snapping away during the day. There are not enough words to explain how amazing the photos turned out. My husband and I relived the day when the package arrived with the photos, (which we received in record time). The quality of the photos are outstanding, and every single guest is still talking about how she captured them at their most joyous. The photos were retouched to perfection, they were candid, natural, and had a wonderful journalistic feeling to them which was exactly (or even more so) than what we had imagined. She blends so well into the background that people really let down their guards and the result is this beautiful photo story that transports you right back to that moment and let's you hold it in your hands. Photos were at the top of our priority list, so we knew we had to go with a photographer who placed the same kind of importance on truly capturing our special day. I'm not sure I could be happier than we were with Austyn's work. The photos feel genuine to who we are as a couple while really capturing the electricity that was in the air that day. There were a fair share of sweeping, romantic images of course, but some of my favorites are the ones featuring goofy faces and open-mouthed laughs - the little bits of quiet humanity she captured. I'm struggling right now with which images (of the hundreds she captured for us ) to print and frame, because frankly if I could be surrounded by them all day, every day...I would. I know that these images are going to be a source of joy and strength for me on bad days and good days alike and that, one day, we'll show them to our grandchildren as we tell them the story of our love.
