ree are talented artists who listened to what I did (and did not) want. During the appointments they regularly checked in with me on my thoughts of how my look was progressing. They would make recommendations, but never pushed anything if I said no. It truly felt like a partnership. Each day I got the perfect look. On the wedding day, my mom and aunt also got their hair/make up done and loved the results. I would highly recommend their services.

full makeup done, then was told that the stylist for my hair and salon owner, Ari, was out of town. When I reached out to the coordinator via email, she said "oh I'm sorry that Ari wasn't available for your trial" - as if it was no big deal that I had half my trial completed and I had used my only available afternoon of the month. This was ultimately rescheduled with some work flexibility on my end, but no discount on the trial price was even offered for this. On the wedding day, every one of us that had our hair done required several extra bobby pins placed before we even left the airbnb due to loose pieces, buns drooping, etc. Then largest problem occurred with payment for services on the day of -- my mom picked up the bill while my hair was still being done, and paid whatever she was told. When I attempted to split the tab for my bridesmaids & I the day after our wedding, numbers weren't adding up unless a 50% tip ($500) was given. I requested an itemized receipt to properly split the costs for our group, but unfortunately it has been 2.5 weeks & several emails to the coordinator, with still no resolution. The only information provided thus far is that the $125 deposit does not go towards your final bill, which is a very unusual method & one that should be explained to clients. The lack of communication and transparency with both scheduling trials and paying for services is terrible, and you don't need this stress right before your wedding. I would not recommend this salon to anyone!

orking with the coordinator was super easy and we went back and forth on the timeline a few times, but it was all super easy! All my bridesmaids were so happy with how their makeup turned out. They even commented it was the best they have ever gotten! The package I got came with a blow out so I went before my rehearsal dinner and ladies I highly recommend doing that. It was so nice to have my hair "done" for it. There was buffer in the timeline which was nice because one of the girls ended up wanting to get her hair done too. appoint! Ari and everyone on her team are SO talented (Kelly and Lauren, in addition to Ari), and made everyone look stunning. They take the time to make sure the everyone looks their best and feels beautiful (no assembly line here!). The moms were a little nervous about having their makeup done, but Ari and her team quickly put them at ease. The hair and make-up also held up all day, and everyone looked as good at the end of the night as they did at the beginning.
The team at AV Beauty Bar was also SO easy to work with, throughout the entire process, and no matter what curveballs and last minute changes we had to make. Heather, who handles booking, was so nice and so responsive - we had originally booked only makeup, but she stepped in and arranged for the team to also provide hair after the vendor we had originally booked canceled the week of the wedding (she truly was a lifesaver). Honestly, I can't say enough good things about AV Beauty Bar, and highly, highly recommend them!

t as if I was a burden and the stylist seemed put off by me being there. My mom and friend also independently commented on the uncomfortable atmosphere as well. Aside from this, I was very pleased with the results of the trial run: a simple up-do and natural looking make-up; both were fantastic and just what I wanted so I decided to continue to use AV Beauty Bar. I was very disappointed on the day of the wedding. My hair was not the same as it was during the trial run and it fell out before I even went down the aisle, whereas the trial run hair lasted all day. A friend of mine had to fix my hair twice before the ceremony. By the time of the reception it had completely fallen out. I will say, their make-up skills are just amazing! Natural and just what I wanted. I was just very disappointed in the atmosphere and the hair considering the amount we paid for the service.

ke to her she was responsive, friendly, and detail oriented. I wear mineral makeup daily, and keep things pretty natural. She took this into account during my makeup trial. The airbrushed makeup is a must! It felt much lighted than I expected, the coverage was great, and it lasted the test of time. She made me feel comfortable wearing more makeup that I normally would. I felt so beautiful after Ari had finished her work.
She also did a hair trial a couple of weeks before the wedding. I showed her my pinterest pictures and she helped me refine what would look best with my face shape and hair color. She took my initial idea and made it even better. She ended up suggesting a great idea to put some of the extra lace pieces from my dress in my hair. That looked amazing.
The day of the wedding the whole team was great to work with. They were on time, professional, and so friendly. They put everyone at ease from myself, to the bridesmaids, to the mothers. They took into account any last-minute suggestions the girls had and they didn’t leave until everyone was comfortable with how they looked. You won’t regret scheduling a trial with Ari and the AV Beauty Bar team!
