Working with AV Beauty Bar was a great experience that I'd recommend to anyone. I had a trial a couple weeks before the wedding and Tevis worked with me to ensure that I loved my m...
akeup and hair. On the actual day she did an amazing job working efficiently and beautifully! My mom and sister loved their makeup and hair too and I was so happy with my final look. I would hire her again in a heartbeat!
I had a great experience with AV Beauty Bar. The owner, Ari, did my make up for our engagement photo shoot. Then Janelle and Shelbie did my hair and make-up for the wedding. All th...
ree are talented artists who listened to what I did (and did not) want. During the appointments they regularly checked in with me on my thoughts of how my look was progressing. They would make recommendations, but never pushed anything if I said no. It truly felt like a partnership. Each day I got the perfect look. On the wedding day, my mom and aunt also got their hair/make up done and loved the results. I would highly recommend their services.
I unfortunately utilized AV Beauty Bar for my wedding hair & makeup. I set up my trial over a month in advance due to my busy medical resident schedule. I arrived to my trial, had...
full makeup done, then was told that the stylist for my hair and salon owner, Ari, was out of town. When I reached out to the coordinator via email, she said "oh I'm sorry that Ari wasn't available for your trial" - as if it was no big deal that I had half my trial completed and I had used my only available afternoon of the month. This was ultimately rescheduled with some work flexibility on my end, but no discount on the trial price was even offered for this. On the wedding day, every one of us that had our hair done required several extra bobby pins placed before we even left the airbnb due to loose pieces, buns drooping, etc. Then largest problem occurred with payment for services on the day of -- my mom picked up the bill while my hair was still being done, and paid whatever she was told. When I attempted to split the tab for my bridesmaids & I the day after our wedding, numbers weren't adding up unless a 50% tip ($500) was given. I requested an itemized receipt to properly split the costs for our group, but unfortunately it has been 2.5 weeks & several emails to the coordinator, with still no resolution. The only information provided thus far is that the $125 deposit does not go towards your final bill, which is a very unusual method & one that should be explained to clients. The lack of communication and transparency with both scheduling trials and paying for services is terrible, and you don't need this stress right before your wedding. I would not recommend this salon to anyone!
I always knew I wanted to work with AV Beauty Bar for my wedding day. They were one of the first vendors I contacted because I knew they booked quickly. The team was so professiona...
l and calm and they made my bridesmaids and myself look stunning. I appreciated how they worked with my hair texture (I had my natural curls) and my fair skin look radiant all day.
We (even my fiance!) go to AV Beauty Bar regularly so it was a no-brainer to also have them do my hair & makeup. Even though we had a small group - just myself and my MOH - they we...
re good to do on-site hair & makeup, which was awesome. On the day of, my hair and makeup looked AMAZING and I felt so beautiful - I can't wait for my photos to come back. Communication was great, no issues at all. Would 100% recommend.
We loved having AV Beauty Bar do hair and makeup for our wedding! They did hair & makeup for 12 people, including me, my 9 bridesmaids, my mom, and MIL. Everyone was SO happy with ...
the way their look turned out! I typically get nervous about having my makeup done professionally as I have a pretty natural look, but I LOVED what my makeup artist (Kelly Schroder) did and I still felt very natural/like myself. Highly recommend!
I've been going to AV Beauty to get my hair done for the last couple years and have seen all the beautiful brides they have done up that I knew I wanted them to be at my wedding. W...
orking with the coordinator was super easy and we went back and forth on the timeline a few times, but it was all super easy! All my bridesmaids were so happy with how their makeup turned out. They even commented it was the best they have ever gotten! The package I got came with a blow out so I went before my rehearsal dinner and ladies I highly recommend doing that. It was so nice to have my hair "done" for it. There was buffer in the timeline which was nice because one of the girls ended up wanting to get her hair done too. And we still finished in time to enjoy mimosas. Love AV Beauty!!
I could not recommend Ari and the team at AV Beauty Bar more. I knew I wanted to hire them after seeing the makeup at a friend's wedding (which was gorgeous), and they did not dis...
appoint! Ari and everyone on her team are SO talented (Kelly and Lauren, in addition to Ari), and made everyone look stunning. They take the time to make sure the everyone looks their best and feels beautiful (no assembly line here!). The moms were a little nervous about having their makeup done, but Ari and her team quickly put them at ease. The hair and make-up also held up all day, and everyone looked as good at the end of the night as they did at the beginning.
The team at AV Beauty Bar was also SO easy to work with, throughout the entire process, and no matter what curveballs and last minute changes we had to make. Heather, who handles booking, was so nice and so responsive - we had originally booked only makeup, but she stepped in and arranged for the team to also provide hair after the vendor we had originally booked canceled the week of the wedding (she truly was a lifesaver). Honestly, I can't say enough good things about AV Beauty Bar, and highly, highly recommend them!
We used AVBB for wedding hair (Johni) and makeup (Ari) and absolutely loved it! They did a great job of listening to what I was looking for, actively asked for feedback after the t...
rials, and were upbeat & positive people to have around the morning of the wedding. Plus, both my (and bridesmaids) hair and makeup looks lasted the whole night, even through a couple hours of outdoor photos in the August heat. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
My wedding was this weekend and my wedding stylist were Nikole & Alexis. Everything was perfect and super professional! Everyones (12 people) hair turned out AMAZING. I would re...
commend them to anyone!
AV Beauty Bar provided bridal services for a few of my friends' and cousins' weddings and so when it was time for me to begin looking at vendors I knew where I wanted to start. I k...
new I wanted a natural yet glamorous look and AV Beauty Bar delivered! I also knew what kind of hair style I did not want but was not able to articulate precisely what I wanted - Ari was able to understand my vision and created the absolute perfect hairstyle. AV Beauty Bar was so easy to work with and communicated effectively and efficiently - I planned my Cincinnati wedding while living out of town and they were always available to promptly answer my questions and help me plan my day. They have the wedding beauty business down to a perfected science and I highly recommend them! (Also, their salon in Over the Rhine is incredibly cute!).
Working with Ari for my wedding hair and makeup was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The online booking process was a breeze. She even came in on a Sunday to do my tria...
l since I lived out of town. The day of the wedding, she arrived promptly and was very professional. My mom and sister loved their hair and makeup, and she made them feel so comfortable during the process. My hair and makeup looked perfect, exactly as I dreamed it would. Overall I can't recommend Ari at AV Beauty Bar highly enough!
Absolutely amazing!!! I was introduced to the ladies of AV Beauty Bar almost a year ago and knew I needed them for my wedding day glam. Sarah is such a talented make up artist and ...
perfectly executed the natural look I wanted for such an important day. Tiffany is an absolute updo angel. She patiently worked with me to find what hairstyle I wanted for my wedding day and it was more perfect than I could have imagined. Any time I was with the ladies from AV Beauty, I felt like we were all friends, just hanging out, and that was such a calming feeling on the morning of my wedding. I genuinely appreciated the attention to detail from everyone at AV Beauty Bar and I will be highly recommending them to anyone who needs their hair and makeup done for any occasion.
Sydney was great! Hired her for makeup for my wedding - I wanted light and airy. I have red hair and freckles and was so afraid heavy makeup wouldn't look normal on me. I wanted to...
feel myself and with Sydney's makeup application I did. She realized I wasn't sold on the lip color we did at the trial so she brought a few different ones the day of to mix and match and they worked perfectly! She was only there to do my makeup the day of, but was giving all my bridesmaids tips and tricks on different products and applications! Would definitely recommend AV BB!
Sydney did my hair and makeup for my wedding and did a great job. She was flexible even with plans changing last minute and a professional throughout the entire process. I did not...
do a trial beforehand, but she had no problem creating the look I envisioned. The result was that I felt gorgeous but I still felt like I looked like myself, which was very important to me!
So happy I booked with them! Natural, but glam makeup, exact hair I wanted, and not to mention just super fun gals! I can usually be awkward, but they make getting your hair and ma...
keup done a blast. I now even get spray tans here. I had Kelly for makeup and Tiffany for hair.
Sydney Meinking is absolutely amazing! She exceeded my hopes and expectations and I have never looked so good haha. She is a wonder with hair and make-up. She was able to give me a...
nd my bridesmaids unique and specific hairstyles and achieved exactly what we wanted. She also found a way to make our make-up look natural but absolutely gorgeous and perfect. She is just incredible. Highly highly recommend! Not to mention- she is super fun, cute, adorable and a blast to have around on your wedding day!
I had a very small bridal party so we only needed one makeup/hair artist and it was Ari. She’s talented, efficient, and fun to be around! All of the makeup and hair was perfect!
The gals at AV Beauty bar are just so sweet and they knew exactly how to interpret all of the girls hair and makeup needs for our wedding day. We all looked like the best versions ...
of ourselves -- not too over the top glam, but still gorgeous. Everyone was really happy and our hair and makeup look great. The costs were a little high, but they are competitive for bridal hair and makeup costs in the area (unfortunately they all are too high, in my opinion).
I am so glad I had AV Beauty do my hair and makeup for my wedding. I never thought I could actually really love my hair, but Sydney proved me wrong! I've had my hair done for other...
weddings, but even then the styles felt too "done up." My style looked natural, but sooo much better than my everyday. I loved my makeup as well - - more than I normally wear, but photographed and lasted wonderfully. Definitely worth it!
I loved having the girls from AV beauty bar do the hair and make up for my wedding! They were professional, but fun to be around and really enjoyed themselves! They did an amazing ...
job on everyone’s hair and makeup and listened to each person! Everyone was happy with what they were able to do! Also they make a schedule for you, so it’s one less thing you need to do for the big day! I would definitely recommend AV beauty!!
My hair and makeup was perfect! So thrilled by the entire experience! I was offered excellent customer service and thoroughly delighted by what I received before the ceremony. Also...
, other members of the bridal party were highly satisfied. Thank you AV Beauty Bar!
I was very excited to use AV Beauty Bar for my wedding based on reviews and pictures I had seen online. When I arrived for my bridal trial it was an uncomfortable experience. I fel...
t as if I was a burden and the stylist seemed put off by me being there. My mom and friend also independently commented on the uncomfortable atmosphere as well. Aside from this, I was very pleased with the results of the trial run: a simple up-do and natural looking make-up; both were fantastic and just what I wanted so I decided to continue to use AV Beauty Bar. I was very disappointed on the day of the wedding. My hair was not the same as it was during the trial run and it fell out before I even went down the aisle, whereas the trial run hair lasted all day. A friend of mine had to fix my hair twice before the ceremony. By the time of the reception it had completely fallen out. I will say, their make-up skills are just amazing! Natural and just what I wanted. I was just very disappointed in the atmosphere and the hair considering the amount we paid for the service.
Ari and Tiffany at AV Beauty Bar are great! Ari helped coordinate the details of the schedule for my trial and for the wedding day. At my hair trial Tiffany was so welcoming and ...
fun to work with. I was able to describe exactly what I wanted and she was able to make my hair look even better than I imagined! My bridal party and I had a blast working with Tiffany on the day of the wedding! Everybody loved her and their hairstyles! Thank you, Tiffany, for helping make us look great!
You NEED to have Ari from AV Beauty Bar do you hair and makeup for you wedding day (and more). I have never in my life felt more beautiful on my wedding day, but better than that, ...
I still felt like me! She chose makeup that highlighted my best features to make me look the best. The look was so natural and beautiful, everything I could have wanted. Oh, and my hair was epic too! She was magic!
You won’t go wrong selecting AV Beauty Bar for your wedding. She came highly recommended from my sister in law and I knew she would be at the top of my list. From the moment, I spo...
ke to her she was responsive, friendly, and detail oriented. I wear mineral makeup daily, and keep things pretty natural. She took this into account during my makeup trial. The airbrushed makeup is a must! It felt much lighted than I expected, the coverage was great, and it lasted the test of time. She made me feel comfortable wearing more makeup that I normally would. I felt so beautiful after Ari had finished her work.
She also did a hair trial a couple of weeks before the wedding. I showed her my pinterest pictures and she helped me refine what would look best with my face shape and hair color. She took my initial idea and made it even better. She ended up suggesting a great idea to put some of the extra lace pieces from my dress in my hair. That looked amazing.
The day of the wedding the whole team was great to work with. They were on time, professional, and so friendly. They put everyone at ease from myself, to the bridesmaids, to the mothers. They took into account any last-minute suggestions the girls had and they didn’t leave until everyone was comfortable with how they looked. You won’t regret scheduling a trial with Ari and the AV Beauty Bar team!
