I loved my experience at Avenue 42! Communication was very easy and they were responsive, and every stylist is kind, well spoken, and artistically wonderful. I chose to have my hair done in the salon for both my trial and day of. The salon is beautiful, and both the trial and day of went perfectly. My stylist was Bre, and she was so kind, personable, and worked will with any concerns or preferences I had with my hair. My hair was exactly as I imagined and held up for the entirety of my outdoor wedding. I cannot recommend Bre and Avenue 42 enough!

I was so happy with this choice for hair styling and make up! My mom and I did a hair and make up trial, where the stylist matched our visions perfectly. I knew we were in good hands the day of. The team arrived on time, was professional, and nailed every one of my bridesmaid's requests. I loved that we all felt "done up" but still looked like ourselves. Would highly recommend!

Ariella did my wedding day hair styling, and absolutely nailed it! She worked with my inspiration photos and some pins I wanted to incorporate, and achieved the look I was going for perfectly. She asked lots of questions while she was working to make sure I was happy with every detail. My hair also does not curl easily, but the curls she made stayed put for my entire wedding day, through photos, dancing, and the after party. I highly recommend her and Avenue 42 for wedding hair!

Jane, Krista, and Allison did an amazing job glamming up me, my mom, and my bridesmaids! Everyone looked stunning and had a great time getting their hair and makeup done. They were also extremely timely and kept us on schedule.

I had an excellent experience working with Natalie and her team. Everyone at Avenue 42 is warm and easy to work with. I did a hair and make up trial at their Patterson location which was bright and fun. Natalie did my make up during the trial and day of, so I knew I was working with an expert. I'm happy I did a trial because I changed my mind on some of the colors and eyelash length from the trial to day of and Natalie was very receptive and helpful with this. I had hair and make up done for my bridesmaids and mothers and morning of, everything went quickly and smoothly. Our photographer was excited that we were working with Avenue 42 because he knew we'd be at the venue on time! Everyone looked great and Natalie and Jessica took the time to listen to how everyone wanted their hair and make up. I can't recommend them enough!

I highly recommend Ave 42 and am so happy I chose them for my wedding. My experience was great from the start, Diane was always so helpful and responsive during the booking process. I was so happy with the work that Avenue 42's three stylists did for my wedding. I had seven bridesmaids, MOB, MOH, SIL, and myself. All had hair done and most had makeup done. Becky, Jane, and Jaynuh were professional, on time, and friendly! Becky did my trial as well, and she was so communicative and helpful with hair pieces and my veil. My bridesmaids ranged in the hair and makeup styles that they wanted, and these three women hit the mark with every one of them! All of them were happy with how they looked. What could've been a little stressful with lots of people in one place at our VRBO in Charlottesville was seamless and fun. Would definitely recommend!

Natalie and her team are absolutely unreal to work with and surpassed all my expectations. From the trial to the wedding weekend, Natalie and her team were patient, genuine, and executed my vision perfectly. The bridal party looked absolutely stunning and everyone felt so beautiful. My mother and the groom’s mother were so welcomed and all of the stylists listened to their questions and needs without hesitation. The products were high quality, and they spared no expense in providing me and my group with the best. Natalie even did a last minute airbrush session with my Man of Honor, making him picture perfect with a flawless complexion. Best of all their new Patterson location is an absolute dream and the staff was super friendly and attentive. Avenue 42 is the best in Richmond and I will absolutely be going back for future events.

Brandie from Avenue 42 did hair for my wedding and was absolutely amazing! Not only is she kind, encouraging, and easy to talk to, she is extremely talented! She expertly styled my hair, five bridesmaids, and two moms with different types of hair and styles that lasted all night and received many compliments. While I was taking my first look pictures, Brandie even saved the day and sewed one of my bridesmaid's dress that had a broken zipper. She is a wonderful person and stylist and everyone felt so beautiful because of her! I highly recommend Brandie and Avenue 42.

Working with Avenue 42 was a dream! I schedule a hair/makeup trial about 2 months before my wedding, I showed Jane my vision and she just did it...in one try. I was amazed!! She can look at a photo and highlight out all of your natural features in ways I have never seen before. Day of - I had a team of 3 for 1 bride, 7 bridesmaids and 3 mom's. The team worked so fast, were so friendly and extremely talented. Sometimes when you get your hair/makeup for a wedding done it can look a little scary (cakey, too much eye shadow, big fake eye lashes) but this was the opposite. Everyone looked GORGEOUS, natural and just like themselves but with a bit of glam. I cannot recommend this team and Jane specifically enough. Thank you so much for making my girls and me feel like our most beautiful selves on my wedding day! Your team was amazing work with!!

Avenue 42 did an amazing job with hair and makeup for me and my bridesmaids this June! First, I had a great trial experience where both Allison and Emili were so useful in helping me define my wedding day look before the big day. Day of, they were both prompt, professional, and personable, but they kept the mood light and festive, and all of my bridesmaids had so much fun with them. Allison executed the up do of my dreams and Emili’s makeup skills made me feel my most beautiful (in the most natural way possible). They’re amazing; please don’t look anywhere else for your wedding day hair and makeup needs!

Kara and Jane did the makeup and hair for myself and my bridal party at the beginning of this month. It had been over two years since my trial (thanks, Covid!) and Jane hadn't been the stylist that we had booked at that time, so I was a little nervous! Both of them were on time, sweet, professional, and everyone looked amazing! I would definitely recommend Avenue 42 if you are looking for bridal hair and makeup! Both my makeup and hair stayed perfectly in place all day and all night!

Avenue 42 was an amazing choice for my wedding. I had the team do both hair and makeup for me and the bridal party on the big day. I also visited the salon to do a trial before the wedding and they were so easy to work with. I have never really liked my hair and makeup in the past when I have gotten it done for events and really LOVED the way I looked on my wedding day. They are all stars.

I loved everything about my girls' and my wedding hair and makeup look! I had Heather for hair and Kara for makeup, both ladies did an amazing job. I had my bridal trial ahead of time to test out hair styles and makeup for my bridal portraits. The hair and makeup lasted all day through humidity, rain, and still looked beautiful at the bridal portraits. On the wedding day, Kara and Heather showed up early and were able to complete my Mom, mother in law, 4 bridesmaids and my hair/makeup in ~5 hours. Everyone looked so beautiful and got the look that they were asking for. When asked questions, both ladies gave honest opinions and were spot on with recommendations. I would definitely book Avenue 42 again!

I hired Avenue 42 to provide hair styling services for my wedding day. Jesika and Lexie were so talented, nice, and fun to have in our suite while getting ready! They were both extremely timely and did a great job matching the styles that my 8 bridesmaids, MIL, and Mom wanted on Wedding Day. They were very professional and helped make everyone feel so beautiful. The booking process with Avenue 42 was a breeze and they were very flexible with the changes we had to make to our wedding. I am so thankful that they were a part of our wedding day!

I hired Avenue 42 to do my hair and makeup for my wedding, as well as my bridesmaids and my mom and mother of the groom (7 total). Jahna did hair and Meg did makeup. Meg showed up at the venue at the same time that me and the bridal party did (early, which was great). They were both so nice and easy to work with. Our hair and makeup looked great. We are all a bunch of ladies that wear some makeup, but not a lot, so it was really nice to have Meg guide us through what to do and what would work best for us - especially for my mom, who rarely wears any makeup. She made it really easy and things went according to schedule. Jahna did a great job with hair - I wasn't sure about a choice so Jahna would let me adjust and fix as necessary. The end result turned out perfectly! I highly recommend booking them for your wedding.

Avenue 42 did my hair and makeup for my wedding, as well as my bridesmaids and my mother and mother of the groom. They were on location where we were having the wedding and they were all on time. They were so nice and easy to work with and we all looked amazing! I highly recommend booking them for any event!

Avenue 42 was AMAZING to work with! I had 9 total people getting hair and makeup done the morning of my wedding, and Ave 42 suggested we have 3 stylists – one for hair, one for makeup, and one that did both. Jane did my bridal hair and makeup and could not have done a more perfect job. I wanted something soft, romantic, and not too dramatic, and she absolutely delivered. When I went in for my trial she was so helpful talking through my vision, and redid my hair until it was perfect. And it looked even better on the wedding day itself! We had Kara doing makeup and Noelle doing hair for my bridesmaids, and everyone was so thrilled with how they looked. All three ladies were so lovely as well, and made the morning of my wedding so fun and easy. The winds reached up to 40mph during my outdoor ceremony, and everyone still looked flawless afterwards. Highly recommend working with Ave 42 – they are professional, talented, and just all around wonderful.

We are two brides who don't wear a lot of makeup. Krista made us look very natural, but special, for our big day. Neither of us came in with a plan for exactly what we wanted for hair, but Spencer helped us come up with a style that looked elegant and not overdone.

I hired Ave 42 to do hair and makeup for me and my bridal party for my wedding, and they did not disappoint! Diane was wonderful and organized with coordinating dates for my hair and makeup trial, as well as navigating date changes due to COVID-19. We had 3 stylists for the wedding day, and they were all so sweet and did an amazing job! Everyone got airbrush makeup and different hair styles, and all looked absolutely gorgeous. They even finished up a little ahead of schedule!

They are amazing! We had Natalie for make up and Chloe for hair and they could not have been better. They both listened to exactly what we wanted and everyone looked incredible! I am beyond thrilled they were able to be there on our day.

This group of makeup artists is wonderful! I had Brittany take care of my bridal party’s make up on my wedding day. She was very sweet. She made my bridesmaids and myself look stunning, fresh faced, and luminous. She even took the time to make a big deal of my sister with special needs – making her feel special and beautiful and just like “one of the girls”. I definitely appreciated that she took the extra effort to make sure I was satisfied with my makeup. I didn’t feel confident in my initial lipstick choice and she didn’t let me leave the chair until I was 100% satisfied. So glad she made me get what I really wanted. The entire team was a pleasure to work with. They made booking and everything really easy. Highly recommend.

The girls at Avenue 42 are amazing. My first experience with them was as a bridesmaid for a friend’s wedding. As I began to plan my own wedding; I immediately knew I needed them for my hair and make up needs. Diane was so professional and efficient during the initial booking process and remained so in scheduling my trial session. As COVID 19 hit, Diane was flexible and accommodating to changes in the number of styling services required and the changing location of service. Natalie and Jane were phenomenal during the trial session and more than willing to make changes for the final wedding look. Between Natalie, Jane, and Heather the hair and make up for the wedding day went flawlessly. My bridesmaids raved about the whole experience, several saying that it was the best hair and make they had ever received.

What a wonderful experience - even working through changes due to the pandemic! Diane was fabulous as she worked with scheduling and rescheduling. On the wedding day, we had the bridal suite. Natalie and her team did a wonderful job juggling 10 bridesmaids, the bride and the MOB. The girls all looked gorgeous! We had brunch catered in. It was great to have the kitchenette available. We were able to dress there and take the trolley to the venue. I highly recommend Avenue 42!

My fiance and I had a March 14th wedding, and we were in the very first wave of postponements due to the pandemic. The Avenue 42 team was very understanding as we explored next steps. They have been willing to work with us throughout this very difficult process and we are so grateful for their flexibility and prompt communication! We have been in contact with Diane throughout our booking and now looking at rescheduling. Diane is consistently prompt, clear, and helpful. Before the Covid stuff hit, planning and coordinating for the big day with Avenue 42 was a breeze. Diane took care of arranging the stylists, scheduling, and the time frame for the day. All I had to was provide the number of women and the time I wanted to be done by! My trial run went fabulously. I was able to meet my stylists. Spencer and Chloe were easy to talk and respected my preference at every turn. They are also great at what they do. We are so thrilled to be working with Avenue 42 for our wedding!

Jane Steele at Avenue 42 did my bridal hair and makeup at the Ave 42 salon. From our initial hair and makeup trial to the big day itself, Jane was so easygoing, professional, and very open to any tweaks or changes. She had me looking and feeling my best for my wedding day, and my hair and makeup held beautifully throughout the 12-hour day! Thanks Jane for all of your beautiful work!

Ave 42 provided hair and makeup for my wedding on October 26, 2019 in Charlottesville, and I was very happy with the service. My original makeup artist was no longer able to make my wedding due to moving, but they had everything resolved when they contacted me about it, and the owner, Natalie, ended up coming back early from maternity leave for us! Heather did our hair, which turned out beautifully. I met with Heather twice before the wedding day and still ended up changing my mind on the day of, but her professionalism and skill under pressure resulted in the most beautiful updo! The only downfall was that the airbrush machine was not working on the day of, which was a bummer since that was supposed to be offered, but at least they had backup. Overall, I had a good experience with Ave 42!

We had Kara for makeup and Sydney for hair, and all I can say is Dream Team! They are the best. They listened to us and did exactly what we asked. We had so many compliments on our hair and makeup for our wedding. They were also just a pleasure to be around during the hours before our wedding. Highly recommend!

Overall I am pleased with Avenue 42. They did a fantastic job accommodating last minute changes, answering emails etc. however on the day of the wedding , a couple of my bridesmaids didn’t really like their hair and asked for a correction. Their hair didn’t hold up through the ceremony even , so they had to let their hair down. Also I asked for some changes of my make up and the last that was doing it didn’t seem very happy that I voiced my opinion I guess. I also had zero time to make corrections to my hair . Other than that the rest was all good

I visit Avenue 42 on a regular basis for my styling needs, so it was a no-brainer to use their team for hair and makeup for our wedding. This was my third time using them for professional hair and makeup, after our engagement photos and elopement ceremony in December. They do beautiful work and nail it every time. They do a lot of weddings, so their ability to create a perfect style based on venue, clothes, and overall description of vibe and style is really impressive. Day of, they are efficient and professional while also putting everyone at ease. I had a range of bridesmaid ages, hair lengths, and comfort with makeup, and Natalie and Jahna worked with everyone's personal styles to ensure all felt beautiful while being themselves. Do yourself a favor and book them right away - They were so flexible with us when our wedding needed to be rescheduled due to Hurricane Florence and were able to get us on their calendar again within nine months, but knowing their quality and popularity, they book fast!

My daughter was married 2 weeks ago. Avenue 42 did her hair for her bridal portrait as well as all of the hair and makeup on the wedding day. They were wonderful! There were 12 bridesmaids, the bride and 2 moms so 15 women all together! They did an amazing job and everyone looked beautiful! Especially the bride!

Noelle and Kara did my hair and makeup and understood exactly what I was envisioning. My bridesmaids and I all looked so natural and everyone's hair looked great! Our hair and makeup lasted all night, even with an entire night of dancing! They traveled to the venue so that my bridesmaids and I could get ready there. They were prompt and had everyone finished with some time to spare! They were so easy to work with, and Diane was very prompt in all of her communication regarding plans and details for the wedding. I would highly recommend Ave 42 to anyone getting married!

Avenue 42 is the best!! All of my girls LOVED their hair and makeup. My stylists were Britny, Spencer, Jane, and Natalie, all of which were professional and very talented. Diane, the wedding booking agent, was easy to work with and provided great suggestions. We used the bridal suite at Avenue 42 day of, which was perfect for my bridal party and they allowed food and drinks! My stylists all had experience with hair extensions, lashes, and airbrush not to mention hundreds of weddings each year. I would highly recommend Avenue 42 for hair and makeup!

Wow! What an amazing job done by BJohn on my hair and makeup trial and then the day-of makeup and hair as well. She spent a lot of time with me determining what would be best for my hair and makeup that day!! We had a great team the day-of as well, on-site at our hotel.. could not have asked for a more patient and kind group of people to get through 10 people that morning! Thank you to Ave 42!

I decided to go with Avenue 42 as our wedding hair stylist after following Heather on Instagram for years. I loved the pictures she posted of the various bridal and bridesmaid hair styling she had done over the years and knew I had to have her for our big day! Once I booked with Heather, I began seeing her at the salon for routine hair maintenance until the wedding. She helped to make sure my hair was the healthiest it could be for my wedding day. On the morning of the wedding, Heather arrived early and was calm, quick, and fun to chat with. She created half-up styles for each of my bridesmaids that highlighted and featured their own personal flair. My girls had many different length and textures of hair, but that did not stop Heather from creating a cohesive look amongst the whole bridal party. I was so happy that each girl was not a clone of the other, but instead was an individual who meshed well with the whole group. When it was my turn, Heather took her time and made sure that my hair was going to hold the whole day. I also had a curled half-up style and she worked to make sure the look would last through our hot July wedding day. I loved that Heather checked in once she’d finished to make sure I was happy with the look. She truly cared about my happiness and wanted me to look my best! Heather worked very quickly, but also very efficiently. She even had time to do some touch ups before her scheduled time was over! I am so appreciative to Heather for being a part of our wedding day. She made me feel like the beautiful bride I wanted to be and was so easy to work with. I would highly recommend her for any of your hair needs!

My bridal party and I had our hair and makeup done at Avenue 42 and I'm so glad we did! The bridal suite upstairs is such a beautiful space! Our hair stylist listened to all our requests and created flattering looks for all of us. Our makeup artist was an absolute god-send. She was incredibly patient when I had a panic-attack and fixed my makeup after I dried my tears. I can't recommend this salon enough!

They are the best! Britny did my hair and make up and was incredible. She made my hair look exactly the way I wanted and incorporated flowers into the style. She also did my make up--it looked so natural and held up in the June heat perfectly! The whole team that did hair and make up was awesome--everyone was SO happy with how they looked, and we loved the chill, but fast paced and efficient vibe on the wedding day!

Spencer and Brittany did a great job on my hair and makeup. I loved my looked, but still felt like me on my special day.
