We had the most magical night for our wedding at Avon Gardens. When touring venues, the gardens immediately stood out as our top choice, and we’re so glad that we chose it for our wedding. Tara was very helpful throughout the entire planning process. We discussed our vision for the night in the planning meetings and trusted that our dream wedding would come to fruition. Looking back, the wedding and reception were better than we could have ever imagined. We were amazed by the level of service for the price point – you don’t have to worry about decorating the place, it’s beautiful as is, but Tara helped us pick out the ceremony flowers and decorations, table centerpieces, and details such as signs and a card box. One of the best parts is that we didn’t have to worry about setting any of this up or taking it down – and on such a busy and important day, that was incredibly helpful! We also loved that we could choose all our own vendors for the day, since many venues require you to use certain vendors. Tara also did a great job of coordinating the entire day. It’s rare to have a venue that also coordinates your day, and we were very thankful to have someone that made everything run so smoothly. Overall, we would highly recommend choosing Avon Gardens as a wedding venue. The beauty of the garden truly does speak for itself, but the staff make everything come to life. Our wedding was the best day of our lives, and we want to thank Avon Gardens for helping to make it so special!

out due to sudden weather changes the Tuesday before our Saturday ceremony, asking about umbrellas and our rainy-day options. I got an automatic "out of office" email reply that stated, "Our wedding coordinators are taking a few vacation days this week. We will return your message when we are back on Thursday". I received a response Thursday afternoon that said "we have plenty of umbrellas available! I'm sorry if my absence caused unnecessary stress. I just took off 2 days in addition to my normal days and didn't think it would hurt".
I want all employees to be able to take time off, but it is unacceptable to do so 3 days before a wedding and not have any backup communication for the upcoming wedding parties who likely would be reaching out that week, bad weather or not.
It wound up raining nearly 5 inches the day of the wedding and they did a good job day-of.

unicative and quick in responses to any questions I had. The venue was absolutely beautiful and it lessens the decorations you have to think about yourself. The only improvement I would have liked to seen was in their communication regarding weather. There is a wood pavilion that you use if it is raining on your day of. For us it had rained in the morning and due to not damaging the grass they had us in the pavilion, however a few aspects were lost after that move. The decorations you see on the aisle for their traditional spot outside were missing (flower baskets and petals along the aisle way), the flower arch they build was not there, and about twenty of our guests did not fit in the pavilion and had to sit at the dinner tables. When I reached out after the wedding for an explanation, they told me that the aisle decorations were a safety hazard on the cement floor and that they dismantled the flower arch to spread some of the decorations across the pavilion. We were reminded that we were told the capacity of the wooden pavilion was 150, but our final number was 157, so the pavilion realistically holds less. Due to the issues, we were given 500 dollars back on our payments which we appreciated.
Overall, the venue is beautiful and the team is easy to work with. The rain plan pavilion was still lovely, just not to the same level as their standard and I was a little disappointed to miss some of the details I was looking forward to especially considering the price. I would recommend this venue, but would recommend a couple to be aware of the weather in correlation with the count of their guests.

We understand that rain/weather is a big stressor for wedding day. Having to deviate from our standard plan is never the outcome we are hoping for. It saddens us to hear that it created a 3 star experience at our venue, despite all of the pros you listed and our efforts to remedy the situation.
We always strive to prioritize safety, and we believe we made the best decisions we could towards that effort. While the decor is slightly different for the rain plan, our staff worked hard to add extra, custom decor for your ceremony in the pavilion. Like you pointed out, some of this decor involved us using the flowers that would normally go on the arbor. We wanted to ensure the flowers/colors you picked out would still be in your ceremony! As we mentioned in our previous email communication, we would love to set up a time that we can decorate your arbor for you to enjoy and take photos with!
One thing we want to note - as we mentioned in our tour and email, the pavilion's capacity for the rain plan is 100 guests, not 150. We want any future couples to be fully aware of the details surrounding our rain plan, as the weather is something out of our control!

kind and helpful with everything for the rehearsal and on the day of the wedding. I think the only con for us was that you’re not able to show up until 3pm the day of the wedding, we wish had more time. But other than that, everything was perfect. Leading up to the wedding they had great communication and were very responsive with any questions I had. The planners are very detailed oriented and make sure to make detailed plans with you for everything before the wedding. They do so much work to make the gardens look perfect for every event. And, being in late July is was definitely hot and humid but they had plenty of swamp coolers to keep everyone cool and comfortable. I would recommend Avon Gardens and all the women on their team for your next event if you’re looking for a beautiful venue with professional and helpful staff.

evening that truly elevated the space (not that it needs it) to a magical experience for us and our guests. I think every single guest made a comment during or after the event that it was the most beautiful wedding venue they’ve ever been to- and they aren’t kidding!! The staff was extremely attentive, flexible, and went the extra mile when it started raining so that the rain wouldn’t rain on our parade. Most importantly, thank you Tori for helping us plan for the last 2+ years and for being so accommodating when we had to reschedule due to COVID last year. You helped us with every detail throughout the process to make our wedding so special and I can’t thank you enough for that! do it justice, you have to go walk around in person and see all of it! Beyond being gorgeous, Tori and the rest of the staff were incredibly responsible and wonderful to work with. Tori even FaceTimed with us one day when we weren't able to be there in person but needed to make some decisions! I hardly noticed the staff on the day of the wedding, but they were there in the background doing so much to make our guests comfortable. They take care of so much of the decorating and the flowers (like the arbor at the ceremony site) which is so helpful. We truly loved this place and the people here!

and grateful with the staff from Avon gardens who made our wedding dreams come true. They helped us decorate putting every details in order. They were so attentive in every details for the wedding. During our final meeting, to our rehearsal before the wedding and the day of the wedding. They made every wish and detail possible to even having our projector placed for our wedding video to show. They made us feel every time welcomed. The place is beautiful there’s changing room with cool air, bathrooms outside . In the night they place candles around and lights it’s romantic and magical. The Gardens are absolutely beautiful. (You will get AMAZING wedding pictures!). Everything looked just lovely, from the ceremony site to the reception area. During our outdoor reception, it unfortunately downpoured for about 3 hours, (almost our entire reception), and the staff was out there in the rain, clearing away the puddles and helping things to run as smoothly as they could. It could have been a horrible evening and they honestly saved it. I cannot recommend Avon Gardens enough. If you want a relatively stress free wedding day with beautiful pictures, this is the place for you. Don't waste your time touring other places. This is it.

We had amazing vendors who made the day seamless! I will say, they do have a set way of doing things there, with set decor they encourage you to use. I wanted certain decor as I was going for a "french garden look", that I DIY'd for my wedding, and so we had our planner and the Avon Gardens planner set that up. They are pretty strict when it comes to certain things, such as set up time, using ladders, too much decor. However, we were able to get everything executed that we wanted! Stacey and Karen were very helpful in walking us through how the day will go during the rehearsal. The reception area is gorgeous once everything comes together. I highly recommend having your wedding here! You won't regret it! Our guests raved about how beautiful it all was! Thank you ladies!

They also took care of all the major decorations at the altar, down the isle, the petals, etc. literally saving you a fortune on a lot of the extras. It is an outside venue but they have a plan B for if it rains and they watch the weather like a hawk. There are hundreds of candles they light throughout the gardens and twinkling lights for the reception. It's simply a work of art and they did a fantastic job organizing and directing all the things that went on behind the scenes so you don't have to. We can't say enough good things about them.

it short, because I want several people to read it, but I’m not sure I can, because we had such a phenomenal experience at this venue. If you or anyone you know want to get married with an outdoor setting, this is the place. Not only is it a very beautiful setting, but everyone at Avon Gardens is so accommodating and made my daughter’s day (which made my day) as stress free as they possibly could have (a bride is always going to feel a little stressed no matter). At Avon Gardens the bride can seriously be stress free. They are prepared for anything (even if rain pops up at the last minute, which happened at my daughter’s wedding), and handle so many of the little details with quick solutions and in a very professional manner. The staff are all behind the scenes lighting candles, lights and making sure all is going according to plan. And if you need a bartender, Sherry is your girl. She also works at Avon Gardens and is AMAZING. A lot of our guests raved about her, and I could not be more pleased that she was a big part of the festivities making sure our guests were taken care of.
I seriously have nothing negative to say about this venue. Please check out Avon Gardens, and I promise you you will not be sorry if you decide to use them for your wedding venue!

ned at the beauty of the landscape and decor that the venue put together. Everything was absolutely perfect. I received so many compliments from my guests of how naturally beautiful the entire venue was. I had various options of places to take all of my wedding photos.
Karen and Stacy were a dream to work with and offered their advice whenever needed. They made the planning easy and were always responsive. I was really worried about the weather but we had a gorgeous day (although hot!). That didn’t even matter though because the venue had outdoor conditioners, fans, and water for all the guests as they entered the ceremony. I would recommend this venue to anyone trying to plan an event of any size. I’m already trying to think of a reason to get back!

the wedding day. We were able to drop everything off the day before the wedding. It was such a relief to not have to force my family members to set up our entire reception venue. Before our ceremony, my husband and I were able to walk through and see everything almost completed. The entire night, the staff was there helping whenever and wherever they could. My parents, in laws, and my husband and I were able to completely enjoy our night without worrying about anything. We loved having our wedding reception at Avon Gardens and I would highly recommend this venue to someone looking for a naturally beautiful location for a wedding!!

ot a plan at all and if it storms forget it! Communication with bride's family doesn't exist so when the plans needed to change for last minute hiccups the staff didn't know who we were since we lived out of town and despite us paying for the wedding they didn't acknowledge that we had aegitimate vested interest in making changes for the sake of safety of our guests nor the fluidity of the wedding. Because of the rain/storm, the parents of the bride and groom were not placed in seats where the cows could be heard and the guests were placed under a tent that collected water which collapsed shortly after the vows were completed. Fortunately, no one was hurt even though an elderly guest was trapped and for the level of experience and the amount of money spent this venue was a disaster. The excuse given to me was that the weather couldn't be controlled. Given my experience with weddings, I was very disappointed. I was also upset for the rude comments made to me in reference to questions I and my family asked since guests were coming to us for guidance. We appeared to be improperly prepared which is something I am not accustomed to in event planning. The bride and groom were happy and that was important but guests were not comfortable and in our opinion safe due to the weather. Another complaint was signage about what entrance everyone was to go to. Better assistance should have been provided during the rehearsal.

tructures were built and decorations added. It is truly gorgeous. You need to provide minimal decorations yourself -- we just brought a few things for the tables.
This place is a well-oiled wedding machine. There are pros and cons to this.
Pros: They know what they're doing. They have plans A, B, and C covered. They've done this a zillion times and they know what can go wrong and how to address it. You definitely feel like they have everything under control during the rehearsal and the wedding day itself. When you pay for this venue, you are also getting a day-of coordinator. As a bride, you don't have to think about or worry about anything. It's all being done right. This is invaluable.
Cons: Sometimes I felt like just another money-making bride being thrown into the machine. Communication can be weak, especially if your wedding date is not approaching soon. If you are trying to plan ahead for your wedding, it can be tough to get in touch with anyone from the venue until you are about a month or so away -- I assume this is because they are busy with other brides and not ready to focus on your wedding yet. I had periods of time where my emails went unanswered for 40-50 days, or when I (for example) scheduled a rehearsal on the phone and then later got an email asking when I'd like to schedule my rehearsal. That part can be frustrating.
Overall though I would recommend this venue. It is expensive but worth it. Certainly the most gorgeous and convenient place I have ever seen for a wedding and I was lucky to have mine there.

imal anxiety about the venue in the weeks approaching the wedding. They have you bring all your decorations to your rehearsal and set them up so there's no work for the couple or family on the day of the wedding. We had a misunderstanding with the florist and the venue stepped in to help us with that situation with no extra cost, and the result was beautiful. We found them to be very reasonably priced compared to other venues in the area, with fewer restrictions - for example, there's no catering requirement, which was really important to us. We also did not hire a professional wedding bartender, but had an open bar with a couple of people tending the bar who had some experience. They were happy to set up the bar for us and provided ice throughout the evening, and we only had to purchase liquor liability insurance ($150). I would absolutely recommend this venue highly to anyone interested in an outdoor wedding!

erything they can to make your day perfect. The owner Karen is the best and is happy to meet with you to tour the venue and discuss all the possibilities. Another staff helped me with picking out the best tables, floral arrangements for the ceremony site, etc. and was a ton of help. I changed a couple things last minute and they were great about accommodating those changes. That being said....there were some hiccups. I was told at our rehearsal dinner staff would close the gate to the ceremony site between my flower girls and myself for my 'big reveal'. The moment came and there were no staff to be found. They also lost track of our cake plates and silverware so the groom spent a decent amount of time running around trying to locate it. I would highly recommend Avon Gardens for your upcoming nuptials...just be sure that you communicate exactly what you want on your big day.

I was traveling this summer while wedding planning. Avon Gardens was extremely accommodating it was great. Another thing I really loved about it was that since they do so many weddings they are very professional about how they handle things. So many of the details are included- the wedding arbor, petals for the aisle, water for guests, etc. It made it a lot easier for me as a bride to plan the wedding.
The people at Avon Gardens were very kind and understanding. They listened when you told them that you wanted something a particular way or a certain color. They were also genuinely excited to be part of the big day and didn't mind me calling and asking lots of questions- they must get that a lot, but are very patient.
The facility is also great- there are separate changing rooms and a side door for the groom if you don't want to see each other before the wedding. They also light up the gardens with candles after the sunsets, which adds to the beauty and serenity of the venue.
I highly recommend this venue to anyone who wants a beautiful outdoor, simplified wedding. It does have a cost, but it was well worth it in my opinion!

them over the phone instead of via email. They have excellent ceremony and reception sites, built to make the perfect wedding. All of our guests were floored when they saw the place and we were still getting comments on how it was just so beautiful. The only thing negative I can think of is a comment about the tents for the reception. One of the tents is placed a little ways away from the other two tents, which made doing seating charts a bit complicated since we didn't want anyone to feel as if they were less important. Other than that though, it was literally the perfect wedding!!! Could not have asked for a more perfect day. Also, they do have a backup plan for rain, although they say they have very rarely ever had to use it. I selected the higher price range, but our wedding was between $5000-$6000. Totally worth it, we wouldn't have been as happy anywhere else.

a return call within a day when I left a voicemail. They were also all very helpful in getting everything set up on time and having everything ready for us. There are very nice rooms to get ready in for the bride and groom. The set up and the gardens were gorgeous. We had tons of comments from family and friends as to how beautiful it was. If we had to plan it over again, we wouldn't change a thing about the venue!

hen I saw it in person...but I was taken back by the cost. However, after we checked out a few more outdoor venues, I saw that it was very comparable in price & you actually get better service/value here. They can add in chair/table/tent/etc rentals in your price, instead of having to deal with another outside vendor. They also provide little extras (hundreds of candles lit throughout the gardens, bottled water for guests, fans/heaters if needed) & go the extra mile (they do the set up/clean up, let you bring in outside vendors, have workers direct parking & bring elderly guests up in golf carts) that you won't find at similar venues. You don't have to really do any major decorating because the gardens are a perfect backdrop, which saves time & money! We received a ton of compliments about what a great site we'd chosen & that the guests had fun walking around the grounds while pictures were being finished. There were a few mix ups where the wedding coordinator (from Avon Gardens) told us one thing & then the owner told us another thing (regarding entry into the ceremony & arrangement of tables at the reception) but they were easily fixed, just annoying because everyone had planned on one thing & they were changed the day before or day of the wedding. Overall though, we thought it was a great site & fulfilled by dream of a beautiful outdoor laid-back wedding!
