Where do we even start?! We cannot say enough great things about this dream film team. Seth and Emme (Ash & Oak Film Co.) were truly heaven sent. They filmed both our wedding and o...
ur engagement session.
What drew me to them first was their quality, creativity and attention to detail... and most importantly, their warmth, genuineness and care. I work in the film production industry and my standards are high... and they have exceeded every bit of our wedding and engagement session dreams. Not only did they arrive to our wedding day early to get a lay of the land and get right to work, but somehow, they managed to be there for truly every special moment... it was like they had eyes and ears all over the venues (and we were using two different venues that day!).
When it came to the planning and preparation, they really took the time to get to know my then fiance and I's love story. They wrote down notes and remembered all the sweet details and incorporated that into their work and final deliverable. They not only care about your love story, they also care that your wishes and dreams get delivered. They had shotlists and all the details all laid out and it made the whole experience feel like a comfort knowing they were ON IT. They checked in with my husband and I throughout wedding day, as all wedding's dream timelines sometimes have to be adjusted because, well, life. And they adapted and were the heroes of the day.
You can tell they just are so passionate about what they do, are extremely professional, and had a way of capturing all the sweet moments in a way that was never invasive or distracting, but still got to the heart of the day.
From a technical standpoint, between the multiple angles of cameras and coverage, drone footage, gimbal (smooth) footage and the more raw feel... THEY DO IT ALL and they do it well! I love the way they color their videos as well... and the wedding video incorporates not just our wedding footage from the day, but even some old photos and videos from growing up. They also have excellent quality gear, mics, the works!
Seth and Emme brought such a peacefulness and calmness to the day that every bride (and likely groom, too), would appreciate. I could truly go on and on about these two. Just know, you're in the best of hands with Ash & Oak Film Co., they are dependable, brilliant at what they do, passionate beyond measure, creative as heck, and just all around kind, gracious and genuine. My husband and I look forward to calling them for all of life's milestones we'd like captured! Highly recommend for any weddings anywhere. They are worth every penny, flight, hotel stay, etc.
I had my share of vendors who delivered and some who didn't, and there is no better comfort than knowing you can check this off your list and feel full confidence in it. So thankful and blessed to have had you to help capture our fairytale beginning Seth & Emme!
We had the best time at Ash and Oak. The bridal suite and bachelor pad were perfect for getting ready. The ceremony under the big tree was absolutely beautiful and the barn was suc...
h a fun space for the reception.
We had a subtle Star Wars theme and the venue really leaned into it, which made it even more fun. The owner showing up dressed as Princess Leia had everyone cracking up.
We used a lot of the vendors they recommended, either through their events or just by asking, and every single one was great. Our day-of coordinator, Jaidyn, was amazing. As the bride, I felt like everything went smoothly and I was able to enjoy the day without added stress. We also used the day-of decorating service with Hannah and she did a fantastic job. It was so nice not having to worry about a thing.
The bar service was great overall. One thing to keep in mind is to ask how the pricing works. We paid for bar drinks and didn’t realize that applied to all guests, even those under 21, but they worked with us on a solution when I mentioned it wasn’t clear ahead of time. There was also a little confusion about whether the bar would switch to pay-as-you-go after the hosted hours, but the bartenders ended up staying longer, which we really appreciated. They were great to work with and very flexible, it was just one of those things I wish I had clarified sooner.
Overall, we are so happy we chose this venue. It was a beautiful, fun, and memorable day. Thank you to the entire team for making it so special.
Ash and Oak is amazing! Not only does the barn have lots of gorgeous charm, it was transformed into a beautiful wedding venue! From the chandeliers to the stringed lights, this ven...
ue is breathtaking! The staff was amazing throughout the months and days leading up to the wedding! They are super friendly and professional! On our wedding day I felt completely taken care of and that is priceless. They have a great selection of decor which helps out tremendously with decoration planning. Ash and Oak are a group of people who work with you if you have ideas that are outside th e box and will help accommodate your vision. I could not recommend them more!! For those looking for that elegant take on a rustic barn, this is the venue for you!!!

d to a disastrous day of the wedding. She then chewed out the bar staff in front of the father of the bride and was then rude to him. Poor communication and forgetfulness. We had set up our rehearsal dinner for 6 pm in December of 2021. Reiterated that we wanted it at 6 in March when we came back for our 2nd meeting and she still scheduled another wedding rehearsal at the same time. She called the groom by the wrong name. Overall Barbarann and all her promises left us feeling like we got ripped off. My daughter wished she didn’t do her wedding because of all of the problems and screw ups that Barbarann promised her she would not know anything about. She is very disappointed which makes the parents upset because this is supposed to be the most perfect and magical day.
I want to start off by saying my wedding day was awesome and the venue is beautiful. I had several issues however throughout the planning process. They offer dj services through th...
em so during our planning meeting I mentioned that I would be interested and also sent text messages/literal phone conversations that I was wanting to pursue that. It was never mentioned how much it would cost or that a contract needed to be initiated…until my rehearsal dinner the night before. It was $500 fee for the dj to show up right before my wedding and get an attitude with my maid of honor also I made my whole playlist so I’m not sure what I paid for. I was doing a weekday wedding and apparently you get a discount in exchange for no time to decorate before your wedding. I found all this information out at my rehearsal dinner that I was not allowed to get my hair and makeup done at the venue because I only was able to use it for 5 hours. Communication was not clear about expectations and it just had me stressing the night before not to mention having to find extra money to pay for more time and this DJ fee. I give credit that they waived the “extra time” fee and begrudgingly gave me extra time during the rehearsal dinner to decorate. If you go through this venue take more initiative to get things in writing so you know what you’re getting.
My husband, Kyle, and I enjoyed everything about the Avon Wedding Barn! We got married inside, and it could not have been any more intimate or beautiful! Everyone working with the ...
Wedding Barn was so helpful throughout our planning process. Our questions were answered quickly and everyone was quick to offer helpful advice when we were having trouble making a decision.
We will forever be thankful to Barbarann and the rest of the AWB staff for making our day so special, so beautiful, and so fun! THANK YOU!!
The owner of the wedding barn was extremely outgoing and eager to help us with anything we needed. She met with us in person 3-4 times before the wedding day. They do conduct an op...
en house every year to let you look around and answer questions. The barn was rustic and charming! They shuttle your guests from the parking lot to the barn for your event. That was helpful for our guests that couldn’t easily get around. They also have a liquor license. It was nice to step back and let them handle it. I would recommend them for a wedding or any other type of event!
The bones of the venue are very pretty and the overall aesthetic is well executed. However the ownership/team of the venue will create a ton of challenges. They recently went throu...
gh a change in the venues coordinating role, leaving the organizing to an individual who cares more about their ideas than that of the bride. I was brought in to coordinate last minute due to this change because the bride, groom, and both families were extremely concerned to leave it in the hands of the venues team. The main individual will talk over you in all your meetings, turn every conversation into something about themselves, claim they know best in every situation resulting in an environment where the brides wishes are not heard. There were multiple other vendors working the same wedding who stated they normally refuse to work events at the venue due to the ownership/management. There were multiple instances during the event where they attempted to go over my head and change things opposite of the brides wishes. As an experienced wedding planner and coordinater I have never worked in such a toxic environment and will definitely stay away from the Avon Wedding Barn from here on out.
The barn went above and beyond our expectations. They worked through every step with us. We hired their bar services for beverages and it was amazing. They created a special drink ...
for both of us and made sure our guests were well taken care of. Barbarann and Tammy made sure that every single detail was perfect with decorations and placements. That barn is already magical but when you walk in and the decorations are out together it’s just a little more special. I only wish our day here lasted a bit longer because I didn’t want it to end ☺️ Thank y’all so much for an amazing evening!
1. The staff was amazing to work with. On our wedding day they were attentive and had a positive energy. Easy to communicate as I was planning. Darinda makes sure things get done. ...
Very professional.
2. The barn itself is gorgeous and I did not have to add any decor (but they allow it if you want).
3. Ceremony was gorgeous under the tree.
4. Dj was great. We had a blast playing yard games than moving to the dance floor.
Darinda and her staff are absolutely amazing! The barn itself is stunning and very well maintained. Jenn was our day of coordinator and she helped us so much and took a lot of stre...

ime for us! She made our day the best it could possibly have ever been! Not to mention, the barn is absolutely gorgeous!!!!!! She also accommodated multiple handicapped people for us and made it so easy for us to have all our loved ones present for the momentous occasion!!!!!!! I would highly recommend Darinda and the Avon Wedding Barn to anyone and everyone having a rustic, vintage, or country themed wedding. It was truly perfect!!!!!! :D

ith our wedding. She discussed payment with my now husband the day of our wedding (about an hour before the ceremony), was rude to my pastor, family, and bridal party. She was bossy and unappreciative of our family's help and did not defend us when we had difficulty with a vendor they recommended. Like I said, it was a beautiful place to get married, not everything was bad, we were just not treated well by the owner and that's not something you want on your wedding day.
My husband and I are SO thankful that we booked our ceremony and reception with Avon Wedding Barn! Our wedding was on a Friday so we were able to set up most of our decor and have ...
our rehearsal on the night before our wedding. It was perfect! On our first visit to the barn we were walked all over the property and shown all of the unique places to have our ceremony. We chose a spot underneath a big beautiful tree and Darinda, the owner, hung adorable bird cages/lanterns in the tree for us. She also helped us decorate inside of the barn with her own ideas and decorations, which gave the barn the perfect touch I was hoping for. Darinda is spectacular and willing to help with anything and everything. She made me feel very special on our big day. Everything about the barn, our ceremony, reception, photographer (Firm Grip Photography) and DJ (Kurt Streblow) was everything I have ever dreamt of! I HIGHLY recommend this property and everyone who works with Avon Wedding Barn.
