Cannot put into words how amazing Gena is at what she does. The idea of planning a wedding had me so stressed that I just avoided it altogether. Then when we decided 2023 was the year I stumbled upon BWed’s website and reached out because she had the most good reviews online. I fully expected her to say we didn’t have enough time to plan a wedding in less than five months. Boy was I wrong. She immediately got to work on our elopement and when I say stress free (for me) I mean stress free. All I had to do was check in every few days and make final decisions. She went and found all the things and took care of all the details. We eloped +4 guests and it really felt like Gena was our 5th guest. She had everything figured out to the minute for the big day and I couldn’t have been happier. To be able to just show up to your destination wedding and not stress over the details is priceless. Gena is an expert in her field and I would trust her to plan literally anything for me. She found our venue and recommended our hotel. When my husband and I decided to get married in Charleston with immediate family, we reached out to several elopement coordinators in the area. Gena was amazing! My husband's deployment got pushed up so we had to plan an elopement in two weeks. She was so quick to respond, asked all the questions I wasn't thinking about, and made sure that everything was perfect. Everything I asked for happened and plenty more that made the day perfect. My makeup and hair artist was perfect as well. She also complimented b Wed and Gena the whole time. My flowers were perfect. Cameron was my photographer and it was everything I wanted with my wedding pictures. Also, my officiant, Casey, was perfect and worked with us to make our ceremony exactly what we envisioned. We also went through Gena to have a car service and Richard was such a great man to have around on an important day. I still can't get over how great this day was all because of b Wed. I am so glad that I went with b Wed Charleston. I am from Illinois and Gena took care of everything! All that I had to worry about was finding my dress. The communication was great and she kept me up to date with the process. Gena was very personable and laid back when we met her the day of our elopement. The lady that she had do my hair was very nice, and Cameron the photographer was great too! We are not very photogenic, so I was hoping for just one or two good pictures out of the day....and they were all great. I loved them. I definitely recommend her!!

We had a great experience planning our elopement through Gena. She was extremely through and helped us through all of our questions. Very punctual and great at keeping things on schedule. The vendors that she used for hair and makeup were amazing. I was a tad nervous going in not knowing but the hair and makeup turned out beautiful and the pictures are better than I hoped. After searching and searching for a wedding planner for our destination wedding, we found Gena and I could not be more pleased that we did. Our elopement day planned by Gena was truly the best day of my husband and I's life and I would not change one. tiny. detail. Gena has everything so well organized (only requiring a few questionnaires on my end) that everything flowed smoothly, looked beautiful, and was everything I could have imagined for our day with minimal stress on my end (felt like a pampered princess over here). I really appreciated her honesty and money saving tips throughout the planning process. I was initially nervous about turning over the reigns for all vendor choices, but that was completely unfounded as all vendors (flowers, cake, hair and makeup, musicians, photographer, videographer, etc.) were the best of the best and so fun to work with! Still in awe of this day a month later and so thankful for Gena. You cannot go wrong with b Wed Charleston.

Before we found Gina, we were trying to plan a big wedding, make everyone happy, invite people just to avoid hurt feelings, etc... we decided to hell with all that, let's elope! My husband is from South Carolina, and I fell in love with Charleston when he took me to meet his family. We knew that was the place to go! Our search didn't take long before we found Gina. She made everything so easy and dealt with my terrible communication skills. She never once made me feel rushed in the few decisions I had to make and kept everything organized and on time. The hardest thing I had to do was pick flowers for my bouquet. She truly handled everything from start to finish, and I don't think our wedding day could have been more perfect. We don't regret a single decision about our elopement, and we have Gina to thank for that!

My husband and I eloped in December and were very thankful to work with b Wed. We had been told by numerous other couples how stressful the planning process could be and we were both very busy at work, so having a coordinator for our elopement was a lifesaver. Going into the process, we didn’t have any ideas on what to do and Gena handled everything we needed, including selecting an officiant and photographer, making suggestions on locations, sending helpful reminders and checklists, and was incredibly responsive throughout the whole process. I didn’t expect to get that level of coordination and engagement since we were just doing a no-guest elopement, but I was very thankful for all her help and advice. Our wedding was perfect thanks to b Wed Charleston! I reached out to Gena exactly 4 months before our wedding date. We had just decided to elope, and the countdown was on. I was feeling a little stressed and nervous about the whole process, but Gena calmed my nerves and made everything magic! Here are a few of my favorite things about working with Gena: 1) Completely stress free! Her packages take the guess work out of the whole process and really simplify planning. It minimizes the choices you have to make and completely removes stress. This was especially important to me since we had a short timeline and were planning from a distance for a destination elopement. I tell everyone that I only had to pick my dress and my husband. Gena took care of the rest! 2) Access to the very best vendors. It was nice to have someone make arrangements for me, but also a bit of a risk! Turns out, I didn’t have anything to worry about. Every single vendor that Gena selected for our day was beyond perfect. Everyone raved about the flowers, the cake, the pictures, hair and makeup, etc. Not being from Charleston, there is NO way I would have done that good picking everything myself. Gena only works with the best! 3) Supporting women-owned businesses. This was important to me on my big day. I wanted to support women entrepreneurs—especially during COVID! Pretty much every dollar we spent went to women-owned businesses thanks to Gena and b Wed. 4) Excellent communication. Gena is SO responsive and stays in close communication throughout the process. I never wondered where anything stood because she was so proactive and detail oriented. 5) Surprisingly affordable! One reason we decided to elope was the cost. Everyone knows that weddings are expensive, but not everyone knows it doesn’t have to be that way! Our day was everything we wanted and it was a fraction of the cost we would have spent on a traditional wedding or even compared to some other elopement and “minimonies” vendors. Gena is worth every penny and then some. It’s been one month since we got married, and my husband and I keep talking about how stress-free and fun our day was. Saving money and time was nice, but the most important thing that Gena did for us was allow us to focus on each other and our guests for our wedding day rather than worrying about a bunch of details. We are so grateful for her and cannot recommend her and b Wed Charleston enough!

I could write a novel on how amazing Gena has been to us since we first contacted her about planning our elopement. She was so patient with us figuring out our timeline, and she humored all of my ridiculous anxiety-motivated questions through the whole process. She got so much done in a short period of time, and the quality of all the services/products she got for our wedding completely exceeded expectations. I came into the process with the mindset “we’re asking her to plan an elopement in a month, we have no room to be too picky about the details,” but Gena involved us in every decision to make sure we got exactly what we wanted, from cake design to bouquet colors, and she provided sound advice anytime we needed it. We had to cancel our original wedding plans and move it up seven months due to military orders, and of course that was saddening at first, but that quickly melted away when I realized I’d get to marry the love of my life sooner, and that an amazing planner like Gena was going to make it as stress-less as possible. If I had a million dollars, all of it would’ve gone toward her tip. We’re so grateful for everything she’s done.

In one word AMAZING!! Gena is so intune with your desires to make your special day memorable. Ahe took the guess work ou to planning a elopement...from recommendations of a place to stay, the photographer....who was as awesome, the cake...which was delicious, the makeup artist....who was phenomenonal, and the officiant...who happens to be the Mayor of Folly Beach. Parking at the beach was horrible that day.. my husband was able to find a park, but because it was difficult for my best friend to find a park, Gena met us half way ans shuttled us to our wedding location. I could not have asked for a better day. Gena was always available to make recommendations and answers questions. I think I left that weekend with a life long friend. It felt like we knew each other for years.

Working with Gena at B Wed was a dream! We wanted to elope to Charleston, SC but had never been there. We contacted Gena to inquire about her elopement packages and she was very responsive. The initial thing was all set up within a few days with her contacting us with updates in the months prior to our big day. A bridge at the venue we selected had been damaged due to a fallen tree and she informed us as well as kept checking in with the venue to see if it had been fixed yet. All of the vendors she put together for us were incredible especially the makeup/hair stylist Carrie and our photographer Melissa! My bouquet and boutonnière were exactly what I wanted. The florist even provided color coordinating suggestions to help make sure the bouquet matched my husband’s suit. The day-of coordination was the best! Gena was there when we got married and even helped with some of the effects in our pictures! (She’s holding the veil in one of the pictures below!). Overall we could have not had a better experience getting married. I would definitely recommend Gena for your big day!!
