We used Babylon Carriage House for our rehearsal dinner. Working with Erin to plan the night was very easy, even postponing due to the pandemic was no issue. The night of the room ...
was clean and set up perfectly upon our arrival, the staff helped our older guests up the elevator to the room and the night was off to a great start. We paid extra for an open bar package but the waitress going around taking drink orders kept telling people it didn’t include mixed drinks, only wine. When confronted about this she said “oh no I meant top shelf liquors” but then continues to tell people no mixed drinks. The food was excellent but for some unknown reason the buffet was only out for 30 minutes. We had people coming In throughout the night and once the food was away there was no way of making guests that arrived a little late a plate. They even refreshed the buffet and then announced last call for food so all that fresh food went to waste, they didn’t even pack it up to send home with us. Our event was book for 8-11pm but the staff rushed the food and desert and started cleaning up by 10:00 so most of our guests left around 10 because they thought the event was over. This was very upsetting and frustrating as we paid a lot of money for this night and got very little out of it.
I had my bridal shower here in June. Everything during the shower was nice. However, my shower ended at the same time as another shower. There were staff there helping load peoples...
' cars. Only after I had gotten home had I realized one of my gifts (the one my fiance was most looking forward to - a pizza stone) was missing. I had immediately searched everywhere for it and couldn't find it. After hours of searching, we deduced that someone may have accidentally loaded it into the wrong car. After several weeks of talking to a manager, she agreed to look into purchasing another pizza stone for me and asked me to send her all the details, which I did. I didn't hear anything for a month, and so I followed up. Again, didn't hear anything. Three months after my bridal shower (and no less than 10 phone calls later), did I get a call from a manager saying that because they had nothing to do with the pizza stone and they weren't going to replace it. I was so incredibly aggravated that after giving me the run around, saying they would replace it, asking me to send them the receipt, and having me wait 3 months, they basically say "oh well...". They are leaving with a very unhappy customer. It's better to be straight up to begin with, in my opinion. I would not recommend this to anyone looking to book.
I had my rehearsal dinner at the Babylon carriage house at the upstairs private room. It was a perfect place for our dinner. We had a beautiful long table set for my ~40 guests. Th...
e atmosphere was intimate and fun. You can play your own music and put a slideshow up which everyone loved. The food was excellent but that's no surprise. I have eaten dinner there before and have never had a bad meal...always delicious. The service was top notch and staff super friendly. Was a beautiful night!
