We loved our wedding at Bacchus. Amanda and all the staff were so great. They were incredibly accommodating and everything was perfect for our event.
Lovely. The staff at Bartolottas was extremely helpful from the very start of our wedding planning. They helped us locate the perfect spot for us (Bacchus) and made the rest seamless. Anything we needed they took care of, the food is outstanding and service wonderful.
Great spot for a wedding
I had the pleasure of having my intimate 40 guest wedding at Bacchus just two days ago and I still cannot stop smiling about how perfect it was. I had booked the Library patio for ceremony with the library and Lakeview dining room initially. As we got closer, no one had booked the conservatory and we were told that we could use it at no extra charge! The venue was beautiful. The staff was absolutely incredible, the food was "the best food I've ever had at a wedding" according to all my guests, and Tricia was a pleasure to work with. Every time there was a change in the plan, she was quick to respond and never made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. I also went to the restaurant for dinner with my now husband after a meeting with her, and she must have told the restaurant we were coming because we were treated like absolute royalty with champagne and free dessert. The customer service is incredible and I would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone.
Tricia and her team made our dream ceremony come true! Bacchus was such a perfect and unique venue! Thank you Tricia for everything!
We held our rehearsal dinner at Bacchus and it was wonderful. The conservatory is a beautiful room, full of light in the summertime. The food was delicious (that is a given) and the staff were extremely professional and courteous. The wine list is also tremendous. We worked with Tricia to plan this event and she was always very responsive to our questions and was quick to help us.
We had a small wedding of about 30 people and wanted a fun ceremony and venue space with amazing food. Bacchus was the perfect fit. We had our ceremony on the small patio which was perfect for the size of our wedding. The reception space, in the library, was simply decorated but just the right fit for our "wine" theme wedding. Tricia, the coordinator, worked with us and helped us hammer out all the details. Her and her staff are phenomenal at what they do. They were attentive, kind, and always smiling. We could have asked for a better ceremony or venue space. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
We got married at Bacchus in September. We had our ceremony on the library patio and the reception in the conservatory. Bacchus was great to work with and provided great service which made for a stress free day. If you needed anything there was always someone available to help. Plus, they have great food. I would highly recommend Bacchus for any party or even just for dinner.
Words could not express how perfect the Bacchus and its staff made our wedding day. The food was AMAZING (the dining room actually got quiet when the main course came out), the staff so polite and responsive and the space was gorgeous. We were able to have the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing all in one location, making our day seamless. Tricia, the catering director, guided us gently throughout the process and was very conscious of our budget and vision. We are so eager to have our anniversary dinner there!
We had an early afternoon brunch wedding reception for about 80 people at Bacchus, and it was great. Bacchus is a beautiful restaurant with a great view. That was good for us because it limited the amount of decorating we needed to do. Tricia was very helpful throughout the process reviewing our menu and preferences for the day with us multiple times so the reception was what we wanted. The food was delicious and the wait staff was always present without being obtrusive. We received a lot of compliments on the reception.
Bacchus was the perfect location for our intimate 50 person wedding. We held our ceremony in the courtyard over looking Lake Michigan. We were drawn to Bacchus for the modern decor and intimate spaces that were provided. The Lake View dining room was perfect for our dinner and Library provided an intimate cocktail hour.
We wanted to share a great meal with incredible food with our closest loved ones and Bacchus definitely delivered there. We heard nothing but wonderful things about the meal and service. Many stated it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding.
We would have loved to give Bacchus 5 stars but were blind-sided by scaffolding that was up around the building during our event. The entire glass conservatory was our inclement weather back-up and the week before our event we inquired if it would remain. Bacchus had much of the scaffolding taken down around the conservatory but unfortunately new scaffolding was put up in front of our ceremony site the day before our event obstructing some views of Lake Michigan. We understand that Cudahy Towers had the control of the construction but felt that we not properly informed of this as possibility for our late May wedding when we had signed our initial contract and were never made aware of this until we inquired after seeing the construction. Bacchus did comp an element of our bill as an apology for the frustrations which was appreciated.
Tricia was pleasant to work with and I enjoyed her calm demeanor. She definitely went above and beyond the day of our event to coordinate our ceremony and reception to run smoothly. She was prompt with responses and I liked that she took into consideration all of our requests and did everything in her power to make the day exactly what I dreamed of.
We wanted an intimate reception with a romantic feel. Bacchus made that dream come true for us! I felt that we would never find a venue, after being turned away by many venues because of our small guest list of 75 guests, yet Bacchus welcomed us with open arms! Tricia was great to work with by ensuring that every detail was taken care of in a timely manner. People tell you that your guests are going to judge your wedding by the cake because it is the last thing they eat, but it has been a month since our wedding and people are still talking about how tasty the food was! I believe that Bacchus is a beautiful restaurant with fantastic food, service and has the most gorgeous view of Lake Michigan from their patio (a great photo spot). Our reception was held in the Conservatory which included the use of their patio - We had warm fall evening- our guests loved it! Give Bacchus a tour; you may fall in love with it- like we did!
We had a brunch wedding at Bacchus this past June. Tricia and her team did a fabulous job. Tricia was attentive and helped me out with every detail throughout my planning process.
The food was superb and the atmosphere at Bacchus was great too. I would highly recommend Tricia and her team to any engaged couple that wants a classy, top notch wedding reception.
We just had our wedding ceremony and reception at Bacchus last month and are so glad we did! We fell in love with the streamlined decor and inviting atmosphere and it just felt like 'us'. We live in Illinois and everyone kept asking why we were getting married in Milwaukee until the day of the wedding...and then they understood. Delicious food, wonderful service, and great environment. Nothing that needs to be covered up with draped fabric or camouflaged, as with many other venues. A clean canvas to add color with flowers, etc. as you desire. Everyone was friendly and attentive and we look forward to visiting for future anniversaries, etc. What a perfect evening and we thank them for all they did!!
