My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner here on October 20. We had a private room with covered outdoor space and our guests truly enjoyed themselves. We started off with cocktail hour outside, complete with pass apps. We then moved inside for dinner, where guests could choose beer or wine, and an app, entree, and dessert. The waitstaff were on top of it, seemed genuinely excited for us, and the night was overall amazing. I highly recommend Bacchus! PS they also are great for dinner / wine, too, we have gone here for non-wedding related events as well!

We had our wedding ceremony and dinner at Bacchus Bistro in early June of this year, and it was the perfect setting for a smaller wedding. Really great restaurant, amazing food and wine, and doesn't come with the outrageous costs of a traditional wedding hall venue. We had about 50 of our closest family and friends join us for a beautiful ceremony outside under their tree, cocktail hour was also outside, while they set up dinner in the partially covered back garden. I am so thrilled we landed at Bacchus for our wedding. Not only is the space beautiful inside and out, but the food and wine was amazing and the restaurant manager Meryl was fantastic to work with. So accommodating and responsive, and literally helped me plan how the night should go since I had never done this before! We live and work in Brooklyn, and so it was important for us for our wedding to be local. Set in a really nice neighborhood and accessible to hotels and subways, Bacchus is the perfect venue!

Me and my husband can’t rave enough about our experience with Meryl, Bruno and Bacchus. Meryl works closely with you on every little detail for your dream wedding and she made sure we had the perfect day. She was able to answer any question we had and make the wedding process seem easy! When it comes to the food, Bacchus is phenomenal. The Bacchus staff overall is on another level and beyond professional. After our wedding all we heard from our guests was what an amazing time they had. A short story, our wedding started with a thunderstorm. Meryl and the Bacchus team were able to make that experience as stress free as possible and keep our wedding going without a hitch. They are prepared for anything unexpected that can happen! We are so glad we chose Bacchus for our special day!!!!

My husband and I got married at Bacchus earlier this month and it was an absolute dream! Meryl and her team were a joy to work with from the moment we visited the space, right through to our wedding day. It was everything we wanted (amazing food, a fun, intimate space..) and we wish we could do it all again! A huge thank you to Meryl and her team for being so patient and accomodating throughout the planning process (including multiple tastings for food and wine) and for making our wedding day extra special. Bacchus was absolutely perfect in every way. The entire staff was professional and kind, but Meryl in particular was a pleasure to work with. She went above and beyond at every turn in helping us plan and execute whatever we wanted for our wedding day. She was easy and fun to work with and made the day of the wedding seamless and everything we wanted. The service isn't the only great thing about bacchus; the food is incredible. It has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants. The hardest part about choosing the menu was narrowing down between all the great options - something they helped us do by arranging multiple tastings. Lastly, the space itself is beautiful, original, and a great place for a wedding. We really can't say enough positive things about our experience with Bacchus. Look no further - you have found the right place.

We highly recommend Bacchus as a wedding/event venue. My partner and I had an amazing wedding celebration at Bacchus in May 2023. Everyone could not stop raving about the beautiful space, savory food, or how intimate the event felt. The celebration went off without a hitch, due in large part to Bacchus’ event coordinator, Meryl, and her team. From the beginning, when we first inquired about holding the event at Bacchus, Meryl was extremely responsive. During the first meeting, she walked us through the restaurant, including the interior wine bar and two outdoor courtyards, described how the event could be set up, and answered all our questions. We stayed in close touch in the months leading up to the wedding to plan all the details and Meryl invited us to Bacchus for a wine and food tasting before finalizing the menu. Although we were already excited for the celebration based on the outdoor space and how easy Meryl made the planning, the food was the real clincher. We’ve attended far too many weddings with overcooked steak and lackluster fish entrees, but Bacchus’ chef showed that would not be the case with our celebration. When the wedding day arrived, we luckily had a sunny day (though Meryl assured us there would be outdoor coverage and more interior space in case of rain). In total, we had about 100 guests. Since we legally married at the courthouse the day prior, we launched straight into the celebration. We first hosted a cocktail hour in the wine bar with passed hors d’oeuvres, before everyone sat down in the courtyards for a four-course dinner. After that, we brought in a DJ for dancing inside the restaurant. Meryl helped coordinate the night perfectly; she was seamless in switching our music playlists during cocktail hour and dinner, providing a microphone set-up and accommodating time for speeches, and making sure that her staff were attentive throughout the entire evening. She decorated the restaurant and tables beautifully and even set up pictures, plants, and other décor and items like gift boxes that we had dropped off the day before. The four-course meal tasted just as great as it did during our tasting and received high compliments all around (the escargot, butternut squash tortellini, and steak with wild mushrooms were to die for). Meryl also ensured that the kitchen was able to provide kids meals for the few little ones that we had in attendance. The staff were diligent in making drinks and filling wine glasses and, overall, provided excellent service. We truly had the perfect, memorable evening for our magical occasion. For that reason, we would 100% recommend Bacchus for a wedding or event without any reservations.

We cannot recommend Bacchus enough. We wanted a small wedding (~60 guests) with options for indoor and outdoor space that was wheelchair accessible and that wouldn't cost us our life's savings (not an easy feat in Brooklyn). Bacchus delivered above and beyond. Meryl (the coordinator we worked with) created a perfect event for us. Everyone warned us that something always goes wrong on your wedding day, but truly everything went so smoothly with this space.

We had a small wedding at Bacchus after having to cancel our large wedding due to covid. Now we wish we just started with this venue in the first place! The staff is super friendly and Meryl was a pleasure to communicate with as we planned our menu and reception details. The food and service was fantastic. We were thrilled with our special day!

We are 100% thrilled with our experience at Bacchus and so happy we chose to hold our wedding there. Meryl (the event coordinator) and Bruno (the owner) are both fantastic. They are helpful, knowledgeable and relaxed. We booked the venue before the pandemic, so there were a lot of unknowns. Meryl and Bruno were incredibly reasonable and helped us put together a really beautiful micro-wedding. Our guests keep raving about the food and beautiful venue. Highly recommend!

I lived around the corner from Bacchus for five years and it was always my favorite restaurant, one of the first spots I took my (now) husband to. We were struggling to find a venue that felt "us," until one night we walked past Bacchus and saw a wedding was taking place in the beautiful back garden. My then-fiancé and I had the same thought at the same time, so we did our research and set up time with Meryl. We immediately knew we'd be in good hands. The entire Bacchus team is wonderful -- friendly, accommodating and responsive. They have you do your tasting BEFORE you sign the contract - because they are one of the few venues that take pride in their food. Tom and I had eaten so many lackluster wedding meals, so this was important to us and they delivered. Countless guests told us it was the best wedding meal they've ever had. The location was beautiful -- allowing us to have our dream "backyard wedding in Brooklyn". It's a hidden oasis, glowing with fairy lights and the gorgeous tree that's the focal point of the garden. We were able to comfortably fit all 120 of our guests in the 2 adjacent gardens for both the seated ceremony and dinner. Then we migrated into the restaurant for our reception/dance party. Bacchus let us stay dancing until 1am! It really was the perfect night, made so special because of the Bacchus staff. If you want proof of the staff's excellence, ask to borrow my wedding videos -- subtly in the background, you'll see Meryl and Alvaro swooping in to ensure our day was perfect: fluffing the train on my dress as I walked by, adjusting a tree branch to not interfere with our best man's head, keeping the wine glasses full. Thank you to the team there for everything!

We thoroughly enjoyed working with Meryl and her team at Bacchus! They went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding went off without a hitch! Meryl was always responsive, helpful, and flexible when we had any concerns or questions, and the team worked well with all of our vendors. Our wedding day turned out to be absolutely wonderful. Not only were we happy with how everything turned out, but our guests were just as thrilled as we were by everything, from the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the dinner and dancing! Meryl and the staff at Bacchus are amazing. I can't recommend Bacchus enough!

Meryl and her team are quite professional and they really helped make our wedding unforgettable. Food was absolutely delicious -we heard all about it from the comments we received from our attendees. Our guests were of many different nationality (and sense of taste) but it seems they were all satisfied. Meryl considered our budget and was able to understand what our vision was for our special day. On the day of the wedding, the team helped to decorate. We brought our own large photo frames and they hanged it nicely without us asking to do so. They also provided a tripod easel to hold one of our frame for our polaroid films when we forgot to bring one. Meryl nicely sprinkled flower pedals for the ceremony at the right time. She was of great help to the entire logistics during the ceremony. When we had some leftover wedding cake, the team- unprompted- cut the rest and packed it up for guests to take it back home. We thought it was a thoughtful gesture. Compared to other venues we approached, Meryl and the rest of the Bacchus staff are super flexible and very detail oriented. If you care about wine and food and If you want the intimate yet fun and beautiful Brooklyn wedding, this is the perfect venue.

We can’t say enough about how amazing the venue and especially the staff are at Bacchus Bistro. We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Bacchus in June 2019 and everything was perfect. Meryl and Alvaro are a dream team that took care of every single detail from the moment we decided to have our wedding at Bacchus up until the day after the wedding when we picked up our leftover decorations. Bacchus is an amazing venue at a great value and exactly what we wanted for our wedding – an intimate (55 people) and personal backyard garden ceremony, a dinner-focused celebration with high quality food, and a perfect space to dance the night away. The food is beyond delicious and beautifully presented. The garden space is flawlessly set up for a cozy and intimate ceremony and reception. We were also able to reserve a room inside the restaurant attached to the outdoor gardens for dancing which made everything flow seamlessly. As an added bonus Meryl went above and beyond in helping us coordinate the event. Meryl is extremely detail oriented and walked us through every step of the process. Along with Alvaro and the rest of the wonderful staff at Bacchus, they helped us plan and pull off a beautiful celebration. The staff are the best of the best and made our wedding unforgettable. I can’t thank them enough for giving us a perfect wedding day.

Bacchus was the perfect venue for our reception. The staff, led by Meryl, did a phenomenal job in making our reception feel cosy, intimate, and special. Meryl was great to work with. She was accommodating, flexible, and professional. She really made the experience a lot less stressful than it could've been. Our guests could not stop complimenting the food, the space, and the staff. It was a perfect night and we were so happy to have chosen Bacchus for our wedding reception.

We highly recommend Bacchus Bistro! We had our wedding ceremony and reception here in late September 2018 and were so happy with everything from the helpful staff, to delicious food, to beautiful and intimate space. We were looking for a venue in our neighborhood and didn't think we would be able to find anything in our price range. We feel like we found a hidden gem with Bacchus - it is a great value and exactly what we wanted in a wedding venue - a magical backyard garden ceremony, a dinner-focused celebration with top-quality food (some say it was the best wedding food they've ever had and we agree), and a laid-back space where we could pop on our playlist and (literally) dance the night away. Meryl is an excellent coordinator, walking us through every step of the process and answering all of our questions. Along with Alvaro and the rest of the wonderful staff, she helped us plan and pull off a beautiful celebration. Our wedding size of just under 150 was quite large for the space, but Meryl and Alvaro configured the space beautifully so that it still felt intimate and incredibly special. Despite the large group, dinner flowed smoothly with food being served at the same time. The staff was professional and very sweet - they made our day so special!

We had an intimate backyard wedding here in August, and it was absolutely magical. When I was first looking at venues, I thought this place was too good to be true- a Brooklyn restaurant that has no food/drink minimum, no time limit on the event, and no venue fee?!? The entire experience, from our tasting and crafting of the menu, to planning the day of details, and finally to the big day went so smoothly and was even more than we could have imagined. Meryl, Alvaro, and the rest of the staff were so friendly and helpful, they took care of everything, including set up of all the beautiful decorations (that come included with the venue), the tent when it rained (the tent is also included), the music (we created a Spotify playlist and Meryl handled everything else). With their help, we were able to focus on what was important to us that day- a meaningful ceremony, great food and drink, and celebrating with our 70 guests in a gorgeous venue!!!

We LOVE Bacchus! If we could give them more stars we would! We found Bacchus a little over a year ago when we were looking for a wedding venue. We looked at a lot of places but when we walked in I knew this was the one. We got married there September 2018. After deciding on Bacchus for our wedding we went there a lot over the next year—dinner, drinks, meeting our wedding vendors. The staff was always so lovely, warm, and accommodating. The food always so yummy. Meryl is the best! She, Alvaro, and team are really on top of their game. You get early on that they are there to make your wedding day the wedding day you imagined. They are professional, flexible, and warm. We really felt they cared about us and what they were doing. The space is beautiful. The tree in the garden with twinkle lights—stunning! The food—let’s just say Yum! Our guests raved about the space, the service, and the food. The trifecta! Meryl, thank you for helping to make our day perfect---because it was! We are so full of gratitude!

We cannot say enough about Bacchus. The venue is perfect; the staff—especially Meryl and Alvaro—are professional, friendly and helpful. We got married at Bacchus in September 2017 and I couldn't say nicer things about the staff who helped bring it together. We viewed A LOT of venues and they were by far the most accommodating. Don't get spooked if they're slow to respond to emails at first. When it came down to it, Meryl, Alvaro, and the rest of staff were totally on their game. I made changes to the menu and they made it work within my budget. They handled all of the set up and breakdown. They answered every one of my many questions. And the venue itself was absolutely for perfect for our wedding. We had the space from 5-10pm on a Saturday. The ceremony was held beneath the big tree in the first garden, which was beautifully lit in the evening. The cocktail hour was in the wine bar and first garden. And we moved to the first and second gardens for dinner and dancing. We fit 98 people comfortably. And our guests raved about the ambience, food, and wine. Dinner took longer to serve than expected, so the Spotify playlists we planned for each part of the evening had to repeat. But I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who noticed. Everything else moved seamlessly. The staff even put food aside for me at the end of the night as I was too busy dancing and mingling to eat. I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful, laid-back space.

Writing a review and giving Bacchus, Meryl, Alvaro and their team a 5 star rating is not enough to express how wonderful they are. We got married earlier this year, in June, and everything about our reception at Bacchus was better than we ever expected. Not only did Bacchus deliver on every promise, they exceeded our expectations every step of the way with their flexibility, their attention to detail, their kindness and professionalism, as well as their staff’s impeccable execution. To share a little more color on how exceptional Bacchus was: (1) we and our guests left the reception convinced that we had the best meal we had ever eaten at a wedding, (2) upon arrival, the venue was absolutely beautiful and it was evident that Meryl and her team had taken care of every little detail, (3) we felt comfortable, taken care of, at ease and were able to enjoy the best moment of our lives without any concern, (4) from the beginning and leading up to the big day, Meryl was always thorough with her responses and generous with her time, and (5) since we got married we have recommended Bacchus to multiple friends for weddings, other celebrations or simply for a lovely meal. Our wedding was in June 2017 at Bacchus. We had 105 people, and everyone was able to have a seat at the ceremony. The staff was flexible with last minute cancellations and seating changes, and we appreciated that very much. We were looking for something intimate with great food and that would allow for good conversation. It was exactly what we wanted. The decor in the backyard was charming in itself, so we did not have to bring much. Meryl and Alvaro were very responsive to our questions in the weeks that led up to our wedding. We met with them several times a couple weeks out from the wedding to go over the menu and logistics, and they met with our DJ as well. The staff were attentive to our needs and requests. They put us at ease. My husband and I created our itinerary, and it was fine with them. As the night went on, Meryl and Alvaro were able to transition things flawlessly from one part of the night to the other. My family told me later that they staff were very friendly to them. The food was a hit and everyone raved about it. My only helpful critique would be that although we bought out the restaurant and backyard, we would have liked to have the adjoining bar room to ourselves, as soon as we arrived.

Bacchus is the perfect intimate brooklyn backyard wedding venue. We had about 80 guests with our ceremony under the tree in the back yard, cocktail hour inside/outside (they smoothly removed all of the ceremony chairs without anyone even noticing), the sit down dinner in the second garden and an afterparty in the wine bar. It was perfect for guests of all ages. People who wanted to dance could dance in the wine bar while the older guests enjoyed chatting and relaxing in the next room or outside. THE FOOD IS AMAZING. Even if you don't have your wedding here you definitely must go just to eat dinner! It really is one of the best restaurants in Brooklyn. Alvero and Meryl work so hard to make sure the event is exactly how you want it and will work with you to execute almost anything. I highly recommend!! Truly breathtaking backyard with magical lights and atmosphere.

We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Meryl Reyal at Baccus to arrange our daughters Christening celebration . Meryl and her team were extremely professional and provided quality customer service. They went above and beyond the call of duty. Within a few short weeks time Meryl along with her staff put together an absolutely beautiful party along with flower arrangements, décor, and a customized menu. We received wonderful feedback from family and friends on how lovely our party turned out. Most importantly, Meryl made us feel apart of their family, and made sure we, along with our guests , were well taken care of from start to finish. My husband and I got married at Bacchus in May 2017. Prior to planning our wedding, we had been to Bacchus for dinner and brunch, always having a wonderful experience. After beginning our wedding planning, Bacchus was an easy choice for our wedding venue. We loved that Bacchus was able to accommodate a smaller wedding (we had around 60 guests), we were also excited about the ability to have our ceremony and dinner reception in the back garden. Throughout the year before our wedding, we were in constant contact with Meryl, an incredible person and resource, who really helped bring all of the details of our wedding together. We had a wonderful food tasting followed by an equally wonderful wine tasting a couple months before our wedding. Meryl stayed in constant contact with us throughout these months, ensuring that everything was coming together smoothly. As our wedding date approached and we had our last meeting at Bacchus we knew without a doubt that we were in incredibly great hands. Our wedding day was beautiful and came together perfectly. This was largely due to Meryl and the incredible team at Bacchus. We received constant compliments throughout the evening on pretty much everything Bacchus had to offer including the passed hors d'oeuvre, entrees, wine and dessert. My husband created dinner and after dinner playlists and we were able to easily connect to the sound system at Bacchus, and the music during dinner sounded great. The garden is beautiful, so we did not really add much as far as decor, just simple centerpieces that we dropped off the night before and Meryl's team set up for us. At around 10 pm, our party transitioned inside to the wine bar where we were able to continue having a great time. The Bacchus team even brought in the remaining cupcakes on the cupcake tower for our guests to enjoy. Wedding planning and staying on budget, especially in a place like NYC can be incredibly stressful. We are so glad we went with Bacchus as so much of that stress was alleviated. Their prices are more than fair considering the quality of food and elegance of the garden. We continue to return to Bacchus for dinner and brunch, and can't wait to celebrate our 1st anniversary there.

My husband and I got married here on Sunday, September 24, 2017. When we first started searching online for inexpensive venues, Bacchus was one of the few places to come up that didn't look like we were on a budget. Once we visited the restaurant, we completely fell in love with how beautiful it was. It's large backyard space which includes a tree that creates a gorgeous canopy was exactly what we were looking for. From that day on, Meryl took such great care of us. She answered all of our never ending questions and even provided wonderful recommendations for the florist, cake and photographer. During our visits, we met several couples who were celebrating their anniversary. They told us how perfect their Bacchus wedding was. They were sure ours would be just as special and they were right. We arrived at Bacchus the day before our wedding with all of the decor and provided instructions on how we wanted everything to be set up. When we arrived the following day, every looked exactly as we envisioned it. Meryl and her team did a fantastic job! The food was absolutely amazing and our guests kept commenting on how great the service was. Even though we had record breaking heat and Brooklyn's largest street fair was going on right outside the venue, everything was perfect. Bacchus is not your typical cookie-cutter wedding venue. It's special and intimate and we couldn't be happier with our choice to celebrate there.

My husband and I got married at Bacchus on October 8th and it was the most incredible day ever. Everything about the wedding at Bacchus was fantastic. Meryl the wedding coordinator is amazing. She is well-organized and accommodating, plus she is warm and always calm. The rest of the staff, especially Alvaro, are all wonderful. They move quickly and like a well-oiled machine. We had 135 guests and we thought it was going to be tight, but it felt so cozy and warm! And the Bacchus crew was not phased by it at all, everything went on without a single glitch. And the food is just fantastic--the best wedding food I've ever had. We love Bacchus and can't wait to spend our anniversaries there!

I was married in September 2017 at Bacchus and it was the most incredible evening!! The ceremony and dinner took place in the backyard which was like a beautiful secret garden and perfectly cozy. Afterwards, the party moved indoors for dancing. The food was incredibly plentiful and unbelievably delicious and they kept the wine flowing - multiple people told us the food was far and away was the best they'd had at a wedding. The evening went so smoothly thanks to Meryl and her staff, who seamlessly transitioned everything from ceremony, to cocktail hour, to dinner and finally dancing. Working with Meryl was a pleasure throughout the planning process, she was extremely accommodating and helpful. We couldn't be more thrilled with the wonderful evening, or the staff. And to top it all off, everything was extremely reasonably priced. Thank you Bacchus for an unforgettable night!

We had the "welcome dinner" for our wedding at Bacchus in late May and were extremely happy with it. We had about 65 people in the outdoor garden. Compared to other restaurants in the area, it's extremely reasonable price-wise. There were no other venues that had a lovely garden that could seat such a large group of people. They do a lot of events and run them like clockwork. Unfortunately, the night of our event it torrentially rained. When we arrived, the outdoor garden was completely covered and still looked beautiful, despite the horrible weather. The dinner was seamless in terms of everyone ordering, the food arriving on-time and accurately, wine service, everything. They give you a pretty vast choice in terms of what you can put on the menu, so I would recommend eating here a few times to try the different options out. We chose the branzino, gnocchi and half-chicken and everyone was raving about the food. The food was way better than the food at our actual wedding, which wasn't bad. If we didn't want to have a band and 100+ people at our wedding, I honestly would have considered having our actual wedding at Bacchus. When we were trying out the food, we were there one night when one was going on and it looked lovely!

My wife and I got married at Bacchus last week (May 2017) and everything could not have gone better. From start to finish, Meryl and the entire staff were extremely professional, courteous, and kind, and they all absolutely went above and beyond to make sure that we had our dream wedding ceremony and reception. The restaurant (and the garden, where we had our ceremony and reception) is an absolutely gorgeous venue, and we lucked out with perfect weather so we were really able to enjoy the outdoor space to the fullest extent. We chose not to have an outside coordinator since Meryl was very accommodating to any decorations and specific events we asked for, and gave her detailed instructions for our music, flower arrangements, table setups, ceremony, and overall timeline. The setup looked gorgeous when we walked in and was exactly as we had asked. We were also able to do things such as bring in an outside wedding cake at no extra charge, making it easy to customize the day exactly as we wanted. We got nothing but rave reviews from our guests all day and they have continued to roll in since the event, and I know we will always remember this amazing day in large part because of how fantastic the entire staff was. The food service was amazingly quick considering that we had over 70 guests, and they were friendly, accommodating, and beyond wonderful (as they are during regular dinner service as well!). They could charge double for their services and it would still be an amazing value! I cannot recommend them highly enough, and they will do everything they can to help you have a wedding exactly the way you imagine.

Bacchus is incredible. We hosted our Aug wedding here last year. We wanted to have our ceremony and reception at one location and Bacchus could not have fit the bill better. We had our ceremony in the garden, which was gorgeous, we barely needed to decorate. Cocktail hour was generous, constantly flowing and delicious. Dinner was exceptional. Half of our guests are from the food industry and they all raved about the food. The wine selection was great and the team kept it flowing. Everyone had a wonderful time. Meryl, Alvaro and the entire staff was beyond accommodating. They happily met, spoke with, and sorted out details with all of our vendors. I made last minute changes to the table layout up until the day of - and they handled it beautifully with no issues. Thankfully it didn't rain, but thankfully they have a tent service on hand just in case. We were able to drop off our stuff a few days in advance, and they put up all the decorations with little instruction needed. Every detail was perfect. They went above and beyond to make the day truly special, catered to every one of our last minute requests with a smile. Everything was possible. I have already recommended Bacchus to many of my friends for their special events. Aside from the venue and food being outstanding - the service is what makes this venue stand out. Our wedding was exactly what we wanted, and I am thankful to the Bacchus team for playing such a monumental part of it.

Bacchus was the perfect setting for our June nuptials. We wanted just one location for the entire event--ceremony, cocktail hour, sit-down dinner plus dancing--and the interior and exterior spaces accommodated each of these. We had great weather and thus enjoyed all their outdoor area to its fullest (that's where most of the guests were for the entire event). Food was also very important to us and both the passed appetizers and sit-down dinner impressed our guests--and it all stayed within our budget. We enjoyed several great tastings at the restaurant, and the food at the reception mirrored those tastings. We did minimal decor (flowers and table numbers) as Bacchus's normal decor was enough to make the event feel special. Staff was very accommodating and laid-back. We were able to get in the day prior to make sure our sound system would work and my baker was able to get in early to do final touches on my cakes. My family and friends all still rave about the great setting and food. Atlantic Avenue and surrounding streets allowed us to get in some cool shots too—and we got a spot out front for our vintage mustang.

I planned my sister bridal shower at Bacchus bistro a few months ago. I must say the service here is impeccable. The staff was very friendly and eager to assist in making the perfect set up for the occasion. The food is another bonus and the prices are affordable for such exquisite French cuisine. I will come here over and over . I highly recommend planning bridal events and if you would like peaceful dining in the downtown area this is a must visit.

My wife and I had an amazing wedding reception at Bacchus. The staff was so accomodating by making sure to fullfill all the requirements we had. We loved having the reception in the backyard giving us that coziness and privacy. The food was amazing and full of options. I would recommend Bacchus for a wedding at 100%.

I am a Brooklyn based wedding planner and I Bacchus is one of my favorite palces to host rehearsal dinners, brunches and intimate weddings. The service and food are great, the pricing is quite reasonable and the atmosphere is lovely. Highly recommend!

**Event Review** I was looking for a place to host my engagement dinner with family and friends. BACCHUS fills very quickly so we were left with October but luckily the weather was perfect for the evening in the second garden. Meryl and Alvaro were excellent in helping my vision come true. It was absolutely beautiful. I can't thank them enough. We booked the second garden for four hours and chose the 4 course menu with open bar. The event was from 7-11pm. I was able to drop off decor in the morning (balloons, hanging voltive candles, placecards, photo booth props, party favors, etc..). They were amazing and had it all perfectly set up when I arrived at 6:30pm. Since we had a few people show up a bit late they were very flexible with the time they started taking orders. Alvaro began taking orders around 8:15pm. It worked out perfectly fine bc we were mingling with family and friends anyway. My event was supposed to end at 10pm but my fiancé and I ended up extending the open bar an extra hour since we were having such a great time. I highly recommend the second garden for an event (furthest one in the back). Weather was perfect that evening and the place is decorated beautifully, the pictures don't do it any justice. I would strongly consider BACCHUS again for future events. Food is amazing too!

Bacchus was an incredible venue for my wedding. We went back and forth over what to do for our special day. We wanted something intimate, no too over the top, with great food and a relaxed yet chic environment. Bacchus was perfect. We had our ceremony in the back yard and it was beyond special against the backdrop of natural foliage. The space is so naturally beautiful that my floral designer only had to add a few touches to reflect our design. My husband is French so we definitely wanted amazing French food and one of those dinner with tons of wine that goes on through the night. Well with Bacchus we got that and more. We had a several course meal with wine parings. Every course was delectable and the service impeccable. And the wine selection incredible... even the French guests were impressed! The main thing about doing event here is the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly and accommodating. They worked with the other vendors seamlessly to create an intimate, elegant, yet completely down to earth experience. My wedding is a day I will never forget and having it there was the perfect choice for us. I wholeheartedly recommend Bacchus!

Seriously, I can't even express how grateful we were to have found Bacchus for our wedding reception this past May. From the moment we met Meryl, we knew that it would be a stress-free and amazing event. Besides the fact that the decor and ambiance are to die for (i mean, you literally feel like you're sitting in a bistro in Provence, France), their food is AMAZING, their wine selection is superb, each and every one of their staff members are beyond friendly (with their beautiful french accents and all) and the total cost is very budget-friendly compared to most NY wedding venues. My hubby and I knew that we wanted a very unique, relaxed and non-traditional feel for our wedding. Bacchus achieved that and so much more. Meryl & staff were super accommodating and attentive to our guests' needs. I would definitely recommend Bacchus for a wedding, rehearsal dinner, special event or even a night on the town. Oh!! And how could I forget the garden area!! Absolutely beautiful!! This is definitely a hidden gem of Brooklyn :)

I suggest scheduling a visit to Bacchus if you are currently searching for a wedding venue. My husband and I met with Meryl, who is an absolutely wonderful person, and loved her and Bacchus so much that we chose to hold our wedding there over Memorial Day weekend. Things I loved: The food and drinks! Our guests raved about the appetizers, meals and wine. Bacchus offers flexible meal and drink packages, and honestly anything you try there will be delicious. The service is top-notch, even when you visit on a regular day. Everyone makes you feel like you are part of the family, and attends to you before you even realize you need them. The ceremony and reception space is beautiful, cozy and intimate. We invited about 65 guests who fit comfortably in one of the back patios. There is a large tree in the back that made the space feel natural. I brought minimal decorations because I wanted a simple design, but you have a great canvas to work with if you want to add to the space. Romantic and rustic pieces will really highlight the space. The location is great. Brooklyn Bridge Park is a short cab ride away, and there are hotels nearby if you have guests traveling from out of town. My favorite thing about choosing Bacchus is that my husband and I can return as much as we want! We visited for our one year anniversary, and it felt so special to be there again.

As a planner I've been able to work with many different venues and we really enjoyed our experience with Bacchus! Meryl our main point of contact leading up to the event was lovely and helpful responding to emails and the day of Alvero and the owner were both great helping us out! Our couple had planned for a lovely ourdoor wedding and of course that morning it was cold and windy with a 60% threat of rain! So we had to jump to our plan B. Their staff was happy to jump in and provide assistance hanging cafe lights and adjusting our decor plan to fit the weather plan. I really appreciated the time they took to help get things together as we moved into our plan B. The food was very tasty and I really want to go back for brunch since I was smelling it and seeing it come out of the kitchen all morning while I was working on my set-up!

My husband and I got married at Bacchus on a Saturday evening in late October 2016. We had a magical night despite some rainy and windy weather. We rented the entire restaurant for a cocktail style party for approx 135 people with heavy passed hors d'oeuvres and open seating around Bacchus’ two beautiful gardens, as well as inside the restaurant. We added some personal touches including farmhouse tables and floating candles to enhance the rustic décor of the restaurant and the lights and candles that already decorate the space. Our amazing florist Aurora Botanica put up a cascading floral backdrop with jewel toned flowers in the back of the garden to serve as the backdrop for our ceremony, and then the staff seamlessly turned over the ceremony space for cocktail hour and the reception. Since we started working with them this past February, the staff at Bacchus and our main contact Meryl were amazing. They were flexible with tastings and décor elements and accommodated special requests at so many turns so that we could create our dream space inside the restaurant. We stopped by with our DJ, florist and other vendors on many separate occasions and the staff was always warm, welcoming and there to answer our questions, even when Meryl herself was not on site. Bacchus and the on site manager for our wedding, Alvaro, worked with our day of wedding coordinator to ensure everything was set up as we imagined even with extra chilly temps, strong winds and rain to contend with. The evening went off so seamlessly and we’ve had so many friends and family contact us since to say what an intimate, fun and special night it was. The staff was there for all of our needs the night of the wedding and I know worked overtime to ensure that us and our guests felt taken care of. Bacchus is a wonderful and warm neighborhood spot that could be perfectly suited to a simple and chic event or something more intricate based on what you are envisioning. We can’t wait to have more dinners there in the future so we can relive our wonderful night!

Had my wedding here earlier this month and it turned out amazing!!! Every little detail was noticed. Meryl did such a great job communicating with me and I had no worries on the day of my wedding. Food was amazing. We had right roughly 60 people and the second garden was the perfect size just for that. Not too crowded, everyone had enough room to move around. They provided decorations but I brought in some extra things (place cards, flowers, etc) and gave her instructions for everything and when I arrived everything was EXACTLY where and how I wanted it. Highly advise this location if you're looking for a lovely, intimate outdoor wedding. Truly had an amazing day thanks to Meryl and all of her staff.
