We were so pleased with the Bachelor Boys Band at our wedding at King Family Vineyards on June 12. They honestly sounded amazing and our guests all told us how much they loved their sound -- several asked us where we found the band! My husband is a professional musician and we had 15+ trumpet players in attendance as guests -- you best believe the BBB pulled out a stellar trumpet player for the night, plus all vocals were absolute stand outs! They played our parent dances all live and sounded amazing. Our only feedback is that we wished the band had coordinated on the level of professionalism in dress. We had a formal/black tie optional wedding, and most of the band had a suit jacket on but one player only had a v neck t-shirt on and another had a short skirt. It just makes the band look less cohesive. In addition, several MC moments were missed (they inaccurately announced the bus and forgot to mention the late night snacks) and played the wrong song for our cake cutting. Having a band play our Northern Virginia wedding was very important to us. We found Bachelor Boys Band on Instagram and relished their vibe from the get-go. They felt more personal than the conglomerates with dozens of band. We watched them perform at a showcase in the Baltimore area and loved how they structured their evening with different pairings of band members and instruments - it helped us make an informed decision about the number of instruments we wanted to include. We were wow-ed by Amber at the showcase, and were thrilled to have her emcee our wedding! Communication with the band was very straightforward. We only had a handful of requests, but otherwise, let them play the sets as they saw fit. Truthfully, I can’t remember them taking many breaks because it felt like they played the whole night! Our guests continue to say how excellent the band was! For the ceremony, the band provided a speaker and a representative to press “play” on our music. We also had a trio perform beautifully at cocktail hour. One fun note: we opted for parent dances, and the band had no issues with my Bruce Springsteen deep cut. The singer even channeled his “Boss” to really sound like Bruce! Our dance floor was full from the start, and we loved the sets they played. We had a blast dancing at our wedding - Highly recommend Bachelor Boys Band!

have a live band. We booked the nine piece band, ceremony string trio, ceremony sound, jazz trio for cocktail hour and lighting package all through the Bachelor Boys. It was so nice being able to book all of these services through one company which helped simplify the planning process. During the planning phase and leading up to the event, Colin was very helpful, responsive, and detail-oriented. The band itself was very talented and played the exact mix of music that we wanted. It was great having family and friends of all ages out on the dance floor. We wanted an awesome dance party and that’s what we got! Everything went so smoothly and according to plan, and four months later we are still getting compliments from friends and relatives on how awesome the band was!

We had an absolute blast performing for you and your guests. That said, we’re very sorry that the band's attire didn't match your dress code. The event was marked as cocktail on the planning page, and we're unsure whether that was a technical glitch or other error, but either way, we're sorry for missing the mark there and will certainly address it with the musicians. We also hear you on the MC announcements and the cake-cutting song, and will pass that feedback along to the team so we can avoid these errors in the future. Amber was a dream to work with-- she was so flexible and accommodating, and she carried out every single aspect of our vision perfectly. The band even accommodated a last minute (week before) change to one of our ceremony songs. They were also super flexible during the reception when our timeline got messed up, and they made sure that all the songs that we had told them were important to us got played. Our only regret was that we didn't have enough time for them to play longer! The vocals were amazing, and the songs they learned per our request were performed to perfection. Everyone was on the dance floor the entire time they played, and every song was a hit! We even had people come up to us after that said they normally prefer a DJ at weddings, but our band changed their mind. Can't recommend Bachelor Boys Band enough!! If you're on the fence, hire them!!

We knew we were in good hands when multiple of our other vendors were very familiar with them, and told us we made an excellent choice. When our officiant heard we were using them for ceremony sound support, he just said: “oh enough said - then I’m not worried at all.” The band on the day was really great – their set list had a nice variety that catered to different age groups, and they had a really nice energy. And yes they kept us dancing all night!

100+ on the dance floor and longer through the night than an average wedding. You could tell the guests wanted to be on the dance floor when the band was playing and took a break when the band did. I highly recommend the band if you want an exciting and fun party at your reception! They even sang our first dance song which they did AMAZINGLY! We loved the cello & piano for our ceremony as well. They followed cues and played all the requested songs for each part of the ceremony. The blues band during cocktail was fun as people enjoyed appetizers and drinks. We were incredibly impressed with the band's musical performances and ceremony sound support. Our most frequent guest compliment is how awesome the band was. We had a 6-piece band for our 100-guest creative black tie wedding. They were able to read the room for song choices and played plenty of songs from our recommended list that were a hit! Communication was not at the same level as most of our other vendors. We only had one 20 minute phone conversation less than two weeks before our wedding. Where we had a huge issue was the up lighting of our reception space. We had discussed a white or warm amber color and when we joined our reception the lighting was blue (also not a color in our wedding color palette). We asked them to change it to the warm amber and it was briefly changed to lime green until it was correctly changed after asking again. This was fine until we started seeing photos from guests, vendors and our professional photographer with this blue lighting. We emailed Mike asking about why the blue lighting occurred and if they can provide any compensation (to at least help cover extra photo editing). Mike's emailed response said "there was time [during cocktail hour] to switch beforehand if you were unhappy" and "There's no discrepancy that the lighting looks blue in these pictures, but the lighting used was a white. You would have noticed a blue during the room reveal so maybe it's something w/ the reflection off the stone or something with your friend's cell phone." They did end up refunding us the full cost of the lighting. We felt this response to be very unprofessional, lacking accountability and victim blaming. TL;DR: recommend for band purposes only, don't use for lighting

I simply wanted to provide an explanation as to why the white lighting we planned for/used may have appeared blue in some photos – LED colors are often not picked up properly by cell phones and the color discrepancy can be made more intense when filters are used on the photos. That's all I was referring to when mentioning the discrepancy between the blue hue being less visible in person versus the reflection that was picked up by cameras. When you requested it after seeing photos, we were happy to change the lighting color on the night and we were, of course, happy to provide a refund to cover the editing cost for photos where the lighting appeared blue. I'm very sorry that these lighting issues affected your event and I hope the refund helped improve your experience with us. Wishing you and Jack all the best!

d knew we had to have them play at ours. The inquiry process was easy & simple - once we submitted our request, Mike from Bachelor Boys got in touch with us promptly and we were able to chat over the phone to talk through how the band could help create our ideal wedding day. Based on what we wanted, we went with the trio of strings to play our ceremony and opted for the 9-piece band to play the reception. We had no regrets, as the strings played our requested songs beautifully, with many compliments from our friends and family regarding their compositions. The 9-piece band also crushed the reception and helped bring all our guests onto the dance floor. The band covered a wide array of genres, from wedding classics to modern day hits. Our guests could not stop raving about the band and how amazing they were. We only wished that there was clearer communication upfront about the capability of playing special requests live - we had initially created a Spotify playlist to share the type of music we wanted to hear at the reception and highlighted a few of the specific songs in that playlist to be performed live at the reception, though we later found out closer to the wedding day that the band could only stream the songs. Aside from that misunderstanding, the band was truly amazing and if you want to have your guests dancing all night at your wedding, we could not recommend the Bachelor Boys Band enough. Thank you Mike and the rest of the Bachelor Boys Band for creating a night that we will never forget!

s you think through the little details of how you want the day to flow. We loved that we were able to easily add on ceremony and cocktail hour music. The band kept the energy high and the dance floor crowded! So many guests mentioned how great the band was after the night had ended. The price is incredible in comparison to other groups. We were naturally worried that we hadn't seen the full group prior to the wedding night, but the group that was assembled by Amber surpassed our expectations!

hey were very responsive answering questions by email. They are reasonably priced given their level of talent, booking them was a no brainer for us. We booked a 7 piece band to play at our reception and booked them for ceremony audio support. All of our guests keep telling us how awesome our band was and how much fun they had, I would definitely book them!

g to work with us with venue changes due to weather which I truly appreciated even though it wasn’t their first choice. We had a little confusion about services we had requested vs things that would be nice to have but it was all sorted out with plenty of time to spare. The one thing is we increased our band size requesting a horn but didn’t receive that during reception. It ended up not mattering. The band sounded so so great without it. It was just something my husband and I both had hoped for. They rocked the reception and were super great musicians. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

and were NOT disappointed. Our guests were up and dancing all night, and everyone kept telling us how much they loved the music. People told us it felt like they were at a concert, and that they couldn't remember when they'd had that much fun at a wedding. The manager, Colin, was very easy to work with, and the online portal for getting all the details of your wedding down made planning very easy and communication super clear. We had a band member emcee for us, and he did an amazing job, making the whole evening feel seamless despite some night-of pivots to the order of events. Finally, we reserved a photobooth through the Bachelor Boys, and were delighted to see how much fun our guests had with it. All in all, we're so happy we booked the Bachelor Boys! Easily the best decision we made in a vendor for our wedding.
