We had our wedding at Backroad Barn and Gardens on 9.27.2025. It was the most amazing venue we could have ever asked for. Our ceremony out by the shilohs made for the most beautiful scenery when guests were arriving and finding there seats and or reception inside of the barn was perfect, still elegant and modern. The owners were so incredibly helpful, responsive and communication with them was amazing. The girls used the airbnb on the proberty to get ready in the morning and it was the perfect amount of space. So glad we found this place, it made our wedidng day even more perfect!
Besides the gorgeous, well cared for, picturesque location the owners/hosts are the most considerate, hardworking, compassionate people! They were beyond accommodating, running around tending to every need, every detail and every guest! We attended a wedding which required last minute changes due to weather and they quickly transferred all the ceremony items and rearranged everything to allow for it to take place inside the barn where the reception was held. Now for the most heartfelt accommodation… my grandmother was catered to immaculately as were the other elder guests that arrived. She was given warm blankets and warm beverages prepared by the owner herself! When we arrived on the charter bus, the moment she saw her walker, the owner pulled up and drove her up to the barn as she continued to do for anyone in need! The owners (husband and wife) and their son were the most wonderful gracious proprietors and I would recommend this venue and their Airbnb to EVERYONE! We attended a wedding but plan to book a stay at their Airbnb. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING! You are the rare type of people that bring me give me happiness knowing they still exist today!

Backroad Barn & Gardens welcomes you to its 4,200 square-foot barn where you can commemorate your milestone. Rich wooden interiors, vaulted ceilings, and beams ideal for hanging florals and fairy lights create a pastoral atmosphere for a memorable occasion. Enchanting chandeliers hang from the ceiling, and windows allow for some natural light. A converted wooden grain bin makes up the Distillery Bar, and the barn also features a powder room, a lounge, and bathroom amenities. By the patio, you'll find a pondless waterfall for timeless wedding photos. The authentic 1800s granary sets the scene for nearlyweds seeking a classic chapel backdrop. Couples can also host their festivities outdoors surrounded by verdant flora. For your mini guests, there will be plenty to do. An area with a basketball hoop and other games will keep the little ones entertained while the adults relax and mingle. What's more, the property has accessible facilities so everyone can celebrate in the utmost comfort.

HI there! We'd like to introduce ourselves: David and Jane Rieman. I, Jane, grew up on this farm that my Grandparents started in the 1920's. In 2002 David and I came into the operation which then was an active dairy farm. We both still work with large animals, but, now at the University of Wisconsin. In our "spare time" we enjoying being with our 3 boys. We look forward to bringing your dream wedding day to life whether it be in the barn or amidst the flowers. We want to help you have the perfect day!!
