oing to hire a wedding videographer because, like many other couples, I thought I didn’t need one. Boy, was I wrong!! I am SO thankful that I decided to hire a videographer and I absolutely would have regretted it had I not. So far, I have only gotten back my 1 minute sneak peak, and I have probably watched and shared that video a million times. It is not only amazing getting to relive that day, but Kyle has a way of capturing the day that just makes me remember all of the emotions that I felt too! Kyle himself is also fantastic. He is very calm and laid back, yet brought so much energy and fun to my day that I won’t forget. He was super responsive and professional, and he worked amazingly with my photographer (someone he had only met once, years before) - watching them work together was like watching magic happen! Kyle is the best and I would definitely recommend hiring him, but he doesn’t need my review. His videos speak for themselves! Grab the tissue box, go to his website or Instagram, watch a few videos, and then be thankful when you hire Kyle!

you won't regret it.

d amazing, he is SUCH a good hype man. It was important to us that the vendors we hired who would be with us for most of the day were fun to be around/good vibes, and we are so happy that Kyle was there for our day. We initially signed our contract for his base package, but ended up upgrading everything the day after the wedding because we knew how talented he is. I know a lot of people hesitate on getting a videographer and wonder if it's worth the money and I swear it's worth EVERY penny if you go with Kyle! We've watched our video a million times already and will never stop!

beautifully capture the sentiment, the love and the pure emotions of each couple’s wedding day. Kyle is fun, laidback, genuine, and is so easy going with any ideas you would like to try out. The way he edits will make you feel like you’re in a freaking movie! And that’s the point - he captures the protagonists of the love story. Listen, he is worth every single dime because his work speaks for itself! If you are seeking a videographer, please book him. Just do it! Thank you Kyle for everything! Shay + I are so grateful for you.

ur film is! Thank you Kyle for capturing our wedding so perfectly!

two assistants to help with all of the shots we were looking for! He got our wedding video back to us in less than a month, and everyone who has seen it has been completely blown away by the quality and emotion he was able to capture from our day. product. Kyle will work with you in whatever wild ideas you have, he'll get the shots you wanted, and will also get the shots you never even knew you wanted to fill the rest. There was never a moment when Kyle stood out on the day of. He absolutely blends into the crowd becoming another guest dancing on the dance floor and joking with you to make feel comfortable in front of the camera. He was also seamless in moving from the getting ready-first look-ceremony-cocktail hour and to the reception. My husband and I cried watching the video and can’t stop sharing it with our friends and family. Kyle has such a talent and delievers more then just a video, he captures your story, your entire blur of a day, to look back on for a lifetime. We will be forever thankful. Kyle is the absolute best!

ng date a few times due to COVID, but Kyle was so accommodating and understanding through it all. On our wedding day, Kyle brought such a fun energy and made everyone feel so comfortable while filming. We got our video back last week and I knew it was going to be awesome, but he far exceeded all of our expectations! Kyle is so creative and captured our amazing day perfectly. I would 100% recommend Kyle to anyone looking for a videographer! Best decision ever! Thank you so much Kyle!

hen needed to get the best shots. We postponed our original big wedding, and kyle came to our minimony to shoot it for us and sent us a perfect highlight video. We ended up having to switch venues when our original one stopped hosting weddings after covid, and kyle was completely onboard with all the new dates and new venue. When he came for our big wedding, he brought his brother Julian, who was also extremely professional and easy to work with. He stayed for the entirety of our wedding and captured every moment. We got the highlight video within 2 months and it is incredible! He combined footage from both our minimony and our big wedding day. All our family and friends have raved about his professionalism and talent. We would highly recommend!

s captured all of our big moments. Forever grateful for Backstory Wedding Films hard work and dedication.

easy to work with, but they made everyone so comfortable the day of and kept us all laughing. at we have seen so far look amazing and we can't wait for the rest!

video is unbelievable. The quality of our video rivals Hollywood movies. The turn around on receiving it, too, during the busy summer months was excellent. We could not be happier. HIGHLY recommend!!!!

. His easy going demeaner and humor also worked well with all of our guests. We are very pleased to have used him for the wedding.

ome I can’t say enough good things about him. He lets us see a few “sneak peeks” and we CANNOT WAIT to see the final product. Thanks again Kyle!! Bryan and katie :)

rience. He worked with me to work in moments I wanted added to my highlight film. I can't wait to get all the raw footage and have a movie night with my hubby. Kyle's work is outstanding and speaks for itself, his editing style is amazing and you can tell the work he puts into his craft. He is also is a very outgoing guy and fun to around at your wedding. We are so happy with our choice to choose Backstory films and will be recommending to family and friends.

favorite. We loved him as soon as we met months before the wedding, and were thrilled with his communication during the (stressful) months leading up to the wedding date. Kyle came to the rehearsal dinner sunset sail with a drone, and got some of the best shots I’ve ever seen. His skill and experience with the camera are equaled only by his personality, you’ll feel like he’s an invited guest and genuinely enjoy his company (ROSES). He released a 1 minute teaser video THE DAY AFTER the wedding (dedication), and it absolutely blew everyone’s mind who watched it. We can’t WAIT to see the full video, and also can’t wait to grab a beer with Kyle soon. HIRE THIS MAN.

photographer & got some amazing shots, we are so thrilled with the way the video turned out, better than expected. Me & my now husband are so grateful that we decided to get a videographer for the wedding because the day goes by so fast, this will be something we will have to look back on for the rest of our lives. I would highly recommended him to everyone, if you are looking for a videographer you won’t be disappointed if you hire Backstory.

it feel second nature to be surrounded by cameras all day. He and my lovely Photographer, Coli Michael seemed as though they had spent years working side by side together. If you want a laid back videographer that captures your day in the most naturally romantic way possible, I would definitely hire Kyle!

le/ideas we had into consideration; not to mention he’s so much fun to be around, just another guest at the wedding!! His videos come with drone overviews of the property & he upgraded the length with us so we got a longer highlight film in addition to all our raw footage of the day! Our film came out absolutely perfect - it’s a beautiful mix of romantic & fun! We love it & have received tons of compliments. Can’t go wrong choosing Kyle & the Backstory team for your big day!

rfectly capture the couples he is working with. I have watched our trailer about 10 times already since receiving it a little over 24 hours ago. I cry every time because it instantly takes me back to the best day of my life; the day I married my best friend. I am so glad we chose Backstory Wedding Films for our big day. I feel so blessed that Kyle was able to capture our wedding so brilliantly and we can watch and relive this day whenever we’d like for the rest of our forever. Thank you so much!

nt)! The video that Kyle made perfectly captured our day. I highly recommend selecting Kyle as your wedding day videographer. On top of the amazing video he developed, he was helpful through the planning process, was on time the day of the wedding, and was fun to be around, which I think is important for someone who will be following you with a camera for a good part of your big day! He also had some great ideas for lighting and shots to get throughout the day, which contributed to better pictures from our photographer as well!

not recommend him enough. The whole process was so smooth and he makes everyone feel so comfortable while they’re filming. You can tell Kyle has so much fun while filming weddings and truly enjoys it. They work hard but also found time to get down on the dance floor a bit too :) seriously can’t say enough good things!

erally obsessed and i loved working with Kyle! He was so professional yet felt like family ! Thank you SO MUCH! seriously! You are amazing at what you do!

. Thank you!

mmend Kyle and his team any higher than that. If we had to do it all over again, Backstory films would remain a repeat vendor! Not only did they capture everything that was special to us (speeches, toasts, etc), but they also caught little moments that we would never have even been remembered without our film. "Easy to work with" is an understatement. They interacted beautifully with our photographer and her team, with our event staff, and even our guests! Kyle made it easy to be filmed - no intrusive lights or scripted directions - the final product is so simply "us" that we felt we were re-living the day all over again. Natural and warm and loving and FUN! We adored the team and seriously hope that you let them in on your day, too. Not only will you not be disappointed, but you'll be crying happy tears while watching everything over and over (and over and over) again. Thank you Kyle- honestly. You were fantastic! [-and Shush, too ;-) ] <3 <3 Em & AJ

with Kyle. Kyle is the perfect combination of professional and personable. Kyle was always easily accessible whenever we had any questions while planning before the wedding. On our actual wedding day, Kyle kept both my husband and I, as well as both of our wedding parties, relaxed and having fun! Sometimes we even forgot he was recording- he’s that talented! We absolutely, 100% recommend Kyle and his services through Backstory Wedding Films. We are beyond thrilled with our video and so extremely grateful we have this to cherish as memory of our wedding day. Our video brings tears to our eyes every time we watch it.

, we decided no and months later we revisited the idea as we did not want to miss out on any detail . I researched local videographers and found Backstory by Boulay and we instantly decided that YES this was so worth it! Kyle’s cinematic style was exactly what I dreamed of and I watched each video he had posted about a million times - cried from being filled with love and joy, and then watched each one about a million more times! When we met with Kyle he explained everything and understood the stress as he had also just recently gotten married. Fast forward months later and Kyle’s work just kept amazing us and we knew we had made the right decision. The day of the wedding Kyle was extremely respectful to all of our guests, wedding party and other vendors. His professionalism while also being able to crack a joke to lighten us up made the day so much more enjoyable. Julian was equally as amazing and also was an honorary bridesmaid for the day as he helped hold my veil to get the perfect shot. We just received our video and let me tell you that I think I’ve already watched it 100 times and have cried at every heartfelt moment, and relived our day in a way that photos just aren’t able to capture. If you are unsure about whether a videographer is worth it, just watch one of Backstory’s videos and the packages are extremely reasonable . Go with Backstory and I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed. Thank you Kyle and Julian for capturing the best day ever!
