Backwoods Venue 222 is simply amazing! The venue is quaint and rustic but with so much class and style. Even not decorated it is a truly beautiful place and has everything you could need or want. A beautiful indoor area with multi rooms, a main area with incredibly high ceilings for the vows and dancing, tables, chairs, decorations, food area, photo op area, cake and punch area, a bar area, rooms for bride and bridesmaids and groomsmen…and of course Aimee to guide you through the process. I was a newbie and had never decorated for a wedding before but with a lot of hard work and planning, Aimee’s help and guidance and believing in me it went off without a hitch! Aimee is so kind, very responsive, easy to work with, funny, down to earth and just makes you feel like you are at home at her venue. She puts forth 💯 effort to ensure that the wedding party and guests feel comfortable without being intrusive. She knows her business, the venues history and is excited about what she does. Her entire family is so kind and welcoming. You will feel like you are home for any event you have here. 10 out of 10 for the best venue around!!!

Backwoods Venue 222 is a beautiful rustic space with a lot of flexibility. There are some amazing spots for photos during you event. Aimee has a passion for this space and it shows!

Aimee was very professional , we loved working with her . My daughter got married in September of this last year . It started out a very rainy day so plans were going to have to change . Aimee was right there willing to help with whatever we needed . She made our day run smooth . I would recommend this venue to anyone .

I was the planner for the wedding that was held at Backwoods Venue 222 and ABSOLUTELY LOVED the venue! Aimee was amazing to work with on everything! She told us to contact her with any questions and that we did and she was quick to respond. Aimee was very accommodating for us to see the venue a couple times to look things over. This venue is BEAUTIFUL and RUSTIC! I would highly recommend this venue if you are looking for a rustic, but yet elegant, fun, and family atmosphere!!!

This venue is absolutely phenomenal . Son and daughter in law got married and had reception here in September. Everything was perfect and owner, Amy was so wonderful, very personable and down to earth. My only wish…. We had this beautiful venue in Wyoming for future events (when our daughter gets married).❤️

The venue is stunning & the newly renovated suites speak for themselves. I’m so happy with all of the different photo opportunities we had. There’s so many to choose from but the fireplace, office, & the wooden staircase are truly one of a kind (my favorite). Aimee really puts her heart into every aspect ensuring that our event went as smooth as possible. A venue & coordinator all in one, you can’t get better than that!

This is a beautiful and rustic space with a lot of flexibility for seating, ceremony and dancing. Also great elements inside and out for photos. Aimee is the best- super responsive and helpful and genuinely enjoys every single wedding!

When we toured the Backwoods venue 222 we immediately fell in love. It was the perfect location for our laid back, but classic traditional wedding. Aimee was amazing to work with and the included decor room was an added bonus, making our wedding planning and day of stress free. Our wedding day was perfectly what we were looking for, where the location and Aimee allowed us to really be us. We had an amazing location with character and age, with the flexibility to stream the Chiefs game, and just relax and have a great day. Would absolutely recommend the Backwoods Venue 222 for any couple who are looking for a unique and timeless venue with a lot of perks to make the planning so easy.

Backwoods 222 was a dream! The venue is absolutely gorgeous. Aimee was so helpful and the sweetest person, she made sure that we had everything we needed and wasn’t afraid to jump in and help us out. She was quick to respond to any questions we had throughout the whole process. The decor room was amazing, it’s included with the venue and there are so many options and different styles of things that you can use. I would love to be able to have another event here someday!

I can't say enough good things about Aimee and her venue. She saved my daughter's wedding and it was an amazing experience. My daughter lives out of state and had booked a venue that would not have held enough people. So I lucked out when I reached out to Aimee and her venue was available!! Aimee went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for my daughters wedding. Her venue is so accommodating inside and out. We lucked out and the weather was perfect for an outside wedding which was exactly what my daughter wanted. I really can't say enough good things about this venue. They have pretty much everything you could ever want to decorate, table and chairs and access for the bride with her party to stay and get ready for their big day. There is so many places on her location for pictures because she has it beautifully decorated inside and out. My daughter had a fall wedding and the grounds have beautiful flowers everywhere for every season. If you are looking for the perfect venue you definitely need to check out this venue.

We had the most fantastic day and couldn't have pulled it off without Aimee! She is so sweet, so knowledgeable, and so attentive! I planned my wedding from out of state and could not see the venue in person until about 2 weeks before. So, Amiee was so amazing at Facetiming me, answering my 1000s of questions, and helping me with absolutely everything! The venue is beautiful and the decorations room was a HUGE selling point for me! There were SO many beautiful things to choose from. I have nothing but great things to say about this venue and Aimee! If you're thinking about booking at Backwoods Venue 222, this is your sign to do it!

The venue was super beautiful and was a perfect fit for our wedding! Even with the rain leading up to the big day the roads were perfect to get to the venue and parking was good for our guests. The owner is very helpful with everything and also gives wonder recommendations on other vendors such as food, cake, bartenders, and DJ.

This venue was absolutely amazing. Aimee was so fantastic and helped our day run so smoothly as well. She was the best host for us! We loved staying on site in the suites as well

Wedding Date: 10/15/22 Let me just start by saying that our experience here was unmatched and could not have been any better. Aimee is the genuine article and saved my bacon on our rehearsal day by getting us the table-cloths that I totally forgot. The venue itself is stunning. We hardly needed to do any decorating because of how beautiful it is on its own. Aimee helped us every step of the way and made our wedding prep easy and the day of the absolute best day ever. Our guests are still talking about the venue and the party months later! I couldn’t recommend Backwoods 222 more if what you’re looking for is a personal, magical experience.

When we met Aimee Andrew’s, the owner of Backwoods 222, we knew we had found something special. She was vibrant and cheerful. She was so excited to host our wedding and we fed off her energy. We loved the history of the venue and Aimee’s elation with telling the story behind it too. Backwoods was the first venue we looked at and we didn’t need to see any other venue after that. We knew it was the place to celebrate our marriage. Aside from Aimee being an amazing person to work with, she also has plenty of decorations on hand which can save you a ton in decor costs for your wedding. She’s also great with communication and setting up times to meet at the venue to try out decor ideas and troubleshoot where things will go. To top it all off it’s super affordable! I would definitely recommend Backwoods Venue 222 to anyone looking for a low key barn wedding. We had the most amazing time at our wedding.

Aimee was absolutely wonderful in every way. Reliable, responsive, helpful, you name it. They even have decorations accessible for free if you have a tight budget. They have tons of recommendations for other vendors you may need that are all equally wonderful. Made my wedding a hit and a cherished memory.

If there were only two words I could tell you about this venue, they would be... "Book it!!" Fortunately, I have more characters than that. Aimee and her family are genuine, helpful and beautiful. From the moment we walked into the venue with our daughter, and now son-in-law, we knew it was the place. From the beautiful gardens outside to the huge hearth on one end to the double doors on the other inside, it's gorgeous. There isn't anything you don't have here. Aimee has a room full of decorations, plenty of powder room space, an area for a beverage station, a specific area for the food and the DJ plus, there are two separate bedrooms on the second floor. We booked the venue for the entire weekend and didn't break the bank. The girls and I all stayed at the venue the night before the wedding, and we were all comfortable., there were 7 of us. The bedrooms each have their own bathroom and closet space. There is even a little kitchenette area between the bedrooms for those morning mimosa's and pastries. The day of the wedding, Aimee was there to help us. She offered assistance but let us have the experience of "The Day." She helped me stay calm and kept me on task. She is a true gem for all you moms. Aimee is with you every step of the way. When we found out the food vendor couldn't stay to serve, Aimee came to our rescue. She has, what I call, Aimee's Army. She made a couple phone calls and boom, servers. There isn't anything that we needed that Aimee and her family didn't take care of. She was always available but never intrusive. She makes you feel like you are family from the beginning and welcomes you as family at the finish. The venue is reasonably priced and beautiful. I would recommend Aimee and Backwood's Venue 222 to everyone getting married. You will not regret the choice, I promise!!!

Backwoods is a beautiful place inside and out even before we decorated. Aimee was helpful and made us fill like family. There was so much room for our guest and vendors. I love the extra rooms that we had to get ready for the bug day. I would recommend Backwoods 222 to anyone that is getting married.

After scouring the local wedding Facebook group, I came across Backwoods Venue 222. I looked at three venues but I had "musts" and Aimee's place checked all the boxes! We were able to have the property from Friday at 10am to Sunday at 10am. There are two getting ready rooms, a beautiful open floor plan, gorgeous landscape, and not to mention the most wonderful host! We hired Aimee as our day of coordinator which made everything run smoothly the day of. She helped me and my mom keep our cool while she kept the guys in line! I was very thankful to have the time to decorate well in advance, stay the night in the suite with my best friend the night before and with my HUSBAND the night of. My biggest tip to anyone would be to stay where you party. We walked around after everyone left and took it all in. It was the most wonderful experience. We'd get married all over again just to enjoy it all again! Thank you Aimee and Kelly for your hospitality!

Aimee is the sweetest person and so easy to work with! She has made Backwoods Venue 222 so beautiful and I was so pleased on my wedding day with how helpful she was. I would recommend this venue to anyone, it’s in the perfect location and such a peaceful place to tie the knot with your significant other! We love this venue!

The Backwoods Venue 222 is such a pleasant surprise! Although it was the first venue on our list of five to look at, we knew that it was the place our son and future daughter-in-law would be married at. The owner was a delight to work with coordinating a number of details and having a room full of wedding decorations passed on by other happy couples for use. Located in Gower, it is close to the Airport, Platte City, and Smithville giving us a variety of places for out-of-towners to stay and caters to choose from. The property lends itself to a wide range of photo opportunities with beautiful sunsets, a huge barn, the three story stone chimney, flowers galore, rock walls, stone patio, out buildings and an cool looking old truck. Once you step inside you are again awestruck by the massive fireplace and mantel and then your mouth drops as you turn to see an cathedral like ceiling with a the other end framed by flowing lighted curtains. Even with COVID19 we were all able to socially distance and enjoy ourselves. We could not have been happier and would highly recommend this to all couples as a place to start their happily ever after.

Aimee was so helpful, warm and enthusiastic about everything to do with my daughter's wedding day!! She made herself available for visits that we needed to make back to the venue way before the wedding date and was always quickly responsive to any and all questions that we had! I would highly recommend her and the venue was fabulous!!

Father of the bride here. Couldn't recommend Backwoods Venue enough. Aimee was a pleasure to work with and very responsive. Loved the vendor open house event - we found our DJ, photobooth, and photographer from it. I liked going with someone that already knew the venue layout and location. I especially like Backwoods' all-inclusive no-nonsense pricing. 1 price for everything and they didn't nickel and dime us on any extras. Since we booked a year in advance, I really liked that even though we planned ceremony outside on patio and reception indoors, the venue is capable of everything indoors because enough room and heated and air conditioned - so weather was never a factor. Took all the worry out of any crazy weather when planning so far in advance. And most important, letting us bring in a caterer and us provide the full open bar made things simple and kept costs lower. No food or alcohol licenses needed. My daughter's special day was perfect and couldn't have been smoother. Thank you Aimee and Backwoods for everything!

Backwoods Venue 222 has been a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Our wedding turned out just the way we imagined because this place is stunning and Aimee (the venue owner) is a joy to work with. It was a relief knowing she runs a venue for fun and that it's not just focused around making money.

We did a steampunk theme for our wedding and it turned out beautiful!! the venue was PERFECT for our theme!! Aimee is the sweetest lady too!

Truly my dream wedding came true. I came across this venue by simply googling barn wedding venues near me and told my fiance we needed to go look at it. I emailed Aimee and in a matter of minutes I had a response from her with different times she was able to meet with us. the moment I left the venue after meeting her I told my fiancee that was the place!!! Aimee is absolutely wonderful and there for you from start to finish. any questions or concerns I had along the way she would reassure me or have the answers right off the bait. The night before the wedding she was there to help with anything we asked or to calm me down if I was worried about something. Me and my bridesmaids spent the night at the venue in the bridal suite she had upstairs and it was alot of fun to have everyone there with me. That next morning Aimee was back at the venue in the morning to help with any last minute jitters or this gs that needed to be done. I could not have asked for a better venue or person to be there to help me along the way. If a rustic barn wedding is what you are looking for Backwoods Venue 222 is the place you need. We searched for months to find the right venue. As soon as we saw this one and met Aimee (the venue owner) we knew this was going to be the place! It is a gorgeous venue and Aimee treats everyone like a friend she's known forever. The burden of finding a place and worrying about the fine print was gone immediately and there was no catches or changes after we made the decision to have our wedding here.

The Venue was so beautifully done. Aimee paid attention to detail and made sure we were 100% comfortable. The bride and her party got to stay overnight before the wedding. They had a mini fridge, a microwave, showers, and enough room for the whole party to get ready. As the groom, I had 4 groomsmen including 1 best man and getting ready was a very comfortable experience. I loved the 2 levels at the venue for more room just for storage or fitting in more guests. Overall it was the absolute best day of my life and Aimee is the one to thank for everything that she did for us to make it that way!!

I am so happy I chose to have my wedding at Backwoods Venue 222! Not only is the venue absolutely beautiful, but the owner, Aimee, is absolutely amazing and was willing to do whatever it takes to make our day perfect! She answered all of my many questions leading up to the day of the wedding. She has so many decorations that we didn't really have to buy a lot! She let us choose whatever vendors we wanted. Aimee also had many recommendations for vendors when I was stuck. On the day of the wedding, Aimee was there in the morning making sure that everything was alright and was always available if we needed her (even when she wasn't on the property). She came back right before the ceremony started to help get people ready. She also was there during the whole reception and was always asking if me or my husband needed anything. Our polaroid camera even broke during the reception and she ran to the store in town and bought one for us! She also stuck around during cleanup after the reception and helped us pack things up. If you haven't checked this place out for your wedding, please do! You will not be disappointed!!

Being from Gower, the moment I got engaged, there was no doubt in my mind where my wedding was going to be held... Backwoods Venue 222. I have known the owners for many, many years and I knew I wanted Amy to be a part in my special day. This Venue is absolutely breathtaking and was a very special place for my husband and I to start our forever. My mom actually worked there when she was a young woman back when it was the Antique Barn. So to say that this Venue and owners hold a very special place in our hearts, is an understatement. You won’t find any better owners/hosts than that of Amy and Kelly. Amy will go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need and will help with absolutely everything that she can. There are too many amazing things that this Venue has to offer, but to name a few: the fact that the rehearsal dinner, wedding and reception were all held at one location was perfect! The bridal suite is gorgeous and so comfortable, plus me and my maids were able to stay Friday night and have our hair and makeup done on site was so convenient. Our water heater at our house went out the day of rehearsal dinner and fortunately I was able to take a shower and get ready at the Venue, life saver! The options of how and where you want to have your ceremony on site are endless! On top of all that, there is a room full of decorations that you are welcome to use however you would like. The rural setting was ideal to get the most beautiful pictures that you will cherish for the rest of your lives. There are so many options for decor and the Barn itself without any decorations is stunning. Amy and Kelly have done a wonderful job at keeping it in its original state and all its glory! The kitchen on site was perfect for preparing for the rehearsal dinner and the reception food. My husband and I cannot say enough great things about this site other than we would not have wanted to start our life together as a married couple in any other location. We cannot thank Amy and Kelly enough for sharing this magical place with us. Our wedding was not only perfect because of our family and friends sharing the day with us but also because we were able to share it in the most perfect and beautiful location. If you are planning a wedding, corporate event, shower, birthday party or get together, you have to check Backwoods Venue 222 out... or take my word for it. I guarantee you won’t regret it! My husband actually located Backwoods Venue 222. I was kind of hesitant at first because it was about 50 minutes from our home. But after our first viewing of the venue with Aimee I knew right then this was the ONE! We booked our wedding for August 24, 2019 and it was absolutely PERFECT!!! Aimee is such a pleasure to work with and she is so helpful. We got so many compliments on the venue and set up of our ceremony and reception. This was truly a fairy tale wedding. A HUGE THANKS to Aimee and her hubby as they did everything in their power to make sure our day was perfect! WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND BACKWOODS VENUE!!! (Once you see this venue none will compare!)

Backwoods 222 is beautiful and the owners of this venue were incredibly helpful and kind. We had a little over 200 guests and the space was perfect.

I would not have wanted my wedding day anywhere else. Aimee was very sweet and helpful, if I ever needed anything I knew she was only a text or a call away.

I cannot say enough good things about this venue & our experience here!! Aimee, the owner, is an absolute delight to work with! The venue is beautiful & so is the country side it's on. You can get some amazing photos inside & outside. My guests talked very highly of the place too. Aimee allows outside vendors so that made it nice! We wanted to provide the alcohol & pick our catering. When you rent the place for a Saturday wedding you get it Friday as well. We had our rehearsal dinner here & got the place all decorated Friday night so we didn't have to worry about it the wedding day. Was awesome to be able to get it out of the way & not be rushed the wedding day I would highly recommend this venue! Absolutely beautiful!!!

We had our wedding at Backwoods Venue 222 in June 2018 and were blown away with the overall experience. The venue it self was exactly what we looking for as far as atmosphere, scenery and overall experience. Amiee and her family were extremely helpful in the run up and during the course of our weekend - we couldn’t praise them enough. The venue had everything we wanted including: decorations, tables and chairs, arbor (that we were able to move exactly where we wanted). The barn is temperature controlled, this worked perfectly for our wedding weekend with the temperature it was outside. The bridal suite was amazing, and made for cute pictures inside the barn. I highly recommend this venue!!

We celebrated our daughter’s special wedding day at Backwoods Venue 222 and fell in love with this barn and owner Aimee Andrews! There's so much I could Say about Backwoods 222 and the owner Aimee! For starters the venue is absolutely stunning. It's so unique and it barely needs any decorations because it's just naturally beautiful on it's own, however, if you do want some extra decor Aimee has just about everything you might need already there. The venue is a great size, you have indoor and outdoor options for ceremony and reception possibilities, and there is a darling bridal suite inside the barn with two roomy bedrooms and bathrooms forstaying overnight in and getting ready with your girls! If I we're going to do my wedding over again I would choose Backwoods every time. Also, Aimee who owns this lovely venue is amazing!!! She's so helpful, kind, welcoming, friendly... Everything you could ask for in a host! She is always around and more than willing to help when you need it, but isn't obtrusive. She really helped bring our vision for our wedding to life! So thankful for her and her amazing venue!! Highly highly recommend.

You hear it from everyone that their wedding was the best day of their lives. But it is so true. My wedding was perfect. And the venue was a huge icing on the cake. I absolutely loved it and so did all my guests. Everything was beautiful, from the waterfall of lights to the rows of corn outside. It was an amazing day at an amazing place! Highly recommend

My husband and I got married about a week ago at Backwoods Venue 222. We both can not thank Aimee enough for everything she has done this last 12 months during our planning. My first conversation with Aimee really sold me on wanting to see and meet with her she was very friendly and wanted to know our story and what we where looking for a lot of places I contacted they spent most of our conversations talking sole about their venues and what they would do and what they would not allow. I appreciate Aimee's generosity to allow couples the two day deal where you are able to not only come in the day before to set up and also stay the night with your wedding party or family in the cottages. We felt more like we where home away from home. We wanted to be able to put our own touches into our venue and with Backwoods Venue 222 you are more then able to do just about anything you imagine. The historical aspect of this place caught my attention and how well maintained she keeps not only the inside but the outside. I love the earthy rustic feel it gives no matter what season it is. t Aimee t Family and love is truly a passion and is seen throughout your whole experience with working with Aimee. This place is beyond amazing and magical and I feel every couple and family should experience. Its a place that hold many memories and more to come.

If you’re looking for a beautiful venue with a rustic feel, Backwoods Venue 222 is perfect! Aimee was so friendly and helpful from the first time I talked with her and she helped me all throughout the planning process. I loved that we had the venue all day Friday and Saturday because we were able to get all the decorating done on Friday so I was able to relax and enjoy my wedding day! We also got to have the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner at the venue so that was one less thing to worry about. And then my bridesmaids and I got to stay the night in the two bedroom cottage in the venue and have our last girls night before the wedding. Then Saturday morning hair and make up came to us to start the day off. We had our ceremony and reception inside for fear or Missouri weather in July. Aimee made sure the climate was very comfortable and was also there to help with things throughout the day such as the transition from chapel to reception. The transition went smooth and was very quick. We were able to enjoy the whole day with our friends and family without stressing out about anything! There were lots of memories made at Backwoods and everything turned out like a perfect fairytale!!

Backwoods Venue 222 is a gorgeous Venue!! The barn is breath taking and each room is so unique. You'll have an inside cottage for you and your ladies to enjoy and take your time getting ready in! We had our wedding there last September and it was truly out of a fairy tale! Aimee and her husband Kelley went above and beyond to make our day perfect!
